The reason people complain about the price is people want to buy every Tecno release in the market. I believe there is phone for every category of people from Tecno. Tecno is upgrading to the classy and premium grade.

5,000mah is a kill, just what is needed in Nigeria. But having that much big battery without fast charging is still a step back. That thing will take forever to charge, I mean I once had an iPad with 6,000mah battery and it takes like 6-7 hours to charge from 0-100.

My s6 has 2,550mah batter (to many that's too small battery), but do I complain? Nope. First because the small battery gives the phone a slimmer and sexier shape. Secondly FAST CHARGING. That thing charges incredibly fast that I don't even worry when my phone gets to 10%. I can charge this phone from 10%-80% over lunch (in less than 20mins).

The Tecno L5 is bundled with a very fast charger unlike the gionee M3 mini that takes 5hrs to charge full

Gionee M5 battery is 3600mAh, the battery can't even stand infinix hot note battery let alone this L5. Gionee M5 battery =3600mAh. Don't be deceived with the figure they wrote on paper.

You guys have not been able to give us the battery review of the gionee M5, I am expecting 5 days heavy usage from a 6000+mAh battery

The Camon C8 is better only in camera and internal memory but if you need an affordable 4G LTE phone, then camon C5 is your sure bet

Tecno has been doing well in the African market no doubt especially in Nigeria. They have been making a lot of profit because of their low cost phones which makes a lot of people to patronize them. But with their newly released Phantom 5 which nobody cares to buy has been making the company to really know what went wrong. As a technical guru, I am here to outline the reasons behind why people don't want to buy the phone.
1, The phone does not really worth the tag prize. A lot of people were astonished seeing the price tag of the phone to be 70k. What really makes the phone 70k is the question people keep asking and they have not been able to answer this simple question
2, There other phones that has Same features that comes to with the Phantom 5, still the price of the phones are not up to 70k. I'm not going to mention any phone because I'm not here to promote any company.
3, Nothing special on the phone that will interest or motivate people to buy the phone at 70k. Is it the ram, internal memory, 4lte, LCD,. In fact nothing special.
4, Tecno is really loosing their good reputation on Nigeria because their products are not durable. With this four points, I'm advising tecno to go back on their drawing board and think how to upgrade, and also employ more advertisers to keep advertising their products, if not they will keep going down and other brands will surely overthrow them. I rest my case

How do you know people are not buying it? The fact that you can't afford it doesn't mean others can't. Tecno has different phones for different people, so I don't see reasons you are complaining

You should have shown us camera samples in your review. I have held the phone and is premium

Gionee phones are not expensive. To me, it is the cheapest and best value for money you can get. M2 mini is 13,900 naira. m3 mini is 16,500 naira. m5 beats tecno phantom 5 hands down is sold for 43,500 naira while tecno phantom 5 is 69,999 naira.
