Ikeja Computer Village – the sounds of spades on concrete and pneumatic drill blasting against the thirty tarmac of Kodesoh street computer village Ikeja wrap the morning air in machine melody as workers of Arthur Energy Technology Ltd; the contractor for TECNO Mobile Ikeja street light project work their shift into the early hours of Wednesday

“Come, Today Thursday January 21st, 2016, the TECNO Mobile management and leaders of the community through a fully lit Computer village will usher everyone into a great business year

The Ikeja streetlight project a TECNO Mobile CSR initiative which has been two years in making aims to light the Ikeja computer village and its environs in solar powered streetlights made by Hong Kong LED lighting company iFlux, a member of the TRANSSION HOLDINGS. Lighting of the Ikeja mega electronics market will foster security and overall ambience of the market while revitalizing nightlife in the area which has been crippled in part, due to criminal activities that happen in dark alleys across the market streets.

TECNO Mobile has established itself as one of Africa’s top guns in mobile shipments and indeed Nigeria’s leading OEM vendor but it’s not stopping there. Year over year the tech giant rolls out one custom product after another. One of the outstanding products of the company is the Phantom 5 which has held its own among the high - end devices in the country.

This is another first from this company after it was adjudged the best customer centric mobile last year.
What do you guys think of this project from Tecno mobile?

Romance / A Sexy Gift Just In Time For Valentine by Orator2383: 3:35pm On Jan 16, 2016
So I bumped into this good friend just yesterday. He and I haven’t seen in a while.

We get talking and I asked after his babe.He said she's fine and then he talks about coming across an article where a blog reviews his best Android phones for Valentine’s. He reveals that he’s a little confused on what phone to get for his woman this Valentine’s. He wants me to pick from the five phones that were reviewed on the blog. He wants her to have something she would keep using for some time. Something chic, trendy and worth her time.

Now, this is easy for me, I reply with a smile, “Tecno Phantom 5.”

“Aren’t you recommending that because it’s the phone you’re using?”

“I won’t recommend something that I haven’t tried. Buy her the phone. It’s totally worth all the hype you’ve been hearing.

I stare at the crease on his forehead; he is still not convinced. And so I go ahead and pitch the phone’s specs and features to him.

I tell him about the scratch resistance screen. I show him the 13MP back camera and also show him the clarity of the 8MP front camera. He wants to see pictures; I open my gallery and he’s amazed at the quality of pictures he finds there, from both the front and back cameras.

He seems interested in the fingerprint sensor so I demonstrate how fast it works, adding that it is faster than Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and the iPhone 6 at a responsiveness of 0.7 seconds.

He says he has heard that the sound is amazing and so I play him a DJ Kentalky’s ‘Headache’ video featuring Yemi Alade and Dammy Krane. He is wowed by both the sound and picture quality of the Phantom 5.

Next, he asks me about the performance of the phone. I am only too glad to share that it comes with a 1.3GHz Octa-core cortex processor and has 3GB of RAM which is great when you want to multitask. I explain how I do a lot of things at the same time while using the phone. User Interface is great, I add. Easy functionality. I show him the already pre-installed apps. Google Chrome, BBM, Whatsapp, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Palmchat, Palmplay, Google Play Store, UC Mini browser, Google Maps, Google Settings, WPS Office, Opera Mini and others.

By now, I am beginning to see that crease on his forehead disappear.

“And battery life?”

“3, 000mAh Lithium Ion battery. Every day I start with a full battery and only have to recharge by evening, and that is when I use it fully.”

He pauses, he’s in thought, he’s contemplating…

“You’re sure this phone is strong? You know my babe can like to throw her phones anyhow.”

I laugh. “Do you know how many times this phone has hit the floor? I can’t even count and I’ve even taken the jacket off because it’s too beautiful to have it covered. Yet do you see any scratch?”

He stares at it. Says nothing for a bit…

And then, “How much is it?”

“Only 69, 900 bucks.”

“OMG! That cheap!

“But after all I’ve told you, isn’t it worth it?”

“It is actually, but…”

By the time I am done, he is left with half a smile on his face. He asks to have another feel of the phone and I pass it to him. He falls in love ─ I guess.

“I can get used to touching this, brother, The capacitive screen is amazing. Are you sure I won’t buy one for myself too?”

I laugh. He won’t let go of the phone even when I tell him I have to rush home.

If you are planning to get a phone this valentine, phantom 5 is the right phone that speaks premium without breaking the bank

I feel Like crying Now. Innjoo Nah Bastard. My Brother Run for Yah Life when you see innjoo Device.

I bought my Innjoo Fire Last Year from Jumia. Am feeling Like a king, Press my Fire all day. Playing Awesome games, You know why?
I got 2gb Ram and 2500mah battery.

After 3months, my phone started developing fault, The minimizing pad didnt work for about 3days. I was scared since i read it on Nairaland that innjoo Office was closed coz they produced substandard phone.
Again After 2weeks, my phone started operating Itself. Yes!
I woke up one morning my Fire has already unlocked itself, Playing an HD movie. I left the batterry on 88%, it was already 41%

The mistake of Life i did was I didnt Return the phone to Jumia to Fix it. My friends Convience me not to coz His friend did that and got back his phone after 3month.

I thought i can just take this to qualify Engineers and fixed this with just about N2500 at maximum. I took my Fire to about 5 engineer, None of them could find the Calibrator.
Someone On Nairaland told me, They got office in Lagos only, I have to go to lagos to fix it.
Am Done!
I wait wait and wait maybe the Calibrator and other spare parts will be available to other state in some time since it was just a Phone lunched 4month ago.

Until Now, I decided to dig up some info about Innjoo. With google I got innjoo Office Number in Lagos. I also visited their Online forum.
Chai, Come and see complain, Even those that are not in Nigeria, 70% of the forum is full of complains.

I called innjoo office this morning and I was told by the agent, It will cost me N6500 to fix it, and also i will have to come to Lagos.

I feel like crying, But as in Man nah. I wont. Am a student, where will i get N6500. Even if I get that, I will rather keep it and contribute to it and later buy Infinix or Gionee.
If Ordinary Calibrator is fixed with N6500, How much will they fix screen. N10,000 i guess sad

For the past 4month. All i do is recieve calls and play music. Nothing more, The phone will keep pressing itself.

Summary of my Write up .
- Dont Buy Innjoo product, Pls go for Infinix and Gionee. They are also cheep.

I know some here also will want to share his/her own ordeal

I dont know, if someone can move it to front page.
My brother I bought one too that ghost touches after a month. All innjoo fire sold here in Nigeria have calibration problems. Their office was sealed because of this useless phone. If you visit their office all people that came there about 90% of them brought fire or fire plus for repair - same touch pad problem

Phones / Re: We Spotted Gionee W909 On Geekbench, Comes With 4GB RAM & More by Orator2383: 8:31pm On Jan 13, 2016
Gionee lacks marketing depth. Don't be surprised if this phone was launched with 4gb RAM and 2gb RAM version is brought to Nigeria. I don't see them competing really well in Nigeria where you have the big players like Tecno and samsung

my hatred for Gionee is because of their quack service center. Is it that they don't have money to equip their service center?. Another thing is the heating problem of their devices.
