I laugh at how some Nigerians gullibly believe a man will become President and then wave some magic wand to get his ways.
The Nigerian Presidency, for the sake of improving Nigeria, is for a strong and well-supported man with loyalist across the entire Nigeria so he will always get the backing to delivers changes and reforms that will be resisted by demonic and powerful enemies of progress literally.
That is never Obi's level Who flees at the appearance of even the slightest challenge and has built nothing and no one that can be his firewall. The funny thing is that previous govts were not able to pay salaries of workers, they were owing them 10,20,30 months, not building infrastructures and so on Their main preoccupation was just embezzling the funds that would have been used for health, education etc's infrastructures. Is this ignorance or what exactly. And which infrastructure is Tinubu doing that others before him didn't do better? Or u want to mention coastal road

Adblg0610: Let me drop a subtle hint. Did you know that there was a period that $1= 65 kobo, at this rate and if the Naira still maintain that strength, it should be equivalent to N45= $65.23+, but today it is $1= N1379.70. Mathematically, that same N45= N95,517. 69. Therefore, it was the N45 of that period I was referring to, not now. Everyone knows when naira was introduced it was higher than dollar and it was babangida structural adjustment programme SAP in 1986 that pushed the dollar above the naira. Even as at then, flight ticket was not N45 So you can't just take the current price of things to 1976 to convert and quote it as the figure Who are u trying to manipulate? Me or you are deliberately deceiving yourself just to defend a failed govt that even you is also suffering the consequences of the failure. As at that time, minimum wage can take u to and fro abroad 70k minimum now can't even get you a passport now talkless of flight or visa money. APC destroyed this country |

Don't think he'll put all his eggs in one basket by closing his import channels though. He will always import crude - that's how business is done. What about Nigeria govt reviving the other 4 refineries to create a competition for dangote or even sell it off at a cheap price with a condition that the buyers must develop it to work or risk losing it. |

I used to have a friend, now deceased, who won a scholarship to go to secondary school. But because his parent couldn’t afford N45 required and refused to borrow, his education ended abruptly. He worked briefly in his father’s small carpentry workshop before his untimely death, due to inability to get prescribed medication for his illness. N45 Which year? Una dey lie sha🤣🤣🤣 |

Politics › How Is Tinubu NELFUND An Achievement? by OredoPikin(op): 5:26pm On Jul 14 |
When I see people celebrating NELFUND or "student loan" by Tinubu, I just dey shake my head in disbelief.
Let's analyze the genesis:
You came in as president and met federal university school fees averaging ₦30k to ₦50k. You came in and increased it to over ₦200k. Hostel, handouts, departmental dues all went up too.
Students started dropping out. Parents started crying. Then you now came and say come and take loan from us to pay.
How is that supposed to be an achievement? Even devil nor cunning reach this level.
You created a problem, then sold us the solution to the problem you created. And it’s not even a solution. It’s debt.
You increased the cost of education so high that poor people cannot afford it. Then you said "don’t worry, borrow money". Money that they must pay back after NYSC. In a country with one of the highest rate of unemployment.
So after 4 to 5years of suffering, graduating with no job, you now start owing FG money. With penalties if you don’t pay. So instead of starting life, you’re starting with debt.
What kind of wickedness is this? No jobs, no power, no hospitals, but we have "student loan" to celebrate.
This is not help. This is entrapment. This is not an achievement. This is wicked policy design.
The goal is simple: Make education so expensive that only children of the rich can afford it outright. The rest of us? Borrow, graduate, suffer, and pay for the next 10 years. |

Bobloco: Direct insult to Christians’ — Vatsa knocks Tinubu’s Muslim-Muslim ticket for 2027
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Niger State, Jonathan Vatsa, has criticised the reported decision to retain Vice President Kashim Shettima as President Bola Tinubu’s running mate for the 2027 presidential election, warning that Christians will not support another Muslim-Muslim ticket.
Vatsa described the move as “a direct insult” to the Christian community, saying it was politically insensitive and could cost the ruling party Christian votes.
In a statement issued in Minna on Saturday, the former Niger State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism said the circumstances that justified the same-faith ticket in 2023 no longer existed.
“I think this is a grievous mistake by the APC. It is highly insensitive,” he said.
According to him, those behind the decision “did not mean well” for the President or the party.
“With the current situation in the country and the concerns over the safety of Christians, nobody expected the President to repeat this arrangement,” Vatsa said.
He argued that the APC would struggle to convince Christians to support its ticket in 2027, especially if other political parties field Christian candidates.
“What do you expect us to tell the Christian community, to vote for another Muslim-Muslim ticket?” he insisted.
Vatsa, who recently urged Niger State Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago to pick a Christian running mate for the 2027 governorship election, said Christians already feel insecure and would be more comfortable with a Christian vice-presidential candidate.
He warned that repeating the Muslim-Muslim ticket could have “grievous consequences” for the APC’s electoral chances.
The APC stalwart, however, clarified that his position was not against Vice President Shettima or the Muslim community.
“I have nothing against the Vice President or the Muslim community. I am speaking for equity, justice and fairness in the political arrangement of the country,” he added..
