Hi cvclinic,
Great insight. I, like most job seekers am not completely ignorant of these tips, only I take them for granted.

I sure have a date with you on twitter tomorrow. 4pm, right?

But then, I'd love you to help review my resume. How do I get that across to you? My resume as it is today isn't getting me as much calls as I hope it would.

Finally, I'm pushed to comment on this thread. The Heavens will not forgive me if I pass by like all is well.
Graduates write/speak this bad? Totally appalling.

Please, while you expect WAEC's call, you would do well to study Brighter Grammar - cover to cover please! And for (say) seven times nonstop.

Don't laugh over this, I can't be more serious.

May your God be with you, and mine with me.

Hey kid, you don't write well, believe me!
You just must work on that!

>> Comprehensible (in the context of your post), not comprehensive.
>> Stand yourself out, no stupid shorthand in the corporate world. Spell out your words, come what may.

Now, to your question, I joined a firm 3 months before call-up, I joggled between place of primary assignment (NYSC) and work all through service year. Two years after NYSC, I am still with the firm.

Guess what? My boss was aware right from interview stage.

Value is the word. How much of it can you add to business? If much enough, most firms will hire you even if you just gained admission into the university, and keep you while you school.

Please, don't curse. I mean well for you.

PoliticsRe: Pictures Of Destroyed Borno Way Road, Ebute-metta by oremisussan:
bloggernaija: Yeah right.
Privilege kid.
Borno what again?
Fashola should waste precious and limited resources on an inconsequential residential road and ignore major commercial roads because you are entitled to it ba.
Better go back to school and retake basic economics.
Scale of preference .
Opportunity cost.

This time around , do not cram it ,simply read it to understand.
If you are not satisfied ,go to your local government chairman
By their composure on the blackberry keypad, we shall know their brain ratings.

That you don't know Borno Way at Ebute Metta is no license to spit trash against cries for its rehabilitation.

This is a road that spans 2km (one-fifth of the Lagos Third Mainland Bridge)

This is a road with 36 offshoots to Murtala Muhammed and Herbert Marculay ways - Bet you don't know those either!

This is a road passing through the hub of building materials sales in the mainland of Lagos.

Guy, what you need (desperately) is not economics, it's someone to hold your hands and take you around Lagos.

Every footpath in Surulere is tarred, which of them are of the much economic importance Borno-way holds?
RomanceLadies, Do You Have The Keys To Your Boyfriend's Apartment? by oremisussan(op):
It's been months since I've been nursing the feelings that I deserve the keys to his apartment. He doesn't look like he's going to give them to me without me asking neither am I sure I'd get them if I ask.

It might do my psyche plenty bad if I ask and he doesn't oblige.

Ladies, do you have your boyfriend's apartment's key?
Did you ever have to ask for it?
Gentlemen (like mine), what's your position on this?
Married, how did you manage situation while dating?
PoliticsSpreading Clothes In Your House Frontage In Lagos State to be punishable by oremisussan(op): 1:28pm On Jul 24, 2013
The Lagos State Government says it will soon begin to seal houses where the occupants spread used clothes on the frontage of the houses facing major highways of the state.

“Apart from defacing the environment, the spread of such wares in front of houses sends the wrong signals to those having initial contact with the state as a place where there is no orderliness and respect for the environment.” - MD, LAWMA

What do you think about this development? Are you guilty of this?

FamilyLeaving 3 Bulbs Off For 12 Hours A Day Saves You Enough For Your Monthly BIS by oremisussan(op):
On the average, every household spends about one percent of its income on electricity. Some of these expenses are understandably inevitable. Boiling water to serve tea in the morning, keeping the refrigerator on while away in the afternoon for food preservation, and laying back to watch the news at 9:00PM, are only a few must-do rituals of every urbanite, and as such cannot be discouraged against in a bid to save energy cost.

However, needless are some seemingly small energy expenditures incurred by city families. Who would have thought that simply switching off one security bulb from 7 in the morning to 7 at night could significantly reduce family spending on electricity?

A security light turned off during the day has a potential to help save N1.25 per hour, N14.94 every day, and N448.20 month-in-month-out. Now, considering that many households have at least three security lights around the home, it can therefore be concluded that savings in the values of N3.74 per hour, N44.82 per day and N1344.60 per month could be made given PHCN’s N12.45/KWh basis.

Considering a household with three (3) security lights of 100W each.

PHCN charge for 1 kWh = N12.45

Total wattage for three (3) bulbs – 100W each = 300W or 0.3kW

If these bulbs are left on for 1 hour, the cost of power consumed = 0.3kW *1h *N12.45 = N3.74

Such bulbs would incur a 24 hour cost of N3.74 * 24 = N89.76 per day

Scaling up to a month period gives N89.76*30 = N2,692.80 per month

Therefore, those bulbs, if switched off for half a day (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) would have helped save half of N2,692.80. That is, N1,346.40.

What can N1344.60 buy? Quite a number of consumables every family pays for a monthly basis – a carton of tissue paper, water bills or one Blackberry Internet Subscription (BIS) for a member of the family.

Freeing up electrical loads at periods when they are not needed is therefore not much of a good to the government than it is to the consumer. It offers a win-win situation for everyone, more so for a country like Nigeria, in making proper distribution plans to avoid “wastage”.

For example, Lagos, today, receives about 900 MW (according to Nigeria System Operator) from the national grid, if an area (say Alapere) gets 60 MW with all security bulbs on at day-time, same area could make do with (say) 52 MW with all security bulbs off at day time. As such, the excess 8 MW could be channeled to casinos whose business depends solely on 2-4-7 electricity.
