Buying a Corolla without installing a tracking device is like going to Sambisa for evangelism.

@ Op, I pray you recover it.

I am not alone. It's the reliability and maintenance am yet to get fully.
As long as you don't go above the 2003 model, you'll be ok. The Xterra is a work horse. I used mine for 4 years and I only carried out the routine service required. The parts are fairly cheap to get. I'll also recommend getting the ones with 'auxilliary' gear.

Car TalkRe: A Tribute To My Infiniti G35x 2007 by oride: 3:52pm On Oct 18, 2018
Pipedream, I really appreciate this thread. Nissan's/Infiniti are actually great cars if you have a good maintenance culture. Same with most marques. I have seen abused Toyotas disgrace their owners. Infact, my Honda City messed me up a few weeks back because a trusted individual couldn't carry periodic maintenance. Today, that car is in great shape.

To each their own, feel free to get whatever tickles your fancy.

I just saw this classic and I'm in love. My wife says I should see a doctor. I would really love to own this.

What do you think. Asking price on jiji is 420k.

TravelArik Airlines's Non Refundable Policy by oride(op): 4:06pm On Oct 09, 2018
Hey Travelanders,

I booked an air ticket for my mother well over four months ago. Flight was cancelled and till date, Arik has REFUSED to refund my money despite my calls and emails.

Please share your experience and indicate willingness to be part of a suit against them. I have met a few people with terrible experience. They have even deactivated their social media accounts.

Most likely the cylinder head warped from the original gasket failure. When you replace, check the head with a metal straight edge to be sure it doesn't have the same problem
You are very correct.

If they wan later sell this car for Nairaland now they ll say ' buy and drive' no issue to fix undecided
I wanted to put it up for sale before but not anymore. I've fallen for it. The engine is quite forgiving and the fuel economy is better than a Corolla by far.

I'm fixing and keeping it.

LESSON FOR DISCUSSION

If your vehicle breaks down on a trip and it's a serious issue, never ever give it to the road side guys. Tow it to a reliable garage.

50 km from Ore Vehicle started overheating again. We managed it to Pre where a mechanic checked and said it was the top cylinder and it had to be ordered from Benin. I had an important meeting early Tuesday morning so I decided to manage the vehicle.

1. Don't drive above 50km.
2. Stop every one hour for the engine to cool down then top with water.

That was the strategy.
