9inches: Mallam buhari, stop insulting Anambra with petty 53million naira. You are in no way trying to better our lives, nor our kids'. We can feed our kids; and they look well fed. Refund us the 43billion naira Anambra state had spent on fg projects. FG have the right to kick start the project in any state they like |

QuietHammer: Spare us this bullshit_ sob story. We have had enough. Was he not paid for his idea of the flag? Was any promise made to keep on paying him? Is the designing of the flag the only thing he has done in life? I don't hear the sob story of the man who composed the national anthem. Give us a break! chinue Achebe books was also sold and he got paid for his work, yet he still an hero and he will always be celebrated. Just grow beyond your myopic reasoning |

I was an Igbo man before Lugard came and that I remain now that he gone back home.

A simple design with mudane colours, when other countries have exotic flags.
Abeg make we hear word jor don't know Wht wrong u guys and ur inferiority complex. Must we compare ourself with other country. The color of a flag is useless without it meaning. |

dainformant: Here's a recent picture of the famous man who designed Nigeria’s flag, Michael Taiwo Akinkunmi, and his children. The icon is still alive but his present living condition is that of a forgotten hero. In October 1959, a year before Nigeria gained independence, He designed the flag and was paid – 100 pounds, equal to $281 in 1959.
Now at his old age, the living legend now lives in one of the poorest areas of Ibadan. His house painted in colours of Nigerian flag is a distinctive feature in the area and it can only be reached by foot.
Source; http://www.nationalhelm.net/2016/12/recent-photo-of-pa-akinkunmi-man-who.html it just a pity how Nigeria treat people like dis. I know Dis man house and am surprise they ave repented it becos the green and white paint is fading. People like Dis should be celebrated. |

Whatever that rocks your boat. am not saying Yoruba's dominant nollywood. Wht am saying is that u shouldn't assert the domination of Igbo's in nollywood. Thank u |

Politics › Re: Chinedu Nebo: Nigeria Is Angry With Igbos' Growth, Development by orimsamsam(m): 9:24am On Dec 06, 2016 |
khSteel: LOL.
I initially classified them as Nollywood films but you in all your wisdom classified them as Yoruba film.
Well, yoruba films are a subset of the larger Nollywood films; however, for most Nollywood films, we all know the cultures that are most prominent among the pack.
I believe you got the intended message. u are getting ur assertion wrong. Yoruba actress and and actors are nollywood actresses and actors. Just that they choose to act in Yoruba instead of English. Wht statistic do u have to affirm that the IGbo tribe is dominant in nollywood. U ave no statistical figure to back it up , u are only guessing |
Politics › Re: Chinedu Nebo: Nigeria Is Angry With Igbos' Growth, Development by orimsamsam(m): 9:07am On Dec 06, 2016 |
khSteel: You just buttressed my point exactly. If a Namibia girl loves a yoruba film and artists - just think of other stuffs you (we) can sell to her and her people.
Africa is a bigger market (than the Nigerian market if FG continue to decide not to be progressive) that we can all go out there and compete favourably without the FG using its negative policies to cut short our growth.
We want Biafra simply to remove the hegemonic FG from limiting our growth success.
BTW, Nollywood has more global reach than your yoruba films yet it doesn't take away the fact that yoruba films have made great impact internationally.
Also, I believe you can debate intelligently with insults. Yoruba films is the same thing with nollywood they are the same thing. |
Politics › Re: Chinedu Nebo: Nigeria Is Angry With Igbos' Growth, Development by orimsamsam(m): 8:43am On Dec 06, 2016 |
khSteel: Once we secure Biafra, we can afford to do without the Nigerian market.
Go to the interiors of Kenya and other African villages, the movies they watch most is Nollywood, they only Nigerian culture they relate to is the Igbo culture.
Guess what, Africa is a far bigger market than Nigeria. And we won't have some shitty overbearing FG suppressing us with useless policies. God only knows were u get ur assertion. Once chatted with a Namibia girl and she texted a Yoruba word to me, I was surprise and I asked her how she came across the word she sed she heard it from a Yoruba movie she watched. This girl even knows a lot of yoruba actor and actress than me living in nigeria. Pls leave ur enclavement and stop believing all the fallacy u heard from uncle chinedu during bed time story |

Is this the insecurity that is being checked? why are u always emotional about everything. Wht this victim mentality all about. There are illegal check point in the east so also we have them here in the west. I school in akure and whenever am traveling from Ibadan to akure I always come across nothing less than 11 illegal police checkpoint, and our driver is always force to part away with his money at each checkpoint.
