Paul Baran, one of the pioneers of packet-switched networking, the basis for the internet, has died in his home in California aged 84.

Baran devised the concept at the RAND Corporation. The idea of dispersing data around a mesh-like topology, that required the client node to reassemble it, was considered a violation of common sense (and physics) at the time, and was to be regarded a marginal and eccentric pursuit for the next 25 years. But Baran was able to justify it to the military, arguing that a dispersed and decentralised network would continue to function after centralised networks had failed.

The subject isn't the whole story but it was the excuse the group of Muslims had for cutting of the man's ear. I'm asking this question because the punishment was not carried out by a Sharia Court but by a group of 12 Muslims in the private room of a police officer that was a Muslim as well. Sharia Law as we know is already in place in several Northern States, so does the Sharia Law stipulate that you cut off a man's ear for adultery? Can the adulterer be sentenced and resulting punishment carried out on him by any group of Muslims? Since it was not rape, should the female also not have are ear cut off? If the Sharia court was the appropriate court to pronounce punishment for adultery and the likes, while did this group of Muslims inflict such an awful act on a fellow man.

I'm asking because Sharia is in Nigeria and I wonder what fate awaits non-Muslims residing in the Sharia regions because the motive of the attack on this 45 year old non-Muslim was because he had rejected converting to Islam and the lady with whom the lawless animals claimed he had had sexual intercourse with denied repeatedly that she had any thing with the man.

I'd appreciate that ANY ONE (MUSLIMS & NON-MUSLIMS) should not result to insult on this thread please. I simply need an explanation as to why those men did what they did without the involvement of a Sharia Court and why the Sharia court in Egypt would drop the case since the man who's ear got cut off dropped charges - Why? They threatened to kidnap his female children. Have lived in Egypt for a while and they do this things to non-Muslim girls a lot so don't even try disputing that.

Its the basic reason a man should not be preoccupied with how she'd be on bed and his eyes, his ears, nose and skin to get sensitive to the slightest thing. You should know before hand if you are negotiating for a refurbished or "tear rubber". If refurbished, its no crime to know how many owners dealt with it before now. Ask a refurbished in straight face and you just gave her the driver's seat. G-d help you you come out of it alive.

@Poster: Would depend within the context of things. i.e Hook up with a girl who's only looking to get laid that night, she'll throw her self to you knowing fully well the next morning you two are going your separate ways. Sometimes never to come across each other again. However, if you want a relationship with a girl matured enough for a relationship, her not wanting to kiss you on the first date or few ones after isn't pretending, is called self restraint. Trust me, we guys do that even more on the first few dates though we know deep inside theirs no place in our future for that girl.

And, for someone who's being around for a while with ladies, trust me, the best kiss you can ever get is not one you asked for.
