gbanikiti:Its funny because the Jewish people have said he could always run to Israel once he's eventually ousted out of power. |
Embattled Libyan president Mu’ammar Gaddafi is secretly a Jew as Gaddafi’s grandmother apparently was a Jew of Libyan descent who had converted to Islam when she married a Muslim. According to Israeli law, even though al-Gaddafi’s grandmother converted to Islam when she married, she remains Jewish, Besides wondering how many more prominent Arab figures are Jewish, I wonder if Gaddafi had always known his grand-mother was Jewish. The guy was so mad with the Jewish state that he went to war with Egypt in 1977 for signing peace treaty with Israel. http://www.thegiftedhands.com/2011/03/muammar-gaddafi-is-secretly-a-jew/ |
A Nigerian immigrant stole the identities of 350 people to claim £1.3million in bogus tax credits in the largest benefit scam of its kind. Olaide Taiwo, 35, hijacked the identities while working as a security guard for a number of large national companies. He then used the names to claim tens of thousands in working tax credits. This week he was jailed for eight and a half years – the highest ever sentence for tax credit fraud. Taiwo is understood to have arrived illegally in Britain in 2003 with his wife. Although three applications to stay in the UK failed, in 2005 he was granted discretionary leave to remain. It was during this period that his scam began. The father-of-two submitted more than 300 fraudulent tax credit claims between June 2004 and July 2008 worth over £1million. http://thegiftedhands.com/2011/03/nigerian-steals-350-ids-to-claim-1-3m-benefits-in-uk/ |
For me it was in JSS3 that I realized that my old man was way flat beyond broke. As a matter of fact, he'd been broke for close to 4 years but my mum played a role that I'd forever salute her for. Not once ever did I ever heard them argue over money even when unknown to we kids had been footing the bills for years. I know because that was the year I got my first job fetching sand from the Ilaje river in Bariga. We were at what you'd call "breaking point". I took ma cross since JSS 3 and boy oh boy, its been a j ne y. All in all, God has been faithful. |

Yes boss! |
@misanho: I'm not certain what aspect you mean but I think if its about decency, I made my stance clear with iv4real. @iv4real: The type of ladies i hang out with gives me an understanding that dating someone does not start only when you are already sleeping with the person or guarantees a chance of doing so. Which I'm certain you are already aware of.Odd as it may, there are loads and lots of decent people around us and many a girl would rather show you the highway than oppose to handling their virtue to you all in the name of "showing love" or "trying not to lose him". I stated in my last post that a girl @ 25 with 3 sexual partners is as good as a virgin, while you stated that you've met some with only 1 yet say I'm inexperienced about it. How ironic my friend. Almost every 1 who's a "stricker" & "top scorer" would have met girls that had given up their hymen to the gullibility of teenage love, some like US would walk away so as not to wreck more havoc, some don't just *** care. Then again, that's just the way it is; Reality sucks! |
You are right on point. Men often desire an experienced virgin for a wife and that's pathetic, but this is not a same case scenario. 3 sexual partners for a girl that's 25, she's as good as a virgin. Personally, i think the probability of getting a virgin to marry is the same as playing lottery, 1 to 1,000,000 (i think) and I don't play lotto. I live in the real world. As per the "don't put out" issue, you don't have to blame us o. For a girl's that has been around, with lets say 10 guys by age 25, it will be next to impossible to convince her new man that it's during his "tenure in office" that she wants to enact the new law of celibacy. next thing on an average 9ja guy's mind is: eh eh. Na me be mugu abi That's just the way it is. Reality sucks |
iice:@iice: Even if i were under the influence of cocaine, I'd never include the incidence of her molestation. To force a grown up woman against her will even if you were married to her, to me, is a crime worth a prison sentence, nonetheless abusing a child sexually. Also, i do not think it was as a result of the abuse that she got pregnant. @Mrs.Chima The thread was meant in no way to insult 9ja ladies. I quoted a "source" and stated in my reply to Harakiki that it was just the number of men she had so far been romantically linked to. @iv4real: The type of ladies i hang out with gives me an understanding that dating someone does not start only when you are already sleeping with the person or guarantees a chance of doing so. Which I'm certain you are already aware of. Folks are getting it all wrong because of our perception of dating in 9ja. Theirs a huge difference between hooking-up and dating. Hooking up has got nothing to do with emotions, but dating does. If Oprah had been hooking up with the married man, she would not have got on her kneels to beg him to leave his wife for her. She wanted, at that time, to share her future with him. Now, why would the simple question: How many men would have average 9ja babe would have dated and allowed entry by the age of 25 trigger such fury ![]() was expecting something like; Maybe 5 but 2 were allowed entry. or maybe 15 & 15 were allowed entry. simple like rice & plantain I know there are lots of 'Woman' right activist on NL, and its not like any demeaning post would make me flinch, but I read something online and was only curious to know. ![]() |
@Harakiri: I wont be surprised if I'm called that ooo, have seen people resort to insults when a post questions their pride. As per the Oprah issue, well, she must have had some one night stands, or maybe not, but the list are about men she was involved with romantically. Including an affair she had with a married man. All said, i was simply asking for guys opinion anyways. Just like you said, ladies, especially ones with long lists, would avoid the question like a plaque. |
Oprah Winfrey has only dated 8 men in her life and she's been with her current man since 1986. I would call it 9 men because she was pregnant at 15 and gave birth to a boy who died weeks later. Note that the count started from her High School sweetheart. My question: Whats the percentage of men an Nigerian babe would have dated and allowed entry by the age of 25. Source: http://www.wikimantic.com/wiki/Oprah_Winfrey |
We've just started a wiki (wikimantic.com) and need folks knowledgeable with Wikipedia's editing syntax amongst other things. Wikimantic is basically a gossip wiki; a collaborative effort to build the single largest celebrity romantic open book. Each celebrity having a single page detailing past relationships, hook ups and cheating scandals etc as well as present relationship status. |
& i wud assume you hardly get terribly bored |
A friend just started a wiki, http://www.wikimantic.com, to create the largest celebrities romantic history. "We all know celebrities dating rumors and break ups spark interest." He told me; "Now imagine having a wiki editable by everyone to list in chronological order relationships of individual celebrities, from high school sweethearts to cheating scandals, hot hook ups etc of celebrities from all over the world" I as well think its a great idea, but then, I'm his closest pal and since the above brief is just a minute aspect of what he hopes to accomplish with the website, I'm putting it out to esteem Nairalanders. So, would you spend as little as 5 minutes reading the romantic history of your favorite celebrities ![]() |
@ Sweetnecta: ", but i just cant stand it when i read an out right lie and not at least register my disagreement, " Off course you can. But then again, would you run into a church to correct a pastor preaching to the congregation all because you overheard from the speakers those things you perceive to be outright lie? What would become of a person that runs into a mosque during a friday prayer day, distributing flyers telling every Muslim therein that what they are doing is idol worship? Because you have vegetables in your diet does not give you a right to go to a forum dedicated to vegetarians, telling them how tasteful red meat is. It doesn't just work that way. The primary purpose of a boundary is to draw a line at some point. Boundaries are applicable to everyone in every area of life. Just like i told my good NL colleague @LagosShia; Topics like one that started this thread, posted in a board not meant for Muslims is a direct insult to Christianity and time and time as proven over time that the only kind of scars such things leave behind is more bitterness and eventual strike back. Unfortunately, Christians are able to stomach your insults but most Muslims seem not to have that gene in them. I do not mean for that as a personal insult to you but for the things that I have heard, seen and read about. As regards Dr. Mark. I was in no way complaining but pointing two things out to you. One, told you I was not the one who brought up the issue of Dr. Mark, since i do not know who the man is. 2, Telling you how glad I was that a Muslim agrees Google is dependable as a research tool. |
Nairaland no doubt again in 2010, retains the title of the most popular and visited Nigerian owned website and is referenced very many times on Wikipedia. Yet, Nairaland has got no page of its own on the free encyclopedia. Its no joke!!! http://thegiftedhands.com : A Wiki Detailing People Behind The Scene |
@LagosShia: I'm not here to argue about religion. I strongly belief though, that by their deeds, we shall know them. You know what you belief in, and i know in whom I belief in. You have deliberately ignore my core question for the third time. From you name, I can deduce you're certainly a Nigerian and the last time i checked our mother tongue is no where close to Arabic. But my dear friend, I lived almost a year and half once in an Islamic country where their core language is Arabic, the very language the Quran is written in. With that experience, i find it rib cracking when I meet any Muslim who did "Wolimo" yet still has to wait on the interpretation of each line in the Quran. Its was like when we recited french in primary school. we could sing a whole song in french and yet have no understanding of what each line meant. Does that makes me French? Just so you know, Arab Muslims who have a prefect understanding of the Quran will never argue with a Christian. They are too wise and know its to their own detriment. Their deep hatred for Israel and United States though, they will never hide. Its this deep hatred they have for the Western world that makes most of them, who have no understanding of Islam, willingly to blow themselves up. @Sweetnecta: Are you sure that post is meant to have my name? I re-read my posts and did not mention Dr. Mark at anytime. Its good though that you, a Muslim is admitting using Google as a research tool to gather information about a Christian. Funny because Muslims deny the authenticity of controversial materials on Google when the subject case of such research is Islam. Also, "when a speaker speaks lies against you" you stated, "it is your right to hate the lies". So, do I not have as much right as you do to call what you say about my religion a lie? "If Jesus is your God, we simply as muslims tell you to look in your Bible that he said he has a God. That God of Jesus must be higher than Jesus." then you go further to state "Christians do not do the same for muslims. They twist Islam to fit their own agenda." Still the same thing you are saying. FOLLOW EVERYTHING A MUSLIM TELLS YOU LIKE A ZOMBIE. & then go on to list people you've met that have converted to Islam. Do i not know Muslims that have converted to Christianity. You can tell me to look in my books, but should I tell you to look in your books, you threaten my life. You are telling another to remove a poke from their eyes, when you have one sticking out of yours. How more ridiculous can it get. Or aint you the same Sweetnecta: with posts on the thread: Christian women sentenced to death for insulting Islam?. Are you telling me that when its a muslim that point out things in the Bible, its legitimate but when a Christian points out things in the Quran, its blasphemy and such Christian ought to die? What common sense lies in such ideology? If a Christian should start pulling a sword, as you guys do each time a muslim points out erroneously from the Bible, do you think there will be one day light of peace. I stated before that I think it would be best for Muslims to post in the Islam for Muslims board and Christians to do likewise, but you two seem to not want to say anything about that. Is there any fun in digging through a board of whose faith you do not belief in for the sole purpose of heating things up? |
@LagosShia: Its too early to say you've got no time for point of views and an error, mistakenly or deliberately, is a far cry from what I'd written. , it is the christians we feel who insult Jesus by making him a god and a divine son among other things.on the other than Christians insult islam and its Prophet. We both know threads like this will never stop peeping their ugly faces both online & offline. What i feel is not right, is for a Muslim to post in a Christian section or otherwise for the primary purpose of promoting myopic opinions drawn from baseless conclusions that usually ignites harsh and derogatory comments. It's been nice exchanging ideas though. Good luck in life. |
@LagosShia: I'm not questioning if the guy who started this thread was wrong in doing so or otherwise. I still maintain though, he ought to have posted it in the Islam for Muslim Board. That line i was hoping you'll comment on. You guys quote passages from the Bible and interpret them as you deem fit. Now, IS WHAT IS GOOD FOR THE GOOSE NOT GOOD FOR THE GANDER? A critique must expect criticism in return. Now quote me wrong if you can. In this year alone, has there ever been a time when Christians have issued a threat, attacked or killed a Muslim all because such Muslim expresses an opinion on Christianity. Even Seun Osawa, the guy who claims openly to neither be a Christian or a Muslim was threatened by a Nigerian Muslim that a "Fatwa" would be issued on him should he allow Christians (forgetting that not every one that isn't a Muslim is a Christian) keeps discussing controversial Islamic related threads. My point is; Muslims are quick to tell us that the Bible is littered with lies and peddle insults at Christ and the interpretation of an Holy Book. Yet, they are quick to take offense when people that are not of Islamic faith express their interpretation of the Quran and history. If a Muslim calls Christ a liar, why can't I as well go ahead and called Muhammad a worshiper of the Moon. Not everyone of us though, believes in killing fire with fire. Let the likes of Ahmad Deedat keep interpreting my faith as they deem it fit to their understanding, I won't even blush. However, are they also willing to stomach my interpretation and opinion of the Quran and Islam WITHOUT THREATS AND ATTACKS ![]() Why do the likes of Ahmad Deedat even need to consult to Bible in the first place? Oh! that it's a book filled with lies? I learnt in business school that you can never win a client by soiling the good name of a competitor, but by showing all you have to offer. Ahmad and likes reference from the Bible, but let one Christian do such and Muslims will protest bitterly and even do much worse. In October, armed Muslims entered a Church in Iraq killing innocent armless people including kids. You should have seen a clip of the news coverage, the list is endless and their reason, because someone somewhere made a statement about Muhammad and the religion of Islam, yet there are people like Ahmad, which you seem to have high regards for, who continue to express what they think about Christianity. So again i ask you my dear friend: IS WHAT IS GOOD FOR THE GOOSE NOT GOOD FOR THE GANDER? We all know you can't eat your cake and have it. I maintain, as I did in my first post, that I'm not here to express what i think of the content of these thread but think that the fellow who started the thread should have posted it in the Islam for Muslim board. Period!!! Let Muslims post in the Islamic for Muslims board and let Christians post in the board allocated them. Their are over 4,000 threads in the Islam for Muslim board and that should take a handful time to read, reply and follow. With the thousands of threads in both the Christians board and Islam for Muslim board, people that are not of either faith should stick to appropriate boards. What sanity lies in digging through the Islamic for Muslim board by someone like me that is a Christian if I do not already have the intent of attacking anyone expressing an opinion contrary to mine. |
@LagosShia & @Sweetnecta Friends, though our beliefs may differ, yet i think we could still all come to a common ground. While I understand you telling me to tell it to my folks, I want you to understand that I'd never had joined in this discussion, were it posted in the Islam for Muslim Child board section. "Islam for Muslims A forum for Muslims to share their faith. Muslims only please, even the moderators are Muslims. Moderator: Jarus" Believe you me, after reading both your replies, i did try scanning through the religious section (not that many pages though) and I could find one heading with "Any Muslims Who Converted To Christainity?" and how people were giving their reasons for converting to Christianity and read replies by Muslims including that of yours "Sweetnecta". NL has done what was supposed to make the whole thing simple and that is by creating a unique child board for ", Muslims to share their faith, " and leaving Christians to post on the same board with free thinkers and Satanists(you should here what a free thinker has to say about religion to start with). Maybe if NL could only make provision for separate other Child Boards for Christians and others, we wouldn't all keep stepping on each others toes. Also, maybe the gentle man ought to have posted the "Conversion, " thread in the Islam for Muslims child board and not on a floor where many Christians abound. Just maybe no Christians would have read it and none of the insulting words exchanged on this thread would never have had a reason to come to be. Clearly, he must have known such a post will ignite a fire within many Christians not mainly for the title but because of how he structured the content. People who live in a glass house should not throw stones. It might as well have been an unintentional error on his part again. Likewise, should a Christian post things on the Child Board made available to them (& hopefully Seun does something and create a separate Child board for we Christians) no one of Muslim faith would peddle into the Child Board and in that way would not get offended by anything shared on the board. A dirt the eye does not see, the mind does not reason upon. Friends, certainly you know these but I'd like to remind you that it's an impossible task to think people will not always have a thing to say about us, our character and our being. Wikileaks revealing the US diplomatic cables painted US diplomacy as tinted, but in the real world, every institution has an opinion of others. Can one sincerely say the Chinese or Russia have not discussed or painted many US officers with much more cruel words within themselves? If they are as plain as snow with the United States, why was a Russian female spy caught recently in the USA. Or why does China keeps trying to hack into the US security system using private companies, ? How does this relay with the thread you may ask: Christians will always have an opinion just as would Muslims and a free thinker and satanist would, and expressing ourselves is something humans can't do without. However, like someone pointed out in another thread, this is where Civil Decorum should be applied. Let Christians post on a board allocated them without the interference of people of other religions and beliefs and vice versa. How can we change the world as a whole, when we can't take it up from a compact community like NL. Compact I say, because dis is a 9ja's forum. |
Back in 2008, Seun Osewa wrote why anyone who posted anything about Islam could get banned. What I'd like to understand is the primary purpose of the story " Conversion Of Pastor Jonnathan Into Islam". How would you guys have reacted if a christian had written this piece with the title " Conversion of Sheik Hammed to Christianity" and went on to quote verses from the Quran. Because we all belief in what we believe in, pointing out "alleged" errors in other peoples sacred scripts would only draw fire-backs. Why not spend more time in reading a sacred book you belief rather than wasting your precious time on what you don't belief in only for the purpose of drawing out "alleged" flaws. Remember, gone are the days when the Quran was written plainly in Arabic. I'm a Christian and don't even have enough time in my hands to read the Bible as much as i would love to and i wont even spend the little time i have going through the Quran all because I want to come to NL and make gist of the religion of Islam with my fellow Christian brothers. It's not just worth the sweat. History has proved time and time again that you can never win people over using such a strategy. Posting about what you've read in the Quran and how applicable it is to everyday life may convince people to want to know more about Islam and probably convert to the religion of Islam but not in this way. |
" Seyi, if you shout, falsely on top of your voice "FIRE", inside crowded London Palladium and a single soul is lost, you will be charged for murder. Same situation is guaranteed under US law. There is something called civil decorum. its an appropriate behavior expected when logical mind is being responsible in a setting. If you see a crowd of English people, and the Queen is talking to them and you walk up to her and start raining abuse on the old woman, you will see how civil white brits are; they will all change to skinheads in front of you. You will be fortunate if you tell the story inside the plane heading to Lagos, Nigeria." "Never have I insulted Yahweh, God, except the idol yahweh of jews similar to their golden calf and of the christian father who is not independent. " @Sweetnecta: You are very correct about 'something' called "Civil Decorum". Here is my question though: IS WHAT IS GOOD FOR THE GOOSE NOT GOOD FOR THE GANDER? This I have asked because in your last statement you stated ", except the idol yahweh of jews similar to their golden calf and of the christian father who is not independent." What you call an idol to another might be the only true God that such person acknowledges. Here you are expressing your opinion of the Jewish God and to a Jewish, that may as well be offensive. This is exactly what the woman whose case started this thread has done. Expressing an opinion. Now, are we not all at fault. Humans are structured to have opinions, just as we do the five senses of the human body. Civil decorum applies that you don't pass out 'gas' when your in an elevator, that you don't throw the napkin down on the dinner table and tell your host to his/her face that you've tasted the worst meal ever. That same civil decorum, applies that no matter how much low you think of another person's God, keep it to yourself because what goes around comes around. During the ages of "land conquest" winner of the battle between two kingdoms, many terrible things happened. The greatest empires from that time did things not worth remembering. Roman, British, Mongol, Qing Empire, China, Umayyad Caliphate, Ottoman, Fatimid, Qajar , the list is endless. It was their business and they handled it in the best way they knew how to. We are in our own time and things and time have changed. That's why the United States did not dare appoint a governor to rule over Iraq when Saddam was captured. Remember Britain appointed a Governor over Nigeria even until as recently as 1960. For the issue of insulting a religion to stop, civil decorum in expression of opinion should be applied by everyone in the matters of religion. |
Girl-y trait #6: Girls the mathematicians. Oh! its now you want to know criteria abi? In your face!!! More so, the masculine ego running through my veins refuse to settle for "some credit". Its all or nothing and "nothing" is unacceptable. I miss the good old days when people were much more compassionate and wud not let iron toothed giants (ME) devour harmless helpless babies (Google). Where's your heart girl. U really sure u still want me to sue Google and run them bankrupt. I mean, like ow much is google earning to foot lawyer bills and all that against A WHOLE ME. Pls have a change of heart. plzzzzzzzz |
But trust that the guy's friends will smoke him hot. Not necessarily for doing the awful thing of cheating on his woman, but because he didn't let them in on his adulterous adventure. If he had, trust guys, every one of the ten would have said the same thing: that he slept at a particular friend's place. Not the same thing now getting the dude in trouble ![]() |
@Creamish: Actually, u should know you're in my face. (jokingly implied ooo before i get crucified) The injustice you've done is with the line "your assumptions" Ma'am , unless stated otherwise by a guy, what you call an assumption or rather my assumption is a result of years of research in the Nairaland community amongst us guys. As-per the translations. Beg me, else I'm suing Google. Now you would no't want me to do that to poor Google would you? |
The truth is not always bitter, I guess. |
yeah, back @ u |
LoL, haba madam!? "Isn't wrong this time " like what started the thread was. U really are something you know, |
Uhm, another girl-y trait. one minute you are asking, I come out straight being the gentle guy that I am, and the next minute you're acting like you knew right from the outset. Now, what say u!!! |
