Travel › Re: Is This A True Reflection Of Ado-Ekiti Roads, Ekiti State? by Orofun1: 6:45am On Apr 18, 2018 |
Hmnnnn, I have gone through the whole thread and I read every single comment and first I will like to answer Autoreport's question, yes the bridge is in Ado Ekiti, and that is the picture at night, I still travel along the same road last night around 8pm and believe me it was beautiful, the traffic lights were all working and motorists were all obeying the traffic lights. Now as to the necessity of such a project in Ado Ekiti I can tell you this that it is needed...like a user said, flyovers are meant to decongest traffic at certain junctions that are notorious for gridlocks and this particular area qualifies for one, the essence of such a project might not be seen today but in the future all travelers along that road will come to realise the importance. As to the cost of the project, me I don't know, but I know government make money from capital projects. May I also point out that I am not an indigene of Ekiti but business transactions take me to that state on a weekly basis and believe me I did see transformation in the level of infrastructural development in the state. I was around when Gov. Fasoye came around the first time when he opened up so many roads just like Gov. Agagu did in Ondo state. Most of the road project started by Gov. Fayose were abandoned after he left office, a vivid example is the Iworoko Ifaki dual carriage way. On the issue of salaries, I will score him low, but let's ask ourselves what is the revenue base of Ekiti State compared with her neighboring state Ondo? Ondo State with 13% oil derivation money monthly as an oil producing state is owing the tertiary institutions staff tons of salary arrears especially Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo. Ekiti is lucky to have a Governor that is building roads but not paying salaries regularly whereas Ondo state is unlucky to have a Governor that is not even paying salaries at all and not constructing roads either. Abeg I tire for Nigeria....my warning to Ekiti people, don't make the same mistake Ondo people made in 2017......PS, I am not a politician neither am I a card carrying member of any political party but I always look at issues objectively , that is what makes me a successful professional. I say the truth always not minding whose ox is gored |

Your visa appointment is 8th October by 10:40am, you are meant to be at the embassy about an hour before your appointment. Attached is the pre-application, which you need to print out and take along, also:
Your international Passport

Waec + degree certificate and transcript which should be certified by ministry of Education
Bank statement with a minimum of 2.5million
The acceptance letter the University will give to you closer to that date
Visa fee is $250
Insurance to cover a period of 16th September 2018 – 27th November 2019......that was from my cousin.meanwhile the school resumes September, how can we overcome this since the interview date is well after the resumption date, the deposit has been paid already |

My admission is valid for one year, I am not sure whether you can defer for 4 years, I only know from experience that you can usually defer for 1 year. But you can ask USM, the admission counsellors are always very helpful Kranjar: @Orofun1 Hi, I also got Msc admission for one year at USM to start in 2018, after which I will immediately start a PhD program. The issue I am faced with now is that I intend to defer the admission to 2022 because I also plan to work for about 4 years to save enough money for both programs. Please were you given a maximum amount of years that your admission can be deferred? I am in the process of cancelling my VAL and request that my admission be deferred hopefully for 4 years. I just don't want to go through the whole process of reapplying for admission. |

I am sure your school will issue you a document known as "to whom it may concern" which can be tendered in lieu of a certificate. Ask your school for that and you can then go ahead to process your application with that. Best of luck... macromyk: Hi guys, good day. Please I need advise on an issue bothering me. I just finished from a tertiary institution here in Nigeria, and my aunt wants me to immediately go study for my masters in Malaysia. She is based there, however she says my certificate and transcript must be ready and would be taken to ministry of foreign affairs for it to be sfamped before we proceed .. the issue now is that I asked some of my course mates and also staffs in my school on when our certificate would be ready, they all said 2years above.. my question now is , without the certificate is there any hope of studying in Malay or what else can be used in place of certificate? |

I understand but then there are no charges but I will confirm that after making my payment. If visa is refused, the money will be transfered back to the originating account in Nigeria Chinlov: good way to go. But I'm sure it will be charged and also how about if you are refused visa... Saw online that you can actually apply for a bond, pay in your €7000 living expenses and have the money transferred into your bank account when you arrive in Ireland, I guess this is a good one since you won't be burdened with the task of explaining how you got the money in your account. So you only submit the receipt of the bond as prove of living expenses with your visa application. Just thought I should inform the would be Ireland visa applicants..... |

For those going to Dublin, accommodation is expensive in the city so your best bet is to stay in Carlow and commute daily. But if you can afford the expensive accommodation in Dublin then, why not. Just a word of advice |

Minimum deposit is €6000 ... The offer letter says €12500 but on the payment page you are allowed to pay the minimum of 6k Heimdall: Please did they state in your offer letter how much you are to pay? I know the fee for MSc GIS is 12,500 euros, I'm trying to find out if they allow part payment or you are required to pay in full.
Thanks |

That's a good one, I m planning to do exactly d same thing, my salary is 155k monthly, I am a lecturer in a government polytechnic. I did my MSC in UK some 5 years ago and I am travelling for a 2 weeks holiday. Hope my salary is sufficient although I will have about 700k in my account before submitting my application. Kunle2030: Hello everyone.i have been following this thread for a long time tho I never posted.i will like to give back to this wonderful forum cos reading through the pages helped me.So I recently applied for a standard visitor visa and it was granted.i have been travelling to the UK in the last 18 years.i started out with a 6 months visa, then got a 2 years visitor visa twice and went on to 5 years visa.my 5 years visa recently expired so i decided to apply for a 10 year visa which was very expensive but I thought it's worth it if u can afford it and u get it. Here is my timeline: Submitted at tls ikeja Feb 7, Transferred to ukvi Feb 8, Decision made email Feb 16 Collection email Feb 16.
One thing I learnt from my experience is that it is important to keep your application simple and honest.it is also important to have a very good travel history and don't abuse your visa.i have never stayed more than 3 weeks on holiday all thru my 5 years visa.3 weeks was the highest i ever stayed..there were many times I stayed 10 days and sometimes 3 days.
When I submitted I didn't have any payslips cos my company didn't give payslips so what I did was I had to get a letter from my office to introduce me and to state how long my annual leave will be for and also to state my salary.by the way my salary was about 105k naira not a lot really and it was never regurlaly paid.i submitted my personal bank statement with a balance of about 750k and also my salary account with zero balance just showing my salary deposits even though they were not regularly paid. I didn't have any property so i didn't submit any evidence of one.i submitted letter of invitation, sponsors British passport biodata page and a proof of address from sponsor in form of an electric bill. Those were all I submitted.infact when i remember when I went to submit at tls ikeja I felt intimidated cos there were people with loads of documents and i didnt have much to submit but alas,my 10 years standard visitor visa was granted.pls keep it simple,be honest and don't abuse the terms of your visa and try to make short trips..thanks justwise and ektokpe and all the contributors thanks for your selfless service. |
