The University of Law is a highly trusted sponsor in the UK so there is no issue with the post study visa
solaj40:
I am not quite sure you would be able to benefit from the post study visa if you the University of Law sponsors your visa. They are know mainly for professional qualification and only recently started issuing degree certificate. You should do your own due diligence before taking this route

You can live in Chelmsford and school in London, you can also try Stratford or Westham for accommodation

Someone shared this with me some days ago. I hope it helps

Chelmsford and Hertfordshire are close to London, can't however tell how close and the possibility of shuttling between there and London

Never heard of landing charges before for travellers
Fuckeveryday2:
Thanks boss, I kept saying the same thing but her agent has been deceiving her, he told her that because it's her first visa on the fresh passport she has to use it.
All these agents are just scam..I think he's making use of her vulnerability. He even told her today she has to play 150k landing fees alongside 370k flight ticket..Na watin start our fight today..Why is she playing Landing fees when no be she get airline huh Or is dat how it's done huh

I'm still a novice too but I've been on Nairaland Travel Section for too long to b stupid na cry

TravelRe: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by Orofun1: 11:08am On Mar 23, 2021
UK processing is faster and you get a work permit, USA takes a longer time 12-18 months and it comes with a green card.... requirements for registration differs by country but if u want the fastest way out, get your IELTS requirement for UK plus other requirements and when u re in the UK you can plan your next move.
Kenblisskay:
Me too oo i want to japa but dont know if USA or UK which ll b best.
TravelRe: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by Orofun1: 11:04am On Mar 23, 2021
You need a current registration licence to be able to apply for job in any of the aforementioned countries and besides you need minimum 1 year working experience before you can JAPA

Please friends I want to ask, I will be graduating soon BSN in the Philippines. They don't allow us to take their board exam, and I am looking for another way. So I am asking if its possible that when I write Nclex here, I could find a job in either Canada or US without experience or licence from home country or just look for a country to do my masters. Your suggestions will be much appreciated. Thank you

Good morning all, and thanks to you for all the good works you are doing here....I have a question though, I have my MSc from the UK in 2013 in Spatial Planning but I want to go back for an MBA or International Business Management in September; will there be a question about studying for a second MSc at the Embassy? I have like 3 offer letters from different schools already and I have the money for the new course.....@justwise

Check the university of law with tuition fee of 9000 and 10 months monthly installment payment allowed

Actually, University of Hull is the cheapest. It is 9000 pounds for postgraduate courses.

VISA ALERT!!!!!!!!

mehn it wasn't easy but God came through for me!

I joined this thread September 2020 after i got rejected of a canada student visa, my plan was to go for masters in Uk September 2021 but as God will have it, canada refunded my fees earlier than i thought and admission came through with UK, all through to paying school fees through form A, to proof of funds, to CAS, mehn it was just God ( don't let anyone tell you it's easy) lol i even had delay in collection of my Visa..

Got my CAS- 19th January 2021
Filled in my application- 20th January 2021
Biometrics- 21st January 2021
Collection- 8th February 2021 (12 days after biometrics)
Priority, VI centre

Everything came through for me despite all odds, I wasn't even expecting it, as at the 9th day after biometrics when I wasn't getting any feedback as regards my application, i had to put a call through to UKVI where i was told decision hasn't been taken yet on my application (omo i wanted to ment lol) . She said she will escalate it.
So this morning i decided to put another call through, and i was told a decision had been taken, funny part to it when i collected my passport, it was stamped 26th January (3rd day after biometrics).
I want to thank everyone, those still expecting, your goodnews will come, i also want to thank Victor, dude actually encouraged me through the waiting stage.. God bless

Can you give me a link to your blog pls, I m planning to visit Tanzania in November
Seslie:
Hi

Your total budget will depend on many factors, e.g time of travel, time of flight booking, etc

Currently if you look up the price for a return ticket to Dar es Salaam, it is about 300k. A budget 3-day safari starts from about $500. PS: if you travel with people, it will be cheaper. Most places charge a single supplement.

So altogether, you may be looking at a budget of 600k+-. If you go with a group, it may reduce.

Tanzania is a beautiful country for game drives and beaches. If you have some time, you should combine your trip with a visit to Zanzibar. During my visit in 2016, I did 6 days of game drives in Serengeti, Tarangire, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro and 6 more days in Zanzibar. 3-4 days in Zanzibar is enough though, especially if you're an active traveller and not a honeymooner smiley. Stay in Paje, Nungwi or Jambiani. Do a day in Stone Town too. You can check out the Tanzania tag on my blog for what I did. It might help with trip planning.

Lastly, Tanzania is no longer visa on arrival. So be sure to get your visa before you travel.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by Orofun1: 5:57am On Aug 06, 2020
Your school will issue you a new cas showing the last date of entry which in your case is 16th Oct. So you have no problem with UK immigration because a copy of the updated cas will be sent to them as well. I was in that same situation once
HerMoney:
I've received tremendous help and clarification here. I wanna say thank you guys. Nairalanders are the best.

Now that I'm clearer on the process, I'm still a bit concerned that I won't be able to make it in time for my welcome week, which is Sep 21 and start of lectures, which is Sep 28.

My school, Sussex University stated on their website that due to the current crisis and the unforeseen delays, they will allow students resume as late as October 16, 2020 and before that time, offer online classes.

My question now is, will UK immigration allow students entry into the country even after our start date has passed? For US, I know they refuse visas when you are applying past your start date and don't like to see students travel after this date. Is it the same for UK?

I should meet up with this Oct 16th date. I've emailed the school also with this question but while I await...

Anyone??

Let me share my own experience some years back, I was an MSc student somewhere in the east of England, we have a group assignment and I think we were about 5 students in d group, 4 international students and 1 home student. I was suppose to collate and compile the reports from students and submit but unfortunately for me instead of submitting the final and edited copy I printed and submitted the draft copy. The result was put on hold and we were all summoned by the university, I told them what happened and they told us that we are lucky we didn't study for our first degree in the UK otherwise the punishment would have been more severe, we were asked to resubmit and the scorewas pegged at 40. That affected my grade seriously. My advice to you is take the zero score, get your certificate and apply for another MSc with your bsc although the new school will definitely ask for the certificate from the current school, attend the academic training as suggested by the school ( you will not pay for it). That you have an offer from another school now does not mean they will not ask you for the current result because you must show academic progression before they can sponsor you for tier 4 visa. A pass in MSc is not the end of life, I have seen people with pass going on to complete their PhDs. I wish you all the best and to get a post study visa another MSc is the answer. Nigeria is not smiling for now so whatever you can do legit to stay back pls do

hello my people, please i need you help cause my head is about to explode pleaseee. I have few questions

1. I came to the uk on student visa last year sept and course due date is Sept this year (m.sc) but was accused for academic misconduct and my mark was marked 0 for a research topic (one my modules)and compulsory training must be done, please have anybody had this befor and what does compulsory training mean? does it mean I have to repeat a year?

2. my plan was to do a second masters so I can qualify for psw, since I have not yet gotten my final results can I switch to a new school as I hav gotten offer? or do I request for a pgc instead and move to a new school? am here with my dependant kid as well.

3. please can someone explain to me how to go about my 2nd masters application and the entire process please. I have an offer for Sept start and January start but my visa expires January 18th. which is the best time to apply?

please help!!!

Let me share my own experience some years back
EducationRe: Do You Like The Course You Studied In University Or Polytechnic? by Orofun1: 5:53pm On Mar 31, 2020
I once applied for a course in the polytechnic but my people won't hear of it so I had to drop that idea and try for a university choosing a different course altogether, but ironically I didn't get admission in my desired course , I applied for change of course and ended up studying the course I initially applied for in the polytechnic, I enjoyed my time in Great Ife, it was a wonderful experience, at the beginning of the 5 years journey I was still looking to change course but I later settled down to the course, on top the course I had my MSc in d UK and currently on my PhD in Malaysia....so yes initially I didn't enjoy the course but I grew to love it and still loving it
