But the first 3 originally qualified did not come forward, you as the elec comm would have called other nominees outside the top 3 to come up. Did you do that. Dou you feel that those who got 1 or 2 nominations are not Igbo people?.
Second, why are you in a hurry to conclude the elections now that we are still in october. If some of the nominated members come back here next week and find out about this, do you think they will be happy?.
PoliticsRe: Eze Ndi Igbo Election 2012 - And the winner is ... by orufe: 11:25pm On Oct 23, 2012
9ja_I_hail: This is going to be the most transparent election ever. This manual system give every candidate opportunity to verify if he/she had been rigged out.
Why is the voting only for two contestants contrary to what the elec commissioner stated in his pening remark?.
PoliticsRe: Eze Ndi Igbo Election 2012 - And the winner is ... by orufe: 11:22pm On Oct 23, 2012
PointB: Keep Voting.

Please be reminded that the vote is a clear choice between

OnlyTruth and Odumchi

and

PoliceWoman and Ogugua

Please make your vote count, don't waste it!

Once your vote is cast, it is record and tallied by eagle eyed electoral team. Editing it is at your own risk.
Why is the contest between only two candidates.

Sisi_Kill: Raising hand timidly

Excuse me! Hi. . . Please don't anybody vex oh. I have been following this thread from the beginning. . .no wait, scratch that, I have been following this entire process since last year and I have one question. . .again, let nobody vex oh, I wouldn't ask if this was on a private forum but seeing as it is on a public forum and anyone can read, then I assume it is okay to ask questions when one is confused.

So here goes. . .

Please what is the Role of the Eze of Nairaland?!

This might sound like a silly question with a simple answer, after all what else can the role of a leader be if it isn't to lead through words and action, to smooth the rough roads for the people who have chosen him as their leader, foster an atmosphere of peace and harmony for his people. A leader should be dedicated to the cause of his people and selfless in the meeting the goals and know when to keep his ego in check etc. . .simple answer right but honestly after reading 54 pages of this thread, it seems to me that the qualities the organizers of this election are using to define A LEADER is a little on the offside.

You guys are defining a leader by his ability to to argue unnecessarily and the intensity of his HATE for others. He can't be a leader if he every word in every post he makes does not reek of pure unadulterated disgust for others. He can't be a leader if he shows an amiable attitude towards people you think he should hate. He can't be a leader if he does not think there is only one way to do things, he can be a leader if he is not extreme....almost borderline militant in his views of the world.

Now if this is me misunderstanding the whole thing by thinking this was an exercise in PROGRESSIVENESS and not RETROGRESSION, please accept my apology for butting in, ignore this post and carry on with your thing. If on the off chance that I am not misunderstanding. . .then I gotta say, you guys need to go back to the drawing board because you seem to have missed a step somewhere.
See page one of this thread.

Why is it only two people contesting for Eze Ndigbo instead of four people as you clearly stated initially.

Afam is a member of the electoral board and can not be nominated.
you are allowed to nominate 2 persons not 1 and it must not be members of the electoral process.

Okija_juju: [b]Can you imagine the autocracy..

And this is who is supposed to be the electoral commissioner of a free and fair election..

You made a mockery of the entire process.. All I did was to highlight the flaws in your system to the entire public. Since you decided to militate against me by being biased, I have also decided to keep showing you up to the general public as being biased..

And please stop talking about building bridges. You are more of a divider than I am. So what if in a discussion I took the opposite side?! Does that make me any less Igbo than you?! I have told you my losses from that Biafran War that you seem to hold so dearly. My family lost lives, houses and even suffered health problems because of our loss, what did your family lose?! angry

How dare you judge me for thinking differently?!

You sir, are not fit to sit in judgement over any matter as you lack the capacity to put personal grudges aside and be objective..

I am the minority, but being minority dosent make us any less Igbo..

Don't be offended. You may not agree with Ojukwu's handling of the war, but must not insult him. Repent.

No madam, no issues here but just the truth from what I read any time I visit this part of nairaland. Have you at anytime told non Igbo commenters about their flaws or conjectures. Don't be silly eadiot. If you must express your views must you do it by insulting people who have not done anything wrong with you. Can't you be sensible for once. If a nairalander does what you don't like, you only have to take it to that poster instead of saying people of Imo and Abia are very confused people.

You are missing the point. There are threads about dialects and people can learn each others dialect there. If Chinenye wants to teach his dialect, he should feel free to do that. In a thread such as this one, it is not only people from his village are reading and posting here. His attitude is rude.
CultureRe: Disrespect Of The Red Cap And Igbo Traditions:i Blame Your Parents!! by orufe: 6:09pm On Aug 02, 2012
ChinenyeN: Until you decide to come down on Anambra folk for the ife fa ncha in general Igbo threads, I have no reason to take you seriously.
What you write is never thought in any school in Igboland. Even in your village, no one teaches the nonsense you vomit on regular basis. Anambra chaps write what they are thought in schools in their villages.
If you want to teach people about your dialects and how to write it, you are welcomed but in another thread.
Do not turn this thread to Anambra vs your village because of your stupidity, just respect people who are not from your village, but if you must write in your village style, it should be in another thread.
CultureRe: Disrespect Of The Red Cap And Igbo Traditions:i Blame Your Parents!! by orufe: 6:00pm On Aug 02, 2012
ChinenyeN: But it is okay for Anambra people to come writing their ife fa ncha? lol again, Orufe you're not serious.
I wonder the size of brains you have, dou fart in your classroom or workplace because another person does that also.
For Christ sake, start up a thread about your village and dialects. On that thread, you may teach people about the uniqueness of your village and dialect. Please behave like someone who was fed with mother's breastmilk rather than urine.

Dude, take it from me, this your attitude is sickening. If you write Igbo there will be no complaims. There is a thread where people came together and wrote in their dialects. That is in another thread. You enjoy writing in your dialect that is good, but show some respect to Igbo people here who are not from the same village as you.
Why is it difficult for a stubborn girl like you to start a thread about your village and inviting your village nairalanders to join you.
Dude, once gain, stop this nonsense and show respect to others. Enough is enough.

About the above, why not start a thread that will bring your kins together and also write the way you do. Do you not think it is an insult for you to be doing this in a thread meant for Igbo people. Ika, Ukwuani, Mbaise etc have threads where they write in their local dialects. You hardly see them coming to general Igbo threads to do this sort of silly silly things you are doing. CultureRe: Delta Igbo, Bendel Igbo: What Does That Even Mean. by orufe: 10:28pm On Jul 26, 2012
bright007: ouch!ouch!how it hurts to find d truth.
I will try as much as possible to address your ignorance on specific things u don't know as an igbo.
(1)The "Obi"or "Eze" title as used in igboland today was not part of d igbo culture nor can it be traced back in history before d british came.
When d British could not find å man of authority who they would use in their indirect rule system in igboland, they decided to create å"man of authority"by appointing certain individuals (such as those who assisted d british in their of d towns and villages and in some cases, messengers and carriers to british invading forces)in d society as "kings".these appointees were given government paper of authority "warrant" and made to preside over the affairs of their communities and were known as "warrant chiefs".These "warrant chiefs" in later years metamorphosed into Eze and Obi.If one looks closely, one would find dat some of the so-called Obi,Eze and red-capped chiefs in igboland today are progeny of warrant chiefs appointed by the British in their years of exploitation of Nigeria.
So if Ika decides to use Obi as å title for her King, its mere influence during d British era and not because Ika are Igbos.copy that?

(2)I see that you don't know more than your fingers as per the history of where u claim.
Let me give u å brief history.
In 1844, the CMS mission led by Revd Samuel Ajayi Crowther and Rwvd Townsend arrived Abeokuta to begin missionary work. While Crowther settled in Ake,Townsend settled at Igbekun where each of then built å mission house,å church and å school.(Fanfuwa 1975).
In 1858,Samuel Crowther moved to the eastern part of Nigeria and settled in Onitsha where he built å school for girls as d boys in d area according to him were not interested in school but instead, according to him "like to move about in plantations with bows and bamboos pointed arrows in their hands to hunt for birds, lizards, rats all day long without success but now and then, half å dozen or more would rush into d school and proudly gaze at d alphabet board and with an air of disdain mimic d names of d letters as pronounced by d schoolmasters and repeated by d girls as if it were å thing only fit for female"
Lesson:When u don't know something,LEARN instead of arguing like an He-Goat on å spell.
You bore me anytime I come to this thread. Since one year now, you have not added anything new, either repeating what you wrote earlier or going about what even kids in primary school knows already. Why not quit the thread as you are not capable of bring any thing interesting. Do you not feel ashamed. What you have been arguing here for 1 year now is what Ogbuefi did within weeks. This is the first time am witnessing an ikaman without shame. Ugly really.
