Immediate past Executive Assistant to the governor of Delta State on Communications, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has been honoured for his vast communication skills, as he bagged yet another prestigious Award.

Most Nigerians and mobile phone users all over the globe usually lock their phones , thereby making it difficult for anyone to have access to information in them, particularly their account details. But a suspected telephone hacker who was arrested by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Ladipo, Lagos, has revgraduatehat such measure does not prevent him and his likes from gaining access into any bank account if they laid their hands on such phones.

Surprisingly, the 31-year-old suspect, Dare Oladimeji, iks a Senior Secondary School Certificate holder. In this interview with Crime Guard, Oladimeji, a footballer, who just returned from Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, having concluded his two years contract with ALAIN FC, said hacking into bank accounts through phones , had nothing to do with being a graduate.

Some suspected members of his gang as gathered, had earlier been arrested and charged to court. He was tracked to Idi-Oro area of Lagos, during investigation into the withdrawal of N200,000 from a victim’s account . Asked if he had any connivance with bank staff, he shook his head, stating rather , that he got the necessary details from Google Chrome.

He boasted that money could be withdrawn from account through stolen sim card, no matter the code used to prevent one from accessing the phone. Hear him: “I work on sim cards to get money. When I lay my hands on any sim card, I would slot it into any small phone that is not android. When that is done, I would press a code which brings out the list of banks the owner of the sim uses. “For example, if the person is using GTB, I will proceed with the normal code of *37*100#. If the person has money , we would use it to buy recharge card to confirm how much the owner has, through the debit alert that would pop in to reveal the balance.

Thereafter, we would transfer the money into donors accounts, from where we would withdraw the money”. Asked what happens if phone is locked, he said, “ Locking of phones with password does not stop me from hacking into any account, as long as I can lay my hands on the sim card. All I need to do is to remove the sim and slot it into a small phone.

“The only thing that can prevent me from hacking into account through phone is when the SIM card itself is locked. But most people don’t lock their sim cards, they only lock their phones. You can only beat my likes to the game if you lock your sim card because only the owner knows the password”. He stated that he resorted to doing such illicit deal after he lost the money he brought from Dubai. According to him, “ When I came back from Dubai in 2016, I brought N7 million , out of which I gave one Mr Shola N5 million for a genuine business with NUPENG. Unfortunately, the man died . We pick SIM cards “ I decided to venture into this business which is a small version of yahoo yahoo because I didn’t want to go into robbery. At Idi-Oro, there are pick pockets . When they snatch phones from victims, they would throw the sim cards away. What I do is to go looking for these sim cards and continue from there. “Nobody taught me the skill. I learnt it from google chrome. This is just common sense. But I regret my action because I have brought shame to my children”, said the father of three. The suspect as gathered, would be charged to court soon.

It is a widely-known fact that traditional pianos require a lot of care. In fact, many would even say that these types of pianos are very high-maintenance, which is one of the reasons why they look for other options, such as a digital piano. Does that mean, then, that digital pianos do not require any maintenance at all? Of course not.
Digital pianos, too, need to be cared for, especially if you hope and expect to get a lot of years out of them. Here, let us give you a few tips on maintaining your digital piano.

1. CHOOSE THE LOCATION OF YOUR PIANO
Treat your digital piano like any other piece of precious furniture; in fact, treat it like you would a traditional, or even a grand, piano. A digital piano is also prone to damage due to certain elements, such as heat, water, or even humidity. Therefore, choose the location or part of the house or room for the piano.

DO NOT place the digital piano in an area where it will be exposed to direct sunlight, water, or moisture.
DO NOT put the digital piano directly in an area where you expect a lot of foot traffic. You don’t want people to keep bumping into it or hitting against it, even if it’s just the corners.

DO NOT place the piano close to electronic appliances and devices that emit heat, such as a heater, computer, and stoves, to name a few.
DO place the piano at least 4 meters away from the heat sources mentioned above.

2. USE ONLY APPROPRIATE CLEANING METHODS
Digital pianos need to be cleaned a certain way. Even the best digital pianos are not completely immune to damage; many have been ruined or became faulty for the simple reason that the owners did not clean them properly.
DO NOT use water or wet cloth to clean or wipe the digital piano. Instead, use a clean, dry cloth.
DO check the instructions manual or the manufacturer’s notes for specific and acceptable cleaning methods, just to be on the safe side.
DO wash your hands and wipe them dry before playing the piano, especially if you’ve just finished having a snack or doing household chores. You don’t want grease or dirt from your hands to dirty the keys. The dirt will also affect the way your fingers will interact with the keys while playing.

3. OBSERVE PROPER PLUGGING
Many accidents have happened due to faulty electrical outlets or improper plugging, so it’s a given that you, too, should observe the proper way of using the plugs with respect to your digital piano.

DO NOT overload an outlet by plugging your digital piano alongside your desktop computer, microwave oven, or other electrical appliances. Sharing an outlet can interfere with the quality of sound and the overall performance of the piano. Overloading can also lead to circuits shorting out, fire, and physical injuries, not to mention major damage to your digital piano.

DO NOT let cords and cables lie around haphazardly. Make sure they are out of the way, so no one will accidentally trip over them.
DO make sure that the outlet you are using is in good working order. Check the surge suppressor or the outlet strip and replace them if you find problems. DO unplug the digital piano when not in use, but make sure you turn it off first before pulling the plug.

1. Monkeypox is a 'zoonotic' virus. That means it comes from animals. It can be transmitted from animals to humans and from humans to humans.

2. It was first discovered in crab eating Monkeys in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1958 by a scientist called Preben von Magnus.
3. Monkeypox was first discovered in humans in 1970.
4. Even though it’s called ‘Monkeypox’, most animals bear the virus.
Squirrels, rats, antelopes and some other rodents you can think of, are vectors of Monkeypox. Best to stay off ‘bush meat’ while you still can.
5. You get Monkeypox from an animal bite or from contact with an infected animal. Fluids and droppings from infected animals aren’t to be touched.
Secretions from dead animals are highly contagious as well. Fluids from infected persons are also contagious.
