Below is an excerpt from a previous report referring to this recruitment & training ( Sept. 23, 2014)
"........Saleh also said FAAN is worried about the
development and would in the next couple
of months, commence the recruitment of
qualified personnel into the department.
According to him, FAAN requires at least
1, 500 personnel in the fire and safety
department. He said the shortage of
personnel in fire fighting and safety is
affecting operations at some airports .
He said the Murtala Muhammed
International Airport ( MMIA ) , which is
rated a category 9 airport by ICAO ,
requires a minimum of 160 fire fighting
personnel, lamenting that what is on
ground is far below the recommendation of
the global aviation sector regulator.
Saleh said : “Inadequate fire fighting
personnel is a big challenge for us . We are
tackling the problem. We are trying to
recruit more people into the fire and safety
department.
“We are also trying to bring back some of
our retirees to improve the department
because even if we recruit today , the
people will be trained to meet up with the
expected standards . ”
Some experts in the industry have
canvassed the setting up of a training
centre for fire fighting personnel .
Technical Adviser to the managing director
of FAAN, Mr John Ezenwankwo said
Nigeria should establish a training facility
for fire fighters and stop going to
Cameroon for training , describing it as an
embarrassment to Nigeria . He said the
country should establish a rig and
simulator , adding that each of the fire
tenders must have at least five firefighters
on duty at every shift .
He said no aerodrome operator shall
permit a person to act and no person
should act as an aircraft fire fighter at an
aerodrome unless such person has within
the previous 12 months , successfully
completed the training specified in this
section".....

based on this report, we are all getting our appointment letters. No doubt about that

Its for real, once you log in, I advise answer the disqualification questions before you proceed
Age,experience, grade.

If you are between (27-32 ) you qualify anything above or below don't bother

Mind you, your data is stored once disqualified so don't bother trying to re apply with another user name

Guy relax jere!!! It wont...The truth is, faan needs more competent hands in the advertised department. The relevant here should be, how many candidate are they planing to recruit for the advertised positions

I read online where The MD of FAAN said the agency is "grossly understaffed in the fire department", had just 600 staffs in that department as against 1500 that it should have in all airports in nigeria. So judging from that u can coin out an estimate of how many they might need. Mind u, he specifically mentioned "fire department".

same here,expected their interview text late last WK but avnt rcvd a msg frm FAAN.waiting patiently n preparing @ d same tym.

you were supposed to get the text the early hours of the next day which is the interview day.
