babamadiba:Yeeeh!!!That was cruel |
bosmanmusty:With due respect sir,if you consider the quality of performance these people u mentioned put into office save Awo and Zik,Mandela and Reagan you wouldn't want to associate the people's General with any of them |
I belong to Akoka!!!! |
I have heard of this madman. He visits R.C.C.G parishes on invitation of the parish pastor to play his practical joke on members |
The man no dey rest oooh. From Faith Tabernacle,Ogun State to Lagos |
Even the guy @egghead who fabricated the lies on twitter has apologized and retracted his statement. You might want to check his twitter handle. My dad was in church. Just a simple prayer became the object of so much controversy. The Bishop didn't say so.Omojuwa blew everything out of proportion barking like a dog when the thief is safely away with his booty. This saga would have simply been avoided if the presence of government officials are only announced in church just for the sake of protocol and nothing but that. |
Please I need someone to verify this story.Right now it is trending on Twitter.GEJ purportedly visited Winners today.I attended the first service and I didn't see him.I am sure he came for the second service.According to eyewitness the Bishop threatened to open the gates of hell if GMB is elected or something like that. The likes of Omojuwa are blowing hot.Does anyone here attend Winners.Did he attend the second service ...Pls verify. Thanks |

Phiozy:He/she can work anywhere even in the bank. The only disadvantage of not going to law school is that you have no right of audience in court i.e you can not represent a client but you can draft contracts and do other law-related stuff |
@OP I agree with your first, and second point.I can gladly say so with authority because I study law.I must say categorically that seven years might not seem like eternity if you are bound to come out of law school before 25.(I will be done with law school before 24.The noble profession is age-rewarding and respect for seniors at the bar can never be underemphasized. But the truth is rookies are sometimes sneered at and intimidated. The prayer of a new-wig is never to meet a SAN or any oldie in his first litigation case for the latter can make a fool of him, like asking him "_what year he left law school'" during court proceeding in the presence of his client. However I must state categorically that it is rare(almost impossible) to find a practicing lawyer unemployed.(Even if he graduates with a third class). This is because Degrees can never justify your knowledge of the law in court.SOME MAY BE UNDEREMPLOYED BUT WE ARE NEVER UNEMPLOYED.If you assign a case to a two-room law firm, the minimum amount you are charged with is 200K.Besides have you heard of law firms like Banwo and Ighodalo,Consolex,Wale Babalakin,Templars. My friend who interned in Banwo during the semester break was sent to Turkey.Whoever put the idea into you that lawyers are at the world's extreme corner? Concerning risk factor,_there are many mouthwatering areas of law that fetch fat pay e.g Oil and Gas,Law of Taxation,Company Law,Commercial Law etc. Try visit Akintola Deloitte one of these days. You don't have to go to court to practice these branches of law.In where I intern my boss says in his year of practice he has never gone to court. No time to shout. And they make bloody dough there. For instance my law firm once had to draft a contract once 6 Million Dollars(I hope you know what that means) Many a lawyer nowadays do not go to court. All men were equal until God created lawyers(Abeg na joke I dey ooooh) |
After Ambode wins,he shouldn't serve Street-Sellers the same dose of medicine Fashola did Okada-riders.(after using them to campaign) |
I hope the errant soldier doesn't get detained by some overzealous superior even without the President's knowledge. It was just a mistake |
GEJ was right in his assertion. This generation of leaders have failed this country and the principle of collective responsibility should apply when it to comes to apportioning blame. Fashola has done well but it is impossible for his administration to impact all Lagosians.Even my guardian tells me his generation has failed this country. When he was in Unilag, food was free and two students were entitled to a whole chicken everyday but now as I dey here;if you dare think of free food in 'Lag or any other public uni,u no go believe your eye when u go start to wash plate. All because of that swine OBJ and Colonel Ahmadu Alli(Rtd) who subsidized education |
zendy:Guy,he personally lead in the war front. |
adaybayor:Very true,my friend. He could have etched his name on the gold tablet of martyrs;becoming a legend and bestowed upon,a god-complex. The Ojukwu that should have died in 1970 is greater and more honorable than the man who died decades later. |
adaybayor:... |
Resquicet in pacem |
He will rot in hell |
slinkman:Abi oooh |
Is that Tonto Dike's mum. Thought she said her mum was half caste and late |
3kay945:is that the screen of your phone?!!! |
Proff;you lectured in my faculty,Unilag. You were my dean of Law. You still come once in a while. You are a legend in the faculty. Pls take my advice: Leave your comfort zone and campaign elsewhere save Lagos and the South-West. The political tentacles of Asiwaju protects you in the South-West. Buhari, d:you think you are riding high on popular support. To campaign dey hard you. I pity you. Valentine day shall not be bloody ooooh. Happy Sunday Nairalanders. |
GEJ too dey go church for my liking |
Seun:God make me into an Excellency too. I promise to tithe every damn percent of my allowance and salary |
micronut:My broda,I tire oooh |
The trend is worrisome... My parents say "You must not marry from so and so tribe." The names of tribes on their "embargo-list" is so long I think I might end up not marrying a Nigerian. Love should lead, anyway. |
Interesting |
You are like a serpent About to shed its skin You are my jungle Deprived of its menace Old wine and a wasteland See the sun has fled in midday! Lie bravely on your bed,O day I know, what the morrow brings Is arrayed in a haze I breathe a deep sigh of memories Fireworks must toll your deathknell In the city of a feverish race They will shout with triumph Till voices ascend heavenwards In a babel "They cannot wait to seal another chapter in the book of days. " It is but the space of an hour When she shall be borne into The graveyard of ages Amidst the wailing of joyful mourners Their wish is to drench the sky with colours And make new decrees for life Oh yes-And dance I lay down my past, six-feet too Behold a new beginning |
Lagos isn't the only place he should campaign oooh. He has barely six weeks to sell himself. In fact,is Buhari really serious about winning this election. No campaign advert on TV. He shouldn't underestimate the power of incumbency... I have said my piece |
Read up on President Jonathan's pilgrimage on www.napoleonblog415. |
Behind every great fortune, there is a greater crime. But Oprah's wealth is legit. |
It says in the book of Psalm Chapter 105 verse 15: Touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm. This writer hereby calls on all those who wouldn't keep an open mind,to desist from reading this article. It must be stressed that the writer is a practicing and a devout christian, possessed by the one crying in the wilderness, weighed down by the burden to appraise a phenomenon. Thank you. Once upon a season, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, having succeeded his late boss came to worship with christian faithfuls at the campground of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (R.C.C.G) .This was prior to the 2011 general elections which was drawing nigh. Such a move was viewed by political pundits as calculated by the President to target the eligible voters of that church which is the largest pentecostal church in Nigeria. He would later return to the R.C.C.G campground at their Holy Ghost Congress in 2012 to thank the mammoth electorate from that church after his victory at the polls and tell the believers he hadn't made up his mind to contest the 2015 general elections. He sank to his knees before the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, who prayed for the nation and the administration of the President. The Holy Ghost congress have, over the years, been attended by political gladiators like the fourth republic's first president,Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. OBJ fled there when Pastor Bakare prophesied that coup plotters were going to commit him to Mother Earth before his inauguration in May 29,1999. This year, that same church hosted our meek and pious President at a branch in Lagos Island. The General Overseer was in attendance, coming from its international headquarters at Ebutte Metta. The President was shepherded by his gentlemen-at-arms,bristling with weaponry that could have sufficiently held every member in attendance hostage. His soldiers;armed to the teeth, crowned their sophistication with no-nonsence looks that made one wonder if these boys weren't due for Sambisa Forest;if they didn't belong to our Spartan Military which had often tasted humility in the hands of the Boko Haram insurgents. It is an open truth that politics have been incorporated with the institution of religion. Churches have many of its members as public office holders;some of whom constitute its spinal cord in tithing and otherwise. And spiritual leaders of the country hurry aboard their private jets enroute Abuja once the President sneezes. It should be recalled that the late President, Umaru Musa Yar'Adua before his illness brought him to the bier, had some of our men of God visit him;to purportedly make intercession over his ailing health. The Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church aka Winners Chapel in debunking allegations that he was at the President's beck and call, stated in an interview with the Punch's newspaper; that it would be wrong on his part as a loyal citizen of Nigeria to disregard the President when the latter invites him to Aso Rock. Even if the bishop wouldn't heed the august call from Aso Rock, I daresay that the President is so fond and cannot be counselled out of the habit of dashing from one church to another, irrespective of denomination and delivering politically crafted speeches. He was at the Abuja Branch of The Living Faith Church. Worshippers at the Adoration Ground in Oke,Anambra State weren't impressed when the APGA gubernatorial flagbearer,Willie Obiano, the party's chairman;Victor Umeh and the state governor,Peter Obi visited to woo them prior to the Anambra gubernatorial elections. Death would later reap thirty five unripe souls in that camp as they were trampled upon by agents of politicians. It is in Nigeria that the religion of a political aspirant guages his level of acceptability by the masses. The electorate have been hoodwinked by our gangster-politicians;desirous of stoking the flame of religious sentimentality,so that they would vote for no other person save the one who practices their religion. To this effect, the President is free to practice his religion beyond the walls of the chapel at Aso Rock, and trasverse the nation as a "political pilgrim." Whomever is worthy, let him be called the President's daddy-in-the-Lord. The alleged romance of the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the ruling party comes to mind, with the main opposition party describing CAN as a political wing of the ruling party. It should be noted that politicians have for so long seduced the church of God for the cause of political patronage. Prayer camps across Nigeria have seen the attendance of looters of our commonwealth, election riggers, and economic and social slave-drivers. They are entitled to freedom of thought, conscience and religion as guaranteed under section 38 of the 1999 constitution. But they shouldn't be allowed to mount the podium and give speeches laced with;as a writer aptly described it,"hypocritical sermonization and political campaigning" save the official protocols of recognition. It is at the expense of the church becoming partisan. And agitators mustn't hold their peace. Now the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God has to exercise the shrewdest of diplomacy in making his choice. The APC presidential aspirant has picked his running mate,Yemi Osinbajo,a professor of law,a Senior Advocate of Nigeria,a former Attorney General of Lagos State and a Pastor in R.C.C.G,and one begins to wonder who the General Overseer would vote. Would the good pastor forsake the ties of kinship between him and Pastor Osinbanjo in order not to offend the President who is like a spiritual son to him. It must be noted that the official twitter account of the R.C.C.G celebrated the selection its own with Adeboye's charismatic call: Let Somebody Shout Hallelujah! " Whoever favoured Osinbajo as running mate has made the APC formidable enough to give the PDP a good run for its money. It is an ingenious political calculation. As the euphoria dies down, the General Overseer should conceive the best way to approach the almighty in supplications. If only these politicians had been educated that the house of God isn't Eagle Square. The President might call;requesting for prayers for victory at the polls. He might even ask his daddy-in-the-Lord where his loyalty lies. There is a saying that there are no permanent friends in politics, only permanent interests. If Osinbajo's interest ought to be protected, let the redeemed of the Lord shout a resounding Hallelujah. |
