Need Help!!!

Car: Honda Accord 2004 2.4L i4
Problem noticed: Car drives well on a free road. After getting stuck in traffic for some mins, hard shifting is noticed (having to get to RPM to shift to the next gear). Then there is a kickback when downshifting (taking the leg off throttle). Once I park by the road side, engine off and back on, it resets. Until the next traffic.
This mostly happens after a long drive

CEL is off
Car scanned: Codes- P0685, P0780, P1734 (PCM/ECM power relay circuit control malfunction, problem in shift control system and shift solenoid valves B and C stuck on respectively)


What's the possible solution to this?

how were you able to resolve yours?

My ride is 2006 honda accord v6, that I have been using for 6yrs.
My driving experience are similar to yours, my transmission began slipping last week. I have drained the Atf and poured fresh 6litres of dw1 atf, still the problem persists. So I have decided to change the transmission entirely with a tokunboh one.

Yes from the scan it looks like your transmission is still in good order.

But your brain box might be the issue here. Try to switch another one into your vehicle and go on a test drive before concluding on payment for it.

I scanned and got two codes which you can see below, I also decided to drain the ATF and pour 5 litres of honda Dw1 into my transmission.

I will bring feedbacks as we progress, because it was done today

Since you’ve had a slow leak for sometime on your gearbox then I’d assume you’ve been topping up the fluid with something, if you ran it low or you didn’t use the recommended type then it’s too bad.

From what I’ve understood from your symptoms it’s apparent that your transmission is slipping and if you do not have it overhauled asap it will give up on you sooner than later.

Try to get a scan of your gearbox system to know what’s up. That your D light isn’t blinking doesn’t mean there isn’t a stored temporary code in its system for you to see.

update today, I did a scan and below are the codes, I don't think it has any relationship with my A/T

What i observed in my v6 2006 honda accord aka DC

1. It does a hard shift when the transmission is changing from gear 1 to 2 (like a foward jerk)

2. If the car is stationary at park and I put it in drive, I need to pedal down abit for it to start moving

3. My transmission oil leaks below, this has been going on for months

4. Yesterday I noticed that when the engine is decelerating and I step on the pedal to speed up, my rpm would go high without the car responding so, I have to slow down completely and start accelerating again

5. I have no check engine light on, neither is my D light blinking

What could be the issue?

Update:
I did a scan and it pulled 2 codes, there were no DTC stored other that this below
1. 61-1 Modulator control unit initial IG low voltage
2. 83-13 PCM/ECM Relation Failure

Now, I drained my ATF and poured in 5 litres of Honda Genuine DW1 ATF, yet the problems from 1 to 5 above still persist, help me please,

Do a diagnostic scan with a scan tool and find out any trouble code in your transmission. This would be your first guide

I feel you pain and sympathise with you. Now where you stated you wished you were deaf and dumb, is where I did say "hold it there Mr man" no matter how bad you feel don't wish to be something else but rather love yourself the way you are and seek resources like YouTube.com that will enable you improve on your speech which inturn would raise your self esteem. Last year, I created the above thread, how my younger brother set 70k on fire, some people did not believe me. But Thank God that 3 nairalanders saw the video evidence when they PM me and I hope they come across this thread so they could testify. I also want to thank everyone for the great and helpful advice.

Although, ever since then, he has been maintaining his lane, he barely talks to me, he greets my dad like he's being forced to greet. And am not happy with his lifestyle, he's my only brother and I need advice pls.

My brother is into yahoo yahoo, he comes home late at night (12 or 1am), sometimes he won't return home till the next day, he keeps wayward friends, he drinks alcohol, he smokes and do drugs {I haven't caught him red-handed smoking, but I'm not a child, his eyes are always red and dim}

My brother is a 2'1 graduate in Economics dept. From uniben. He's refused to get a job... Okay let assume there is no job in Nigeria, my dad's friend offered him a job in Lagos he refuse to go, learn a skill or trade he refused... Okay further your education {probably masters or professional courses} he refused.

We're neither rich nor poor, just an average family. My dad make sure we don't lack basic amenities. There is a roof over our head, he sent us to school, there's always food at home, he advice us despite he's not educated but as a traditional man he's full of wisdom.

Am concerned about my brother because of the high rate of ritual killings and yahoo plus whatever.... Am scared and worried, I don't want my brother to be involved in such crime.

Right now as am typing, my brother is not at home, I don't even know my brother's whereabouts. If one ask me where is your brother? I can't vague of his whereabouts but he returns home very late, sometimes till the next day.

take him to a rehab facility let them do a test on him and find out the drugs he abuses in his system. Then immediately put him on rehab for 3 to 6 months, then monitor his progress from there on wards

I apologize for the long read and typos.

I met my girlfriend last year and everything has been moving fine. She was someone I intend to marry regardless of our issues. She is very loving and caring.

On my own part, I just finished my masters and I've not been able to get a good job. I used my savings to get a car and my friend gave me free accommodation in Abuja and I started uber. I'm a struggling guy but I come from a wealthy home, my father passed on recently and I control most things but I just remit them to my mum and I stopped her from giving me anything because I don't get satisfaction spending my parents money.

My girlfriend is young but she dreams of getting married early, I understand but I needed her to be industrious. I started a business for her in October which she tries a lot and she's making baby steps. I also give her stipends every month.

Our sex life is cool and I've tried using condom but she always frowned at it, so I resulted in calculating her free period, it was going well until a day she refused to tell me her cycle after we had sex. I got pissed and confronted her that I'm not ready for her to be pregnant, she said she won't and she's also not ready for it.

I came back from Abuja briefly in December and I was with her, I asked her for the cycle and she shifted the date and I miscalculated, long story short, as at yesterday she is 6weeks pregnant.

She told me the result, I asked her what should we do, she said she'll keep it but I'll have to do traditional marriage. Hmm, sincerely I did not want the child at this time. I told her I can be a father but I am not ready to be a husband, trouble erupted; she told her mum and her sister they called me I stood my ground that I'm not financially capable of setting up a family. She called my elder sister, I also did not bulge but however my sister noticed that she was building her judgment of me on my family wealth. I told my sister, I will only set up a family with only my acquired wealth and as it stands I'm only an uber driver.

I confronted my babe yesterday and it was evident that she wanted and planned for the pregnancy, she was happy. I was livid I told her that since she planned it, she should handle it that I just owe her money for the baby and delivery if she decides to keep it, and that my marriage plan will be put on hold, because I'll have to spend my savings. I was saving to do traditional marriage then travel out if things don't change. A child was the last thing on my list.

My girlfriend has blocked me everywhere and I suspect that her family are of the opinion that it's either I do traditional marriage or she removes it.

Guys my relationship is seriously threatened, I need advice vis a vis bashing

I know, the only way you can either shift your ground for her or forgive her, is if she apologies, and you can guide her in apologizing, since she is loving and caring but has, really provoked you and gone contarary to the plans you had in mind about settling down with her of which my guess is, she was aware of it, I hope she understands and takes correction never to try such.
