Congrats to those who got PPR today.... I can’t begin to describe the emotions I’ve been going through since I started this journey. With the speed at which I got to IP2, I was sure of getting PPR latest middle of March. Yet here I am still waiting. I’m learning patience by force.
I know it will end in praise sha....

You guys dont even want to know all the emotions I passed through.
I was so sure I was going to get PR in Nov/Dec.I almost resigned sef. When I checked Immi-tracker or watsapp groups, every other october except oct 13th seemed to have gotten pr. After a while, I stopped reading posts on Nairaland and other forums, as I can not coman kee mysef. lol.

All I can say is thank God.

Try to make the best out of whatever situation you find yourself in. The only thing you sometimes have control over is perspective. You don't have control over your situation but you have a choice about how you view it.

Brother, it has been repeated severally on previous threads that work experience should never be rounded up. In my application my work experience I am claiming points for is exactly 1year 11 months and 30days. Just 1 more day to make it 2 years. But i clearly claimed only 1 year experience, which I also filled, to avoid stories..

Hello Osaze, it's no grey area, one doesn't have three years work experience unless it's 12 months after the 2nd year, nothing like 2years plus. This option is only when it's over 3years hence the "3 years or more" option.

I don't think that's actually a misrepresentation given that he didnt even attempt to claim it based on the documents submitted. That was just an oversight because the VO won't have even know anything if he had attempted to claim 3+ years, all he would have done is to combine the two reference letters as one and make it between 2014 -2017 at a go without that gap which he clearly didnt.

Exactly also why did the VO not ask for clarification why wait for 5 months + before responding

Your total years of work experience is more than 3years. Having 1 year gap in between is a different matter.

Do you know how many people have not entered the pool because they are waiting to hit that 3 yr mark? Some people have 2 years 11months and 15 days work experience and they still haven't joined the pool because they realize that Canada does not approximate to the nearest whole figure.

I completely agree with you. A friend of mine wrote Academic IELTS in error earlier this year and got an 8 in writing and he just saw his May result and guess what, writing 6.5. Something sinister is going on.

Academic is actually easier than General

They requested salary deposit to account, tax documents, payslips, university literature showing my faculty and name.

I Submitted 12 months pay slips signed and stamped by the VC, university literature showing my faculty and name, employment letter and LOE from the VC to explain lack of tax documents and salary deposits.
