A gang of robbers in the. early hours of this morning mounted a daring raid on the Igumale Police Station in Ado LG of Benue Station. According to police sources who spoke to IPN , the robbers stormed the police station on Motorbikes around 12am, attacked the 5 policemen on duty out of which one was killed and the other four injured. Among the injured, one later died in the hospital bringing the total number of fatality
to two, a Hausa and an Idoma man of Agatu descent. The robbers made away with all the guns and ammunitions in the police station which seems to be the target attack. A call by the IPN to the police station confirmed this attack. As at the moment of filing this report, the DPO of the station was being ferried to a safe place.
