So what would be the point of relocating if you are not happy or lonely where you are? If you cannot intergrate or atleast make an effort to make new friends there (forget your Naigerian friends) make new friends, find a girl or a boy friend cheesy have kids, go to your work colleagues birthdays, go to Pubs, attend bebeques night clubs. Join a Gym, don't just keep to yourself, you cannot just sit in your room and expect people to come find and make friends with you. grin join a dance class or salsa do something! Anything! Not just work, work, work and work and complain of loneliness..

If you are going to keep running back and fort to Naigeria for emotional comfort then you might aswell relocate back there for your own sanity because as it appears you need Naigeria more.. good luck

The way I decided to live my life is none of your business. So, if I have the means and the time, I will visit countless time in a year. Thanks
Romance / Re: This Is The Reason I Am Not A Wife Material by Osewa03: 11:16am On Nov 24, 2022
ModestGal:
I read a post about how males like girls that are wife materials and that prompted me to write this post
I grew up in a loving family where everyone is a good cook except me including the boys
As an original Oyo girl, Right from JSS1, my parents and grandma's would tell me how a woman should know how to do housechores and cook well, since that's a way to a man's heart.
Since that time, my mum and siblings tried their best to teach me how to cook, clean,do housechores etc but unfortunately, years and years after, I am unable to learn it

I don't know how to clean or do housechores. I don't know how to do laundry as well. I can't boil ordinary water and 90% of time, when I plan to boil water to make Eba, I will burn the water. I have many younger ones that I was already10 years when they gave birth to them, now these girls usually tell me the quantity of salt to put in stew. That one is even worst, sometimes I wonder if magic is what many people use to put salt and maggi in foods because I can never learn that skill lailai.

How on earth will I know the quantity of salt to put in several sizes of stew? Most times I cook without salt and maggi because I prefer my food to be tasteless than having too much salt. So I just tell myself that, girl, you are living a healthy lifestyle, you don't need salt. Or tell myself, maggi is cancerous and I enjoy my meals unless I have someone cook for me

When it comes to taking care of home, I hate to fold and arrange cloths, so 99% of times, my room is scattered. I don't receive visitors and I usually tell people that my room is bad, but many of my friends would insist to come and once they are with me, they help me arrange my cloths

Now, shebi since men naturally like wife material, im not supposed to find husband, so since secondary school, before I became a full blown feminist, I already told my mum that she should forget mee getting married, that home skills is not for me, each time she mentioned, you will not find husband if you continue like this

But alas, na lie. I usually tell guys about myself, im very vocal and confident about my personality. I will tell men, friends or not, that I don't know how to cook, I don't know how to clean and I have anger problem, (I get angry at petty things), but most times, they wont believe me. They will come up with either im pretending not to have those skills, or they will give me excuses that its not my fault, and some will even offer to be my cook, lol.
Regarding my temper, most of these guys would offer to take me for therapy
Ands lastly,im evidently Ugly, and I will tell them that, im also ugly, we can't date, but nah, they will offer to take me to spar to treat my pimples, blackheads etcetera

So my question is where are the guys looking for wife materials? Because I have never come across any guy who wants a wife material in real life except on social media

I know girls like to compete amidst themselves of who cook the best, I seriously don't know why you girls do this because men don't care in real life. Infact, men dislike girls with those skills and I have seen many good home keeping girls that got their heart broken.
Try and give yourself class and don't cook for any one nor allow yourself clean for any guy.

As a female, we are a gift to humanity. And that's enough favor to men, the fact that we go to heaven and come back during childbirth just to bring a baby that both belongs to both of us to the world is enough favor.
As a girl, don't marry a guy that doesn't know how to cook, clean,do laundry etcetra

Right now,the reason im single is because im yet to find a guy with good cooking skills, most guys can only cook indomie. for no reason will I marry someone that wont be able to give me good foods despite me raising our kids. Please girls, stop lowering your standards, because men don't actually care. I mean men, not boys

I think you're in the abroad. Once a Nigerian girl make it to the abroad, she thinks no Nigerian man deserves her. We all know the reason Nigerian women are submissive in Nigeria is because they have no means to take care of themselves. Lol. If they're working and have freedom, they'll lord over men. But you know what? Nigerian Men don't want you. Not even Nigerian men abroad because we see through u. Thanks. I'm expecting your next post crying for attention

Don't mind the guy. Some of them are anti-japa online for selfish reasons or bad belle.

The OP Aareona should get his citizenship, save at least 50k in guaranteed savings (probably GICs), then carry 10k or 20k and relocate to Nigeria.

Nigerians . Sometimes I feel ashamed to think I come from a country where y'all are like this. Imagine how you think just because someone share his pain here. If you can actually open your brain, and think you'll see the OP isn't discouraging japa. He only share his concern and according to him, he want to vent. He said this because he knows how his country people reasons. Most of y'all can't reason beyond emotion as far as it concern abroad. You whitewash white people a lot, thinking these people care about you. Only a Nigerian wiil curse his country to get sympathy From his White master

I am glad you are having a lovely time. You love good dining and palatable meals. I don't know if it costs a kobo, but if you have the time, you could contact Hotperidot and Abujafoodplug to assist in curating a list of places for you to further flex life.

As usual, beautiful and, this time, sumptuous pictures. I missed Naija suya and barbecued fish tho. Try eating Bole before you leave (check those pages for the best Bole plugs in Abuja). However, if you will visit other states, eat the Bole in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state. That is the home of Bole. It is made up of roasted ripe plantain (to enjoy it, the plantain MUST be ripe), roasted fish and sauce (made up of palm oil, onions and tomatoes). If you are offered roasted groundnuts and plantain as Bole, please for the love of God, respectfully decline it.

This guy and asslicking abroad women .I understand you my brother. It's not easy

I know how much I feel lonely here too, though I don't talk about it. What I do is I make sure I visit Nigeria every time for sanity. These lonely places can savage sanity. Life is actually More than 24hrs light, which you pay for heavily, anyways.

OP, one advise I can give is don't leave Canada for now. Try as much as you can to be visiting Nigeria anytime you can. Don't tell people in Nigeria about your intention to be coming home. They'll erase that thought into oblivion because they're clueless about what you're going through. Only you know what you're going through

Now you're making excuses for the governor's death because it occurred after he flew abroad. I'm sure if he died in Nigeria you'll brandish that as further evidence of Nigeria's broken health system.
Good you admit Buhari's son was stabilized in Nigeria before flown out. According to your earlier claim, he's supposed to die on getting to a Nigerian hospital.
That Buhari refused to use Nigerian hospital is his personal nuance. We've had past presidents who patronize local hospitals.

Again, you're making excuses for foreign health system in their failure to detect covid! But you blamed Nigerian doctors for not detecting covid in Akeredolu.
You see your bias now?
No one has said the Nigerian healthcare system is top notch. What I'm pointing out is the elites are complicit with their penchance for foreign hospitals
.I always avoid people like that. I see the way people are trying to correct him, but yet, he's not seeing reasonings.

I'm in talk with a lady in Canada about getting married to her and all that. I know what we're discussing. I know what she told me about how that place is. Even shared that story on this page for advise. But Nigerian always want to make these places heaven. You'll see them saying "don't come back home" and you start wondering when did an average Nigerian start caring about a fellow Nigerian? It's hypocrisy. Just to demean the country. I understand it. We all know how we all treat each other here. But when it concern abroad, you hear "don't leave o". They think saying things like that will hasten their Visa approval.

Emergency response is the biggest issue in this country. Most of us are one emergency away from ruin or death

This emergency issue y'all cry over. Do you know you can pay $10,000 if an emergency unit come pick you in your home in the US? Depending on distance and depending on your health insurance package?. Don't pray to have emergency issue anywhere bro , you can't afford it unless you're rich or you have a decent insurance. I pray good health follow you

You sound more dumber than I had thought.

Guy, I'm sorry but I need to waddle in. Tbh, you have a defeated mindset about nigeria. You can never really be successful here. All your post and comments I've read here doesn't really address the OP concerns. All that you want to show is how it's hard being a Nigerian. Since yesterday, you're Here throwing different shades to people and trying so hard to ridicule OP's weakness. Not everyone is strong to cope with the loneliness and that's being honest. Here, a guys wife left Canada because of this same issue. Said he can't stay here forever too because he see the difference. Nigeria is the way it is because of the citizens. It's only until u left that u know you people's hypocrisy concerning that country

Why can't you just read this post, and if you have nothing to contribute, move on. Rather than letting people know how you are having it hard.

I also saw how you wish deaths on your own people Just because you want to prove how people don't die in Canada. Seriously, your post sucks.

The OP raise a serious concern. It's fine not everyone can understand. But to disprove it as nothing is mere stupidity

For her to move back and complains of boriness ,it shows she is the lazy type.
Please, let her be and focus more on the children and the future.

Keep praying for her to have a change of heart.

She can't work with an F2 Visa in Canada. She'll be indoor while her husband will go work. It might not be a case of laziness. And is the husband treating her good is also another question one should ask

Hi everyone. I'm a popular moniker on the Politics section, however, I am currently going through some turmoil in my marriage. I cant use my main moniker because of politics ish...

Few years ago (about 4 years now), I moved to Canada with an F1 Visa. At that point, I was only 28 and married with the woman I loved. We had a daughter. However, While I was in school doing my MSc, my wife came in the second year as a dependant, together with our baby. A little over a year, she started complainning about the mundane and boring lifestyle we were living in Canada. I convinced our stay in Canada is not forever, as I equally planned to move back home once I saved enough and had a child while we stay so the baby can be a citizen. Figured she could no longer cope, and perhaps the Winter wasnt really helping matter. Because of her, I wasnt staying in a Shared appartment and was paying heavily for rent, bought a decent TV so she could occupied herself with that while I am in school. Despite her mum's and family pleas, she turned deaf ears decided to move back to Nigeria, a situation I didnt find so comforting because I became terribly lonely after she left. I started working shortly after my program and made plan with her family to set her up in business in Nigeria.

Early this year, my guys back home started telling me how they often see her in club royale partying with friends. I didnt take this serious untill I started to noticed some strange whenever I called her. She stopped doing video call with me without reasons, and there are times when we would have plan to have some sexy talks on phone during the night and she would dissapoint. I asked her about the party things and she excused that with loneliness. I planned to go visit Naija by December because I missed my daughter and wife too, but tbh, I dont know the situation of things as I am scared my wife has probably been cheating on me. And I have not inform her yet of my coming home.

Has she cheated while you were in Nigeria? Because it might not necessarily be what you're suspecting

I made it clear in a post i made that you cannot quantify the life in abroad with money. What is 20 million when your kids are schooled free of charge in a standard international school? What is 20 million when your wife can give birth free of charge in a standard international hospital? What is 20 million when you are given 3 million by the govt to pay for energy? What is 20 million when you can travel to any part of the world. I think you should direct your queries to the useless govt in Nigeria. When ikpeazu governor of abia state came to uk he was standing inside a bus like a 70 year old man but tell him to provide free bus services he would tell you whether people who have money take buses.
In abroad they designed the system not to be cash and carry but to live your dreams. If you want cash bring innovation that would solve problems.

The government pay for your energy consumption in where? US or Canada? If it's in these two countries then you're part of the problem. You're part of the people that always sugarcoat this abroad thing for people back home. For The month of October, I paid nothing less than $150 For electricity. And Government don't pay for your tuition. I don't know if you're talking about elementary school or graduate degree or undergrad. People work their ass off to go to school here. The possibility of you going to school as a poor man here is zero unless you take a government loan, but in Nigeria, you all went to school free of charge

Talking about health care service, a friend paid almost $1700 cuz he had his kneel broken in field. That's probably more than his monthly salary

And again, I don't know what Part of the abroad you dey
