The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Dr) Mudashiru Obasa, on Thursday described the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, as a shining star, whose positive impact on Nigeria is being felt across nations.

Obasa, in a congratulatory statement to celebrate Gbajabiamila, who clocked 58, said there could not have been a better time for the Speaker of the House of Representatives to serve Nigeria other than now when his experience in legislative practice has put the country in the right stead.

Thanking him for his support and roles in the advancement of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Obasa noted that Gbajabiamila’s political journey is a perfect example of what loyalty should be.

“On many fronts, Gbajabiamila has proven to be in tune with the challenges facing Nigeria. He seems to have solutions and ideas at the tip of his finger.

“Despite being the fourth citizen of the country, Gbajabiamila has never forgotten his roots. He constantly reaches out to his constituents and gives them feedbacks on government policies and steps,” Obasa, who chairs the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, said.

Last month, the Director-General of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Dr Tedros Ghebreysus equally echoed TB Joshua’s prophecy, stating that the coronavirus outbreak pandemic is teaching the world humility.

Ahead of the PDP primary election that is set to take place tomorrow, the leader of INRI evangelical spiritual church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has predicted victory for Godwin Obaseki and also made it known that the battle between the embattled governor and his predecessor, Adams Oshiomhole Is not yet over.

He had earlier predicted the battle faced by the Edo state governor as far back as 2016 and the trouble that is currently facing Adams Oshiomhole, who was asked to step down as the chairman of the APC through court judgment.
He vividly said in a series of prophecy that he sees Obaseki being eased out of the APC primaries because Adams Oshiomhole is hell bent on making him lose out. He also said that fighting the governor is unnecessary and that if care isn’t taken, Adams Oshiomhole won’t see 2023 as APC Chairman.

Man United offer new contract to youngster after old videos of him at TB Joshua’s church emerged

Angel Gomes, the Manchester United youngster who attended TB Joshua’s church in Lagos in 2016 could be set to sign a contract extension with the former Premier League champions.

I am making this disclosure in response to a fake news circulated today on social media concerning the state of health of the son and wife our late Senator, Bayo Oshinowo.

As a concerned Nigerian close to the family of the deceased man of God who ventured into politics, I deem it imperative to make the above affirmation for records and for posterity.

I declare in my honour that I saw the wife and son of the late senator on Monday 15th June in good health, when the body of the deceased was intered. Today Wednesday 17th June again, I personally spoke with the duo on phone and both, like any reasonable persons in their situation, are still traumaatised by the shock of the sudden death of the beloved head of their family, but certainly in steady and health conditions.

FRESH PROTESTS AGAINST RACISM ROCK USA AFTER ANOTHER POLICE SHOOTING, CONFIRMING TB JOSHUA’S PROPHECY

Fresh nationwide rallies in USA denouncing police brutality have been triggered after the death of another African-American man, Rayshard Brooks, at the hands of police.

Brooks, 27, was shot twice in the back, during an encounter with two policemen in Atlanta, Georgia.

Police responded to a call Friday night about a man sleeping in a car outside a fast-food restaurant. For more than 20 minutes, Brooks responded to questions calmly and complied with officers' requests before they tried to arrest him.

During the arrest, a struggle ensued before the officer shot Brooks three times as he attempted to run away.

Hours after the killing Friday night, Atlanta police chief Erika Shields stepped down and the officer who shot Brooks, Garrett Rolfe, was fired.

On Monday morning, protesters flooded streets in downtown Atlanta decrying Brooks' death and demanding an end to systemic racism.

Weeks ago, one of the best news that reached the religion sector of the economy, especially in Lagos, is the opening of churches announced by the governor of the state, Babajide Sanwoolu.

The governor explained that according to the directives of the federal government that all religious organisations can open, the state has fixed June 19 and June 21 for the opening of mosques and churches respectively.

This news brought about joy In churches, mosques, followed by several gratitude to the governor and President on the new resolution. Church members who have missed dancing and worshipping with brethren were re-awakened, with the hope that in few days, they will be re-united with other members again.

Muslim worshippers too on the other hand were full of hope again because they will have the opportunity to worship allah together.

Unfortunately, it seems the hope of Christians and Muslims are about to be dashed again as analysis done by this writer, if it is anything to go by, have confirmed that the religious centres wont be opened anymore on June 19 and June 21.

One of the main reasons Governor Sanwoolu wont open churches is that the Christian body isn’t united. Some are of the opinion that the Governor should open the church so people can pray while some are of the opinion that the churches should remain locked to curb the spread of the virus.

The government is a very democratic one, hence, everything done is as a result of consultations. The governor has consulted church leaders in Lagos, done meetings with them and it’s evident that the church isn’t united and this has caused serious fear for the governor.

The likes of the General Overseer Of Redeemed Christian Church Of God, Pastor E.A Adeboye, The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Ayodele, CAN President, some Pentecostal churches leaders suggested opening of the churches to the governor so members can come together and pray while some others like Synagogue Church Of All Nations led by TB Joshua, including Anglican church leaders in Lagos state are not supporting the opening of churches.

For Muslims too, the chief imam of Lagos state is of the opinion that the governor shouldn’t open mosques in order to curb the virus.


Another reason the governor won’t open the religious centres is the number of cases discovered few days ago. It is worthy of being noted that in Nigeria, the number of covid-19 cases have seriously increased and this has also put Lagos at the receiving end because most of the cases are discovered there.

After the incident, Sabiu reportedly went to his villa, however, the first lady together with her children stormed the villa and started raining abuses.
Sabiu, according to sources escaped after several gunshots were fired by the First Lady’s ADC who attempted to arrest the President’s aide.

Upon hearing the development, the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu ordered the arrest of the Aide-de-camp to the first lady and every security aide who went to Sabiu’s residence.

Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly on Monday passed a vote of confidence on the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa.

This confidence vote followed the presentation of the report of a nine-man fact-finding committee of the House on allegations of corruption levelled against the speaker by Sahara Reporters headed by Hon. Victor Akande (Ojo constituency 1) during plenary.

The committee was told to investigate the allegations of corruption levelled against the Speaker part of which bothered on operating 64 accounts with banks with different names.

The Speaker was also alleged to have unilaterally approved expenditure for programmes and activities in the House, and spent N258 million to print invitation cards for the inauguration of the 9th Assembly.

Sahara Reporters also alleged that the Speaker received N80 million as estacode and that his wife was collecting N10 million from the House on a monthly basis.

There were also reports that the House purchased 11 Hiace buses as well as 80 cars for the lawmakers within a year without following due process.

The committee, in its report stated that all the allegations were frivolous and that the Speaker followed due process in all his purchases.

Part of the committee's recommendation is that the clerk of the House should begin the process of investigating the leakage of some documents to the press and bring the erring staff members to book.

The committee also recommended that the activities of the House should be digitalised for proper record keeping and monitoring.

It was then suggested that vote of confidence should be passed on Speaker Obasa having realised that the allegations against him are all false.

Hon. Setonji David (Badagry 2) moved the motion for the adoption of the recommendation of the committee and this was supported by Hon. Temitope Adewale (Ifako Ijaiye 2).

The whole members agreed with the recommendations based on a voice vote conducted by the Majority Leader of the House, Hon. Sanni Agunbiade, who acted as the Speaker during the sitting.

Earlier in his report, the committee chairman, Hon. Victor Akande, had surmarised the findings and stated that the House was concerned about the damaging allegations against the Speaker by Sahara Reporters.

He said the 9-man adhoc committee was constituted by the House to investigate the allegations made against him.

Members of the committee are Hon. Yinka Ogundimu (Agege 2), Hon. Gbolahan Yishawu (Eti Osa 2), Hon. Lukmon Olumoh (Ajeromi Ifelodun 1) and Hon. Ajani Owolabi (Lagos Mainland 1).

Others are Hon. Mojisola Alli-Macaulay (Amuwo Odofin 1), Hon. Rotimi Olowo (Shomolu 1) and Hon. Akeem Shokunle (Oshodi/Isolo 1).

The committee, Hon. Victor said, was mandated to invite Sahara Reporters and others to prove their allegations against the Speaker.

"The committee started sitting on Thursday 4th June, 2020 and we also sat on Friday 5th June and Saturday 6th June.

"Sahara Reporters, Human and Environmental Development Agenda (HEDA), Budgit, Concerned Nigerians, Independent Diaspora Nigerians Against Corruption, Mr. Bayo Oluwasanmi of Sahara Reporters, but they did not honour the invitation.

He, however, said that all the banks invited including Ecobank, Wema Bank, Polaris and Zenith Bank denied the allegations that the speaker had multiple accounts with them with the same BVN and different names.

The lawmaker stated that the committee found that the Speaker has just one account with Ecobank, which he opened in 2007, but that the account is dormant and that the BVN quoted for Ecobank was not correct.

"The Speaker does not have multiple accounts with Ecobank, the BVN ascribed to Wemabank does not belong to him and the companies attributed to him in Wema Bank are not correct.

"Out of the 14 accounts attributed to him for Zenith Bank, only six belong to him and only two are active.

"The companies ascribed to him in Zenith Bank does not belong to him. The Deputy Speaker did not attend any trip in Dubai as against the reports of Sahara Reporters," he said.

The committee also stated that it found out that the purchase of vehicles for the lawmakers were ratified by the Fund Management Committee (FMC) of the House in both the 8th and 9th Assemblies.

It was also revealed that the purchase of Toyota Prado and Land Cruiser cars for members were approved by the FMC and the Lagos State Public Procurement Agency (PPA).

"The purchase of operational vehicles for members of the 9th Assembly was approved by the FMC members.

"The purchase of 36 Toyota Prado and 6 Land Cruisers were budgeted for and approved by the PPA. The allegations of spending N64 Million for social media influencers was not true.

"The USA trip was attended. Only eight Hiace Buses were purchased for committee works and staff buses. Contrary to the claim of N258 million spent for printing invitation cards for the inauguration for 9th assembly as only N61 million was spent for the event and N1.1 for invitation cards.

"The facility management company in the House does not belong to the Speaker. The alleged N10 million paid to the speaker wife is not true," he said.

The sustained campaign of calumny against the Minister of Niger-Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, has once again come to light as the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has denied asking the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to probe the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio.
Distancing himself from a malicious letter said to have emanated from the Clerk of the Senate, Senator Omo-Agege, denounced the letter which was purportedly written on his behalf, requesting the acting Chairman of the anti-graft agency, Mr Ibrahim Magu, to investigate the Minister.
The denial of this letter by Omo-Agege has further proven that there are some elements in the National Assembly bent to tarnish Akpabio with spurious allegations in order to deter him from looking into the books of the Niger-Delta Development Commission, which had been used as a cash cow to a few who corruptly enriched themselves, thereby denying the region of worthwhile development.
Describing the document as fake, the Deputy President of the Senate, insisted that he never instructed the Clerk or any other person to contact the EFCC to investigate any individual.
A statement signed by Yomi Odunuga, special adviser, Media and Publicity, to the Deputy President of the Senate, reads: “The attention of the Office of the Deputy President of the Senate has been drawn to a letter dated 7th May, 2020, purportedly written by the Clerk of the Senate, acting on behalf of the Office of Deputy President of the Senate, requesting the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate and monitor the Honourable Minister of Niger Delta Affairs and one other.
“This Office hereby states that the said letter is false, fake, malicious, mischievous and vexatious.

“This Office never instructed the Clerk of the Senate, or in fact any person, to write to or contact the EFCC in relation to any person.
“In the light of the foregoing, we wish to urge the public to disregard the fake letter, same being the handiwork of a person or persons with criminal intents.”

Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudaahiru Obasa, told the panel of enquiry raised by the Assembly on Saturday that the corruption allegations against him by Sahara Reporters were the handiwork of his enemies.

Speaker Obasa said this when he appeared before the 9-man Fact Finding Panel of the House chaired by Hon. Victor Akande (Ojo Constituency 1).

The Speaker explained that all the allegations made by Sahara Reporters in its series of reports were unfounded.

Obasa stressed that the vehicles bought for the members of the House and other expenses made by the House were done with the approval of the House and that of the Fund Management Committee (FMU) of the House headed by him.

"We bought Land Cruisers for Principal Officers of the House. The cars we buy for Principal Officers are always higher than those of other members and we followed the due process in the purchase.

"We went through the Public Procurement Agency (PPA) and others and the vehicles were distributed appropriately.

"It was agreed at the parliamentary meetings on about four occasions and the Clerk of the House is the Secretary.

"Also, it is not true that my wife collects N10 Million monthly from the House. Anyone who says she does should come with proofs and evidences.

"My approval limit as the Speaker of the House is N100 million. Anything above that would have to be approved by the Fund Management Committee. On Prado Jeep that we bought for the members, we followed the due process like we did in that of the Principal Officers," he explained.

Obasa also debunked an allegation that N258 million was spent for the printing of invitation cards for the inauguration of the 9th Assembly adding that the whole event cost N61 million while N1.1 million was spent to print the invitation cards.

"It is not possible to spend N258 Million to print invitation cards. We are not involved in such a frivolous expenditure," he added.

Concerning the alleged N80 million expended as estacode for the training of women in Dubai, the Speaker said that wives of 20 lawmakers attended the event and that he was there to declare the event open.

"We gave N4 million to each of the participants for air ticket, hotels, feedings and local travel. Air ticket to Dubai alone is about N2 million. Some of these allegations were raised for a crusade to get the Speaker out of office.

"The House of Assembly is above common standard of excellence and we have to train people, and this comes with a cost. Learning is not cheap and I have never collected N80 Million for estacode at a go before," he said.

The Speaker defended the purchase of eight Hiace buses for committee works in the Assembly as he explained that it was discovered that the House was spending a lot of money to repair vehicles, which he said was why the House decided to buy the buses and that the buses were there for everybody to see with documents to defend the purchases.

He denied the allegation that he spent N53 million for a trip to the United States of America with his mistress.

"We were invited by the Consular General for a programme in the United States. Later, the programme was postponed, but I had gone ahead. I had to return home and I told others not to bother to come until the postponed dates," he said.

The Speaker told the committee that it was not possible for him to spend N17 million for cleaning of his guest house as against the allegation made by Sahara Reporters .

"They only remove documents and fly them around to please themselves. All our payments go through certain procedures.

"The expenditure had been there before I became the Speaker. There was no way I could have spent N17 million on cleaning my guest house.

"On the issue of awarding contracts to companies belonging to me, they should come and show evidence of where I awarded contracts to myself," he said.

Concerning the report that he tricked former governor Akinwunmi Ambode of the state to spend N350 million for hosting a meeting of Conference of Speakers, Obasa said told the committee that this was not possible.

He maintained that such was not possible since Ambode is an accountant, who rose to be the Chief Accountant of the State.

"There was no way I could have tricked Ambode to release such money anyhow. We had a meeting of the Conference of Speakers, who came with three members each and we had subcommittees who were given N2 million each.

"We paid for the tickets of each Speaker, we pay for their hotel accommodation, feeding and souvenirs.

"We also provided local transportation for them. All these allegations are deliberate actions of my enemies to achieve their aims that they could not achieve in the House to remove me as the Speaker of the House, which was why they came up with such reports.

"On N60 Million spent for social influencers, I did not sign such money. I don't even know the companies they are talking about. The BVN they are flying about is not correct.

"Whatever I have done as a Speaker, all the approvals I gave as Speaker were given based on collective approval of the members of the House," he said.


The Deputy Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Wasiu Eshinlokun-Sanni, who also appeared before the panel denied attending meeting in Dubai as against the report of SaharaReporters.

Also speaking, Chairman of the House Committee on Information and Strategy, Hon. Tunde Braimoh, said that while a media parley was held by the House, he didn't know how much was spent on the event since different people handled different aspects of the event.

"We provided hospitality for the few the people that came. The event involved other things, there were catering and others that were given to other people to handle.

"It is most uncharitable to say we spent N47.5 Million for social media influencers. We spend money on publicity and public relations.

"We have programmes that we pay for on TVC and LTV 8. We have a magazine that we produce and we print 40,000 copies quarterly and distribute to schools and other places and we pay for the content, design and production," he said.

The Clerk of the House, Mr. Azeez Sanni also defended the estacode for the trip to the United States of America, saying that it followed the standard procedure, and that the programme was budgeted for under conferences and seminars.

"We did not buy 11 buses, we bought eight Hiace buses for committee assignments.

"The cost exceeded N100 million and it was approved by the Management Committee of the House. It was also approved by the Public Procurement Agency and the Ministerial Tenders Board and we got a Certificate of Compliance for the purchase.

"The buses are in place at the car park. We have budgetary provision for the vehicles.

"The women trip to Dubai was also approved for in the budget. The Speaker was there, the wife of the Deputy Speaker was there and wives of 17 other lawmakers. Each participant got money for air fare, local transportation and others," he said.

Sanni also cleared the air on N258 million for printing of invitation card, saying that the money for the whole event was N61 Million and that only N1.1 million was spent for the printing of the programme for the event.


He confirmed that 80 cars were bought in 11 months for the 8th and 9th assemblies.

"We bought 40 Corolla Cars back-up vehicles for the 8th Assembly.

"The purchase was approved by the Management Committee led by the Speaker with Hon. Olumuyiwa Jimoh, Saka Fafunmi, Hon. David Setonji and others as members.

"In the 9th Assembly, we bought Toyota Prado for members and this was approved by the Funds Management Committee headed by the Speaker.

"The issue of the vehicle was discussed at the various parliamentary meetings and it was unanimously agreed by the members.

"We bought 36 Prado Jeeps for members and it went through the PPA and we have Compliance Certificate for the purchase.

"We also bought six Land Cruisers for the Principal Officers approved by the FMC and PPA with Certificate of Compliance.

"On women empowerment programmes. We raised a submission for the programme and it was recognised by the Assembly budget. It was not paid into the account of the wife of the Speaker. The facility manager has no relationship with the Speaker of the House," he said.

The Clerk of the House, however said that some documents might have been released to SaharaReporters "through some disgruntled staffers of the House.

"We have been taking steps on that and we have transferred some staff.

"The files go through many tables and there is no doubt that some devilish staffers take pictures of some of these documents and send to these people.

"The staff have taken oaths and this attracts dismissal. Unofficial disclosure of information attracts dismissal in the civil service," he stated.

Two officials of Zenith Bank; Mr. John Olorundare, Chief Compliance Officer, Mr. John Olorundare, Zonal Head of Alausa, Mr. Sanni Idowu Awe also appeared before the panel.

The bank officials stated that an individual could only have one BVN.

They confirmed that different account names could not be used for one BVN and that Speaker Obasa had only six accounts with Zenith Bank.

According to them, only two of the accounts are operational; one savings and current, while the rest are dormant.

Present at the meeting were other members of the committee including Hon. Yinka Ogundimu (Agege 2), Hon. Gbolahan Yishawu (Eti Osa 2), Hon. Lukmon Olumoh (Ajeromi Ifelodun 1) and Hon. Ajani Owolabi (Lagos Mainland 1).

Others are Hon. Mojisola Alli-Macaulay (Amuwo Odofin 1), Hon. Rotimi Olowo (Shomolu 1) and Hon. Akeem Shokunle (Oshodi/Isolo 1).

Officials of Ecobank, Wema Bank and Polaris have absolved the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa of allegation of operating multiple bank accounts in the banks.

Some representatives of the banks spoke before the 9-man House Adhoc Committee on fact finding and investigation on the corruption allegations against Speaker Mudashiru Obasa being circulated on the social media on Friday.

The bank officials stated that it was not possible for an individual to operate multiple accounts with one Bank Verification Number (BVN).

The Committee is headed by Hon. Victor Akande (Ojo Constituency 1).

Present during the meeting were Hon. Rotimi Olowo, Hon. Yinka Ogundimu, Hon. Lukmon Olumoh and Hon. Mojisola Alli-Macaulay.

A Business Development Officer with Wema Bank, Mr. Adekunle Adeleke, said that the BVN server is not reserved with any bank, but the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

"Sahara Reporters stated the account number and other details in their reports, but they didn't state the BVN. What Sahara Reporters wrote is not BVN. There are a lot of errors in their report.

"The BVN and the accounts stated in the story are not correct and they don't belong to the Speaker of the Assembly.

"It is not possible for a BVN to have two dates of births. If they do so, it would be rejected in another bank, they would have to swear to an affidavit so that it would be the same.

"If it should be changed, it would be backed up by marriage certificate or sworn affidavit," he stated.

Adeleke stressed that the companies stated by Sahara Reporters in their reports had no linkage with Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa.

He added that the name, signature and other details in the story has no relationship with Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa.

"You can write Wema Bank to confirm if the accounts mentioned by Sahara Reporters had any relationship with the Speaker.

"The computer system in the bank has a digital footprint that would show any visit to any account. It will show imprint of anyone that checks the account. You can request the details of all the checks, but we will need written request from the owner of the account.

"BVN is a different server, it does not belong to any bank. You cannot punch BVN and get any financial details. It is only the regulator or the anti-corrupion agency that can do so through the CBN," he said.

Polaris Bank was represented by Mr. Charles Osho and Mr. Rotimi Omotayo, Chief Internal Auditor of the bank.

Mr. Omotayo said that only three of the 64 accounts credited to the Speaker by SaharaReporters were with Polaris Bank.

He revealed that two of the accounts belong to one Mr. Adebayo Adeyemi David, while one belongs to Mr. Ajayi Mudashiru Obasa.

"Mr. Adebayo Adeyemi David is different from Mr. Ajayi Mudashiru Obasa and there is no linkage between the two personalities.

"Rt. Hon. Ajayi Mudashiru Obasa has one account with our bank and the BVN quoted for Obasa is correct. The other person has a separate BVN for the two accounts.

"It is not possible to check someone's account without authorisation. There is what we call system log. Whoever accesses an account is logged on the system and we can see whoever does that.

"We know those who access any account at any point in time. We can avail you of the information if you require it," he said.

General Manager of the Lagos State Public Procurement Agency (PPA), Mr. Onafowote Fatai Idowu, who was also invited by the Committee, revealed that the 40 Toyota Corolla back-up cars bought for the 8th Assembly were with the notice of his office and that the purchase followed the due process.

He said that Certificate of Compliance was issued for the procurement of the vehicles on 30th April, 2019.

"We were communicated and we responded for the process to continue and we approved the purchase of the vehicles.

"The purchase of the vehicles was approved by the Management Committee of the House, led by the Speaker Mudashiru Obasa and the relevant documents were provided.

"Members of the Committee were Hon. Wahab Olumuyiwa Jimoh, Hon. Rotimi Olowo, Hon. Dayo Saka-Fafunmi, and Hon. Setonji David. The purchase was budgeted for and It is in tandem with the appropriate Procurement Law," he said.

The committee subsequently adjourned sitting to Saturday 6th June, 2020 at 10am.

PDP Chieftain, Prince (DR) Adedipe Dauda Ewenla mourns Lagos council chairman, Adeoye Arogundade

Prince (DR) Adedipe Dauda Ewenla, a PDP Chieftain has paid a condolence visit to the family of the deceased Executive Chairman of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Dr Augustine Adeoye Arogundade who died yesterday due to reasons yet unknown.

Ewenla described him as a father figure and one who plays his fatherly role always

He made it known that he has proven to be a good listener times without number, one of which includes a bad road repair which he approved after several complains, although he wasn’t able to finish it before his death

‘’ Dr Arogundade, the executive Chairman Agbado oke odo is a father who normally plays his fatherly roles to the community and a good listener. He listens to people especially when people complain.

I remember last year when I complained on an online platform and a newspaper about the state of road beside the local government linking katangiwa market and also about two caterpillars parked in front of the local government office without being used.

In that publication, I enjoined EFCC to interrogate him. To my surprise, Dr Arogundade approved the road in not up to three weeks after the publication, it’s just painful that he couldn't finish the road before he died’

He revealed that despite the fact that people have been complaining about the leadership system in Lagos state, Dr Arogundade tried his best and thread through the right path of rendering service to the people.

He therefore urged the people of Agbado Oke-Odo to forgive the deceased and his family in anyway he might have failed them, stating that he means well for the people but the leadership of his party (APC) contributed greatly to some of his failures.

Furthermore, he frowned at the leadership style of the All Progressive Congress (APC) at the state level and national level and asked the people to prepare for a better level since the next level has failed.

Okiki Bright set to quit hip hop for Fuji music, says Fuji is not competitive anymore

Popular fast rising hip-hop artist, Raji Mutiu popularly known as Okiki Bright has planned to dump hip hop music for Fuji . Trixx NG can authoritatively report.

The talented artiste who lamented that Fuji music is no more competitive, explained that he will delving into Fuji to fulfill his long cherished desire.

It would be recalled that Okiki Bright had dragged telecommunications giants in the country to court some years ago over intellectual theft of his song Gbagbe Bosesele featuring Oritse Femi.

On the reason for his new found love for Fuji, Okiki Bright disclosed that the love for Fuji music runs in his veins and assured he would entertain his fans with good Fuji music anytime he is called upon to do so.

While stressing that Fuji music is no longer competitive in Nigeria he noted out that top Fuji musicians in the country are self centered and don't want upcoming ones to grow.

In a newly released song, the talented artiste accused top artistes like Wasiu Ayinde K1, Saheed Osupa, Abass Obesere, Alabi Pasuma and many others of being prodigal sons who inherited the Fuji genre of music from late Sikiru Ayinde Barrister but refused to support the upcoming generation to grow in the music industry.

He however advised young upcoming Fuji musicians to be focused and bold in facing any challenge that comes their way as none would come to their aid but themselves. He opined that, "you should know that the so-called established and popular musicians won't help you because they are not good leaders and lack the qualities of good Fuji leaders," he said.

Okiki Bright further assured his teeming fans that he would be more focused and promote Fuji music as he is ready to compete with any top musician in Nigeria.

"I have the talent and the voice all I need is to put in the hardwork and I assure my fans that I will do just that. As a talented artist with late Barrister's voice, I believe the late fuji king's fans will still prefer me to all these top Fuji musicians who are self centered and can't help the upcoming ones to achieve their goals," he noted.

Primate Elijah Ayodele Prophecy On Protest In America Comes To Pass

The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele’s prophecy on America has just come to pass.

The prophet had earlier predicted that he sees protests by the blacks against racism and killings in America. This was contained in the 2019 edition of his annual book of prophecy titled ‘Warning to the nations’.

It is worthy of being noted that ever since Covid-19 started, Primate Elijah Ayodele has proven to be a true man of God with the prophecies he has given during this period, which some have come to pass already. Some of them includes hunger in the land, increase in crime rate, loss of important personalties to death, to mention a few.

He has also spoken publicly against the closure of worship centres, making it known that it is inciting the wrath of God. Weeks after he made this pronouncement, some governors, presidents have also said the same thing and have vowed to open religious centres.

The chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has expressed hope that the recently signed executive order for the autonomy of Houses of Assembly will not be a challenge to governors.

Obasa, who is also the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, said this during a recent edition of Journalists Hangout on Television Continental where the executive order signed by President Muhammadu Buhari granting autonomy to the state legislatures and judiciary was discussed.

Speaking through a phone call, Obasa noted that the governors were carried along in the journey leading to the approval by the President. He added that he was optimistic that the autonomy would be beneficial to the states.

We can move the country forward in the spirit and letter of the constitution, right?

Yes.

Do we expect all 36 of you to be on the same page?
Exactly, we are already. We got to this stage because we had been in support of this from the beginning. Let me remind you that there was alteration to the constitution and the process to that was after a review of the National Assembly, certain percentage of the Houses of Assembly had to support the review and that was what led to the alteration of the section 121(3) of the constitution as amended which are now talking about. Thereafter, Mr. President set up an implementation committee, which I happened to be a member. There were representatives of the judiciary, the Attorney-General of the Federation and the SA on Legislative Matters to the President, Senator Ita Enang. We all agreed and came up with a report which was submitted. We all went to the President and submitted the report. Speakers also visited Mr. President recently to appeal to him to speed up the executive order which we finally received as a gift on Sallah day. So we are all in it together. We also met with the Governors Forum and a committee was set up by the governors which was headed by Governor Waziri Tambuwal. We met once with the committee before the announcement. So I think we are all in it and it is going to be beneficial to the governors, the speakers and the people of this country. So, I don’t think the governors should see this as a kind of challenge because even the constitution has always made provision for the legislature to be independent of the executive. It is just like putting effect to what we have in the constitution already.

Does that mean you don’t expect a fight-back from the governors now?
I don’t think there should be a reason to fight over this. The judiciary, legislature and the executive should just have understanding. The constitution is so clear about all these. The executive, the judiciary and the legislature have their own interests but there is a connection according to the provisions of the constitution in the sense that the chief judge of a state has to be nominated by the executive and sucjh has to be given backing by the legislature and that also has to be proclaimed by the governor. So we must learn to work together with understanding.

There is a child of circumstance in the whole mix and this is the local government chairman. Is he likely going to enjoy this autonomy very soon?
We believe so. But our take on this, since we practice federalism, is that the tiers should remain two – the centre and the states, while the local governments remain under the states. I think we can strengthen our local governments. The observation made earlier that some governors are taking money away from the local governments can be managed through the state laws and supervision at the state level. So, there are all kinds of elections in this country and we do not want a situation where the centre would influence the local governments when it comes to elections like it happened during Chief Olusegun Obasanjo’s regime, when he withheld Lagos state’s allocations. We don’t want situations where local governments would be set against states. We can manage it on the state levels.

The leader of INRI Evangelical church has showered praises on the president of United states of America, Donald Trump for his recent declaration that religious houses i.e churches and mosques should be opened for the sake of prayers.
The president made it known that America needs prayer more than ever and It is not a time to close down religious houses, especially for the fact that abortion homes, liquor stores remain open.

Also, the man of God hailed the general overseer of Living faith church worldwide AKA Winners chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo for his comments on the closure of churches in Nigeria.

‘There is something wrong. For people to be allowed to be in the market for six hours and can’t be in church for two hours, it is an upside-down way of looking at things.
I don’t know what hospital that records the kind of healings that the church of God records. And now hospitals, where people die every day, are open, but the church is closed because the oppression of the devil has no medical cure.’’
According to Primate Ayodele, Oyedepo has not lost the word and all his activities during this pandemic is commendable.

He also commended the President of Tanzania for opening churches, and also some governors in Nigeria for their courage toward opening of religious houses even in the midst of the pandemic.

‘I salute Donald trump, Tanzania president, governors in Nigeria who have the courage to open churches with social distance. Even the South African president, our president is yet to talk. He should know that he is the president of the most populated country in Africa, he has not been performing well in Covid-19, his government has failed In this area.

It would be recalled that since the lockdown began, Primate Elijah Ayodele had been clamouring for the opening of churches so that people can pray to God together against the global pandemic. He had also said that the pandemic won’t go anytime soon, until God’s appointed time.

Similarly, he revealed that in Nigeria, the cases recorded will still surpass 10,000, he made this known few months ago.

However, Primate Elijah Ayodele has frowned at the approach President of the Christian Association Of Nigeria, Supo Ayokunle towards Covid-19, in relation to christians in Nigeria.

The man of God made it known that the association has kept quiet because of the stipend they get from the government and that the right thing has not been done.

He explained that the CAN President has nothing to offer christians in Nigeria because he is not spiritually loaded. He also called for his removal and replacement by someone like Bishop David Oyedepo

‘’ CAN President is just a puppet, he should be removed, he has nothing to offer Christians in Nigeria, it is quite unfortunate that we give people who are not spiritually inclined to be leaders , I am not being abusive, we need people like oyedepo to lead the Christian association.
When other people are opening churches in parts of the world, he could not say anything because of the stipend the government is giving him.

There is trouble in Christianity in this country, look at Tanzania president, he has opened churches, they are not even using facemasks there, but our CAN President is just a disgrace to Christendom, he is an empty barrel, he has not demonstrated anything.
CAN Has not offered prayers, nothing during this crisis, it’s a time to call on clerics to pray for the nation but he didn’t do any of that, rather he sidelined some pastors , there is no co-existence in Christendom.’’
Also, he reinstated that if churches remain closed, there will be more havoc, more death relating to Covid-19.

Furthermore, he gave kudos to Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwoolu for his activities in the midst of the pandemic, while noting that lockdown isn’t needed anymore.

‘’ I give Kudos to the governor of Lagos state because in his own little way, he has been able to put things together, to curtail the spread, I say well done to him and some other governors.

Covid-19 is going to expose our government financial management. My advice is that the government should know we don’t need lockdown anymore, human activities have locked down too, we only need solution to this which is prayer. The covering of nosemasks, use of sanitizers will only increase it, some of those things are infected already , it will cause another virus, it will go at God’s appointed time’’

It is worthy of being noted that due to the effect of Covid-19 on the world economy, oil price has drastically reduced, however, The man of God has stated that soon, oil price will start coming up

In the same vein, he issued a strong warning to the southern part of the country against Alamaji. He made it known that Almajiri is a northern agenda, south should be careful and God will help them even though they have sold themselves to the north because of power.

Primate Elijah Ayodele had given several prophecies in the midst of Covid-19 which have come to pass, some of them include the issue between WHO and United State, which has led to a break in their relationship, hunger in the world, death of notable personalities, World health organisation troubles, killings, to mention a few.
