Romance / Shameful Lifestyle Of Edwina Logico And Daughter, Diana Faith Logico by Oshoboy01: 10:15pm On Sep 16, 2020
Exposed! Shameful lifestyle of Edwina Logico and daughter, Diana Faith Logico aka (Ododo Yankee Dudu)

The self-acclaimed Edo royal family of Logico is allegedly known for two things - marriage controversies and blackmailing. The family's stock-in-trade is to lure unsuspecting rich men into relationship/marriage and thereafter cripple them financially through manipulation’s and blackmail.
Diana Faith Logico (Ododo Yankee Dudu) and Temidayo Lucky Kafaru, met sometime in March 2019. And just about four weeks later, Diana's mother, Mrs. Edwina Logico called Temidayo to her private bedroom, where she informed him that her daughter was pregnant In what was clearly a well-planned scheme to trap him into a forced marriage. That she was introduced to Temidayo as an escort but after the alleged pregnancy and since Temidayo was prevailed upon as human and didn't want to have kids outside wedlock he considered to marry her thinking she would turn a new leaf when showed love and affection...
He paid deaf ears to all the unprintable things people said about Diana Faith Logico being an escort but in his eyes she was his wife and the mother of his unborn child.Their plans paid off and Temidayo, who they wrongly assumed was extremely wealthy got married in a colorful ceremony to Diana in 2019 with so much debt unpaid till now.

The Mother who gifted Temidayo two Aloe-vera flower in an old clay pot before the wedding, advised that the alo vera should be used for facial cleansing. The weird gift was working until July when Temidayo was alerted by few family members who prevailed on him to discard the Aloe-vera Pot

Trouble started in paradise right from their honeymoon in Ghana. The ill-fated marriage kicked off on a bad note. Diana, who has a short fuse and also a violent woman allegedly slapped her new husband more than three times during their stay in Ghana over a minor argument.

When temidayo told the mom, Mrs. Edwina Logico, her reply was a shocker, *IS ONLY YOUR WIFE THAT CAN SLAP YOU, IF ONLY YOU KNOW HOW MANY MEN OUT THERE THAT RECEIVED WORST, JUST BE PATIENT WITH HER. A clear indication that she was in the marriage solely for something that's far away from love. Things moved from bad to worse and it was evidently that the union was made in HELL and ALOE-VERA.

Mrs. Edwina Logico is the mastermind of the gold digging mission to wreck Temidayo. Aside from her overbearing and firm hold on the marriage and her daughters. She manipulated her daughter's husband to sign an agreement in their marriage on the 9th of April 2020. Among the ridiculous terms and conditions include monthly upkeep of 450,000 monthly, which was negotiated to 200,000 but she collected more than that monthly (an average of 370,000) excluding feeding and pampers.
To establish and support any business of her choice that will benefit and develop her when their son turns 5 Months. To provide and buy her a car as soon as he make additional money, get promoted or any form of financial breakthrough. To never lay his hands on his wife and always be honest and truthful. to respect his wife and her family members and stop using derogatory words that may upset Diana Faith Logico.

Prior to the signing of the agreement, Mrs Edwina Logico, masterminded a gold digging plot and compelled Temidayo to purchase flight tickets (Arik Airline) for some actors who she paraded as Benin High chiefs, sent from the royal palace of The Benin Kingdom.

He was also asked to provide luxury accommodation and feeding for the royal palace members of her family numbering over 17 (seventeen) in the highbrow Lekki and Ajah axis of Lagos. And as if that wasn't enough, Diana was playing her own part of the script nearly choking the poor man to death with all sorts of financial requests ranging from luxury baby's car from a top American store Luxury Kids Car Club on IG-and other expensive shoppings reserved only for the super-rich class.

Expectedly, the Logico's never ending financial needs has practically ruined Temidayo's finances. Even after using is connection to secure a Job for Diana’s elder sister (Divine Logico worth over 300k monthly, official car and official apartment in Lekki, as the GM Shores Hotel.

He is said to be in a financial mess at the moment with large debt of drinks he used for the wedding and other lending institutions (such as Ren Money etc)

Recently, things took a dramatic turn when Temidayo stopped buying Mrs. Edwina Logico insulin. After failed attempt by Diana Faith Logico to pressurize Temidayo to set up a multi-million naira business for her. She started pushing Temidayo to borrow money from his rich friends and family members on a chat via WhatsApp. She also advised that Temidayo go into fraud to sustain her fake lifestyle but Temidayo declined such advise.

The Logico Family’s (Diana Faith Logico and Mrs. Edwina Logico have resorted to blackmail in the media to drag Temidayo's reputation through the mud. Surprisingly, despite the pending investigation at Zone 2, Onikan in the early hours of the Sallah holidays on Thursday, the 30th day of July 2020, Mrs. Edwina Logico and Diana Faith Logico laid siege at his house with (5 to 7) fiercely looking heavily armed Mobile Police men from the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department Panti, Yaba, Lagos State and 3 Female Squard of Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team (DSVRT) plus Diana Faith Logico and her Mother to forcefully apprehend him. It took the timely intervention and entreaties of his high profile Neigbor’s , and one of the serving AIG who informed the police officers that the matter is already pending before the Honourable Court at the Lagos State High Court in SUIT NO: LD/10159MFHR/2020 and subject of on-going investigation at the office of the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 2, Onikan, Lagos, before the officers left Temidayo

The one sided coordinator of Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team (DSVRT), Mrs Tolulope Rodes - Vivour Adeniyi without carrying out any investigation on Temidayo - placed a call to Temidayo’s work place through the help of his estranged wife and manipulative mother in-law in a bid to get him fired on the 27th of July 2020. Reporting Temidayo’s to his boss, without sending any prior messages to Temidayo or requesting for a meeting.

Temidayo personally contacted the agency and sent a recorded voice note of what transpired between himself and the wife to the Agency and thereafter introduced himself “Good Evening, my name is Temidayo L. Kafaru - my colleague sent your number that you have been trying to reach me In respect to Diana and her Mother”

They later agreed on a date to meet, unfortunately Temidayo’s lawyer requested for another convenient date. a message was sent to (DSVRT) But Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team (DSVRT) cordinator called Temidayo and said in “YOU ARE PROVING STUBBORN YOU WILL SEE”. Swiftly, The next day came for Temidayo’s arrest.

Diana Faith Logico and her Mother Edwina Logico stormed Temidayo's residence in a gangster-like manner and humiliated him right in his own house. The mother asked Diana to pack her remaining property’s to her mothers house.

Diana unplugged and wiped the CCTV camera in Temidayo’s house Not only did they carted away his international passport and other important documents.

He was also physically assaulted by both Diana and her mother. And that wasn't all, they had emptied his upstairs apartment prior. But they claimed Temidayo gave them with his clear eyes. 2hs Power AC in the kitchen, 1.5 hs Power AC in his guest room. 55 inches LG Led smart TV, Samsun blue ray set dvd, complete furniture, 6 x 6 Bed, Samsung Refrigerator, Carpet worth over 500k, Centre table, Fancy bed side lamp, International Passport, all his traveling bags, and few documents.

Diana's mother who is also known for name dropping the renowned Oba of Benin where she claimed to be a member of the royal family (EWEKA) tried to use police intimidation unsuccessfully. In partnership with the Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team (DSVRT) Cordinator. they have tried to prosecute and victimized Temidayo in retaliation for their failed financial schemes.

sometime in March 2020, when he was arrested by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ajiwe Police Station, Ajah, Lagos State based on trumped-up charges of assault levelled against him by Diana Faith Logico under the instigation of her mother Mrs. Edwina Logico in that Temidayo refused to accept their excessive monetary demands and his insistence that his Mother-in-Law must give them space in their marriage, resulted to what was called an insult to the Royal princess Edwina Logico of the great Benin Kingdom. She then demanded Giant RAM, 20 Tubers of Yam, Vegetable Oil, Two Cartons of Red or white wine, and Uncle Bens or Basmati rice for advising his wife against third party interference.

Thankfully, the Zone 2 police station team in charge of the case did their job brilliantly. And through the intervention of the Assistant Inspector-General(AIG) and office of the Inspector-General(IG) they were able to intervene, which stopped Mrs Edwina Logico.

The messy divorce which is warming up to be dirtiest in a long while might get more interesting in coming days as Temidayo is questioning the paternity of the only product of the doomed marriage. Why? Diana in a bid of Defamation of Temidayos character, alleged Temidayo for molesting his child of 4 months old- Hence, Temidayo raises so much doubt, that no matter what, no mother in her right senses will fabricate such lies on a true father to a son that she claimed she loves. While Diana who has vowed to deal with Temidayo, they are busy working tirelessly to ensure his downfall by whatever means. Now parading their house help around, saying Temidayo said he will be paying the girl 25,000 naira anytime he touches her breast. Very Laughable, and the new one now that Temidayo Raped the girl twice. This was a girl that claimed she was going back to the North and Mrs Edwina Logico asked Temidayo to pay her off. Temidayo paid, few weeks later, house help has resumed work with Mrs Edwina Logico. What a master schemed.

With a reputation for gold digging, the controversial mother in-law was alleged to be the mastermind of her first daughter, Toyin's crashed marriage. Stories abound of how she framed up her first son in-law on some baseless fraud allegations that eventually landed the poor man by name Chris in Kirikiri all because he couldn't keep up with her financial expectations.

Her second daughter's Fiance and husband to-be suffered the same fate. The young man said to be a banker was harassed and chased almost to death with various allegations from the bank after an encounter with his supposed mother in-law to-be. Sources claimed Edwina was infuriated because the young man wasn't financially stable enough as a banker for her high taste. Alleged him of duping them of their Rent. The third victim of Edwina's evil schemes is Temidayo who narrowly escaped being docked in prison courtesy of baseless allegations levelled against him such as, Forcing Diana to have Anal Sex, Beating Diana Countlessly, Molesting their son. Diana Faith Logico, the estranged wife of Temidayo was also said to be in the habit of incurring debts. One of such embarrassing debts was when she bought expensive jewelries with her Mother worth over 850,000 from one Kenneth Anaele which she has refused to pay and kept away from her supposed husband. Temidayo later sold his Range Rover to car 45 Lekki to sustain Diana Faith Logico and Mrs Edwina Logico heavy financial demand and 20 percent of the money was used in paying for makeup debt owed by diana and she has vowed to completely finish Temidayo with the support of her mother.
She has in the last few months of her marriage to Temidayo, set him back financially, emotionally and mentally.

Temidayo’s was majorly depressed that he attempted suicide twice, If not for his supportive Family, Friends and Colleagues who talked him out of the severe depression he wouldn’t be here.

According to sources, her mother who claims to be from royalty in Benin Kingdom is the mastermind of her daughter's disgraceful lifestyle. Same woman who was selling Snail, Plantain and Yam, when they had no one to help them.

On Oct 9, 2011, A similar incident occurred with the Logico’s Family as masterminded again by the same Mrs Edwina Logico. One of the victims of the family's marriage racketeering is one of Nigeria's famous presenter, of Naija Top 10 music countdown fame Deji Falope. The young man was lucky to barely survive from his relationship with the Logicos. Not only was his blossoming career in entertainment successfully ended by the endless trouble of Mrs. Edwina Logico , he was lucky to leave with his senses and reputation intact in the aftermath of his ordeal in the hands of the well-organized criminal syndicate known as Logico family. A search on Google (Mrs Edwina Logico and Deji Falope brought all of this up

They are at it again but this time it seems they have met their match. Typical of a manipulative family, they are fighting tooth and nail, playing the victim card in an attempt to discredit their latest victim who is yet to recover from the trauma , debt of the doomed marriage to the Logicos.

Business / Farmboy.ng - Cattle Fattening Investment And Smart Agripreneurship by Oshoboy01: 11:49am On Sep 12, 2020
FARMBOY.NG - CATTLE FATTENING INVESTMENT AND SMART AGRIPRENEURSHIP

There is emerging evidence of increase in the price of food stuff and a continuous rise in the cost of crop and animal production. There are three major factors interplaying, which firstly is the increase in human population. The larger the population growth rate, the larger the demand for food and animal protein. Secondly, the purchasing power of an average Nigeria per state varies, hence states with an averagely higher income will have more demand for animal protein of which cattle is the highest. Thirdly the urban dwellers can buy animal protein in bulk and store in freezers giving sellers bulk money within a short time frame, to expand their cattle business .

Cattle fattening gives a more premium quality meat to meet this rise in demand for protein by house holds and for festivities. This style of livestock production practice reduces animal movement and long treks, so as to build up more meat quickly. Also when the cattle is larger the value is higher and can be sold for more money in the market.

In the last 38 years from 1974 to 2012, the Nigerian population has grown by more than 100 million. Nigeria has the largest population in Africa, and it is growing at 3.2% a year. The U.S. Census Bureau says that at that rate, there will be an estimated 402 million people in Nigeria in 2050. Hence there will be continued increase in the demand for animal protein.

The application of smart agripreneurship ideas inclusive of nutrient cycling has to be embraced as an essential part of the economic and social sustainability of agriculture and cattle fattening. The waste from the cattle’s used and mixed as organic fertilizers and manure, while the waste from crops are fed as a cheap source of feed for the cattle.

The smart agripreneur is climate conscious and looks to achieve crop-livestock systems in which nutrients are cycled to increase overall farm output. As cities expand to accommodate our growing population, there will be increased demand for meat and traditional grazing won’t be sustainable.

The House Of Assembly candidate who contested under the platform of Labour Party in the last election in Ogun State honorable igbalaye Wasiu Ayodele (IWA), has doles out cash and sewing machines to his people yesterday as a way to contribute to the growth of his constituency.

Igbalaye has identified the high rate of unemployment as major factors responsible for insecurity in the country.

Celebrities / BBNAIJA : Erica Might Be Disqualified Soon (SEE REASONS) by Oshoboy01: 9:57am On Sep 06, 2020
By Osho Oluwatosin

As Big Brother Naija Lockdown Edition moves towards an end, several revelations and crisis keeps on popping up. The show has also been feeding viewers with surprise evictions.

One of the most talked about housemate is Erica, people have been talking about her since the beginning of the show till this moment, however, it seems she may have an unhappy ending in the house and might probably get evicted, judging by the recent attitude she has put up.

Who knows? Erica might even be the next Tacha who was very popular but due to her character in the house, was disqualified when she was close to winning.

Erica has proven in several ways that she is walking in the path of Tacha, it is worthy of being noted that some weeks ago, she was given two strikes by Biggie for misconduct, and of course, a last strike and warning would lead to disqualification or eviction for her.

As if those were not enough, last night, after the normal weekend party in the house, hell was let loose when Erica suddenly attacked Laycon, the most talked about housemate on the show and called him several insulting names.

All efforts to calm her down proved aborting as her ‘entanglement’, Kiddwaya, and Prince were seen talking to her but it appears she was too intoxicated to listen to them.

She referred to Laycon as a ‘Fucking Idiot’ for alleging that she tried to kiss him, though in her words, she confessed that she tried to kiss him once, which further confirms Laycon’s accusation against her some weeks ago.

She was also caught saying she would have killed Laycon if not for Big brother house.

Apart from that, as the head of the house, she stopped her deputy, Prince from sleeping in the HOH room.
According to the rules of the house, threat attracts immediate disqualification.

‘Rule G
Housemates are not allowed to strike, intimidate, threaten, or act in any way that can be construed as violent towards any fellow Housemates. This could result in immediate disqualification’’

With this, it appears Erica would not survive disqualification, today being the eviction day.

Sports / Messi Takes Tb Joshua’s Advice, Decides To Stay In Barcelona by Oshoboy01: 10:27pm On Sep 04, 2020
Two days after Nigerian Prophet TB Joshua’s “candid advice” to Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi to reconsider his move from Barcelona, the Argentinian has remarkably reversed his decision and agreed to stay at the Catalan club for an extra year.

Joshua had taken to social media on Wednesday 2nd September 2020 to advise Messi on the dangers of leaving Barcelona with bitterness.

“It is not good advice for Lionel Messi to leave Barcelona bitter and offended,” the cleric began. “It is impossible to establish a healthy relationship with a person who left a previous relationship bitter and offended. This is my candid advice to Messi. History is our boss.”

When Joshua’s message was released, all indications still suggested Messi’s imminent exit with details of a huge deal lined up with Manchester City already being circulated online.

Before a meeting with Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu, Messi’s father Jorge had unequivocally stated, “My son is not staying at Barcelona!”

However, the day after Joshua’s advice, Jorge curtly told Spanish media that his son was reconsidering his move and there was a possibility of him staying.

Messi, the most successful player in the club’s history and regarded by many as the world’s best footballer, submitted his intentions to leave the club after a lackluster season at Barcelona and an alleged fallout with the hierarchy.

Then on Friday 4th September 2020, Messi himself granted an exclusive interview to Goal.com where he admitted he had been planning to leave Barcelona throughout the year but decided to rescind his decision as he “didn’t want to fight against the club.”

"I'm now staying because the president told me that the only way I could leave was by paying the €700m release clause, which is impossible,” he explained.
When asked whether he planned on taking the club to court, Messi responded, "I'd never take Barca to trial because it's the club I love and that's given me everything since I joined.”

His announcement lays to rest an intense transfer saga which captured the attention of the world, considering the fact most people believed he would end his career at Barcelona.

He is now expected to join training sessions under new boss Ronald Koeman in preparation for the incoming season.

Politics / Saraki, Fayemi, Dapo Abiodun Throw Weight Behind Compendium On Foremost Nigerian by Oshoboy01: 11:15am On Sep 04, 2020
Nigeria @60: Saraki, Fayemi, Dapo Abiodun Throw Weight Behind Compendium On Foremost Nigerians

Amiable former Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, and Governors Kayode Fayemi and Dapo Abiodun of Ekiti and Ogun States respectively have thrown their weight behind the trans-generational compendium to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Nigeria.

The book, entitled Nigeria @60: Foremost Nigerians of the Last 60years; is written by former Society Editor of Thisday, Lanre Alfred. It will hit bookshelves across the nation and beyond in the first week of October.

In his Prologue entitled‘Enriching the History of a Giant’, Senator Saraki espouses Nigeria’s greatness which he agrees had been tested in several ways.

“This book “Nigeria @60: Foremost Nigerians in the Last 60 Years” by Lanre Alfred, a journalist with many years experience, is definitely going to add fresh pages to the body of literature and biographical work on this great country.

“As someone who loves reading biographies, the author’s decision to tell the Nigerian story through the account of the contributions and achievements of selected citizens remains interesting and another attraction for me.

“This unique attempt at recounting our national history also seeks to put on display the roles of the selected players in national development over the years. It also presents a challenge for those key players, who are alive to strive to improve on their roles while also giving the rest of the citizenry the opportunity to honestly and genuinely assess the account and the roles it ascribes to these individuals.”

Interestingly, Saraki adds that Nigeria has been the country whose huge resources and dynamic, resourceful, creative, ebullient and hard-working people represent the hope of the black man to stand on an even dais with the most developed part of the world.

“She is the country that has carried the burden of the rest of Africa during difficult times as she did during the period of the apartheid system in South Africa and the liberation struggles in other parts of Southern Africa,” he states.

Saraki adds that though Nigeria might not have fully fulfilled the aspirations of her citizens and the rest of the world, she has continued to play a major role in stabilizing her region and the continent at large. Thus, he says he welcomes any attempt to give a good account of Nigeria’s existence as an independent country in the last six decades.

The former two-term governor of Kwara State concludes that Nigeria will overcome her challenges and fulfil her manifest destiny because there are several ways of leading Nigeria out of the woods; “One way is the one Lanre Alfred has taken with this book; celebrating the nation’s birthday through a revisit of the role of some of the key players.”

In the Foreword,Dr. Kayode Fayemi, the Ekiti State governor, writes that Nigeria is an amazing story and an evolving power whose destiny is far beyond the convulsive spasm that often diminishes the narrative of her undeniable glory.

“This lesson is what has attracted the intellectual lens of Lanre Alfred in this insightful book. He takes us through an undulating labyrinth of the Nigerian story and points our attention to the mesh of our socio-cultural plurality, which ultimately makes ours a complex political experiment.

“He depicts the nation’s foundational challenge as that of a sailing mission without a rudder and a flying expedition without a compass. For it was clear that, at independence, there was no consensus around vision, purpose and strategy for the actualisation of the nation’s dream.”

Like Saraki, Governor Fayemi concurs that the irony of the Nigeria story is that while her inadequacies are apparent to all, her progress is difficult to ignore either.

“And this is the reality, which many critics and commentators have failed to factor into their evaluation of the nation’s trajectory. One of the ways to appreciate this progress might be to focus on the contribution of many compatriots, who have invested their God-given talent and creativity for the progress of the nation in the different segments of our national life,” he says.

Governor Fayemi says he is satisfied with Alfred’s optimistic approach to the appreciation of Nigeria because, “He has elected to gauge our progress in terms of verifiable and invaluable contributions of some individuals, who have greatly impacted the nation and whose contributions to her development since independence, are of immense significance.

“This approach is not only a commendable reward system; it is also an effective story-telling strategy that properly situates the nation’s milestones around the exploits of her heroes and heroines. To suggest that Nigeria has not made progress is to declare that the works of her heroes and heroines are in vain. It is to assume that, generally, nonentities had led the nation in politics, business, culture, religion and leadership!”

He also commends the efforts that went into putting the book together, saying, “Alfred has launched his fecund mind into a fertile territory that many people would have ignored. It is another demonstration of his depth, prodigious intellect and mastery of the nation’s story as a social commentator and chronicler. He has taught us a new lesson that nation-building is a collective responsibility and that a nation’s prosperity is the aggregation of the industry and prosperity of her citizens.”

In a correspondence with the author, Governor Abiodun of Ogun State lauded the ingenuity of the book while praising the writing proficiency of Alfred who he said has evolved as not just a reporter but a redoubtable historian.

Abiodun stated that he would gladly recommend the book for reading across a broad spectrum of the society because “of its depth and richness and the fact that it makes for easy and compelling reading.

He continued, “This book is a storehouse of information about the people that made and are making Nigeria great. History well told is beautiful. Many of the historians who most appeal to the general reading public know the importance of dramatic and skilful writing as well as of accuracy and this is where Alfred has excelled with this book.”

However, the book is dedicated to Globacom chairman, Dr Mike Adenuga Jnr, as homage to his humanity and relentless strides at rewriting the African business narrative; for standing tall and wading through odds with the courage of a knight and confidence of a champion. Interestingly, in the midst of the doom and gloom, the pervasive fear of the Corona-Virus pandemic, and the flagging faith of Nigerians per their survival , the chairman of Globacom Limited, raised hopes and planted joy in the bosoms of Nigerians.

His huge donations to the Federal Government of Nigeria and several state governments play a huge role in containing the ravaging virus.

Alfred’s new book, which attempts to profile the trajectories of Nigeria’s heroes past and present, is the latest in a burgeoning corpus that includes the popular coffee table books; Titans…The Amazing Exploits of Nigeria’s Greatest Achievers; and Highlife – Lifestyles of Nigeria’s Rich and Famous; and biographies like Pacemaker – Triumphs of Igho Sanomi at 40; The Lion of Afia Nsit – Triumphs of Scott Tommey at 45; Julius Rone…The Jewel of the Delta; and Dapo Abiodun…The Heart of Prince.

Business / Ghanaian Banks Commence GH QR Code Deployment by Oshoboy01: 10:57am On Sep 04, 2020
Ghanaian Banks Commence GH QR Code Deployment

Six banks in Ghana have initiated services to allow the public pay for goods and services through the universal Gh QR code.

The banks are Ecobank, GCB Bank, Zenith Bank, Bank of Africa, Fidelity Bank and Agriculture Development Bank. The remaining banks are still in the process to enable them begin the rollout.

The Vice President, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia launched the universal QR code in March this year. The service adds on to the plethora of electronic payment solutions that the Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems (GhIPSS) has rolled out over the years.

With the QR code, customers only need to scan the codes displayed at various shops and other outlets with their smartphones to make payment. Those who do not have smart phones can pay with their feature phones by dialling a code that will also be displayed at the merchant’s location. QR code is cheap and easy to set up. It is also a quick and secure way to make payment.

It takes away the direct contact associated with cash transactions, which makes it safer to use during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Ecobank had earlier deplored QR codes but could only be used by their customers. However with the introduction of the Gh QR code, Ecobank has converted most of their existing QR codes of clients, to make them acceptable to all customers regardless of their banks. The other five banks have begun deploying their Gh QR codes at various outlets.

Chief Executive of GhIPSS Mr. Archie Hesse commended the banks that have started deployment and encouraged businesses to liaise with banks to have the Gh QR code installed to increase their payment options to customers. Mr. Hesse also challenged the remaining banks to quicken up the processes, as they risk losing their clients to other banks.

The QR code for payment is simple to set up as it only involves generating unique QR codes which can be a mere sticker posted on the wall of the shops or on a small stand.

“Once you find the QR Code displayed, you just have to scan and you pay or dial the USSD code and pay, it is that convenient. Gh QR is universal so anyone can use any of them, regardless of your bank”, Mr. Hesse stressed.

A wide range of businesses including taxi drivers, small shops, super markets, pharmacies, chop bars, restaurants as well as major service providers can all use QR codes to accept payments, the GhIPSS Boss noted.

Ghana’s payment system has been modernised with the introduction of many electronic payment solutions that have made payment a lot more convenient, secure and faster.

The addition of the Gh QR code has increased the choice that customers have to pay for goods and services. This will eliminate the several instances where businesses lose out, because the customer has run out of cash.

Currently customers can pay from either their bank account or mobile money wallet through different channels such as MoMo pay, POS and now Gh QR code among others.

Politics / Tunde Bilitiri Urges Nigerians To Support Service Chiefs by Oshoboy01: 10:41pm On Sep 03, 2020
A lot of people are calling for the sack of the service chiefs but have we asked ourselves a question what is the cause of Insurgency, crime and a whole lot.

The major reason alot of people take to crime is due to lack of employment, Oppression, Intimidation and until we find solutions to this problems we are going to continue blaming who ever is in charge.

One major issue affecting our country is bribery and corruption and it is one of the reason our country is facing various challenges. Nigeria is blessed with alot of brilliant officers who are diligently fighting Insurgency and other banditry.

Every day and night they are combing various forests trying to flush out militias and protecting our sovereignty.

Few days ago the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, donated a three-bedroom flat to an 85-year-old retired staff sergeant of the Nigerian Army, Paul Ojo, who was forcefully evicted from his residence by the police and officials of the Kaduna State Government.

He should be commended for his kind Gestures and also supports him with prayers.

Religion / Joshua Iginla Spits Fire On CAMA, Describes Law As Coup Against Christianity by Oshoboy01: 7:18am On Aug 28, 2020
Joshua Iginla Spits Fire On CAMA, Describes Law as Coup Against Christianity ( video)

The General Overseer of Champions Royal Assembly, Brother Joshua Iginla has reacted to the Company Acts And Allied Matters (CAMA) bill signed into law by the President Of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari some weeks ago.’

Under the law, religious bodies, and charity organisations will be strictly regulated by the registrar-general of Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and a supervising minister.

Section 839 (1) and (2) of the CAMA law provides that the commission may by order, suspend the trustees of an association or a religious body and appoint an interim manager or managers to coordinate its affairs where it reasonably believes that there has been any misconduct or mismanagement, or where the affairs of the association are being run fraudulently or where it is necessary or desirable for the purpose of public interest.

While reacting to this development, Iginla blamed some church leaders for creating division in Christianity, hereby allowing the government to trample on churches without fear.

He lambasted them for having unnecessary doctrinal argument when there are other issues to deal with

‘One of the reasons the body of Christ in Nigeria is having problem is because we don’t know our capacity. We have lost focus and spent time having doctrinal argument. We are the light of Nigeria.

If we want to ensure that a Christian becomes the president of this country, we have the capacity but we are so self-centered and divided that we are running to people that should be running to us, everything doesn’t end in prayer, there are things we don’t need prayer for in Nigeria. We have the capacity to strengthen things but the church has lost her tastes. We are in days when we no longer attack the devil but ourselves.

The reason people from other religion will continue to do better is because they understand their capacity.

If as a Christian leader, you are corrupt or found wanting, you should be dealt with but I disagree that someone will propound a law into a spiritual entity. Its because the church is asleep. Last year, I prophecied that the church will face persecution because the church is asleep’

Also, Iginla made his stand known on the CAMA law, explaining that the law is a coup against Christianity and that some pastors are ready to die to prevent the law from being implemented on churches.

He maintained that the church was built by the labour of pastors and appointment of trustees who know nothing about the growth of the church, the affairs of the church is highly condemnable

‘’Do you know what it took some of us to labor to grow a church up to this level and someone will say he will appoint a trustee over the Church. You don’t even know how the church came about. If a pastor is corrupt, let him face the law and go to jail but appointing a trustee? Some of us are ready to die before you do that to us, it is absolutely wrong.

Do you know why it is happening like this? Because the church isn’t feared.

How do you make a law for the church? You change the trustee and put your own trustees? When has some organization become a spiritual entity? Are you about to preach, do deliverance, in what capacity will you control the church? Make laws that prevent men of God from being corrupt and if they are corrupt, take them to court but putting your trustees is a coup against the church’’

Furthermore, He advised the government to divert its attention and energy into fight against corruption in the government

‘Sometime I laugh. Thank God for this government and what they are doing, but I must say their energy must be channeled on the right thing. Those who have looted our money and sent our children to live in penury, those governors that have embezzled money should be sent to jail. Its only in my country that those who are fighting corruption are even corrupt. Money that was spent on Covid-19 , how many got it? Those who are in charge should be sent to jail. Leave the church alone. We are not government. If any pastor is found looting with the government, send him to jail but hunting the church is the last place of priority in the fight against corruption.

The government should intensify efforts against those ones. These are people we should use as scapegoats. I am not saying they should not look into the church, look into it but appointing a trustee in the church is wrong. If anyone is appointed to take my sit in my church, except the Lord hasn’t anointed me, He or she will not live to see the next seven days’’.

Politics / Obasa Charges APC Chieftains On Unity Ahead 2023 by Oshoboy01: 2:31pm On Aug 25, 2020
The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Mudashiru Obasa, has urged leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos to continue to maintain unity within the party.
According to Obasa, only through unity can the party sustain its leading roles and victories in elections in the state and Nigeria.

Speaking when he received APC chairmen in all the 57 local government and council development areas of the state at the Assembly complex in Lagos, Obasa, who is also the chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, appealed to the politicians to always maintain cordial relationships, work in the interest of the party and avoid deviation as a result of the quest for personal gains.

Speaking on behalf of the visiting party chairmen, Prince Abiodun Abu, commended the Speaker for the audience and for constantly thinking of the best ways to help the state progress.
Abu noted that the APC chairmen would be happier if they are given more roles to play in the development of the state, which, they agreed, had become of enviable standards as a result of the activities of the House of Assembly as well and its unity with the executive arm of government.

In his response, Speaker Obasa said the party, its elected and appointed officials are aware of the sacrifice the chairmen have made over time for the success of the APC.

While promising that the House would work with the executive arm on the requests made by the party chairmen, Obasa reminded the visiting chieftains that the Lagos State operates in line with legal and constitutional provisions which should also be looked at.

Lawmakers who were at the meeting include the Deputy Speaker of the House, Hon. Wasiu Sanni-Eshinloku.
Honourables Temitope Adewale, Sylvester Ogunkelu, Kehinde Joseph, and Sanni Okanlanwo were also at the meeting.

Religion / 10,000 Prophecies Of Primate Ayodele Fulfilled by Oshoboy01: 11:06am On Aug 24, 2020
Primate Ayodele Sets World Record, Launches Compendium Of 10,000 Fulfilled Prophecies
- Releases Warning To The Nations 2020/2021 Edition

The leader of INRI Evangelical spiritual church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has set a huge world record with the simultaneous release of a compendium of more than 10,000 fulfilled prophecies and the 2020/2021 edition of his annual book of prophecy titled ‘Warning to the nations’.

The event which held on Saturday, 22nd of August, 2020 in his Lagos church had dignitaries from different walks of life in attendance, it also had several media practitioners who graced the record breaking launch.

The compendium contains 10,000 fulfilled prophecies of the man of God from 1994 till date while the newly released 2020/2021 Edition of the
Warning to the nations is a 376-paged book that contains divine revelations, warning, prophecies to Nations, world leaders, corporate organizations, individuals, to mention a few.

Also, the 2020/2021 Edition of WTNs is the 26th edition, which according to many, has served as a divine guidance to countries, Presidents, individuals, organizations, since its inception.

Some of the highlights of the warnings to the nations include prayers against loss of a Saudi Arabian prince, the removal of the President of Guinea, Outbreak of diseases and attacks in Sri Lanka, Monarchical problem in Spain, Problems between America and China, Hidden secrets being exposed in Nigeria Presidential Villa, Break in Nigeria, to mention a few.

While addressing the attendees, Primate Elijah Ayodele expressed gratitude to God for his continued support, strength and divine prophecies since the beginning of his ministry up till the present moment.

He explained that the release of a compendium of 10,000 fulfilled prophecies and the 26th edition of his annual book of prophecy was as a result of divine instructions from God.

‘The release of this books wasn’t borne out of my wish to show off some of my prophecies that have come to pass, it was as a result of divine instructions by God. I have been releasing ‘Warning to all Nations’ since 1994 to God’s glory and it was just an instruction I received from God.
I thank God for his faithfulness to my prophetic ministry, it’s not an easy task to have more than 10,000 prophecies fulfilled, I return all glory to God almighty’.

Furthermore, Primate Ayodele explained that warnings are meant to give individuals, nations, organizations a preview of what lies ahead of them, making it known that whenever such arises, precautions and prayers are the things needed to do.

‘As a prophet, you are required to tell people what is ahead of them because you can see beyond them as a spiritual person. Whenever you see a challenge and you tell them about it, what is required of them is take spiritual precautions and prayers.

Warnings are not to scare them, they are not to make them feel uncomfortable, they serve as an exposition of what they haven’t seen, hence, the need to take them serious

It’s unfortunate that some people don’t take the words of true prophets serious, this is also why unpalatable happenings occur, people don’t heed to warnings, which is sincerely wrong’.

It is worthy of being noted that some warnings in WTNs 2020/2021 have started coming to pass. Some of them include the Fire incident in Ooni of Ife’s palace (Pg 106), the removal of Mali’s President (Pg 162), the current unrest in Belarus (Pg 126), to mention a few.

Although the official launch was on Saturday, 22nd Of August, information revealed that it had been published months ago but due to the restrictions on gatherings, the launching was delayed.

No doubt, Primate Elijah Ayodele has proven severally that his ministry is one of its kind judging by the rate of record-breaking heights he has attained.

Religion / COVID-19: Can Global Prayers Change 2020 Calamities? by Oshoboy01: 12:34pm On Aug 23, 2020
The WHO Endorsed Prophet TB Joshua to Pray for COVID-19 Infected Patients

by Faith Sanyu

Everyone is talking about the new normal, but does that mean that COVID-19 has come to stay? We are past mid-2020, and things are not getting any better. The 2020 calamities have disillusioned people of all calibers. More so, many people have lost their lives and loved ones to the dreaded COVID-19 disease. Several people have lost their jobs. Others still have their jobs intact but have not been paid since this pandemic struck their countries. Employers can not pay workers for no work done. Have you wondered how these people are surviving? Imagine the breadwinners of extended families, COVID-19 is a rope around their necks, and no wonder, suicide death tolls have hiked this year. All the time, the western countries announce hope of a COVID-19 vaccine, which always seems to hit rock-bottom.

If they have exhausted all options, should we say we are doomed? Maybe there is something the world is not doing. A collective human effort to save our world from perishing might be what we need.
What Have Religious Leaders Done to Fight COVID-19?

Prayers are ongoing throughout the world, and probably that’s the way this pandemic will end. Scientists have tried several vaccines, and nothing seems to work. Speak of the floods in the UK, Sudan, North Korea, Uganda among other countries, the hurricanes in Australia and the US, the locusts in the Arabic countries and Eastern Africa, the increasing Bubonic, Ebola, and Cholera plagues in China, Uganda, Congo among others are all 2020 calamities. The recurring political and geographical strife in Mali, Libya, India, and China, Taiwan, Lebanon, Hong Kong, to mention but a few don’t seem to end.

Humans require a higher power to fight off these calamities. Throughout the face of global struggles, many empower and improve themselves to endure and succeed through the efficacy of prayer. World religious leaders have taken upon themselves the initiative to seek God in these turbulent days. Many church leaders have formed platforms to enable global prayers to fight the pandemic that has caused the comprehensive financial breakdown.

For instance, Global Prayer Works 2020, the Virtual Prayer Summit, gathered over 100,000 believers worldwide in a life-changing prayer that lasted from 20 to 22 August 2020 under the theme “Rising Above This Moment Through Effectual Prayer.” It featured live constant prayers in different languages, with guests across the globe, including India, the UK, the US, Nigeria, and Ghana. Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, Apostle of Strategic Prayer, led this project. Benita Francis from India and Ezekiah offered people the motivation to go to the next step of their lives and resolve
obstacles.

The WHO Speaks on TB Joshua’s COVID-19 Miracles!!

The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) led by the general overseer, Prophet TB Joshua in Nigeria, was endorsed by the WHO (The World Health Organization) to pray for the COVID-19 affected patients in different isolation centers on the globe. The most famous was when he prayed for patients in the Honduras COVID-19 Isolation Center. The prayers are done virtually on Zoom, live on Emmanuel TV founded by TB Joshua. TB Joshua and other prophets at SCOAN are praying for people around the world who have previously tested positive for COVID-19. Later, they return to testify with negative results free from COVID-19.

Dr. Tedros, the director of WHO, said, “We advise religious leaders to follow their faith and at the same time use signs.”
He encouraged COVID-19 positive patients to follow their faith but continue taking medicine. Dr. Tedros furthermore said that the two do not contradict, they work together. He, therefore, called all the religious leaders to be in this fight and save lives.
It is a digital era; thus, all religious denominational leaders should take the front line in fighting this pandemic and help encourage those afflicted by this disease. Religious leaders can motivate and impact the lives of many people through these prayer sessions on platforms like Zoom, Skype, and GoogleMeet, among others. This will drive out the fear that Coronavirus has struck at the hearts of people all over the world. It is time to rethink about God. Without Him, the new normal might not be normal, after all.

In what seems to be the most fearful prophecy of the year, Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical spiritual church has called on the attention of the governor of Imo state, Hope Uzodinma to get prepared for a tough time as he made it known that He sees the supreme court judgment that made him Governor of the state being reviewed and reversed.

He explained that he doesn’t know how it will happen but the governor needs to act immediately to prevent the unthinkable from happening.

‘’ There will be a review of the Supreme Court judgment that put Hope Uzodimna as Imo governor. He must not relent so that he will not see challenges.

I don’t know how it will happen but that is what I saw. I saw the judgment being challenged, reviewed and reversed.

Hope Uzodinma should be careful because something funny may happen. He should get prepared for review of the Supreme Court judgment’’

It would be recalled that Governor Hope Uzodinma was declared as winner of Imo state election by the Supreme Court after Emeka Ihedioha of the People Democratic Party (PDP) was sacked by the same court.

Primate Elijah Ayodele has been a major voice in the political affairs of nations, giving spiritual guidance and directions to leaders of nations.

He has been described as the most accurate prophet in Africa by many judging by the bulk of his prophecies and warnings that have come to pass.

Religion / Nigerians Recall TB Joshua Prophecy To David Lyon As Bayelsa Election Nullified by Oshoboy01: 4:13pm On Aug 17, 2020
With the news of the Bayelsa State Governorship Election Petition nullifying the election of Governor Diri and ordering a fresh one within 90 days, Nigerians on social media have been quick to recall the ‘prophecy’ given to APC’s candidate David Lyon by TB Joshua.

“When Prophet TB Joshua asked David Lyon to wait until after his inauguration before he gives his testimony of his victory in the Bayelsa Election in 2019, I know there was going to be some drama before his inauguration... As we speak, fresh elections are possible in Bayelsa,” wrote Olupitan Oluwamuyiwa on Twitter.

“Please who can quote the words from Senior Prophet T.B Joshua to David Lyon for me,” commented Bayefa Emomotimi on Facebook in the light of the news. “TB Joshua’s words are coming to pass,” added Tega Mike also on Facebook.

After Lyon’s initial landslide victory in the gubernatorial election in Bayelsa, he visited Joshua’s church for a ‘thanksgiving service’ only to be told by Joshua it was too early to share his testimony.

“For your information, this is not the time for testimony; this will come after his inauguration,” Joshua cryptically commented in the service on December 1st 2019.

“The only way Bayelsa people will believe that he is the one they voted for is for him to meet the expectation of the Bayelsa people,” the cleric further counselled.

“It is better to live poorly upon the fruit of God’s goodness than to live to plentifully upon the product of our own sin. Listen to the voice of wisdom but also make use of your brain,” he concluded.

When Lyon’s victory was controversially rescinded on the eve of his inauguration due to discrepancies in his deputy’s paperwork, Joshua’s message surfaced on social media again, with many onlookers believing his message was warning Lyon of the impending trouble.

The news that fresh elections are to be held in Bayelsa suggest the possibility Joshua’s words may indeed find fulfilment given the continued popularity of Lyon in the region.

Celebrities / Yahaya Sharif: Primate Ayodele Further Speaks, Appeals To Sultan To Intervene by Oshoboy01: 8:39pm On Aug 16, 2020
Primate Ayodele has further spoken about the death sentence given to Kano singer, Yahaya Sharif after he warned against killing him few days ago.

He has called on the Sultan Of Sokoto to intervene in the matter and ensure the young Nigerian isn’t killed.

He explained that he isn’t disputing the fact that he is at fault for blasphemy but death should not be a capital punishment to that.

He made it known that the Sultan of Sokoto is a man of love and that he should use his powerful office to ensure that Yahaya Sharif isn’t killed.

Also, He warned that killing him is tantamount to incurring the wrath of God, hence, justice should be tempered with mercy.

He further noted that if death punishment is being levied on such offence, then any Boko haram member caught should be immediately killed too

Similarly, Primate Ayodele urged President Buhari to speak up and make amends on the sharia laws especially the ones that has to do with execution.

‘God isn’t happy about killing Sheriff, I’m not a Muslim but I appeal to Sultan who preaches Love, and Islamic council, to use their good office to address the issue of Yahaya Sharif.

I know they have been killing several people but Yahaya Sheriff’s case is different, his death will incur God’s wrath, which won’t be good.

President Buhari should do something about Sharia Laws especially the ones that deals with execution, if execution is the punishment for an offence like this, then execution should also be the punishment to Boko haram member.

I am not disputing the fact that He committed an offence but justice should be tempered with mercy’’

Religion / Primate Ayodele Reacts To Death Sentence Given To Kano Singer by Oshoboy01: 5:59pm On Aug 14, 2020
Popular seer, Primate Elijah Ayodele has reacted to the sentence slammed against popular 22-year-old Kano singer, Yahaya Sharif.

News broke out few days ago that a sharia court in Kano has ordered that the musician be put to death by hanging for blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad in one of his songs.

In his reactions during a telephone interview, Primate Ayodele cautioned against killing of the talented youngster who is just starting his life. He explained that killing him is synonymous to spilling the blood of the innocent.

He made it known that religion preaches love and tolerance, and killing Yahaya Shariff does not follow what religion preaches.

He made reference to Boko Haram that were granted amnesty, noting that they equally deserved death because they have killed several Nigerians yet they were pardoned.

‘If they should kill that young boy, they would be spilling an innocent blood. Insurgency is one of the problems in the north, Boko haram has been killing lots of them yet when Boko Haram members were captured, they were granted amnesty, that boy has done nothing that warrant him being condemned to death.

I’m not poke nosing into their religion but I believe every religion preaches love and tolerance, if Yahaya Shariff is killed because of blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad, where is the place of religion that preaches love and tolerance?

The same tolerance employed in the case of Boko Haram insurgence should also be employed here’.

Furthermore, Primate Ayodele re-instated his solution to end insurgency in Nigeria. He has also made it known that until the service chiefs are removed, it will be impossible for insecurity to subside in the country.

Primate Ayodele had earlier prophesied months ago that he sees recession in the some parts of the world.

At the moment, countries like United Kingdom have started experiencing it. In Nigeria, the man of God said it’s going to hit very hard while calling on the government to start preparing for it.

Politics / Calm Down, Infrastructure In Lagos Is A Mess by Oshoboy01: 2:04pm On Aug 14, 2020
Lagos today has become somewhat hellish with too many infrastructure and security problems to contend with while those in governance play politics with practically everything.

Lagosians waited with bated breath and high hopes for a new lease of life, that the new dispensation led by Governor Babajide Sanwo- Olu, will herald transformation.

This is even more so when one considers the rhetoric that visited his campaign. That hope for many seems to have been extinguished as quickly as it was birthed.

In the past one year, the state has been plagued by a plethora of challenges ranging from insecurity, dilapidated roads across the length and breadth of the state, plus an archaic mode of transportation on the unmanned waterways where boat mishaps are recorded on a near-daily basis.

Even the viral video of a little boy seen pleading with his mum to calm down while he was being reprimanded for wrong doing became a political tool for relevance. With it, the governor thought it wise to jump on the trend by telling Lagosians to calm down, amid a Lagos with failed infrastructure and the attendant cost on residents.

A public analyst, Dipo Oni, could not contain his frustration with the poor Lagos Infrastructure during a chat with MoneyCentral as he noted that Life has become unbearable in the nation’s commercial capital.

“You move around the city and you are confronted by hoodlums in traffic. The area boy syndrome, coupled with the thuggery seen in parks and bus stops is now the uncomfortable norm to the extent that one wonders if the Governor is oblivious to the monsters on the road,” Oni said.

“Ikoyi and Victoria Island appear to be the only locations sheltered from this storm of hooliganism. But for how long more?”

He noted that commuters in Oshodi, Mile 2, Alakija, Okoko, Abule Egba, Iyana Ipaja, Orile, Coker, Surulere, Ajao, Ikeja, Festac, Ajegunle, and Oworonshoki on the outskirts of Lagos are smarting from the hardship inflicted by the gridlock resulting from the closure of 3rd Mainland due to ongoing repair work.

“There are reports of night time robberies executed by armed boys amid traffic gridlock and sometimes in broad light. They shatter windscreens, maim Drivers, commuters and passers-by and dispossess them of their valuables. The nightmare is best imagined”.

“The roads? Another kettle of fish! There’s an endless line of craters and articulated vehicles dominating a valuable portion of the highway on much of Apapa/Oshodi and Lagos/Badagry expressway. Another tale of sorrow for commuters who must ply that axis daily. Every now and then the Trailers and Truck which are not regulated despite existing laws guiding them, fall at will on numerous occasions causing untimely deaths with no consequence to the offenders.”

Oni, explained that, the vehicles are usually in deplorable conditions and are hardly registered or checked by the relevant agencies.

“What you see is that the authorities who should enforce the laws of road worthiness and traffic control like FRSC, VIO, LASTMA and the police allow them run dangerously on the roads as they prefer to harass passenger cars. Lagos State Government has also refused to deal with this problem decisively despite uncountable tragic incidences that has claimed many lives to date.”

He added that there was a recent visit by the governor’s representative to the mother of a promising young girl who lost her life to these daredevil trailers due to an unlatched container that claimed her live and that of her colleague while returning from work.

“A lot of promises were made during the visit to the grieving mother. Our collective wish is that all that was said and more should be done to resolve this major challenge so the gridlock and deaths caused by these death merchants be curtailed once and for all.”

Oni continued: “I tell you the sight of Lagos roads these days is an eyesore. The gridlock experienced is what makes Lagosians vulnerable to attacks. You then wonder what he was voted for. To assume the esteemed position, then come and play deaf and dumb to several SOS for a solution to the deplorable state of the so called smart city, with the battle against COVID 19 as a front for ineptitude. No, it is irresponsible to perpetually take people for a ride.”

According to Oni, the previous governor, Akinwunmi Ambode was no better as he also left the roads in a state of disrepair, while constantly blaming the rain and ignoring calls to fix Lagos.

The bad performance of these Governors has compelled a longing for the days of Babatunde Fashola, thereby making a myth out of the former Governor.

These where the days when roads were rehabilitated, new roads were constructed and ongoing projects were monitored zealously.

It might be too early to tell. Perhaps the Governor and his team could wake up from their slumber before the expiration of their remaining tenure in office.

Still this remains a tall order because the tell-tale signs of negligence of Lagos Infrastructure are there unless we see a drastic change, according to Oni.

A resident of Lagos, Segun Akanbi, lamented that, “the current Governor came in with a lot of promise, performed fairly but has now diverted focus to the fight against COVID 19 at the detriment of other aspects, especially roads.”

Investigations by MoneyCentral reporters that took a week to crisscross the megacity shows that there is almost no area in the state that is spared huge portions of bad roads, but the worst-hit locations are: Mile 2, Abule Ado, Alakija, Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway down to Ikeja Along, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Oworosoki- Oshodi Expressway, Oshodi-Apapa Expressway, Ikorodu Road, Lagos-Badagry Expressway, Funsho-Wiliams Avenue, by Costain area, which has been closed to traffic for construction work on the Costain bridge.

Others are: Kirikiri Road, Apapa, which has worsened traffic gridlock caused by truck operators who as noted earlier, have made the expressway, their parking lot. Other areas suffering similar fate are Satellite Town Road, Oriade LCDA, Otto-Wharf Boundary Road, Ajegunle, In Ajeromi- Ifelodun LGA. Chivita-Canoe Road, Oshodi-Isolo LGA, Isheri-Osun, LCDA, Ishawo, Road, Idimu Pipeline, Ikorodu, among others.

These days, it is also a dreadful experience for commuters and motorists who ply Lagos-Badagry Expressway due to several failed portions on both sides of the highway. A few weeks back this was worsened by persistent rainfall and resulting in the loss of valuable man-hours and revenue on an international route.

With the closure of the 3rd Mainland Bridge and inaccessibility of alternative roads left undone even after what amounted to a political speak by the governor, the pain has since doubled.

Analysts say the current neglect of Lagos Infrastructure is a bitter pill administered on all to curb the spread of COVID 19.

They say Government’s non-responsiveness is a demonstration of lack of vision and rather than ensure the continuance of road rehabilitation and construction during the lockdown, the State Government preferred to ignore such calls from technocrats and Nigerians.

It will be recalled that sometime in May, the governor encouraged the use of waterways. Yet the initiative has so far proved more of a publicity stunt than a serious attempt to solve the city’s chronic transportation problem aggravated by exponential population growth and flooding.

A recent study indicates that at least three of every ten years spent in Lagos is lost to traffic. It means Lagosians spend an average of seven hours 20 minutes in traffic every day.

An economic analyst, Kolapo Oluwo averred that the long hours spent daily in traffic with its attendant economic as well as health, emotional and relational costs are colossal.

“For a potential megacity and the economic hub of the country it shows ineptitude and lack lustre leadership, despite media campaigns and allusions to the contrary.”

He noted that: “Lagos is the commercial, economic, as well as financial capital of Nigeria accounting for over 50 percent of the industrial and commercial establishments, as well as 70 percent of manufacturing activities. In addition, it has the most active stock exchange in West Africa; its ports collectively handle about 75 and 90 percent of the country’s imports and non-oil exports by weight respectively. Even more, its international airport handles about 80 percent of airborne exports and imports and 80 percent of passenger movements in and out of the country.”

Oluwo Further said, “the state’s population has continued to grow rapidly – put at between six to eight percent per annum – and is a dragnet for school leavers and other economic migrants from other parts of the country. It is projected that the population of the city will grow to 36 million by 2050.”

An Economist, Emeka Ohanyere buttressed this saying despite its huge population and importance, road travel is the city’s most common and available means of transport. Rail and water transportation are meanwhile relatively under-developed in Lagos.

A $1.4 billion light rail system meant to help solve the traffic nightmare remains uncompleted 12 years after construction began.

CCECC is constructing the 27k Blue line in two phases.

The first phase includes the National Theatre to Mile 2 section and the second involves the Mile 2 to Okokomaiko section.

Construction of the Blue line was initially expected to be completed by 2011 but has been delayed indefinitely due to funding issues.

“Years of political wrangling, massive corruption underinvestment and poor maintenance of existing transport infrastructure has seen Lagos lag behind other major global cities in the utilisation of efficient public transportation system such as urban rail system and modern high capacity buses. If the state is continually run in this manner, it might never attain the lofty new Lagos it craves,” Ohanyere said.

Celebrities / #BBNAIJA: These Two Housemates Might Be Evicted On Sunday by Oshoboy01: 10:36am On Aug 13, 2020
Big brother Naija 2020 edition tagged ‘Big Brother Naija Lockdown Edition’ has been considered as one show everyone wants to see, it gets the eyes of everyone glued to it, especially in this season when work has not fully resumed due to Covid-19.

It’s a show that is fun to watch, the love, the fight, the party, the several kind of characters in people are the side attractions.

As much as it is fun to watch, there is always a particular day that always hit people hard, it is the day of eviction, it’s always a Sunday.

So far, four housemates have been evicted and their names are Katrina, Lilo, Eric and Tochi, it broke down their fans as they never thought they wouldn’t be seeing them on their screen again.

It’s a game, someone must win and someone must lose, the next eviction will be talking place again on Sunday and be rest assured that tears would flow again.

Amongst the housemates right now, according to Osho Oluwatosin, these two housemates are likely to be the ones that will be packing their bags from the house:

1 Prince : No doubt, He is very popular, he has a fine face, he is fun to be with but one day, all this would end for him in the house and that day could be Sunday.

Before you roast me, let us consider some reasons behind my position on this matter.

BBNaija is about who gives the most content, It’s about who people talk about the most, for you as a housemate to attain this, you need to get involved in several things, you need to be the talk of the town with your activities but to me, Prince doesn’t have the content to keep him in the house, He doesn’t get talked about every time unlike some other housemates.

I’m not saying for sure that he will be evicted but it’s most likely he gets evicted on Sunday.

2 Brighto: The Evangelist himself! Bright is just one funny human being in that house, he cares less about some of the happenings in that house, he just minds his business sometimes, acts as a counselor to people who come to him, though most times, his counsels end up getting people in trouble, Laycon is a living testimony.

Bright’s content don’t interest lot of people anymore, recently, Dorathy showed interest in him when they both talked about Kissing each other, this was a great content but it didn’t really live up to 24hours before it died down.

Bright might also be the one with the least vote on Sunday, How do I know? People are losing interest in him already, though his eviction isn’t for sure but It’s 70% going to happen.

Celebrities / #BBNAIJA: Five Things #laycon Needs To Do To Save Him From #erica’s ‘kayamata’ by Oshoboy01: 10:39am On Aug 11, 2020
By Osho Oluwatosin, TRIXX NG

Big brother Naija #BBNAIJA has been on the news lately because of one of the most popular housemate #Laycon whom most people, especially his non-fans have called names due to his unreturned love for another housemate, #Erica.

Laycon was Erica’s best friend initially, they were always together before Erica developed romantic feelings for another housemate #Kiddwaya.
Things started falling apart for Laycon especially because all indication show he had fallen in love with Erica who was constantly with #Kiddwaya, doing all sort of things.

It’s pretty hard for Laycon to get over it because Erica keeps coming to him, giving him hope only to return to Kiddwaya again, dashing his hopes.
The latest gist happened yesterday when Erica was announced as the new head of house, she shockingly chose Kiddwaya as her deputy after She and Laycon had an agreement that if anyone of them gets picked as the Head of House, the other will be picked as deputy, as explained by Laycon.
Things went really bad for Laycon, he was feeling down and some housemates were seen talking to him.

It now feels like Laycon has been placed under a love spell or Erica’s ‘Kayamata’.

However, to be free from this spell, below are five things Laycon should do

1 Stay around other people more : Laycon is no doubt loved by all in the house but he has caged himself in a box, he is not very free with other housemates apart from Erica, which is really bad for him. He should try to stay around other housemates, they can actually make him feel better and probably help him forget he ever has feelings for Erica

2 Pour out his emotions into songwriting : Laycon is an artiste, a rap artiste for that matter, rappers are known for rapping about true life events, to make him quickly get over this, he should just pour out his emotions into songwriting, Let him write about it, rap about it, it’s going to be surprising how he will quickly stop hurting over it.

3 Become friends with Kiddwaya : Believe it or not, there is cold war between Laycon and Kiddwaya over Erica. They might not show it but deep inside them, they are not happy with each other, they see themselves as competitors though Laycon loses most times. If he really wants to get over it, He should become friends with Kidd, this will even amaze Erica, and with this, the three of them can even become best friends ever without any bad blood.

4 Get extremely close to Tolanibaj : In the house, TolaniBaj is considered one of Erica’s best friends, she tells her everything and they share lots of secrets. If Laycon can try to get close to her, not to catch feelings though, they should become good friends, this will in turn give Erica reason to worry while it will make Laycon heal from his hurt.

5 Focus on the money : Laycon obviously didn’t come into the house because of a lady. He should focus on the prize, give it all his attention, think about it every now and then.
