Benard94: I was at the GT Bank today (OAU, ILE-IFE branch) to deposit a sum of money. I went with a private bike to the bank. It has been continually emphasized that public bikes are not allowed at the bank’s car park (although no symbolic indication there). On this day, I was about parking this bike of mine on the slab as I use to do. Apart, I met another bike on this same slab and I have once being told by a security man that private bikes are allowed on the slab. One of the bank security men approached with harsh and commanding tone, “get out! Don’t park there! Leave there now!” Being in a hurry to deposit the money as my friend is waiting to cash it in Lagos; I didn’t utter a word, parked and entered the bank for the transaction. On coming out of the bank, I discovered this particular GT bank security man has contacted the school security (OAU) to take away the bike on the ground of arguing with him.You are @ fault. motor bike was ban and you still have the mind to ride on bike and even parck on the wrong place. two, why do you have dollar account, how many americans have naira acct. We cant simpathize with you go and cure you error |
Go and inspect what others said first before you ascribe guilt for any wrongdoing. Posters who are polite deserve and get nothing but politeness in return from me. The opposite will also apply. Let me give you an example. Look at the first response of the character called Promhize to what I wrote on the first page : Should I be polite to someone who calls me the above? What do you want my response to be? I am always amazed you guys cannot ever be fair to all involved and only pick and choose who is "insulting" others. Next time look properly, as a fair person would do, to note those showing lack of "home training".
Sorr I am picking on though, what I feel is that this medium is a channel whereby we educate ourslf constructively, to me I have learned alot on this channel is not everything know. democracy is gov of critics that we should all know. my advise is we should be polite and kind to each other here and educate oursf, these our leaders are bad they never mean well for us nigeria therefore shouldnt take side with them. thanks |
Too many factors buddy and this is why we should not sit here like fraudulent illiterates, including a so-called "medical Doctor", disgracing Nigeria with utterances that would even shame the worst laymen. (1)Equipment supply and installation cost (i.e sourcing component parts from the USA rather than the UK may increase transport cost to site.) (2)Fuel type obviously affecting choice and quantity of equipment required. (3)Cost of getting fuel to the plant i.e distance covered. (4)Economies of scale. (5)Sites costs (direct purchase, compensation, lease plan, etc). (6)provision for waste disposal. (7)Structural and civil cost. (8 ) Indirect costs. Etc, etc, etc, etc. Point being that we should not make uninformed assumption , especially when not power generation experts or Engineers, to then ignorantly and arbitrarily say what is "high" or "acceptable" based on anything other than a solid breakdown of cost. Involving sentiments and simplistic reasoning to infer all IPPs must have a standard cost per MW is one of the the most senseless thing I have ever heard. It is not the sort of argument any educated person should make. Ultimately, the point is that the Lagos and Bauchi IPP both fall within what is accepted today as justifiable per MW cost for power generation. Anyone seeking to claim impropriety should endeavour to do so with more than uniformed, ignorantly pedestrian and sentimental reasoning.
Gbawe or what ever you call yourself, why insult? it show that you lack proper home training, at every slightest argument you most chip in insult haba is not good now. be mature in your argument and stop insulting ppl here just advise ooo |

The Rivers State Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, on Saturday raised the alarm over his safety and pleaded with President Goodluck Jonathan, to ensure that he is not killed. Amaechi said this in an interview with Sahara TV, which was monitored by one of our correspondents. The governor, who narrated his ordeal in hands of the police and aviation authorities since he fell out with the President, said he felt unsafe. “I don’t have an aide de camp. I don’t have a chief security officer. They’ve withdrawn so many policemen. They’ve withdrawn all policemen from the commissioners. I feel unsafe. I just know that they want to kill me. Beg Mr. President to ensure that I’m not killed because I’m sure they are planning towards that.” Amaechi also accused his political opponents, including the Minister of State for Education, Mr. Nyesom Wike, and the President’s wife, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, of using the police to intimidate him and the people of the state. He said, “It is not just Wike that is controlling (the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Joseph) Mbu. It is not just Mrs. Patience Jonathan that is controlling Mbu. There are some people on the street controlling him. “They are doing two things under the watch of Mr. President and the Inspector-General of Police. They are trying to intimidate the Rivers society so that they can rig elections. And they are trying to intimidate me and expose me to danger.” Amaechi also accused the National Aviation Management Authority of monitoring his movement and deliberately delaying his flights. He described the level of impunity under Jonathan as worse than what Nigeria experienced under late General Sani Abacha. Amaechi said the Nigeria Governor’s Forum crisis would be resolved at the end of the 2015 election, adding that there would have been peace in Nigeria had the President not interfered in the forum’s election. He told his interviewer that President Jonathan confirmed his involvement in the NGF election at the last meeting the rebel governors had with him. “While Akpabio was denying it, I reminded him that the President confirmed to me that he participated. Jonathan said he canvassed support for Governor Shema and that he called governors and showed them a video recording of my speech on the oil well that was taken from Soku to Balyesa, and he therefore told them that if I won, he would never work with me,” he said. He said the possibility of peace between him and the first family was left in the hands of the President and God. “If the President wants peace, I will be available. And it should not be the type of peace that we had in 2011, that was because of the election,” he said. In a swift response, the Presidency described Amaechi as a drowning man, whose intention was to pitch the President and Nigerians. Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Ahmed Gulak, told SUNDAY PUNCH that Amaechi, by his utterances, did not have respect for the office of the President and by extension, the sovereignty of Nigeria. Gulak said, “Amaechi is a drowning man whose plan is just to pitch the President against the people of Rivers State but people of the state know better and they have turned against him (the governor). “On his claim that the President is after his life, Amaechi himself knows that President Jonathan is a peace-loving man who cannot hurt a fly. On the contrary, maybe he is the one planning that against the President. He should stop pitching people against the President. Nigerians know the President that he is a gentleman.” http://www.punchng.com/news/jonathan-should-ensure-im-not-killed-amaechi/

Former militant and national leader of the now rested Niger Delta Peoples Volunteers Force, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari has described President Goodluck Jonathan as a disappointment to the Ijaw nation, saying that he’s weak and unassertive as a leader. Dokubo-Asari stated this while reacting to the ongoing power tussle in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. The former militant lamented that Jonathan could not take bold and courageous steps to handle the situation like a true Ijaw man who is famous for boldness and exceptional courage. He told National Mirror that the President should be guided by an Ijaw famous saying, “Ama Doko Doko Biokpo,” which he interpreted to mean “small, small towns but they are very courageous and keep hope alive.” Asari-Dokubo said he was still unhappy over what he termed “poor response” to the crisis rocking the ruling party by the Presidency. He thus advised Jonathan to emulate former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, who confronted and dealt with the rebels in the party during his tenure. He asked Jonathan to stop further peace talks and negotiation with persons like Obasanjo and former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar. He said, “Jonathan is disgracing the Ijaw people and people of the South-South by negotiating with these dissidents. I am terribly annoyed by the way he is handling this issue, he is a disgrace. If he cannot withstand them, he should tell us because there is no basis for negotiation. “This is the time for Jonathan to act like an Ijaw man and he should stop disgracing us. “Jonathan should hit them and he should tell us if he cannot hit them so that we can help him to hit them mercilessly. I have the potential to hit them hard. It is on record that I once held Nigeria hostage and Nigeria could not produce oil for 48 hours and my activities forced the prices of crude oil globally to rise by $30 one day. It was unprecedented and I can repeat it. “The plot against Jonathan will surely fail, but the President should be decisive with these people once and for all. Jonathan should assert himself as the President and put these people where they should be. Obasanjo, who is leading these people did two terms and he plotted a third term. “There should be no negotiation with dissidents. It should be total war, no retreat, no surrender and let us see who will run first. There is time for peace and there is time for war. This is the time to go to war. “Jonathan should know that this is the time for war and if he cannot sustain the war, we will help him to sustain it. How many governors attempted to frustrate Obasanjo? Ibori and others were united behind Atiku Abubakar to frustrate Obasanjo and they failed because Obasanjo was strong, assertive, decisive and courageous. “Jonathan should be strong to deal with them but whether he is strong or not, we are ready to support and stand by him. It is not a one-man battle but a total war and they must be totally vanquished.” Meanwhile, Asari-Dokubo has called on Jonathan to hand over the Rivers State Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, to the ex-fighters in the Niger Delta for a decisive action. On Amaechi, he said, “Let the security men step aside and let us see how Amaechi can come to Rivers State. Amaechi should not be protected because he has betrayed the collective interest of the Niger Delta. “Jonathan should be decisive and look at the other way and allow us to stand on the streets for 24 hours and we will see whether this madness by Amaechi will not end http://dailypost.com.ng/2013/09/05/jonathan-is-a-disgrace-to-the-ijaw-people-hes-weak-dokubo-asari/ |
According to reports, the couple (pictured above) were forced to walk naked on Thursday 19th September at Orokam, Obadigbo Local Government area of Benue State. The woman is said to be the wife of a popular school proprietor in the area -the porpietor passed on Tuesday and barely two days after she was caught with another man. After being caught, they were taken to the town’s oracle – oracle called “ALEKWU” which punishes married women who cheat on their husbands and also deters people from committing atrocities. To punish the couple, the oracle instructed that them to walk the town naked to cleanse the land; after which the woman was sent back to her father’s house and banned from attending her husband’s funeral. see attached picture on pdf file |
What debate? A useless man that refuses to focus on his job. The only thing he has been doing so far is running around fighting every politician he can think of like an agbero. Mtcheww. The behavior of that man is nothing but a disgrace and gradually his political career is going down the drain because of it. He is hated in his own region, hated in his own state (excluding his people), even the DPO of his own state had the balls to disrespect him (the governor of the state) and instead of the 1diot to try and save the little degree of strength he has in his political career, all his been doing is creating more problem for himself. Thank you but I rather not debate the act of a shameless man.
Is that woman your mother? why taking side on this matter, you better becareful. idiot |
lokito: Their plot will simply be an excercise in futility. The South East Forum (SEF) yesterday advocated a Southeast presidency in 2015. It insisted that the only credible group that should talk of producing the next president is the Southeast people. In a statement in Abuja yesterday by its Chairman, Louis Olube, the group said it would be a waste of time for anybody or group outside the Southeast to dream of producing the next president. Olube said it was only the Igbo that have not got their share in the affairs of the country, including leadership position. He said over the years all the Southeast got from successive administrations were nothing but promises. “We the Igbo insist that come 2015, we must produce the next president because as one of the largest group in Nigeria, we are yet to have that sense of belonging. “The time is now for the Southeast to produce the next president because already we are aware that there are moves for the presidency to move to other parts other than the Southeast after Jonathan. “We will not allow it as our people are being sensitised not to vote for any party that fails to present an Igbo as its candidate in 2015,” he stated. |
