I have never even seen that video before. I was not referring to this. How does 1 fake video mean all the rest are fake or untrue? This is talking specifically about a video that claimed to be 5 Zimbabweans being burnt but this means nothing. The fact is being are being murdered still and shops burnt and chased from their homes. This is the fact
Thats the Video thats been watched seen by many, I've seen it many times on nairaland even appeared on Channel4 news today.

Yes there's xenophobic violence and looting of shops, just like January in soweto.

I have been reading your comments on here for a very long time and I thought you were South African with the way you constantly defend everything about South Africa. I don't really belive you are Nigerian maybe half at most but you are definitely South African. I thought you were even coloured at one point in time from a comment you made as well as your username. Oh well its an online forum where anyone can be anyone. All I ask esp as a moderator is that you should not be biased. You said all the news is fake and no Nigeria n's have been dead. Bring out the source stating and confirming no Nigerians have been killed. Bring out a source stating that all videos and pics etc are fake
see my other post the thread, i've posted this Xenophobia: No Nigerian killed in South Africa— Obanikoro http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/04/xenophobiasa-no-nigerian-killed-in-south-africa-obanikoro/ again all the gruesome images are fake, post any and i'll show you the real source.

The #xenophobicSA thread, thats where the fake gruesome images originated, they're just random violent pics from Google. Your can check their sources on the Google reverse image search engine. Some are from Nigeria, like the man with deep cuts, happened in naija.

why are some people so insensitive to the plight of fellow Nigerians? while others are even claiming the attacks are rumors. Eyewitness report reaching me this morning said 10 Nigerians where among those killed in johannesburg last night. for the fact they are illegal immigrant does make them lesser human beings, it is them today it might be us tomorrow. it is so obvious that the black southafricans are bunch of jobless and lazy people. These acts of xenophobia is not about competition, but hatred and jealousy of other foreign blacks is the cause. the jobs are there but majority of them doesn't have any sort of qualification to seek white collar jobs, and are even too lazy do unskilled jobs. I hope with the advent of change, many Nigerian will reallocate back home and be satisfied with the little they have. As it is now, Nigeria is among the freest place to live on planet earth. Long live Nigeria.
Those are lies, no nigerian has been confirmed dead, From the horse's mouth Xenophobia: No Nigerian killed in South Africa— Obanikoro http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/04/xenophobiasa-no-nigerian-killed-in-south-africa-obanikoro/

The people are insensitive due to ignorance mostly. How many of those that have commented are actually living in South Africa. As of now Zenophobia is spreading it was only in Durban but it has moved to Johannesburg now. It's really terrible. Xenophobia is here. It may not always be showed violently but there is hate towards foreign nationals.
Yes the xenophobia is real, but the reports about 10 Nigerians dead is false. No nigerian has been confirmed dead. but i'm in cape town not jo'burg or durban.

There is xenophobia amongst the educated and uneducated. The truth is that foreigners generally do better than them and they are jealous. In the rural areas is where they are turning violent and physical but in urban areas you can see the jealousy in the way they speak, act, talk to and treat foreign nationals.

In certain elite professions most of the black foreigners got there by merit but a lot of them(black Sans) got there by BBBEEE(Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment)They are an extremely lazy bunch of individuals and nobody deserves to be murdered like that.

Every foreigner is affected from Somalia, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Congo, Ghana etc.

I have a friend whose father was murdered. He was found with his brain cut open from his head. What kind of people does this?

Some of the things they do to foreigners in just sickening

I swear I wanted to say something until I saw your profile pixs, you sure reason like it. so you mean the death of 2pple is not enough to raise alarm. we have to wait until all our citizens are killed before we say something. why not do some digging before you write. It was reported that local news refuse to comment on it. as at this morning my friends their were calling for help. You need help seriously whether 2 or 3 people the fact still remains that we need to cry out on the act. When the death of 2pple means nothing I wonder what you are thinking.
Okay mam, I agree, two is too many lives lost, but spreading false info is not good, there might be revenge attacks, it'll make matters worse.

the violence took place in Durban BTW, not in Johannesburg yet, as you claim.

Foreign AffairsYemen Could Stoke Regional War: Iraq PM by osystein(mod): 10:36pm On Apr 15, 2015
Washington - Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi said on Wednesday the fighting in Yemen could engulf the region in war, and suggested after talks in Washington that US leaders shared his concerns and “want to stop this conflict as soon as possible.”

Abadi, who met with US President Barack Obama on Tuesday, also said that convincing Iraq's neighbor Saudi Arabia to halt its offensive in Yemen could be difficult.

Saudi Arabia is engaged in a three-week-old campaign of air strikes against Yemen's Houthi rebels, who are allied with Iran and have taken over the capital and forced the president to take refuge in Riyadh.

Asked about Iranian efforts to broker a peace deal for Yemen, Abadi said: “From what I understand from the (Obama) administration, the Saudis are not helpful on this. They don't want a cease-fire now.”

Asked whether Obama broadly shared his concerns, Abadi said the administration did.

The White House, however, denied Obama had criticized Saudi Arabia in his talks with Abadi and renewed US support for the anti-Houthi military campaign by the Saudis and other members of the Gulf Cooperation Council regional grouping.
