Yea. As for the new ones, I saw them on the MTN app and no details were put there as to data cap or even speed. It might be just like the ODU sub for Airtel.
Someone posted it.

50mbps - #40k
100mbps -#65k

I meant to say the IDU, whether it's WiFi 5 or 6.
It should be WiFi 6.

Airtel's is better. MTN capped theirs at 150GB and a paltry 2GB per day after that. Still 30k.

Airtel is 20mbs and unstated 1TB cap, after which speed reduces for some people (because some also say they use up to 4TB per month)
I think that's the existing MTN plan.

These ones are new and the FUP unclear for now.

This is what will make Airtel increase price now. Useless mtn
They won't. They're not the same thing.

If anything, it may make Airtel review their router unlimited plans (not ODU) to match those of MTN hynetflex plans.

dustmalik:
Indeed. This is not good at all. MTN is extremely greedy. Why can't they match it with the pricing of Airtel? Even if they're not providing devices, some customers would gladly still go for the service.
Airtel ODU and MTN FiberX plans are all fixed broadband plans and they are similarly priced.

This is a router broadband plan similar to Airtel's 20mbps and 60mbps for #30k and #50k respectively.

The IDU looks different from what we have seen from ZLT models.
Yes. But it is ZLT. This one is just more fancy.

BusinessRe: No Bank Is Allowed To Debit Your Account Over Loan Repayments Unless... by Osyxcel(m): 7:57am On Dec 10, 2025
Commercial banks are allowed to use Global Standing Instruction (GSI) to recover not only unpaid lons but also missed repayments. It's allowed by CBN and there's a circular to that effect.

Microfinance banks and fintechs are not allowed to use this tool. They can use other tools like Direct Debit Mandate which you must consent to during onboarding.

The difference between GSI and Direct Debit is that with GSI, commercial banks can recover loan from any of your accounts domiciled with a commercial bank in Nigeria.

With Direct Debit, only the account you link or provided for this purpose can be debited.

Additionally, there are fees associated with GSI that the customer will bear in addition to the amounts being recovered, so they usually take more than you owe.

With GSI, If you were wrongly debited, the bank must refund and pay you a compensation as stipulated by CBN (I can't remember the amount). So banks are very careful using this tool.

Please is there a way to power that ZLT ODU without plugging it to the IDU directly?
I have tried all possible means but nothing seems to be working, I tried a lot of UPS powerbanks but non could power it unless I plug it to the IDU W/LAN port
PoE adapter like that of Huawei, but 24v instead.

The UPS powerbanks, do they have 24v PoE port?

Hullabaloon:
I am not sure you understand what I am talking about. Can I bypass the UPS and plug the IDU directly to light since I have 24/7 power. (I use the ZTE)

And if yes, it means I now have a UPS I don't use. So second question is. Can I somehow use the UPS as a power bank to charge my phones. Though I think that's very unlikely given it doesn't have any USB ports. But then in the world of tech, almost anything is possible.
Yes, you can plug the IDU directly to light using an adapter for the IDU and a PoE adapter for the ODU. These should come with your box.

For the powerbank, you have to find a 12v to USB converter. You can search online for this.

Cheers!

I am good. Now worries at all. I understand.

I went to their head office in Abuja and I was Informed that the Huawei ODU was never sent to their Abuja shops. I think the Huawei stock they got was very limited in quantity. What they have here is the ZLT. Though I was informed that they're in talks with Huawei to restock.
Hopefully they restock soon.

PLEASE SOMEONE ANSWER ME:

I made a mistake of purchasing the "Airtel 30 Days Unlimited HBB Data for 30k on my alternative SIM instead of my router SIM. Now I'm unable to browse the internet. Please any solution?
Call customer service and ask them to refund you so you can subscribe on the router SIM or ask them to transfer the subscription from the alternate SIM to the router SIM.

It should be easy since both SIMs are linked.

Good luck.

The evening low speed issues happen to me too, and I have virtually 247 power supply.
I think it’s a congestion issue. Most people are home in the evenings so definitely more load. My theory anyway.

Yea, but the SINR value, which is quite crucial, is good enough. I get mostly 3 signal bars and sometimes max of 4 bars on that band.

Bands 3 and 8, which always have full bars with lower RSSI and RSRP values (lower is better for these), have lower SINR values. Higher is better for SINR, a crucial metric.

Band 7 is always faster than all of them, even when the network is having its customary issues.
Higher RSSI and RSRP are actually better (lesser negative value)

Like someone explained few replies back, Band 7 is actually the fastest because of the 20MHz bandwidth but it doesn’t travel far. The 3256 and 3400 are most likely the best frequency on Band 7.

Band 3 (10MHz) probably the next best after 7. Travels farther than 7, more stable, but the performance is average.

I believe Band 1 and 8 (also 10MHz) are basically the same (very poor) and they are just there for purposes of band aggregation (4G+).

Tried many options. The X25 seems to be stubborn with this. I only succeeded in making only one device connect and browse - the first device to be connected will browse, the rest won't.

The thing took most of my free time.

I no dey try am again jare.

One thing I found online is that the pro version of this router (i.e. X25 pro and perhaps the now available Max 2) have that root access and in fact have a dedicated WAN from one of the LAN ports. It's not straightforward with this normal X25 router.
Do the settings like I said and turn off DHCP on the X25. It should work.

Tried it on my 4G Airtel router with basic features and it works.

You know, without successfully connecting the IDU to internet, the ODU interface won't be accessible. Or so I think, because I did try to access it, also to no avail.
Try this instead.

Log in to the ODU, then go to the DHCP. You should be able to manually assign an IP address to the X25 using the X25’s MAC address. Check the MAC address under the router.

I don’t know what your ODU IP address is but for example, if your ODU IP is 192.168.0.1, that means you can set an address from 192.168.0.2 - 254 (only the digits after the last dot)

In this instance, you can set your X25 as 192.168.0.54. Once this is done, go to your X25 and set 192.168.0.54 as default gateway.

It recognized it as the network indicator lights up when it's plugged, just like it does when I plug MC801A.
The indicator may light because the connector was plugged in.

When you try again, enter the ODU interface and see if it recognised the X25 and if an IP was assigned to it. If an IP address was assigned, you can use that in the X25 settings as the default gateway.
