Politics / Re: Ex-militant Tompolo Buys A Private Jet by otanaworld: 4:28am On Sep 10, 2013
I remembered the story of Jesus disciple who was angry at the woman who poured an alabaster box of oilment on Jesus feet saying why was the expensive oil nor sold to feed the poor ....not knowing that he himself is a thief stealing from Jesus treasury.

Is this why Jonathan should go? NOooooooooooooo

The opportunity cost of not having Tompolo buying his jet is for the disciple not to have a kobo in the treasury to steal.

Politics / Re: A Niger-Delta Village In The 1960s (before Oil) by otanaworld: 1:13am On Jul 14, 2013
As a young Niger Delta boy even in the early 70s such good looking natural environment existed in the Niger Delta.
1. I remembered going to pick periwinkles in the swarms meeting blue coloured water that is reflecting the blue skies in a hot afternoon like that.
2. I remembered especially on a rainy day and especially at night going to creeks with only Calabash and bare hands coming home with good catch of fishes
3. I remembered using such clean (so to say) sea waters tasting salty to soak my garri padling my canoe while returning from Kaa or Iyanaba market
4. I remembered not bothering about tap water every morning to bath to school but jumping into this river like you do in this modern day swimming pole, wash mysely come out robe high scenting pomade and off to school
5. I remembered having my canoe capsided on the sea and I swarm to safety without any poluted water with oil to choke me
6. But I also remembered afterwards on Sobiekiri river many canoes with people on the water, someone mistakenly threw a cigaret stub on the water and it caught fire and so many people were burnt to dead including good swimmers who jumped into the river to see if they could dive past the burning oil on the water
7. No doubt about that picture

Politics / Re: Rotimi Amaechi Has Been Suspended From PDP by otanaworld: 2:12am On May 28, 2013
I thought I heard him said it was my right to contest ....but I also know that my right is very different from my birth right.

I go with the submission rhat Ameachi stands to gain more standing solidly behind Jona than being this ambitious.

Why did he belong to a party if he was not ready to abide by the decisions of the party.....is Godswill Akpabio not the chairman PDP Governors forum? Or is the PDP gf subordinate to the Nigeria gf?

The party is greater than any one member....come 2015 if PDP will not accept the candidature of Gej to contest for President, Nigerians won't even see him to vote for.

......the anti party reason of my Governor......
Politics / Re: Lagos Installs 90 Cctv Cameras. by otanaworld: 12:23pm On May 14, 2009
THIS IS ANOTHER ENCOURAGING ACHIEVEMENT BY THE LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT, but my question is who has the power to reveal the identity of the criminals caught up in the eyes of the cameras? In the past we have had incidences of political assasinations among others in lagos state, hope the ICT men behind the cameras can show to the public images from the cameras in any such circumstance WITH NO HOLDING BACK.

May the cameras not be shut because there is one HOT NEWS in the mouth of one of them. May it not be only for car snatchers or Handset thieves or the pick pocketers at Bus stops. May it be another 'god' eyes watching over all lagosians never to sleep nor slumbber.

You can now go to sleep with two eyes closed oh! lagosian for there are eyes watching over the city while you sleep!

Every one discussing the Niger Delta issue should be able to distinguish between the true freedom fighters in the creeks and the cult members operating in Port Harcourt township.

To the True freedom fighters, I give my kudos!

Politics / Re: Army Officers Who Sold Weapons To Militants by otanaworld: 9:23am On Jan 19, 2008
Each time I come across people discussing the Niger Delta issue, I have always been forced to look the other way because many of the opinions will always want to paint the picture of the "Criminal Niger Delta Militants" but, hey, wait a minute, the Federal Government and the Multinationals that have deprived the area of ALL basic good things of life are not often touched in the discussions. Whether the army officers provided the ammunitions or not, it is left for the army authority to apply their justice, but, what motivate these personnel to provide these arms, if it is out of the just cause to liberate the region from the age long oppressions, then let it be.

Recently, we are reading from the dailies how OBJ son has been seriously involved in contracts of the NDDC, ask me, how many of such contracts are properly executed and who cares to monitor them.

My own is LET THE NIGER DELTA BE DEVELOPED then there will be no room for militancy, and temptation of the army officials to sell arms, train or join the militant groups.

Romance / Re: The Perfect Valentine's Day Gift by otanaworld: 12:04pm On Feb 03, 2007
Please can someone tell me why this topic is generating so much attention here. Does it mean girls are always expecting to receive gifts from guys?

Maybe this was why Eve could not resist the Apple gift from her visitor serpent in the garden. Oh, you remember?

Girls be careful! why not think of what to give to your boy at valentine, birthday, xmas etc. when you usually expect.

Religion / Re: The Poison Called Prosperity by otanaworld: 3:07pm On Dec 08, 2006
Personally, am not against the message of prosperity but my problem is how do the prosperity of the churches influence our society. For example, the universities owned by some of the Churches are of the highest paid tutions in the country today. None of the missions have any social institution such as well equipped hospitals to assist the poor as done by the early methodists and catholics that came to Nigeria. Infact, many if not all do not even have far reaching welfare programmes for even their less privileged members.

The question I often ask myself is that, if it were Jesus Christ that built these universities etc. which sector of the population would he have desired to reach? After all, remember, these institutions are financed by the offerings and tithes of all the members of the congregation. SO HELP US GOD!

Religion / Re: Pastor T. B. Joshua: The Man in the Synagogue by otanaworld: 12:44pm On Nov 24, 2006
I believe whatever anyone will say here is a matter of personal opinion. The pastor's miracles always remind me of the reality of what was recorded in the Bible that the death raised, lame walked and the poor had the gospel preached unto them. It reminds me of things when Jesus was actually present doing these miracles here on earth and don't forget Jesus promised that greater things will those who believe in him will do , unless we don't believe the scriptures are true!

Economically, am sure Pastor Joshua has through his evangelical activities done much to promote the image of Nigeria and Nigerians abroad e.g Korea, South Africa etc, at a time when many people are asking can any good thing come out of Nigeria? I remembered chatting with a friend abroad and referring to pastor Joshua and others great ministers in Nigeria i said, God has become a Nigerian in this age. Why? Evidences abound everywhere both at home and abroad - the miracles.

What about the foreign exchange earnings the visitors to his church has brought into the country. Infact, to me he has done far more than what any governmental agency set up to do this has done to polish the image of Nigeria.

The Bible says God is light, do you see light in the ministry of pastor Joshua? then,

The only observation i have to make is the skin colour separate seating arrangement, for what? are we no longer equal before God?

To me, that Great man I believe is a man of God doing the miraculous works of God!

Amodu,

, take note of what?

that the Reverend didn't carry overload or that the policeman was doing illegal duty?
Jokes Etc / The Nigerian Police by otanaworld: 6:04pm On Nov 19, 2006
Typical of the Nigeria Policeman, he was desperate and determined to collect 'egun je' from any motorist that comes next his checkpoint one faithful morning.

As early as 5am the man has taken position waiting for any first unfortunate catch. Surprisingly, it was a Reverend minister of God that arrived the checkpoint at that time. Hold it! the Police screamed, can i see your papers? The man of God bubbling with tongues handed over the particulars of the vehicle to the policeman.Ok! your papers correct but how about spare tyre, fire exstinquisher etc.; the reverene have them all.

The policeman getting a little bit disturbed but firmed asked the reverend minister "but how come you are driving alone this hour of the day aren't you conscious of the security implication?" The man of God answered with bold voice , Not at all! for with me here in this vehicle are: God the father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit and infact legions of angels keeping guard. OH YES, the policeman replied, then i charge you for overloading.
