Politics › Re: Restructuring Nigeria Doesn’t Depend On North, Anybody ― PANDEF by otosa(m): 2:23pm On Nov 13, 2020 |
Moferere: 1. I think we need to find a uniform definition for restructuring so that restructuring will mean the same thing to everyone in NC, NE, NW, SE, SS and SW.
2. The North, just like every other person is needed before restructuring can be achieved. All hands must be on deck with every regions putting their cards on the table.
3. 'If we don't restructure Nigeria, the country will restructure itself'. This is a big lie. If we don't restructure Nigeria, it is aluta continua. It will never restructure itself.
NB: Don't quote me if you want to play ethnic cards. My brother, there is one thing about Northern, they only think about today not tomorrow. And no matter education you give them on Restructuring, they will still tell you they do not understand it because in 1960 when West and South were asking for independent the Northern said they are not ready, but after we got it they are the one enjoyed it most. The same thing in 1998 when we are fighting for democracy, they did not join Southern on it but today they are the one dominate every Government. What I noticed about them is they like to dominate what is not belong to them. |

Politics › Re: Why The Call To Restructure Nigeria Is Daft by otosa(m): 11:38am On Oct 30, 2020 |
BigBashiru: USA is 52 States strong with no quest for restructuring. Nigeria is just about the size of texas and ppl are calling for restructuring. Very telling about Nigerians as a people. Self self self me me me. Even after restructuring the clans will start calling for further break up of the land into smaller bits.
If each state start controlling it's resources, the lga with the resources will also start clamouring for the state to be divided into lgas and let each lga control it's own resources.
It's a curse guys.... if have a chance to pls go abroad and stay there. and how many senators Texas has compare with Nigeria with 109 Senators? Believe me, most of our problem in this country is from central. Let's breakup the central first and we will have a better Nigeria. Some of them could not win election in their local government but the moment they appoint them as SA or minister they will become the big boy in presidency just because Federal Government is controlling the resources in the land but by the time we wick the center the place will be less for the vibrant youths, there wouldn't be much money to embezzle. |

thesilentman: Ofcourse you won't believe but i will still let you know. This is to all yoruabas. It's not to too late to stop this madness. There'd certainly be hell to pay for this tomfoolery we are calling protest! The north is masturbating right now on our foolishness.Ya all need to think outta da box. Go and sit down my friend, because they are mocking us now we should not ask for our right or stop talking about asking for good Govt. If you don't know let me remind you. Southern has always been in front when we are talking about Protest. Start from 1925,1945,1952 and 1959 that leading to independence, My friend i want you to just mention a single protest that Northern initiated. If you don't know go and ask today, Norther has never initiated a single one. Every protest stars from Southern here, but when its opportunity comes, you will see them claiming champion and this reminds me of June 12, Northern leaders were feeling comfortable with the step Abacha took then, even when the Southerner was shouting for returning to democracy Govt. they are not in support but today they are the one enjoying it. But this one is going to be another dimension believe me. |

But it was the same Southerner voted for him in 2011 with hope that he will restructure the Country as we agreed but instead of that he did otherwise by using us play handicap in 2014. Osedagal: I got hold of a post of a Yeroba guy calling for southern unity. I actually talked about this whole thing extensively a week ago, that this #Endsars# is all about politics, some persons agreed with me and some others bashed me. But you all see the script is playing out so fast .
So, you all didn't know about southern Unity when you guys ganged up against Good luck Jonathan? You guys didn't know Southern Unity when you all made sure Buhari came back as president despite his disastrous first term in office? You guys didn't know about Southern Unity when you all made the Ibos so irrelevant in Nigeria, this can be evident in the Legislative arm of government. Now you all are using this protest to unite the South to score cheap political points. Then in 2023 bring a Yoruba man in Tinubu or Tinubu's babes or side chicks and you think the South will queue behind that person . That I say is a BIG LIE. You traitors should try better. The SS/SE are way smarter than this. You guys shouldn't use this protest as a front. |

Never, the Northerner wouldn't accept this. Why do you think some sections in this country are asking for total freedom to leave the country? We have been asking for all this but the Northerner see this as a way for another regions to break out from the Country. Believe me, for this country to develop we must weak the power at the center which is Abuja. If we want the world to see us as a serious Country, we should go back to 1960 system. |

dukeprince50: how about we start talking about how we could get Nigeria working again, instead of seeing those politicians are demigods. All we care about is breakup but we are too daft to even think the new country will be another Nigeria with a different name. we have voters card but choose to be stupid. forget that, Nigeria can not work again. Just look at it for example. Since 2013 we have been on restructuring, these political class deny it just because they know that the restructuring will favor Nigerians but not them. They are the one enjoying this Unity not citizens. Let's say the fact, we are not made to be together, if not since 1960 what is our achievement? Since they have failed to restructuring this country the next thing now is breakup. People are looking for new thing and breaking up is only new thing they believe it could happen to this country. People don't believe in the system anymore. |
Tinubu will surely be a good President.
be a good president under which constitution and system? Have you forgotten that according to this constitution and the system you can't do beyond what NASS want you to do and who is control NASS? Northerner. Enough is enough when are we going to have a total freedom from this slavery system. Ok! Ask yourself, apart of the personal interest attaching to this ambition, what Yoruba are they going to benefit? Believe me under this current system if Tinubu get there today he can't perform any miracle to make this country better. The best thing for this country now is every Region should go on her own part for betterment of every body. This present system can not work and they are not ready to change it to 1960 mode. Therefore we should break. |
