This amongst other reasons earned the former governor accolades allowing other states opportunities to benefit.

Recall the world bank had on numerous occasions awarded Kogi as number one in multiple awards for transparency and fiscal responsibility.

The question now is, if the governor was this transparent with public funds, what then must have resulted in EFCC’s pursuit and media trial, leaving out other governors who have been previously accused? The personal focus and attack on Yahaya Bello may have a political undertone and an agenda yet to he revealed.

Yes, NNPCL AND CBN are corrupt because our judiciary is rotting. Corruption wouldn't have thrived so much in most of the organizations if the handlers knows that the rule of laws can't be bought/override/bent.

That's why you see that Jonathan moved from 65 to 97 naira meaning ,he removed 32naira from the subsidy. Then buhari from 97 to 145 then 195 meaning he first removed 48 naira then another 50 naira,yet he spent that figure . So, the figures says buhari spent more on subsidy.

What Jonathan's administration spent for subsidy for 4 years is almost double what Buhari spent for 7 years.

If you divide Buhari's figure, it is lower than what Yaradua spent in 2 years and what Obasanjo spent in a year.

APC may have its problems but you have to admit that their subsidy figure is the lowest in the history of Nigeria.

The data also shows that Buhari's major problem may not have been misappropriation of funds but he couldn't run the economy well. The percentage the naira fell during Buhari's era is scary.

Economics principle made us believe price should crash but the two way thing is:
1) buying a used car from the owner may come out cheap but,
2) imported cars (tokunbo or new) price absolutely depends on our exchange rate and custom duty. So, the subsidy removal wouldn't have effect here other than the decrease in importation .
