You people clamour for a working country but cheers people destroying the system. You forgot that a working country is the product of a working system.
yarimo: FUBARA will soon understand what is politics by then it will be too late for him
The leaders are not the curse in my opinion. Who are the leaders?? Are they not the individuals amongst us that has the opportunity to get there? Have you considered the mindset of an average Nigerian? Give an average Nigerian a little privilege and see how they misuse it. Then you understand where our problem lies.
Is he trying to tell us there is no border control?, the federal government doesn't know what is going on in the ports? When the cargos came in, did they just book, collect money without knowing the contents?. It's shameful that our politicians has taken us for a ride, they come out to say whatever they like.
Reno's hunt on obi is becoming boring by the day. I will not be surprised if he ends up the Haman way and unconsciously make the obi Mordecai.

BondRiv: A servant is a servant. Instead of Fubara to stick to the master who brought him into office, he is now serving a new master, an expired politician called Odili. He will always be a boy. Incompetent thing.
Reno is not pained about obi's exit. He's just being the regular greedy Nigerian politician without integrity. It's obvious he's been brought back home to denigrate obi. You can pick that from the election build up. He was talking from all sides of his mouth. Praise obi today, praise atiku tomorrow, always attacking tinubu but now, the cv he was building with all his social media engagements has finally been considered by the one he attacked most and he got employed as expected. He would never do well as a principal political office holder as well.
Thundafireseun: Reno is still very pained, Obi left PDP ….
I’m beginning to feel Obi fuckkkked Reno’s wife before dumping both PDP and Reno’s wife
Have you also seen another letter where your Lord Bello paid his children school fees till graduation from the state's fund? People like this are the reasons for Nigeria's retrogression. Just pay them, they forget all pains and exonerate rubbish.
AnonPoet: Amidst the the ongoing EFCC saga and media onslaught against the former governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello, a viral letter shows how the former Governor returned surplus funds to the world bank, to the tune of 4.6million US Dollars.
This amongst other reasons earned the former governor accolades allowing other states opportunities to benefit.
Recall the world bank had on numerous occasions awarded Kogi as number one in multiple awards for transparency and fiscal responsibility.
The question now is, if the governor was this transparent with public funds, what then must have resulted in EFCC’s pursuit and media trial, leaving out other governors who have been previously accused? The personal focus and attack on Yahaya Bello may have a political undertone and an agenda yet to he revealed.
Read the letter the World Bank wrote him below;
July 14 2021 His Excellency Mr. Yahaya Adoza Bello Exccutive Governor of Kogi State Office of the Governor Government House Lokoja, Kogi State
As sad as the story is... Pope's colleagues would still find away to promote themselves with his death... Hypocrisy.. if uche is truly mourning, what was he doing on the Internet to find Davido's post??
saphiere: Popular Nigerian singer, Davido, has come under scrutiny for promoting his music during a time of mourning following the tragic death of Nollywood actor Junior Pope. Criticism has been voiced by Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu, who questioned the timing of Davido's song release amidst the somber atmosphere surrounding Junior Pope's passing in a boat mishap while returning from a movie shoot.
"This is so insensitive Davido, it's morally wrong for you to be releasing a new song while Nigerians dey mourn Junior Pope. Stop this, what is all this ni tori olorun?", the actor wrote.
Our system is actually the problem. Don't forget the driver is a product of the system.
LocalFARMERS: This overloaded Truck almost fell off the Road. Due to so many factors. The Road is bad, the Truck is overloaded. But if the VIO and Road safety are doing their jobs well, the driver won't overload his truck.
Well said. The only solution is either go back to regional govt or split completely and let the north go since any decisive measure to curb it is always termed as an attack on the north by the same northerners. Let each region be responsible for their security and see if you would still hear of them.
Nicepoker: Going back to regional governance is the solution.
We don't know because,we are not God and His ways are different from ours.
One would have said, Jesus would allow the mob to kill that harlot but when he asked that candid question, non of them was morally justified to stone her. God's way is mystery and He wouldn't reveal it to many. Just do your own and leave Him as the judge of all.
Vinnie2000: What's your Opinion? Will God answer her Prayer? 🤔🤔
Mine: He will Likely NOT.😌 Couldn't she have gone home to Change her outfit?😒
Yes, NNPCL AND CBN are corrupt because our judiciary is rotting. Corruption wouldn't have thrived so much in most of the organizations if the handlers knows that the rule of laws can't be bought/override/bent.
Faiththatworks: It's a straight fight between NNPCL and CBN. You see all this other bodies are learning work where this two organisations are Between these two organisations, they have mismanaged trillions of naira. Please tell me whether Judiciary,Senate and House of Reps or even police can claim to have seen trillions of naira every year to mismanage Asiwaju has opened the yansh of CBN with the Obazee Investigate committee and from the feelers we have, the corruption there is mind blowing I am patiently waiting for when they will open NNPCL yansh, the mess there will shock Nigeria to it's foundation All the subsidy money, inflation of figures for local fuel consumption and the never ending Turn Around Maintainance(TAM) of all those scrap metals called Refineries that never ends is enough to give NNPCL the first position Kindly click this link to get a piece of the busy Ibeju Lekki Industrial Hub,the fastest growing economic zone in West Africa:
When you thought you have seen/heard it all... This is the root cause of Nigeria's problems. They shift grounds when it comes to value and integrity. It doesn't matter so far it favours them. Silence is far better than this ridiculous comment. This guy is not fit for the job in my opinion because,he would cause them more harm with his shallow brain.
Gossiphub: Tinubu's SA on Media and Publicity, Temitope Ajayi, said that Atiku is not a decent man, because he exposed Tinubu's Chicago State University Fraud.
When the defense minister tells you that prayer is what we need to end the menace of people they know and could be dealth with if willing, then you have gotten the message for the next four years. Minister of finance too would still ask us to call God to come and fix our economy.
The police command said the warrant was fake... Now the question is, was the arrest not by men of police force? Who are these officers? What we are supposed to see here is, those police officers has been arrested for questioning on where they got the warrant from. Also, the station they took him to couldn't recognize a fake warrant? RUBBISH.
Well... What I see here is the justification of the hypothetical saying that Nigerians and hypocrisy are inseparable. @biodun 551above could be right that she should have rejected the nomination on the ground of integrity. I'm not against being cautious about social media use but it is wrong to say because she criticized any wrong doing should be the reason for dropping her if she's capable of bringing a positive change. There is nothing bad in a constructive criticism. Justifying her replacement on the ground of that post is pointing to the root of our problem as a nation. Which means, when you are part of them, what they are doing is not bad but when when we are not part, it's wrong.
If the video is disrespectful, what do we call the ones their top politicians do by swearing with the Quran to do the right but are always doing the wrong isn't that an abuse and the worse form of disrespect to the religion? Same as those that swears with the bible.
BoldBrainz: Davido owes no one an apology. Whoever is pained can go and die! I'm even disappointed in him for taking down the video. Someone like Timaya would have released a follow-up song abusing the unfortunate religious bastards..
Nigeria is a secular country and people like you enable nonsense with your misplaced sentiments.
Northern muslims are extremely stupid! Impoverished set of illiterates with animalistic tendencies!
Nothing can satisfy humans. If your colleagues you asked had chosen Yoruba moslems over igbo christian, you would cry tribalism. It's a clear case of interest, two cannot work together except they agree. Yoruba moslems and Christians are with different believes so why don't you go with a Latin that you share common interests and believe.
Ezeama400: Unity of yorubas in religion remains a figment of imagination of clowns on Nairaland from SW extraction..
I have personally and stylishly asked some Christian Yoruba single ladies I have worked with before..
I asked them, ..
If Igbo Christian man come for your hand in marriage and a Yoruba man who's a Muslim come the same time and you have only those two options ,...who would you marry ?... They all told me Igbo, except one whose father is a Muslim that told me he doesn't have issue with religion... In fact, one of them told me "Olorunmaje" for her to marry a Muslim Yoruba Now I keep asking myself if Yoruba on nairaland are different from yorubas offline or do the ones on nairaland love deceiving themselves ?
Can somone like Prof Akitola give out his daughter for a Christian to marry ? Average Christian in South West can't give out his daughter to a Yoruba Muslim to marry as well . Let somebody like Osibanjo try it let me see.
80 percent of yorubas both Christians and Muslims are conscious of their religion.
If you want to know if what I am saying true, make the inquries yourself if you are very close to yorubas (Female ones)
Some SW Nairaland rodent just love deceiving themselves with "Religion doesn't matter in Yoruba land".
In the real sense, buhari's tenure spent the most. Because all of them were removing little from the subsidy. That's why you see that Jonathan moved from 65 to 97 naira meaning ,he removed 32naira from the subsidy. Then buhari from 97 to 145 then 195 meaning he first removed 48 naira then another 50 naira, yet he spent that figure . So, the figures says buhari spent more on subsidy.
N3TRAL: I'm a bonafide south south boy but let's face it- based on those figures, APC no too chop Nigeria's money.
What Jonathan's administration spent for subsidy for 4 years is almost double what Buhari spent for 7 years.
If you divide Buhari's figure, it is lower than what Yaradua spent in 2 years and what Obasanjo spent in a year.
APC may have its problems but you have to admit that their subsidy figure is the lowest in the history of Nigeria.
The data also shows that Buhari's major problem may not have been misappropriation of funds but he couldn't run the economy well. The percentage the naira fell during Buhari's era is scary.
The relationship between cars and Petrol is complementary in nature. Complementary in the sense that, one is needed to augment the other, just like garri and kulikuli.
Going by basic economics principle, there is an inverse price relationship between complementary goods i.e an increase in the price of one results in decrease in the demand for the other. With this, it is conceivable that with increase in the price of petroleum, there will be less demand for cars, hence result in price crash occasioned by excess supply over demand.
Also, from the angle of the Federal government, the rich benefit more from the subsidy. People with ten cars will now find it unfunny fueling the convoy, and this may result in selling off some of the vehicles. This should further increase the supply of cars and drive down the price.
Let's talk about this, do you see the price of cars crashing? Let's leave out the Nigerian factor, corruption and base our argument on fact.
It could be a two way thing. Economics principle made us believe price should crash but the two way thing is: 1) buying a used car from the owner may come out cheap but, 2) imported cars (tokunbo or new) price absolutely depends on our exchange rate and custom duty. So, the subsidy removal wouldn't have effect here other than the decrease in importation .
Pele o kingmaker that choses Yoruba leader. So, he would have stood up in the hall and stone iwuanyanwu like a thug?? Why don't you present your leader past and present that has done or outperformed Obasanjo.
You can keep up with the public deceit, charade and role playing. We know what you are and what you stand for.
This same man sat in the hall, shinning his teeth, clapping his hand while a buff*lo like Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu of ohanenze reffered to the entire yoruba race as political rascals. The same race you sir belong to.
Hear me well sir, you a just a mere Fomer Nigeria president who is a yoruba. You are not and will never be recognise nor acknowledge as a Yoruba leader. You lost that honour, sir. Anything you do, say or wish to interfere in; nationally or politically, is no business of the yorubas and it doesnt represent us as a tribe; it is your own personal opinion, ambition or commitment.
You can keep aligning with the enemies of the southwest to bring down our leaders. While you continue masquerading as elder-stateman.
Tinubu is the greatest politician to ever emerge from southwest, standing alongside MKO and Awolowo . You either live with it or you keep fighting against it.
If he wasn't raped, there is nothing like he mistakenly had sex. Don't sleep with whom you can not accept her pregnancy
obembet: Many women have become a single mother today due to mistakes they were force to make by Thier partner.
It's very easy for a man to move one and remarry whenever he desires while many single mothers out there looking for who they will spend the rest of Thier lives with.
So, Should a man be force to marry a lady he impregnated by mistake?
Modernizer: well, i really need to settle down, and im really not the type that eadily gets into relationships. so im wondering how long it would take me to reach this extent again with a new person
It is better to measure the distance of getting to this stage again that counting the loss or damages that could come out from it all because you think it’s getting late and now , one could be left wondering how would you get out of the resulting chaos. But I appreciate the fact that you described yourself perfectly without hypocrisy. So I think the best solution is to work on yourself first (mindset) and you will find it easy getting the best out of your partner.
It further said, ” Benue under the Ortom administration ought to cooperate with the Federal Government in the implementation of a number of national strategies programs in addressing underlying issues militating against peace, progress and development. ” This can still get done when the interest of the people is placed above all other interests. A government voted into office by the people, should treat the people as its masters and not as its servants.”
This just corroborated Ortom’s claim that the presidency is aiding the happenings in Benue. Which of the fg national strategy should his administration cooperate with by force? Someone said he doesn’t want open grazing and ruga and that’s the only strategic plan of the government we all know. Now you are indirectly telling him that his failure to cooperate is what is affecting him. Has this statement of yours not justified him? Heartless set of people.
Afolak: All this missionary schools are now fully funded by the Kwara State Government. The state government recruit staffs and also renovate structures as at when due.Hitherto, there has been a judgement in the high court and appeal court here in ilorin that has given the go ahead to muslim students to wear hijab in those schools.Hijab is an injuction by ALMIGHTY ALLAH to female or women as the case may be,it is an identity of muslim women. You may also wish to seek for the court rulings on hijab in the case of LAGOS and OYO respectively.Let us all leave peacefully amongs ourselves and shun all religious bigotry.
And I want to believe the Muslim also will agree with a pastor’s child wearing robe to Ansarudeen and traditional worshiper adorning their regalia and everyone would claim it is commanded by whoever they worship. Or we should even imagine this scenario in the so called mission schools and imagine the consequence. Anyways... religion is a sword, continue using for whatever suits you.
