Who did the autopsy? Fine, whoever came up with the claim would definitely know the cause of the deaths. So why not expose the cause or the emir just wants his subjects to be rest assured it’s not Covid-19 but they will die ?

You’re talking out of point. You don’t need to be told that the SE has always join the SS to vote same candidate. A lot of your Yorubas are silent because they know what I’m saying is the truth. Politics is not turn by turn, if it was so, Igbos would have produced a president. Politics is a selfish game, the North will not abandon a Northern Candidate to vote a Yoruba come 2023 and to make it worst for the SW, they have no support from the South (SS & SE) so they can’t produce a president, unlike in 2011 when Jonathan had the support of the entire South and needed a percentage from the North. It is different now because the Yorubas have divided the South during the 2015 election. What reason will the Yorubas give the SS & SE to make them vote for a Yoruba?
This type of reasoning is why Nigerians is still wallowing in bad leadership. It’s a pity people are more concerned about the tribe that rules than the person , ability, capability, credential , credibility to say few, of the ruler. Political calculator continue.

PoliticsRe: I Will Suggest Day Lockdown And Night Life In Nigeria by Otsam(m): 1:26pm On Apr 26, 2020
Bringback9ja:
Instead of lifting this lockdown which I believe will aid the spread of the virus and render previous energy useless, I will advice the lockdown should be for day 7 am - 7 pm.

I believe a lot of people won't like to go out at night thereby reducing the wish to be out. Only those who have essential things to sell will be open for business. This will promote says of foodstuffs, face mask and other essential things. This in return will feed a small size of the population instead of total lockdown.

And also, there should be presence of security all over (including vigilantes). Electricity should be distributed mostly at night. Social gathering including religion gathering should be on hold for now.

THIS IS MY OPINION
So, which legit business should people come out for at night? And where should people that were locked down during the day get the money to buy essentials at night? Then you want them to take light during the day and provide it at night so the prisoners you have in there during the day would comply very well because of the relationship between electricity and boredom? Then if you are familiar with statistics, then you should be able to decided well that Lagos and Abuja locked down for four weeks experienced a massive increase in the cases, oyo that’s not locked but maintaining the precautions remained the lowest affected state in southwest. I think you need to reflect and reconsider.

Is heaven going to fall if they shuffle the burial hours so that less crowded would be less gathering since they must bury their dead same day?
You are right but my point is, we can’t seat at the comfort of our homes and castigate people far apart because judgments based on assumptions are most times biased. We don’t know the situation and circumstances that made them arrive at the same time, we don’t know the times individuals gave up the ghost, it might even be part of the regulations of the cemetery because they all have regulations. I’m not from the north but I think in this scenario, the larger chunk of the blame should be on their government.

Well you may be right to some extent that those people are careless but in this scenario, you can’t call them animals outrightly, the op said they gathered where so many people were being buried. Don’t forget that NCDC is not working presently on Kano therefore they did not confirm the death to result from Covid-19 which means state wouldn’t be taking over the burial, individuals will take care of their deceased. Now let’s assume as the op said many burials, let’s say 25 burials from 25 families, then atleast 4people to go bury their relatives, which means you will have 100people at the cemetery at once putting into consideration that Muslims burials are before 4pm. So this kind of scenario would be inevitable since the government has failed in the health sector (NCDC, testing and taking over burials of confirmed cases)

We will eventually exit this stage and restart our normal life but that stage is still a while to come and I ask for your endurance, support and patience. Lots of efforts are going on across the world to find new therapy , to find vaccine .

That’s it, it’s not like they lock people inside while they doing something to check the situation. They just lock people away, waiting for when their small god countries provides a vaccine. It’s not as if they have anything in their brain to do on their own. All they know is lockdown even when they are yet to up their testing capacity, so the infected ones are also locked together with their relatives so casualties will skyrocket. Now they said they are yet to know the cause of deaths in Kano, what else could it be? Continue lockdown aimlessly and keep incubating fatalities and economic woes. Clueless elements.

Bunch of hypocrites, beating chest over what is happening over there all because it would be televised. The Chinese are doing more than that right here on our soil under their nose. The treatments Nigerians gets in the Chinese factories here in Nigeria is worse and can just be called a modern slave trade. They know it, the labour people will go their just to collect brown envelopes in exchange for the blood and sweats of their fellow countrymen, the governors are getting rebates, the ministers are not left out. Nothing is heard about that because it’s going to affect their royalties. God will judge you all.

26 million filled unemployment form not because government sacked them but because some of them their emplers are badly affected by lockdown and downsized and the fact that they are provided with a place to declare their status is an obvious testimony that they are in government’s plan and hopeful after things settles. Also, Americans are not crying for food, they are only bothered that their freedom has been taken away by lockdown. Follow genuine news not dem say.

You locked around 40 million down for four weeks, tested less than ten thousand, crime sky rocketed, symptoms of anachy manifesting, yet you didn’t come up with a substantial likely way out. Now you want to lockdown 200million under the same condition? I hope one day, we will have sound minds in the helms of affairs in this nation not people that sees the measures of the westerners as a standard in dealing with issues not considering the differences in the conditions and situations on ground.
PoliticsRe: COVID-19: Why Government Must End The Lockdown by Otsam(m): 3:02am On Apr 23, 2020
Just like you made mention there, the government is clueless and lacks good advisers. It’s a pity we have people that just sees the developed countries decision as the standard not considering the variance in culture, economic terrain, resources and so on. It’s also disheartening how majority of our population just clamor for Pallatives because they are aware of donations forgetting that palliatives is the joy of our politicians because it’s the best looting channel. Instead of channeling the billions in testing and treatment that could have given us a headway without a prolonged lockdown, they chose to lockdown aimlessly without enough tests forgetting that the more you test, the more you discover new cases which may practically prolong the lockdown. So I agree with you that lockdown is not a way forward. Let the government channel their billions into testing and treatment and open up the economy, let people fend for themselves as usual. Imagine a state like Kogi with no testing centers but will be talking of lockdown and Pallatives, the governor said their are testing centers in neighboring states which means he’s just locking down because others are doing so and subjecting his people to hardship with no solution in view. It’s better to set up more test and treatment centers and let the citizens adhere strictly to preventive measures and open up the economy to avoid greater disasters.

PoliticsRe: APC Denies N500,000 Daily Allowance For COVID-19 Taskforce Members, Says Timi Fr by Otsam(m): 5:05pm On Apr 08, 2020
Infinixhot6:
Mid-week Press Release

APC Denies N500,000 Daily Allowance for COVID-19 Taskforce Members, Says Timi Frank is a Blackmailer

A leading support group of the ruling All Progressives Congress known as APC Mandate Defenders (APCMD) has debunked claims by Comrade Timi Frank alleging that daily allowance for members of the Presidential Taskforce for the Control of Coronavirus is N500,000.

In a statement released to newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday by the National Publicity Secretary of the group, Mr. Ifeanyi Emeka, the group said Timi Frank is a known blackmailer who fabricates fake stories and disseminate such to unsuspecting members of the public.

The group noted that no money has been released to the taskforce, saying members are only making sacrifice for the containment of the disease in our collective interest.

Adding that the billions that have been donated by individuals and organisations did not come to the taskforce but went to the Nigerian Private Sector Coalition against COVID-19 which is headed and managed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

The group further explained that while donations made by foreign governments and organisations went to the United Nations family in Nigeria who manages it, the third category of donations by oil companies went to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) who manages it as well.

The fourth and last category of the fund which is government money is what goes to the taskforce and up till now, no money has been made available to the taskforce.

We therefore wonder where Comrade Timi Frank got his figures from?

As a leading support group of the ruling party, we can tolerate other forms of joke against the Presidential Taskforce but will not condone false accusation and blatant lies against members of the taskforce who have been working-out their heart to contain the spread of the virus as well as eradicate it from the country.

We therefore call on the members of the public to disregard the false accusation made against the taskforce by Comrade Timi Frank.

SIGNED

Mr. Ifeanyi Emeka,
National Publicity Secretary,
APC Mandate Defenders
But Timi Frank did not accuse apc or APCMD rather the presidency/federal government. And I don’t think APCMD is part of the decision makers neither are they the task force team, so why are they fast to defend what doesn’t come from their office or what they are not beneficiaries.

So, why can’t the couple apologize as well or are they operating under different laws? No wonder the executives are doing whatever they like every day when they knows quite well that the judiciary is in coma.

So the president of a country being in the front lines is a commendable move?

Hello, if you truly know about leadership, you won't compose what you have up there. So if a confrontation happens and he is shot dead, what would be your conclusion.

Is he a combatant, Airforce or Naval officer. What skill does he have to be in the front lines.

So you expect MTN CEO to climb a Telecom mast when their is a major outage.

It's demoralises, insult and ridicule to the Generals in his cabinet. And same time and insult to his office to have appointed incompetent lots that had to warrant him to go to the frontlines.

We talking about a No 1 man of a country.
It’s not about going to the war front. But by taking measures that shows he’s concerned and boost the morals of the combatants. Did you see Debby shooting? But he just identified a way to boost his army morals and get their effeciecy. Now compare him to his neighbor that even his words demoralizes the people at the war front like him saying he doesn’t know the terrorists are still operating which means he doesn’t know his army are at the war front. Someone that doesn’t know people are at the war front, how do you expect him to fortify them with weapons? Even when the chief of army staff could open his mouth and say it’s no longer in their power but it is spiritual, what do you expect of the morals of the combatants at the war front? Or you compare the Chadian that went out to make his army know that their is no going back and no mercy for terrorists to the one that welcomes terrorists and treats them lavishly and leave his army dying at the war front. Now judge who is fighting terrorism.

He should appoint Ajimobi as new Chief of Staff. If not Ajimobi, then Oshiomhole will be a fitting person for the job and post.
I think Buhari will only appoint another chief of staff if Kyari dies because it is obvious that Buhari-Kyari bond is beyond the cos office. Even if worse happens as for Kyari, expect the likes of Kingibe because the cabal will never have the auxiliary president come from outside the cabal.

If the rest of the majority decides to take loan and improve there spaces, excluding them like the case of $22 billion, what do you expect them to do?

It's called conspiracy. if the nationals are taxed to pay back will they spare us? Didn't you hear Abaribe shouting over the exclusion of the Eastern part?
That’s exactly what I am saying about accountability. Abaribe just discharged his duty there and everyone saw that and the voice heard by all. Even in the 8th senate, he was very active and that’s the job they are sent there to do. Let’s assume Abaribe was out of the country for this period, what are the remaining 14 senators representing east doing that they couldn’t discharge their duty? That’s what I meant by accountability. This dispensation is known for nepotism and they will try you with insolence it is now left for your representatives to contest/challenge it as sen Abaribe is doing.
