And some people will still come and defend the yeye gvt [1quote author=SalamRushdie post=133966888]Electricity tarriff in Nigeria is already higher than some US states yet Jagaban is not satisfied .I have not seen such a heartless govt[/quote] |
Nigeria’s power prices need to rise by about two thirds for many customers to reflect the cost of supplying it and an increase can be expected within months, President Bola Tinubu’s special adviser on energy said. Higher electricity tariffs, which need to be balanced by subsidies for less-affluent consumers, are required to fund the maintenance needed to improve reliability and to attract private investors into power generation and transmission, said the adviser, Olu Verheijen. “One of the key challenges we’re looking to resolve over the next few months is transitioning to a cost-efficient but cost-reflective tariff,” Verheijen said in an interview in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, this week. This is needed “so the sector generates revenue required to attract private capital, while also protecting the poor and vulnerable,” she said. Tinubu has already taken a number of steps to ease the burden on state finances and encourage private investment since taking office in May 2023, including removing subsidies on motor fuel. Power prices were already tripled for some customers last year. While Nigeria, a nation of about 237 million people, has an electricity access rate of around 62%, an erratic grid supply limits productivity and disrupts daily life. The move to raise tariffs comes amid mounting pressure from Nigeria’s debt-burdened electricity distribution companies for tariffs to be cost-reflective so they can improve their finances. The country privatized generation and distribution in 2013, yet prices set by the government’s Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission don’t cover the suppliers’ costs. Government subsidies cover some of the difference, but profitability is hard to achieve. Verheijen was in Tanzania attending a World Bank-backed conference where Nigeria presented a $32 billion plan to boost electricity connections by 2030. Private investors are expected to contribute $15.5 billion and the rest will come from public sources, including the World Bank and African Development Bank. Source: businessday. |

This happened out of fear of losing her, we had Oath with the Holy Bible, when I got admission into the university she could not keep up to the relationship, and she left me to date another guy. I found out after she left I have not had any healthy relationship, is either the person I love don't love me or the person who wants me I don't want the person or maybe when I i enter into a relationship with a girl after some months she starts getting cold feed. Though we did break the oath before her death. I don't know If it is the oath that is still affecting me.

Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo By Ikenna Obianeri Kindly share this story: The Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has suspended four school principals across the state for their disobedience to the “free education policy” of the state government. This was disclosed in a press statement issued by the Public Relations Officer in the state Ministry of Education, Nnaemeka Egwuonwu, on Tuesday. Egwuonwu said the sanction was announced by the Commissioner for Education Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh. The statement read, “Soludo has stepped down four schools’ Principals for non-compliance to the solution-free education policy of Anambra State Government. The stepping down of the principals was announced by the Commissioner for Education Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh. “The Commissioner stated that a committee has been constituted to investigate the activities of the affected principals. She further stated that if found culpable, the Principals would be made to refund the amount collected. It is surprising that after a series of announcements on the Solution free education policy by Mr Governor, the Principals could still be alleged to have flouted the policy.” Soludo, during his visits to Premier Primary School Odume Obosi and Ado Girls Secondary School Onitsha, announced that in line with the solution-free education policy, no child from early childhood education and development up to Junior Secondary School is required to pay any fee whatsoever. While no student in the Senior Secondary should pay anything more than N5,000, the policy was further amplified by the governor in a meeting he had with Principals and Headteachers at the International Conference Centre, Awka, on Saturday. |

DECENTBWOY:First of all if you can initiate sleep but can't stay at sleep. Them your Cass is simple. All you need is behavioral changes like changing your sleep routine or lifestyle. I have been battling with insomnia since 2015, which my doc said it a disorder not a disease. My own is acute I can't initiate sleep or fall asleep, my BP was constantly high and I was placed on sleep med and BP drugs. My advice is just change your lifestyle and watch what you eat and do before bed time. |
IconicR:I'm just hearing this for the first time. I have acute insomnia since 2015, with no underline issues. My doc placed me on sleeping med. I can't iniate sleep or sleep. It horrible that I can't sleep on my own. Insomnia is bad and u don't wish it for my enemies. |
