There will be no Biafra.

We all know this

There will be no Biafra.

The world powers will not allow it.

Nigeria will not allow it.

Other ethnic groups been pulled along with them will not allow it. Without them, biafra will be a land locked country inside Nigeria.

The international law states that both parties have to be in agreement before separation.

Like Czechoslovakia and Sudan.

If a war starts as with Yugoslavia and the country is torn apart with foreign power backing like Kosovo, Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

In the case of Nigeria/ Biafra. The foreign powers are more in agreement that they do not want anything to destabilize Nigeria. It is not because they love Nigeria. More because it affects them drastically. Price of crude oil, unpaid loans, business will be severely affected even if there is a peaceful separation.

Let's examine the backers of Nigeria during the last attempt at Biafra.

Actively supported by NATO ( USA and UK)

By the Warsaw pact ( USSR, Bulgaria )

And all the rest indirectly.

Egypt, Syria and Algeria.

With exception of USA all had advicers on the ground and Egyptians and Algerians flew combat missions.

Since WWII the only conflict that had Americans British and Soviets on the same side.

How about now? The same just add China and other BRICS in the equation as they had already investigated a lot.

So has the EU.

So who backed Biafra last time.

France, Portugal and Spain. They were promised mining and crude oil exploration rights. I do not think they are in any position to abandon EU and go by themselves this time.

Apartheid South Africa and Rhodesia. Supported Biafra because Nigeria was their biggest enemy in Africa. They no longer exist.

Israel supported Biafra. I do not know their motive except that they were strong allies of South Africa.

So peacefully they can not separate. No one will let them

Violently again they will loss after millions have died. Nigeria will be heavily backed by the world powers.

They know that too, so why bother?

Here is a secret about Nigeria. Fastest way to be rich. Start an separatist movement or local uprising. The Government tends to pay them off. They usually retire in South Africa after been “settled” So Kanu, one of the main pushers for Biafia will soon vanish quietly after he becomes a real nuisance and the government gives him his pay off.

They are not the first and will not be the last.

What does this comment have to do with the question? Must every thread serve as a medium for you to insult the opposite sex?

It's a culturally accepted standard here in Nigeria that the man is the breadwinner of the house and as such should be the primary financial provider. It doesn't matter how much the wife is earning. A man earning 35,000 shouldn't be thinking of marriage. Any woman irrespective of how much she is earning who agrees to marry such a man isn't a wise woman.

198800Mam:
*Difference between old time church service and modern time church service.*

1. When the choristers of the old time finish singing, the congregation burst into tears because they sang
down the glory, but in the modern, after the Delilahs and Jezebels finish singing, the congregation respond with a clap offering returning Ichabod to Ichabod.

2. In the old, during message, the congregation cry and tell God that they are
sorry, but today, as message is going on people
drop money, blow whistle and shout "ride on pastor".

3. The old went to Church and the message gave them faith but the modern went to church and the message gave them fake (olive oil, handkerchief, apron, sticker, holy water and calendars of their G. O.)

4.The ancient carried their bible in booklet because they were not ashamed of Jesus but some today carry ipad to church because they
feel shy to be identified with Jesus and to such, Jesus will be ashamed of you on the last day.

5. The old go to church with their hair covered with their head ties but the modern cover their hair with Brazillian weavon.

6. During prayers, the ancient close their eyes and give God their whole attention but the modern open their eyes, looking around like armedrobbers and even answers calls during prayers.

7. The old dance godly dance to thanksgiving and offering but the modern is not even afraid to dance doro, awilo and azonto even before the altar.

8. The ancients go to church with their body covered and are focused on inner beauty but the modern wears mini skirt, show everything, and everything on her is artificial and ends up looking like "mermaid". They are prone to falling at the slightest prayer because all she is putting on has a demon attached to it.

9. In the old, sinners go home weeping but today sinners go home rejoicing.

10. The ancients answer altar calls with tears rolling down their faces. The modern do the same chewing gum.

O Lord, revive your work. May revival precede the rapture.
God bless you do have a blissful day.

Imagine church members will keep on saying my pastor said instead God said.

PoliticsRe: Despite Recession, States, Others Spend Over N136.5bn On Hajj by Otunba2004(m): 7:43pm On Sep 02, 2017
Statsocial:
Gbenro Adeoyeand

Jesusegun Alagbe

At least N136.5bn has been spent on Hajj in 2017 by state governments and individuals despite the current recession in the country,Saturday PUNCHinvestigation has revealed.

According to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, no fewer than 91,000 Nigerians had arrived in Saudi Arabia out of the over 1.7 million foreign pilgrims in the country to perform this year’s Hajj. Meanwhile, the average Hajj fare approved by NAHCON to states for each traveller is N1.5m.

For example, information made available by NAHCON showing the approved 2017 Hajj seats and fares per state disclosed the package for travellers from Nasarawa State as N1,544,659.85; Niger, N1,525,483.30; Ondo, N1,485,096.07; Katsina, N1,498,502.70; Bauchi, N1,523,122.41; Plateau, N1,529,036.80; Sokoto, N1,521,461.65; and Kwara, N1,501,571.27, among others.

Therefore, at an average fare of N1.5m, 91,000 Nigerians would have spent a minimum of N136.5bn on the exercise, with part of it coming from public purse provided by state governments.

Although going on Hajj at least once in a lifetime is one of the five pillars of Islam, the Quran described it as a religious obligation that is meant for the faithful who can afford it. Meanwhile, visiting Jerusalem for pilgrimage is not an obligation for Christians.

However, state governments have been sponsoring people to Mecca and Jerusalem for pilgrimage andSaturday PUNCHhas information that Katsina, Bauchi, Plateau and Sokoto states had sponsored people on pilgrimage this year.

For instance, Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State recently disclosed that his administration had been subsidising Hajj exercise for Muslims with N1bn annually.
Masari, while inaugurating an 18-member board for the Katsina State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board, had said no amount spent on religious activities could be considered as too much and described pilgrimage to Mecca as “neither a picnic nor a holiday, but an act of worship, as enshrined in the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad.”

Similarly, the Bauchi State Government spent over N262,650,000 as subsidy on the state’s Muslim pilgrims to this year’s Hajj.
Governor Mohammed Abubakar had disclosed this while delivering his farewell address to 3,090 pilgrims, where he boasted that the state could afford the sponsorship despite economic recession.

“Despite the economic hardship situation, this administration has continued to fund the operation of the state Pilgrims Welfare Board, both at home and at the holy land, so as to guarantee your comfort and satisfaction.
“We have also subsidised the cost of your accommodation in Mecca, upon which the government had to pay at least the sum of 850 Saudi Riyals (N85,000) for each of you so that you will be accommodated in a beautiful edifice close to the Haram,” Abubakar had said.

Also this year, the Plateau State Government went back on its 2015 decision to no longer sponsor both Muslims and Christians on pilgrimage due to the dwindling economic fortune of the state.

It was reported that the state government had sponsored 616 Muslims for the 2017 Hajj, with the state governor, Simon Lalong, saying at a farewell ceremony for the pilgrims from the state that the state government was willing to make the “sacrifice as a result of the relevance of holy pilgrimage to the citizens of the state.”

The Sokoto State Government had spent N91m to sponsor 90 Islamic clerics to the lesser Hajj in June.

The state Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Alhaji Mani Katami, had also announced that each of the benefiting clerics was entitled to a Basic Travelling Allowance of N250,000.
State governments’ sponsorship of pilgrimage has been going on for long. Last year, the Executive Secretary, Taraba State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Umar Leme, said the state government had released N288.5m to sponsor about 166 persons on Hajj.

it's high time for state and federal to stay away from sponsor anybody to hajj or Jerusalem, religion is personal thing, I don't know why our government keep in wasting people tax on irrelevant thing, if anybody likes to visit holy land that means you have money to do so, nobody stop you doing it but our government using religion as a way of campaigns.

Kanu need holistic approach to win this war

Pedagogue:
@Obembet(post above) well said...

1. How can Buhari address Nigerians in Hausa language? Is he the President of the North or all Nigerians?

2. Why an audio message? Why not get him to deliver a video message if he's not impaired like they want us to believe?

3. Is this a confirmation that Osinbajo is a 'coordinator' and not the Acting President? If not, why is a President that has handed power and all other appurtenances to the Acting President still acting as the President? Nigeria cannot have a 'President ' and an 'Acting President' at the same time.

4. Why has Buhari refused to declare his medical bills. He's spending OUR money. We deserve to know.

5. Why is Buhari so desperate to remain as our President even though he's clearly very sick and Old?The Presidency is not marriage.A marriage is 'for better for worse, in health and in sickness...'but being a President is about being able to perform certain responsibilities.

6. Finally, why is the National Assembly afraid to impeach him? If Buhari could call for Yar'adua's impeachment over ill health, he has no moral reason to remain in office too!

Before you hurl insults at me, I supported Buhari, voted for him and got many people to vote for him. Truth be told, his presidency has been a huge disappointment. Buhari will go down in history as a President that had a lot of goodwill, but allowed ethnic bigotry and poor decision making to destroy his government.

My recommendation to the National Assembly: start impeachment proceedings against him NOW!
[/color]
my brother God will bless for this your analysis you're not bias at all meanwhile truth must be told likewise me I voted for Buhari infact persuade my neighbors to vote for him but I regret voting for Buhari since his 1year in office I have seen it all that this man is big scam for us, my brother I pray we won't make this kind big mistake again in our life.

I cant understand the agitation of Niger Delta Avenger may be somebody should enlight me more in this forum, but let me do my own analysis in the way i understand first.Niger Delta have been complaining of marginalization in the region then they also said that their resources used to developed other states in the country also saying that federal government left their region without any substantial developments. Now my own argument is that why Niger Delta Avenger can not hold their leaders accountable instead of fighting federal government, all Niger Delta governors collected allocation from Abuja infact their own allocations are robust more than any other states in the country(13%derivation)but still those governors refused to develop those states.federal government even go further to established NDDC also ministry of Niger Delta, government was putting all these things in place just to make the region developed but to my own amazing nothing to show in those region as development,so whose fault.
