Spectro: Good morning, gurus in the house.
Please I'd like to know if health insurance is often required for study permit application.
And if not, do Visa officers expect students to set aside money for health insurance?
More so, do most Canadian schools compel students to have a health insurance? That onebwouod be settled when you enter canada..u don't need it now during study permit processing... |

Jayrealest: Please is official transcript mandatory before admission to University of Calgary, or will the unofficial transcript be used for admission, so that after admission one can now submit the official transcript. Gurus in the house please help The truth is some schools accept unofficial transcript for processing the admission while they await the official one while some will ask u to send in the original before they touch your file sef...in whatever method you use, you'll still need the official transcript... |

awys: Please don't put your self into a deeper mess with this .There is nothing like arranging bank statement for proof of funds don't let them give you fake docs that will put you into trouble there is nothing like arranging bank statement for immigration to be forewarned is to beforearm A word is enough for the wise!!! 1. With the current MBS method, you'll be easily found out. 2. If the person send bold money into your account without any relationship, itll be regarded as lump sum, and what relationship is between you two,. 3. The person would also pay part of your fees from his or her account...so think about it well before using that method. You must either explain the lumpsum, and the person must be ready to leave the money till when your application is completed |

Dbankx1: I’m not so sure about this, I had an account that was created on sept 2020 by my father and was deposited with 7m for my studies, I explained that in my sop, and my father explained that in his statment of sponsorship and I was granted ppr. I think you just have to be honest and make it make sense Chief it means you didnt read deomannuels response cos I only explained what 12months n 6months mean... however, deomannuel gave him the best response by telling him to write a letter that his bank isnt on the MBS list...hope you understand now. |

I want to ask about this *mybankstatement* I am planning to go to zenith Bank and first bank to request for my bank statements and then scan and upload directly into my application. What is your view about this ? Or it's a must I use mybankstatement? If it's a must, please is zenith and first bank working for my bank statements for now ? If yes, how do I go about it ? Lastly, in paying the study permit application fee, which one works better ? First bank or zenith Bank ? I have mastercards for both. Gurus help #afomon It's been difficult paying for application fee with any Nigerian bank o... Just go to zenith bank and request for MBS ,they'll forward it to the candian embassy form their end, and only send u a ticket containing ID n Passowrd that you'll now scan n upload. |

maestro09: Please in a case where an applicant provided two sponsors’ statement of account alongside the applicant’s statement of A, and then an NSE request was gotten.
Would the applicant have to submit MBS for all the three initial statements, or can the MBS for the main sponsor be submitted alone if it has well over 30k CAD? You can submit only the main sponsor if the funds there are enough for the expenses. If the co sponsor also wrote a letter of support, you'll need to submit the persons MBS too |

Tim4humanity: I have a 2.1 bsc information technology, my sponsor is my dad (he declared 8mil naira), he is retired. But I am partly funding my education in Canada from a joint estate account owned by me and my sister but bears my late mother's name because the account was opened to transfer funds owed by the Nigerian FG (declared 16mil naira) Chief, with 2.1 u cant be going for PGD, you ought to have put in for MSC. That's a concern to the VO as per purpose of visit, this guy just wants to leave his country.. About the available funds, it's fine, just rewrite the LOE that d funds declared are available with vivid evidence of where the money is coming from, those ones are generic. Once you tackle the purpose of visit, the others are small..apply for MSC n not Pgd..it will end in praise. |

Good day chief, in as much as I understand that u have x5 of the required funds, I'll like to ask if you explained where the funds came from, because they also know about Nigerians accumulating funds from different sources just to boost their application, they've been reviewing for years too, the best bet is to show 1year fees plus living expenses funds..and also explain where the funds came in from with evidences e.g receipts of payments, itself it was via contract, the evidence of the contract and who paid it..you know, they need evidn3ce of how the money came in.... Legacyedition: GCMS note out.
VO saying he's not sure how the fund was accumulated, then go ahead to say he's not sure fund will be sufficient for study again.. Available fund is more than X5 of whole study cost.
Kindly advise generally.

Psychosocial: Has anyone here been successful using bank statements not from "mybankstatement" , and also do they expect the statement have to reflect through the 6month and 12month period He just gave you the best advice...12 months period means your account must have been running for1yr n above. Then the 6months means they need the statement for a period of 6months..just do as deoemmanuel advised, it will end in praise. |

I have gotten admission already from a school that didn’t require it because I’m a citizen of Nigeria.
But I’m thinking I should add it to my application as a supporting document just incase.
I wrote this Particular IElTS exam last year when I thought I was going to apply for PR / express entry whatever

Tim4humanity: Hello Everyone In the house, I can't thank you guys enough for the life saving information you all post here, that's why I always come here when I need helpful information. Well long story short, I think I might have hit a stumbling block with my study abroad journey. I just received my refusal letter from the Canadian embassy and my refusal was based on these two reasons : • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
Based on the second point, I presented 23m naira as my proof of funds from a joint estate account owned my me and my sister (i also stated in my SOP and presented a letter signed by my sister that the funds in the joint estate will be directed towards my education in Canada). I don't know why they gave the refusal based on the first point. Adding to this; I have a bsc in Information Technology, I applied for a PG diploma in Data Analysis in Langara college Vancouver. The only work experience I have related to this course was in my nysc service year (2019/20), will the gap in employment affect my application ?. Please, our travel abroad guru's in the house @Frankrobbn1, @JustMellow can be of any help please. I just need some assistance on how I can tackle this issue and structure my next SOP during my next application. Thank you very much. Whats Your bsc grade, 2.1 or 2.2? And how much did you declare? Who's your sponsor ? |

Ara2004: House. I just read this few minutes ago. I don't think a police clearance certificate is required for a study permit application. With the information below, i am not applying for a PR and i am not declaring any criminal record. Who also shares my view?
Police certificate and IRCC requirements
You must provide a police character certificate when you apply for permanent residence in Canada.
You will also be requested to provide a police certificate to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) if you declared a criminal record on your application for an electronic travel authorization, work permit or study permit. YES you dont need police report for SP, only for PR application |
