FrostyButter: Hello house... As regards my proof of funds, my mum was able to secure 30k CAD to put in my account which is very sufficient for my tuition plus expenses for a year. She also would be supporting it with a gift letter, being that i haven't had that much deposit in my account. Would also be keeping it there for 6 months.
Is my account statement with this amount alone sufficient, cause she had to drain her account for this.
Also as regards ties in Nigeria, she also made a gift letter of transfer as regards one of her housings properties. She had a health issue last year she is recovering from. Should i also put that as ties to my country, supporting it with medical reports?
I have cousins working in canada professionally. Would they serve as ties in canada, and should i include them?
I also have a letter from the company i work for (a professional one in line with my course of study) promising employment upon completion of study.
Would these be sufficient for proof of funds and ties back home and in canada. Thanks.
Cc : OtunbaTee JustMellow Lekiboboe YOU DON'T NEED TIES IN CANADA, "they want you to come back to your home country after studying"(in quote) so your home tie should be very strong. Leave your siblings in Canada out of your application, it worked against me in my first application so had to remove it in my LOE in the 2nd application. Let the money be your mums account as lump sum towards SP application is a concern for the VO. like let your mum write a letter of support that the money would be made available for your trip and this is the total amount shes dropping ( 1st year fees plus living expenses) |

Please in POF, after paying 1year tuition, like how much will be enough as POF to be shown in the account.
If I show balance of tuition+CAD10,000+flight money (estimate), will it be enough?
Thanks. It should be, your LOE and career progression should be priority, cos some people have showed more thank enough bank balance and still get delayed..focus more on building a strong LOE and future plans as to why uve chosen the Canada.. and it will end in praise.. |

If you did two-way, did you have to call the courier company or VFS contacted them to come and pick your passport up? If you paid for 2way courier, you don't have to call anyone.. VFS will handle it themselves. All u need do is wait for their return email and then go ahead and track your parcel online.. |

Teeebabyyy: Goodday NL
Transcript issue; I applied to University of Manitoba UG fall semester and I was asked to provide an official Transcript before july7. The issue here is NASU and SSANU are currently on an indefinite strike so the processing of the transcript is on hold till God knows when. Do ya'll think I should email the school telling them the current situation or I should wait till the strike is called off. Also, must the official transcript be provided before I can be given Admission or my application can be evaluated with the unofficial transcript and necessary documents I provided??
Please gurus in the house, help me out. I experienced this too, but had to wait till when the school was ready to send it..since the situation is beyond your control.. just mail the school and attach ny evidence that Assu n Sanu are on strike so they can give u an extensive date to submit which is unknown for now...also let them know you have unofficial copy.. Also you can get your school to stamp the unofficial with you( both school envelope and copy) then u can send it via dhl..I also did this too...mind you I have ND n Bsc |

Baphil: Good morning people of God. I hope we are well and receiving our PPR left, right and centre.
My friend received the attached mail this morning after several webforms and emails. It looks like they are insisting on the NSE requirements even after the date has expired and normal processing time has passed too.
Their attached mail is still the same NSE request letter of 19th November 2020.
She wrote back to tell them she had already written to them stating she can't meet up and that she has opted for the normal processing time.
What do you gurus think? It's just a reminder...they'll still follow normal route if she doesn't respond...confirm the letter though if it has that clause...it will end in praise.. |

KikkyQ: Good evening NL.
Please is it smart to submit an application for a study permit even if I have a pending visiting application that I have not gotten feedback from?
I applied for a renewal of my Canada visiting Visa in April 2020. Haven’t gotten any feedback till date. I got admission into a School in Canada and now want to process my study visa. Let me also mention that I am in the pool.
Do you think the VO would deny me the visa on the grounds that I already have a pending application with them- the visiting visa and the EE profile. My sister says I would appear desperate to the VO which I am inclined to disagree with.
I would like the guru to offer assistance pleaseeee. @lekiboboe @otunbatee pleaseee Not at all,no issues with dual intent...once your application is genuine and complete...you can go ahead. |

The cases of refusal after AIP was rampant amongst the Indians, Pakistanis, Kazakhanstans.

Lyndaa22: Good day all, I need an urgent advice on my application. I applied by myself on the 10th of September 2020 and my application was rejected on the 17th of September. I was confused because before making the application I showed a lot of experienced agents all my Document and they did some adjustment and they said it was perfect, I was like 90% sure of my profile. After my first application was rejected, I was really sacred so I went through an agent in Canada and she reapplied for me. The time line of my 2nd application goes like this: Application date - 27th September 2020 Biometrics - 2nd of November 2020 NSE request – 12th November 2020 NSE submitted -24th November 2020 Additional document request (Employment letter) – 14th January 2021 Additional document submitted - 15th January 2021 And it was the last I heard from them, no updates at all. I haven’t done a medical upfront although I booked for 18th of February 2021 with the hope that I would have a medical request before then. My agent has sent couple of mails to them, I personally sent webforms but no update yet. My major issue is that I have paid my first term school fees because the school gave a deadline (school fees can be refunded if visa was denied). Lectures resumed on the 18th of January with online classes, because of time difference and work (I work in a bank), I haven’t been attending classes, I just try to read on my own and it hasn’t really been easy for me because the write tests every day, I have missed a lot of test if not all. I tried to defer but the school said they don’t defer and I can’t quit my job yet because if things don’t work out as planned, I would be jobless and you know what it means to be jobless in this country. Honestly this has been a really rough phase for me, I am so confused, I don’t know what to do anymore, my agent keeps telling me to have patience that it would come but the more I wait the more I miss a lot from school which would definitely affect my grades at the end. Is there anything I can do about this situation? Its draining me mentally. The truth is application these days requires tons of patience, because of the pandemic. 1. In order not to be mentally drained, hard times do not last long, you'll have to strive to meet up with classes as you have started already, also email each lecturer on your current predicament, I believe they'll reason with you, like thay can organise a private test 4u. 2. Email and raise webforms concerning your application status and let them know you've started classes online, and the delay is causing you mental absenteeism to concentrate on your classes as you're eager to know the outcome of your application. 3. Continue with your job and input EXTRA efforts to passing your courses, because you would not like to lose the amount you've invested. Cos schools abroad have a particular grade you must meet, if not na to pay extra..so pls strive hard to make good grades and it will end in praise... |

Based on your explanation I will have to convince him to start operating the account even if its for this purpose. tedious but mehn.... Thanks a lot once again.
But just to be clear on your advice, do you mean whatever money he wants to give me is best transferred from his account to mine and I must also submit his SOA? Yes, But let him explain in his letter of support that he has never operated a bank account and reason behind this decision. It will end in praise. |

Thaiy: Hello People,
I applied to Memorial University Newfoundland, Canada, for fall 2021. I submitted my application on the 26th of January, 2021.
I got a response from School of graduate studies (sgs) for the receipt of my application, stating once formal decision is reached I will be contacted.
For the funding of my application, I have asked a distant family tie (an uncle) who is a business owner to serve as my sponsor. He is willing to provide his company account statements and other required documents needed to be provided by financial sponsor.
Elders in the house, what other documents will he need to make available besides his bank statement? I need this so I can reach out to inform of the these, so it can be easily made available.
Please avail me with all necessary information.
Thank you in anticipation.

FrostyButter: Hello,house..Planning on applying for NSE and I need advice regarding proof of funds. I'm a civil engineer, working for a civil engineering firm applying for a civil engineering program. My firm is willing to act as my sponsor as regards proof of fund for the 30k Canadian dollars. Can I use this? is it advisable? Plus, should I support this with my own personal account with about 10k CAD?
Please I need an urgent reply so I can give my company feedback on time...thank you.
Cc : Time2soar1 its dicey using your company as sponsor, because VO might want to ask, why is your company sponsoring and investing such huge amount into your trip. Why are you not doing same course in Nigeria while they invest same. Also you'll have to proof the bond between you n your company and what's in it for them to have decided to sponsor you...so manyquestions to be answered before using them as sponsor. When you convincingly answer those questions then you can with faith use them... |

sweetchi2411: Good day all, i am so happy to have stumbled on this thread after watching a youtube video about Study route being the best to migrate to Canada.
I am a graduate of Computer science (4.1/5.0)
I am married with 3 children but intend to leave them with my husband and go alone first.
I am working in a hospital, though i use computer for my work, my job function is Medical Record Officer.
Graduated in 2011, ran a farm with my husband for a while, went to learn skills like sewing and plaiting before i got my present job as a record officer in 2018. I am 36years.
My questions are these: 1. Considering the study gap from 2011 to 2021, will i have a problem with getting a visa?
2. Since my job function is not in IT, will i run into any problem?
3. My husband intend to sell of one our property and sponsor me, hope the lump sum wont cause issues for us?
4. I have never travelled out of the country before, hope that is not a problem?
5. I thought about going for a course that is Medical record related, but the courses are mainly certificate and diploma, i don't want a situation where eyebrows will be raised on why i am going for a lower degree... So i intend to go for Cybersecurity(Msc.)
6. While trying to migrate through EE or Provincial Nominee, i started Masters to boost my CRS score, but am not through, do i need to mention that?
Please seniors in the house, help a sister and give me direction if my intention on relocating through study route with these 'baggages' is feasible.
Congrats (and in advance) to all who have gotten their approval Answers. 1. NO 2. You need to get a school that'll first admit you, then you can write a LOE why you're going for that programme. E.g My Bsc is CIT 2011 too and I'm going for Global management in 2021, so study gap isn't a problem since LOE explained why I'm going for GM. 3. No, he'll explain in his support letter that he sold the because he needed it to fund your trip and also the money would be in his account, so attach evidence. 4. No, I have also NEVER left Ngeria before. 5. Cybersecurity is a very nice course. Reason u should get admitted first, then you can convincingly explain to the VO how cybersecurity has been your passion an with you IT background it should be a problem. 6. Dont mention MSC in you application atalllllll. I. You haven't finished it and Ii. It will be a hurdle against he MSC application. It will end in praise. |

mobbwc: Good day everyone, I have gone through this thread and found very useful and assuring info. Thanks and well done to everyone. I have a few questions though:
1. Sponsor does not operate a bank account-In the rare occasion that a sponsor (a businessman) has a lucrative business and is willing to pay/send me the required funds to cater for studying abroad and this sponsor does not operate a bank account, deals in cash travels abroad to buy goods pay in cash too etc. is it good enough to have such a sponsor send the required funds into my account and we execute a deed of gift and I sufficiently prove our family connection(same surname etc).
My worry is, it may be a redflag that I am not submitting the sponsor's SOA, although I can prove the existence of his business via incorp certificate, shops rents, travel and purchase history and receipts etc.
2. Dual Intent - I understand DUAL INTENT has been discussed here and it has been said clearly that if a person can successfully meet the requirement of both immigration routes the person will be fine, I need to ask about POF in this regard, can I use this lump sum gift (in no 1) to also meet the EE requirement while also mentioning it as my study POF? May sound silly but in the actual sense if either of the application is successful the funds will actually be applied towards living expenses whether as a PR or Student.
I look forward to your candid advice and comments. Did the person actually say he/she doesn't have a bank account? Because you definitely need a SOA to show POF. no 2 ways about it. Also depositing a lump sum into your account prior to your application will definitely raise a brow. You can only encourage your sponsor to open an account and also pay part of your fees from that account , when you solve number 1, then number 2 would be easy....it will end in praise. |
