First IPOB was waving Biafra flags and were gunned down in cold blood. They were nonviolent. Nigeria Government provoked them to pick up arms and defend themselves. Even you will do same in that situation.
Secondly, our political leaders are not interested in the agitations because they are government workers under oath to work for Nigerian interests. In addition, they are very corrupt and don't represent the interests of their people. If they don't represent the views and interests of their people how do you think they will support a cause that would benefit the people? It's so unfortunate that we have these kind of leaders. You and I know how the rules work in the national assemblies. It's a game of number which the SE doesn't have. Referendum can not be achieved because of the numerical strength of those on the other divide.

Biafran fought and lost a war to Nigeria. And thus was forced to be part of the federating states in Nigeria.
