Abeg any update... I think we have deliberated enough on this test, interview, merit and what not...
Can we now move forward from all that
I think the main thing now is to know when DPR will call successful candidates. I pray the odds be in our favour as we earnestly hope to hear from DPR. This recruitment should just come to an end so we can move on with our lives

Those instruments are not common, they are used for serious geophysical explorations and couldn't remember them

I think the surest bet in your case is to mention some of the instruments and the properties they measure. Or if there is a general term those instruments are called, you just mention it.

Bros name one. I was thinking about instruments for measuring properties like temperature, mass, weight etc... But on a second thought, are these properties really earth properties?

Where I fumble was after giving them the correct answer about types of seismic, I could not remember the major types of seismic survey. That was the only sub question I failed. I nearly cried. I got every other question correctly

The question isn't specific. Depends on the earth property you are trying to measure.

My guy I sharply gave them the earth properties I know like gravity, electromagnetism, seismic, electrical. As I was about going further, they quickly asked me the second question

I was asked the most difficult question during the interview. Pls who knows the instrument for measuring earth's properties... I am a geologist. That question threw me off balance..

The list is currently with the chairman FCC, no one can access it now. A committee will sit to verify if the process obeyed FCC principles. The date of this exercise is yet to be fixed but until then, sit tight.

I strongly believe u, ur information is in line with that of neverdown's. There is a correlation. Hopefully this recruitment won't exceed this month. Thanks for ur update.

This recruitment is the fairest ever in DPR according to my sauce. Success to all of us.

_*Things to know from DPR 2016 recruitment_*
1) Applicants' portal were closed on 31-12-2016 for registration
2) DPR invited applicants for CBT on 24 to 29 of July, 2017. Like seven months interval from registration
3) DPR sent messages to applicants that were successful in CBT on 24-10-2017 to update their profiles while closing others that were unsuccessful.
4) DPR contacted applicants via portal for interview on 26-11-2017 that was scheduled for two weeks that's 4th to 15th of December 2017.
5) During the interview, we were told that they (DPR) would contact us in the first quarter of 2018 which was March but they did not.
6) Shakur appeared on video claimed they had recruited 116 for OND holders, 400 GTs and EHs and 184 others which their positions were not known. 116+400+184 = 700
7) The total number of applicants at first were approximately (~) 33000 and the total number of applicants invited for interview were 3500. (3500/33000) x 100% =10.6% that's the percentage of those selected was 10.6% for the interview
The total number of applicants to be selected finally is 400 only. (400/3500) x 100% = 11.4%
9) This week makes it six (6) months after interview
10) If DPR doesn't use portal to contact successful applicants it means the list has been doctored.

If anyone thinks this recruitment is 100% merit based is on a long thing. If it were 100% merit based, successful candidates would have been contacted long before now. However in her wisdom to limit external interference, dpr introduced computer based system for test and interview.
Some of those external forces are still the cause of the delay up till now. I believe DPR is trying to strike a balance in favor of candidates who merit the job.
My hope still hinges on God...He knows the end from the beginning...
Even my Godfather told me outrightly he could not help me because it's no longer business as usual at DPR.

Finally got information from a staff at FCC that the list is not yet with them. No questions pls cause even the staff couldnt tell me when the list wld arrive at FCC.
