Jesus Christ of Nazareth! What has come over this generation? Why do people now value money more than people's lives? I hardly eat banana or plantain sef because of its high cost. Enugu state government needs to learn from Lagos. Lagos has been running BRT for close to 2 decades now and the state is still getting it right through a Pubic-Private-Partnership initiative. Humble yourself and go and learn how it works.

Development is not just about building infrastructures without proper maintenance system in place. The same thing is applicable to all the new structures that the Federal Government is building everywhere in Nigeria now. I tell you, if proper care is not taken, the next administration may not be prepared to sustain the pace of the development. Nigerian government seems not to have the maintenance culture for projects. It is not a new thing for us to see a multimillion dollar project being celebrated today and later turn out to be a shadow of itself in the next few months.

Oyinbo man will build a project and include a project sustainability plan in the development process but Nigerians don't. We are more concerned about the creation of the project because of what we have to take from it and not how durable the project is. Projects such as The Third Mainland Bridge, River Niger Bridge stood the test of time because those who built them didn't just build for now and for their pockets but for the future.

I agree with the theme and conclusion of this write up. Let me however point out that on account of IBB himself, his reason for adding Babangida to his name was not because his 'Badamasi' was of Arab origin. Instead it was as a result of being misken for a Yoruba on some occasions as some Yorubas too bear Gbadamosi.

Meanwhile both Badamasi and Gbadamosi are of same origin as postulated by Reno Omokri.

This is one of the infrastructural developments that we are expecting. Great development from the Federal Government. This particular project could be a major step for Nigeria’s digital future. A 90,000 kilometre fibre network could improve internet access, speed and connectivity across the country if properly implemented.

I remember when the current senate president said (shortly after he was elected as the senate president), "by the time Tinubu is done with Nigeria, Nigerians will not recognize Nigeria again". What first looked like a joke of the century is now coming to reality.

Till date, I still wonder why any reasonable Nigerian would want to support this man to rule Nigeria. I know many are supporting him out of hatred for Tinubu. He is human, like everyone of us, he is not perfect. I also have some areas where I don't like some part of his political ideology. However, if not Tinubu, it can never be Peter Obi. He is not even worthy to be an option at all.

This is a remarkable initiative by the Federal Government on Nigeria. In fact, I think it is one of the best things that had happened to the Nigerian education sector.

Before this scheme was introduced, I was part of the people who criticised it as a dream which would never come true in Nigeria. I never believed it could happen for real. Thank God it is now happening for real and the beneficiaries are sharing their testimonies everywhere.

However, I think there is a need to let Nigerian students and their parents know that this NELFUND disbursements are loans and not freebies.

This is a call to action for the National Orientation Agency (NOA). There is a serious need for the agency to make videos in Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba, to sensitize students and parents about the idea behind NELFUND. Let them know that it is a loan which has to be refunded to keep the cycle running so that other set of students can benefit from it after this current administration. It shouldn't be misinterpreted for election money or freebies from the Federal Government.
