AsmartDigitals:It will be the new way forward in Nigeria. People are now getting to know that there is a huge difference between job and gigs. Some busy restaurants can have offers for dish washing gigs which is not really a full time job per say. Baby sitting gigs, driving gigs, cleaning gigs and many others can be added. Above all, try to look in the direction of remote gigs. Most remote gigs online now are not in Nigeria, people assess them by using proxy, however, if there could be a platform that small business owners can confidenly go in Nigeria to get skilled people who can do remote graphics design, writing, digital marketing, social media advertising, data entry and analysis for them, it will make some projects a lot easier for people. I hope this helps. |
I was waiting to see Amosun & Dapo Abiodun stand side by side and hold each other. Aremo Olisegun Osoba had to be in between them. Even Yayi's looking in that direction to see reactions from both of them 🤣🤣 |
Olofofo247ng:Thank you! The truth has to be told the way it is. |
See them, see them, IDP politicians who are not really after how to make any good things in the country. Political party hijackers who are not patient enough to grow a party or form a formidable alliance with other parties to make a better opposition. I will keep saying that these ADC guys don't really have anything to offer Nigerians. Peter Obi fall my hand to identify with these *wannabe politicians* who have once been behind the downfall of this nation. Imagine the likes of Aregbesola who was a governor of Osun state without any reasonable impact. Osun states IGR till date is still crippling far behind Lagos and Oyo state in the South Western state. So, what has he got in his political resume to impress anyone or even condemn any government? He was appointed as Minister of Interior for how many years without any impact...I didn't even know the role of a Minister of Interior other than announcing Public Holidays when he was in power. Thank God for Dr.Olubunmi Ojo who blazed the trail by making us know the real deal. Don't event let me mention the likes of Dino Melaye that boy that values his toy cars more than the lives of the people of Kogi state) or Rotimi Amechi (the once respected and influential state man in Rivers State but now an upcoming politician because of his greed and selfishness. Who could have taught Wike would be more relevant and influential than this guy now?) or David Mark (one of the longest serving Senators in Nigeria without any reasonable impact). If these guys have done well during their days in power, Nigeria will not be where she is today. On another note, I just noticed something very funny 🤣 😂 😂. APC or ADC, the only difference is the central letter. Am I the only one here that notice it is much easier to change letter " " to "P" than "P" to " ". This little but significant bug may be used against the opposition party during the election. Thins is me just thinking 💭 🤔 🤔...I beg, don't come for me o. I come in peace and I do not support election rigging or violence o. God bless Nigeria! |
What You Should Know As the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is set to roll out a new set of Bank Verification Number (BVN) guidelines from May 1, 2026, there are key rules every account holder must have knowledge of before the deadline. The framework introduces tighter controls on phone number changes, device usage, and transaction limits. The move by the apex bank is to curb fraud, strengthen identity protection, and safeguard Nigeria’s financial system. Mobile Banking App Mobile banking apps will now be restricted to one device at a time. Logging into your banking app on a new device will automatically deactivate access on the previous one and trigger additional authentication checks. Fraud Watchlist Window Banks are now required to place any BVN linked to suspicious activity on a temporary 24-hour watchlist. During this period, affected accounts may be restricted or frozen while the bank contacts the customer for verification. Phone Number Change Under the new rules, customers can now change the phone number linked to their BVN only once in their lifetime. The policy targets rising cases of SIM-swap fraud, where criminals take over phone numbers to gain access to bank accounts. Customers are advised to link their BVN to a secure, long-term phone number—preferably one already tied to their National Identification Number (NIN). Minimum Age Limit The CBN has set 18 years as the minimum age for BVN enrollment. This means minors will no longer be allowed to hold independent BVNs. Instead, parents and guardians must rely on structured banking products designed for children to manage funds on their behalf. Transaction Capping Customers activating their banking apps on a new device will face a temporary transaction limit of ₦20,000 within the first 24 hours. This restriction acts as a safety buffer, ensuring that even if an account is compromised during setup, the amount that can be moved is significantly limited. What You Should Do Before May 1: Customers are urged to take proactive steps to avoid disruptions: Confirm your BVN-linked phone number: Ensure it is active, secure, and permanently yours. Update details early: If you must change your number, do so before the deadline to avoid being locked into the one-time limit. Be prepared for stricter login processes when switching phones or reinstalling banking apps. Under the new rule, financial institutions must establish and maintain a temporary watchlist for BVNs linked to suspicious transactions reported within the banking system. hightee1:At times, what your child actually need in order for you to see the changes that you expect is not actually the school. School is just basically for your child to socialize with other children. To actualize an effective learning goal, you may need the service of a professional home tutor who would pay closer attention to your child on a one-on-one learning structure. The tutor would assess your child and work in line with your expectations to meet your basic needs. I may recommend a suitable tutor for your child at your location if you want. |
They championed/sponsored the protest with the masses as if they actually cared for them or have a better solution to offer them and later converged *codedly* to celebrate their paddy without involving the masses. Same people, same system, nothing different. Kettle calling pot black...This is not really the Nigeria I pray for. May Jehovah save the poor Nigerians...these guys are only after their family and pockets...nothing more. |

In 1988, Damian Anyanwu said he was fed up with being a Nigerian and his case was justified. His travails started in the 1970s when he announced that he had built a radio station whose key component was local herbs. He named his invention Radio Mbaise, but many people dismissed him as a mãd man. According to a Prime People feature in 1988: The radio station could transmit sound to audiences within a two-kilometre radius. Engineers at the Imo Broadcasting Service initially dismissed him as “mentally deranged.” He grabbed newspaper headlines for his work anyway and attracted interest from an American organisation that asked him to relocate and become a citizen. However, his family and other prominent Nigerians persuaded him to turn down the offer. According to reports, what followed, he claimed, was a long trail of frustration. First, the University of Nigeria, Nsukka promised to place him on grade level fourteen if he could produce an intercom. After he succeeded, he was placed on grade level eight instead and eventually forced to quit. Next, the Sam Mbakwe administration in the late 1970s announced he would receive a research grant, but Imo State officials frustrated the process and he never got anything. Then, the Enugu-based Project Research Development Agency (PRODA), under the Shehu Shagari government, announced a ₦12,600 research grant for him, but he received only ₦10,000. Between the 1970s and 1980s, Damian claimed he invented a VHF device that could transmit pictures and voice simultaneously, a walkie-talkie, a body contact microphone, and a new super emulsion paint made largely from local materials. But he repeatedly faced resistance from institutions, especially PRODA, which wanted to scrutinise his work without agreeing to his request for patent rights first. By 1988, he said he was fed up with being Nigerian and regretted rejecting the U.S. offer to leave the country and pursue his work in a more supportive environment. At that point, he was ready to accept citizenship from “any country” that would have him. He passed away on July 14, 2020 after a brief illness. Hightablevoice2:I don't really see what the CDA chairman or Estate Chairman has got to do with this issue. |
Olofofo247ng:The best advice so far. |
DONOCSO:Yes, you are right. What many people don't seem to know is that there is a difference between remote jobs and gigs. A job would require proper interview and actual job recruitment processing. Then, you would be rewarded with a wage or salary periodically. Most jobs come with benefits like health package, vacation package and some have commission attached. As for gigs, you can get paid as soon as you reach the threshold. You can do as many gigs as you have the capacity to do them and you get rewarded accordingly. Most gigs come in form of filling survey forms, visual and audio automation, transcription, voice recording, data entry, etc. |
I don't understand why so many Nigerians still struggle to get the USA, UK, Canada or Germany citizenship when they can easily work remotely from Nigeria and earn in foreign currency. I have compiled a list of 15 websites to find remote jobs that pay in foreign currency worldwide: Before you start working on these platforms, here is the thing you need to know first. Most of these companies may not grant you access to the platform with a Nigerian IP. You will need a paid proxy or VPN service to get access to the platforms. These are the platforms: 1. What is your view about this new development in the Nigeria education system?

Much Ado About Peter Gregory Obi by Tony Ademiluyi Some political analysts described Peter Obi as the third force in 2023 at the height of the Obidient movement. How did he take a hitherto obscure Labour party and make it into a dominant opposition party and even defeating the eventual winner, Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos State? Some of his die-hard supporters alluded to his charisma; others said he had revolutionary ideas which would take Nigeria into the eldorado. However, I firmly believe that charity believes at home. He came to national prominence in 2006 as the first politician to win gubernatorial elections at the courts and there was much expectation from his supporters to optimally perform. What really did Peter Obi do as the Anambra State Governor? Despite the huge allocation and decent internally generated revenues at his disposal, he didn’t build more public schools in spite of the fact that public education was at an all time low in the state. While it is true that he embarked on road construction, the roads quickly degraded alluding to the fact that sub standard materials were used for them. Then there was a glaring conflict of interest in his use of public funds as there was a public-private partnership with SAB Miller where his family had some equity in the deal which in decent climes amounts to a criminal offence. He had an utter disregard for local government administration and only allowed elections there in January 2014 on the eve of his departure from office. Heavy taxes were imposed on small scale traders with some of his alleged anti-people policies. Civil servants and pensioners suffered as there were allegations of unpaid salaries and pensions which was said to exacerbate the hunger in the state. He single-handedly installed his puppet, Willie Obiano as his successor simply because he was an Executive Director in Fidelity Bank – a bank in which he had substantial interest in. He allegedly tried to play the role of a political godfather which led to a public falling out. In an investigative journalistic report by Premium Times, he was involved in the infamous Pandora Papers which he denied any involvement though the evidence against him was extremely damning. I question his leadership credentials as he is yet to raise worthy successors after more than two decades in politics. How many of his minions have risen to the acme in their political careers? It is still about him since 2003 – how tragic as he has no defined political structure. Is he really a man of his word? He swore to the late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu that he will never leave the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). He not only left APGA, but went on to move to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party, and now the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Why can’t he stay in one party and build it from scratch rather than being a political LovePeddler? The so called obidient movement that he hurriedly cobbled together has since crumbled since his cowardly defection to the ADC. He even said recently that he isn’t even sure of getting the ADC ticket. What then happens if the ticket eludes him? Will he defect again? His knowledge on national and global issues like climate change, global finance, terrorism, diplomacy is extremely shallow a pointer to his not being a team builder who could give him advice. He is nothing short of a rabble rouser who appeals to emotions rather than reason. Why couldn’t his public support for the ADC translate into electoral victory in his native Anambra State in the last elections? I hate to be the bearer of unsavoury news – Obi is nothing short of a well packaged scam who will completely expire in 2027. Over to you time! Source: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1DnnsBv54z/ |
AdolfHitlerxXx:Should there be any reason for loan companies to start dragging you online because you owe them 5k or 15k. Some of them even go as far as tagging you as a ritualists, kidnapper and calling or sending texts to all your contacts. I don't think the OP is even addressing the issue of online loan sharks here, it is all about a person borrowing another person money... |
eteebanky1:In the latest development, Olalekan, who serves as the Local Government Inspector (LGI) for Abeokuta South, is alleged to have had a personal relationship with Ariyo, which reportedly resulted in the pregnancy. The circumstances surrounding the termination and subsequent complications are now central to the ongoing investigation. Police sources confirmed that the official is currently being held at the state command headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta, as investigations continue. Don't you think this is just a case of "half baked reading and comprehension"? Now, go down on your knees and apologise to the OP. Case settled. |
This is a good development. We hope the men with gun don't just have their way by pulling the trigger when they notice their corrupt act is being recorded in camera...after all, a dead man can't challenge them with any claim in court after the evidence must have been destroyed. |
If only David Umahi had sued the woman who recently dragged him online for owing her hundreds of millions...the woman could have been a scapegoat by now. I personally don't like dragging people/customers online because when we were making the deal we didn't come online to post it and we shouldn't choose to settle it online too if it goes the other way. Also, another thing we can learn from this as business owners is that if you drag your rich/powerful/influential customers online today, you can easily get your money back from the person but you are indirectly passing a message to other prospective clients that you are not a reliable person to deal with but a lousy and intolerant person. |
Now that the president is being celebrated and hosted by the King, this still comes to mind |
Akungitit:That's exactly my point. Majority of those who are against this present government are not even in this country. They don't know what is really happening at all. They only decide to read what they choose to read and conclude based on what they have read. Let me leave them with this, because I know they will get to read it: "He who knows not, and knows not that he knows not, shun him, he is a fool." "He who knows not, and knows that he knows not, teach him, he is ready to learn." "He who knows and knows not that he knows, wake him, he is asleep." "He who knows and knows that he knows, follow him, he is wise." |
