Scottiemi:So I applied for her on the 27th of July. My first call to UKVI was on the 17th of August. They escalated on the 21st, gave me a new reference number and said I should wait for 10 to 15 working days for a response directly from UK home office. I refused to wait because her holiday was almost ruined. I called them almost everyday until they got tired of me. It got to a point where they said it was out of their hands. Also kept going to Tlscontact office Ikeja. By GOD's grace the status changed on their website to Decision Made just yesterday and I got the email last night. Picked it up this morning. It has never been this bad as we've been renewing for many years. But in all, I thank GOD! |

Airpeace has tried. But it still remains a shame that the industry remains mediocre. In 2018 we are celebrating a 16year old 3rd hand airplane that Emirates Airline has used so much and feel it no longer fit for their fleet. Not that Airpeace could afford to buy it, they leased it. If they mess up on their return, the real owners (FV Aircraft Leasing) will pick it up immediately. Smaller African countries have companies that own brand new A380s in their fleet. We are here celebrating mediocrity. seunjungle1:Negetaive in the short term. It ideally should be positive but we aren't ready for this yet because of our high cost of production (Power, Security , corruption etc). Once he signs this, all the remaining multinationals (PZ, Cadbury, Nestlé, Guiness etc) would pull out of Nigeria as fast as possible.Why produce here when you can from Kenya and export to Nigeria tax free. Millions of top paying quality jobs would be lost within 6 months. Then we'll be completely import dependent. Nigeria is attractive to all those countries because of our population. Possitive in the long term because we'll be forced to sit up and get our acts together to compete with other African countries. 2 Likes |

No Nigerian network is perfect. They all have their good and bad days, reliable ones are expensive. To get the best, you have to have them all and be able to switch at any point. My advice is to get an "ashawo" phone. One that can work with any Nigerian 4g network. I use Nokia 2. Get all their 4g Sims. Spectranet, Ntel, Swift, Smile, Glo etc. Pay for their smallest 4g data subscription for testing. Anyone that works well for you.... Enjoy! So far, below has been my experience and ratings. Top Choice = Ntel = unreliable but fastest and cheapest @ N3,700/Week for truely Unlimited plan. Spectranet= Reliable 12,500 40gb Truely Unlimited from 1am-7pm. So if you can stay awake you can do much downloads. Plus they give double data usually at the end of the month if you subscibe for some plans. MTN 4g Expensive but very reliable. Also very mobile. You can change locations as you please and still get good speed. Glo 4g was great at some point. 5k for 30gb was my go to plan. It got oversubscribed and super slow. They've cut it to 5k for 15gb. It's now fast but expensive. No longer worth it. All the rest are either too expensive, unreliable or outright fraudulent ie (FUP fake unlimited plan �) 3 Likes 1 Share |

I'm shocked no one is recommending the newly launched Nokia 2 at N30,000. 5.0 inches Corning Gorilla Glass 3 Running Stock Android Nougat 7.1.1. Upgradable to Oreo 8.0 4,100mah battery 8 GB expandable to 128GB dedicated SD slot 1 GB RAM (stock android OS compensates for speed) It's not the fastest phone ever but can easily be tuned to be nippy without rooting. LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 20(800), 28(700), 38(2600), 40(2300 Works well with all our 4g networks. MTN, Etisalat, Glo, Ntel, Spectranet, Smile, swift etc It's very rare to find a phone that supports all our 4g networks especially Glo 4g 28(700) So instead of buying these networks router or mifi that are tied to 1 band or even the Huawei mifi that we unlock but only has few bands. Ok. A for effort. But I think we should do much better than this. Google dubai airport 15 years ago and for dubai airport now. We have far more natural resources than the UAE and more population (which should be an advantage if harnessed). What we lack which they have is LEADERSHIP. For those of us who've been there, have you had conversations with regular citizens e.g cab drivers? They talk about their leaders with so much respect, adoration, gratitude etc. The highest selling portrait or pics in dubai is of their leaders. Its everywhere. Peoples homes, in taxis, in hotels in malls, on skyscrapers etc even body tatoos. They can attack you if you speak bad of their leaders. They love them to death and who can blame them. I've been fortunate to travel to most part of the world. All the top cities. But up till now no one trips me like dubai because of the pace the development came. You know how they say rome wasn't built in a day? Well... dubai most certainly was. Finally, dubai gives me hope that one day God will have mercy on us and give us good leadership and nigeria can be rebuilt even if not 1 day... 20years will do. |
