Hmmm as a 200 level of fupre i think my comment here will do more good. I promise to state fact and not take sides. First of all must admit dat studying at fupre aint easy but the last post ume exams really brought to light some shortcomings of fupre as a young school. Its really impossible for some to ansa 50 question only get 3,5 etc even if e picks his ansas at random. I must admit here dat this candidates scripts where miss marked. I wrote fupre post ume twice. On the 1st occasion i got 29 bt dat was nt enough to get into the hottest course dats petroleum engr. On my 2nd attempt 1 scored 27 bt got into earth science dept 1st batch even wit a jamb score of 200. But recently am sori to say tins are changing for the worst at fupre.....money have begin to change hands....dont be suprised to find out some person wit gud scores as high as 30 havent gotten admission yet but those wit 9, 12, 3 etc have. Personally feel ur pain...... I even copied ur write up and pasted it in my depts group chat to create further publicity. 1 tin i knw 4 sure right nw is dat to get into fupre is complicated bt even wen eventually get in it becomes hell.

Truth is, u wont see one if the age range is above 40 and upward.. i would be planning a movement (in the nearest future) to enlighten the youths not to give in to the wiles of these leaders and their outdated lifestyle, and maybe work ways to see that younger men and women gets top positions in governments so as to implement and install what the youth need, i think only the youths of our time realy understand what this youths of our time realy need and want.
Am happy i've seen someone who shares dsame vision with me. we need the youths up there at the political sits nt old men that just want to loot as if they will take the money to hell.

thereby makin the youth lead a hard life, that result into cultistism, prostituition, millitancy etc
despite this, there ar literates too bt they are affected too, so therefore, the major problem are the leaders both state, local, traditional rulers etc. the number 1 thing they do is how to create new office(avenue) to embezel cash meant 4 development.. they would stock themselves up with it and invest them far off(like uduaghans hospital in china, and ibori refinery in S.A or tompolos university dahomey) imagine if these organizations are here in the state, that would be employment 4 some jobless youth. and then they use the illiterate and jobless youths to do their biding. as 4 the ones that invest in the state, they only builds hotels (employin the young men as secuirities and the ladies as prostituites) and expensive shoping malls
it doesn't contribute at all cos they will evade tax. i just pray 4 a leader with a vision.

Nothing is too late me also would like to become governor of my state Lagos in future grin I'm also young but I'm a politian if people like you become leaders tomorrow tribalism in SN will end instead will both think of collaboration for development. start now with hard working only successful men would become good leaders even though some one take up the task as governor youll still be relevant like dangote. I believe strongly most company would have love to stay at delta state if there was no militancy just imagine
M workin towards it i have so many goals. the refinery in warri is it even workin well. they are just show off. i think real-estate should be introduced to cities and towns in states. houses of the 1970's shouldn't still be in a city. scatter the houses build new 1's with good drainage. n sewage system end public toilets and rent to the people at cheap prices while providing job 4 them. den the development continues to other areas.

Thank God people like you are from delta state if not of tribalism delta state governor should try and associate with Lagos state people because the state has more potentials than PH but they would be chanting Biafra . misplaced priority angry when the youth were bombing many of my delta friends were not happy but my Igbo friends were expressing satisfaction undecided yet instead of moving with developed state you'll see them saying we are not Yoruba's. see Lagos kebbi collaboration that SS ana SE would not have agreed on if it were them. nothing is too late you are the one to develop your state your future is in your hands your are still among the richest just use Lagos state strategy to generate more revenue cool then you'll see Lagos and delta planning light rail connection grin
If nt am still so young i'd luv to b governor of this state. warri to lagos will nt take u more than 2hr(if nt less) by water. d deltans and the leaders are too tribalistic 2 welcome development

The major problem with the youths is illiteracy,(the child desist 4rm education) and poor parental upbringing ( i dnt care, even when education was almost free then)

Delta state is nw a state where the youths are nw fighting for king of agberos. these set of people refuse to work for money, they prefer goin into any building site and companies to ask for what they call "DEVE" if a road is to be repaired 2dae watch this agberos invade the site for the development levy. if nt paid they will pursue the contractors.

Enough said the question nw is what is the way foward?

The state/local govt n the people e.g youth have a lot to play in the development of the state. The leaders need to come up with a plan on hw to restructure and drive economic activities in the state, which the people will have to comply. In this plan should be the development of the educational sector, agricultural sector, infrastructures, roads and bridges, eletricity, basic and social amenities.
The upcoming youths (teens) will need a change of mindset. They need to be tutored that the world doesn't revolve around oil as they have been made to believe. And the people should try to welcome development.

Them sey if we vote in Okowa, sey things go better..That he will be different but now i discover that to rule Delta state effectively is not by the regions the person comes from.We hope for a better leader with vision in the next election..I am really tired of seeing Delta State become a shadow of itself.I am really disappointed in Gov Okowa, i thought he would be different and more efficient like Gov Ambode of Lagos.i just tire for Delta state ..its like the state and as well as its people are caused with gra gra and corruption.
As in it pains me. don't be surprised that he is developing is home town agbor. i heard the man is a good and honest guy sha. but nothing to show for it. the BRT that the people at warri kicked against has been removed but the roads is nw scatered.

Delta state is a state where communal conflict is the other of the day. it's a state where the people don't welcome development. a maritime university is to be sited at a location. nw the traditional rulers are using their illiterate youths to fight for the ownership of land......criously in this modern era. Conflicts such as these has driven investors out of the state.

I believe one of the problems of the state is crude oil. cos jobless youths in the state are nw driven by the our oil mentality. This mentality has pushed the youths to resulting in militancy and oil bunkering. Tell me hw the state go take beta.

Delta state on the other hand has been unfortunate with leadership as the politicians will just loot and go FREELY. U would love to be a local govt chairman in this state. cos u pratically do nothing just loot n share with agberos. The leaders don't have the mentality of driving investement, they can't make the state attractive enough for tourism. Lack of water, good roads e.t.c

Delta state, my state of origin is one those state that harbour oil producing regions in the Niger delta. it is one of those states that is blessed with natural resources good land for agriculture and also access to the atlantic ocean.

With all these u would expect the state to be one of the best and finest in nigeria, but the reverse is the case.

Delta state is a state that has been ruled by the people's democratic party (PDP) since creation. the state has been unfortunate in the aspect of politics. A state whereby anybody contesting be it APC or PDP are just fighting for their share of d money when they get to d seat.

A state where tribalism and communal conflict has been the other of the day. As a matter of fact if u want development in ur region in the state make sure the governor of the state is from ur region whether the development bring economic value or nt, even jobs and appointments are based on sentiments,a state where who no who is the way to survive.

I am not down playing the south-south. You down play yourself when you think the igbo man is out to get you, instead of forging a meaningful partnership and get our collective people out of african poverty.
Tell me, what is bad about a seaport? Is it not going to provide jobs and revenue for the south-south fellow and government? Because it benefits the igbo man somewhat, and suddenly that makes you suspicious. And that is how you down play yourself.
Guy just take it d world doesn't revolve around ibos.

There is virtually no significant manufacturing output in the SS. The only thing you find is extraction. Your refineries is to extract oil and none if them is owned by a niger-deltan.
Orient refinery in anambra was built and owned by South-easterners. That is the diference between us.
There are Glass industries everywhere in Nigeria. The few ones in the SS is not significant enough to be reckoned with.
Guy stop this rubbish. why do u feel the world revolves around SE it's always urs lagos has many industries. y good environment and closeness to water. why dn u nw feel same won't be if it where only SS n SE

The bolded is wrong.
As for the rest, i have no interest in arguing further.
If SE ans the SS become seperate nations, our first line of action should be to create a trump styled wall to prevent the inevitable influx of refugees pouring into the SE due to widespread militant activity in the SS.
Ofcourse, we will pay the militant lord in charge of the akwaibom axis to use the water ways to import machineries for aba hustlers and that innoson chap and others that will spring up across our land.
And if they don't agree? besides the seaport u so want @ akwa-ibom is nt nearly ready. guy stop been ignorant i hv no problem with u or south easterners i like the partnership but don't downplay the south-south
