Apart from letter of invitation and trade invoices. What are the main documents required from the invitee?

(A) personal account statement or company account statement?

(B) Tax clearance certificate, Yes or No?

(c) marriage certificate, necessary?

(D) children birth certificate, necessary?

(E) property deeds, yes or no?

I have used the search function on NL, but I couldn’t find any thread on this visa type

During Jonathan’s government, we had a Single window portal for Form M , and PAAR Application. PAAR is the documents that states duty to pay to government. Then Government had a base minimum per container. Vehicles were not cleared through PAAR, they had a separate desk.

Although, the Customs had a scanning platform to facilitate ease of clearance but many agents avoided it because it made cargo clearance more complicated. I explain: you hire a truck to haul your cargo for scanning. The process might take two days to get your cargo into the scanner. it fails inspection. Many cargo do fail inspection especially mixed commodities. Now you have to return your cargo for physical inspection. For all these time, you have to pay for scanning, pay trucker and also pay demurrage to trucker. This complexity makes every agent want to book for physical examination avoiding scanning because it was a waste of time and money.

Physical examination happens to be a bit more straight forward. Book exam. Submit your declaration to Chief examiner. All agencies: police, CIU, DC squad, NDLEA, SON, NESREA, chief examiner, and now they have added compliance team to the inspection routine.

The current administration changed all that. Scrapped the single window. Canceled contract with Webb fountain that managed the platform. They introduced B’Odogwu platform and 846 for irregular vehicles clearance.

According to this report, they want to introduce a New Single Window again. Aren’t we going round in cycles?

The agencies involved in cargo clearance are just too many. Too many people to settle. It makes cargo clearance very expensive

Unionisation is not compulsory. Workers who are willing to join the union, signify their intention to be part of the union by obtaining a form fill same and send an email to the union.

Union matters are not peculiar to our country.
Nigeria is not a stand-alone country. We are signatory to the international labour acts and a member of the international labour organisation (ILO) whose task is to seek and ensure that workers' rights and benefits are protected.

Dont be fooled by Dangote's theatrics. He, just like many employers don't mean well for their employees.
If not for the Union. Many workers would be treated as slaves. While the employers act like they are doing the workers a favour by paying them paltry salaries. Forgetting that the company exists, progresses and make profit because dedicated employees are doing their best to meet the company's set goals. Hence, it is a symbiotic relationship. And not one of master-slave.

Imagine where I work. I worked for 10 years, and I never had pension, my tax are deducted, and there is no HMO.

But the moment I and my colleagues joined the union, the Union had back and forth with the company, took the matter to the ministry of Labour, the company was reprimanded and told to do the right thing or be ready to argue their case in the court stating why they should not be prosecuted for not complying with the nations pension act.

The right thing is to pay workers pension contributions.
They immediately agreed and complied.

Today. Just 4 years after compliance to paying the pension , it will amaze you to know that my pension balance is sitting at 13M. This is just for 4 years oh.

Now I have retirement benefits, good HMO, nice take home and my tax are also taken care of by the compnay. All of which were non-existent in my over 10 years of pre-unionisation work years.

For months. He refused. Not until Independent marketers decided to boycott him and keep importing saying, it was cheaper for them.

He sued the NNPC to direct the Independent Marketers to buy from him and not to import.
What is more monopolistic than this?

He was called to order and later withdrew the case.

As a way to fight back, he reduced the prices of all his products. So as to reduce the profit margin for the importers.
So this was possible earlier, yet he didn't do it. Lol.

Whatever price reduction you see today is being made possible because of the price war between him and the Independent marketers who themselves are greedy lots and evil cabals in the oil & gas industry

As a result, you and I. The ordinary Nigerians are the beneficiary of whatever cold war exists between them.

Trust me, if Dangote has his way, with his monopolistic tendency, then it's finished for the oil and gas industry.

In case you are not aware, this current union action was a result of Dangote sacking all his workers who are pengassan members.
You dont do that now. That's called work place victimisation.

Just like you are arguing. Union member is voluntary. As long as the workers are willing to, employers are expected to recognise workers' rights of membership of any legal trade union.

Without people being union members, when evil, Wicked and profit driven employers like Dangote swing their hammer against the workers, who would stand for such workers?

Just like in this case, you just wake up to see that you have been sacked for whatever reason. Especially for being a union member. Would you be happy if no one rises and stands for you.

What this means is, bread winners would suddenly lose their means of livelihood.

These associations in Nigeria are a pressure group, and in many instances a means to enrich a few. See the Nigerian Legion, at a point they started acting as an arm of government , collecting revenues from truckers, issuing permits, truckers were paying this association to allow their trucks to be branded with the Nigerian Legion logo. Sometimes these association forget the fact that they are just a “mere” association.

Same with pure water association. You must pay them before you can have a pure water factory. These association in this part of the world are aimed at self-enrichment. They don’t protect anyone… may be in a few cases.

Where is NLC today? After all manner threats accepted under 100$ as salary for workers per month, and right in their face many governors rejected this deal and fired workers.

People who are actually running businesses in this country feel the futility of these unions. The essence is always about getting dues and nothing else.

How many unions is Dangote going to deal with? Truck drivers union, MAN, PENGASAN, and many more will arise, all suffocate this man. The only one who has risked it all to build a refinery in Nigeria, while the rest kleptocrats are buying houses in Dubai and London.. even. Florida.

We should all do our best to protect and stand for Dangote. No one amongst the ruling class shown this nation much love in deed. The rest are busy dinning in Monaco, flying private jet to Paris, riding Royce on pot-holed streets. The few who dare. only venture into banking and hotels.

Sometimes, we swallow some of these so called Democratic structures without understanding that they could be stifling growth. Come try union for Dubai or China… even Singapore when it involves a critical national asset. It is important we (Nigerians) really sit down and decide what kind of society we want.

The same way NURTW is forcing motorists to pay up at every bus stop regardless of membership or not. Same thing NUPENG wants here. Dangote and Dantata are private entities, and they can freely decide not to join this association called NUPENG. What’s wrong with that? NUPENG is an association, isn’t it? It is not a regulatory body for drivers in the oil and gas sector. It is just an association!

It's best to just get France or Italy, then use that opportunity to visit Malta.

Just that their visa stamp would not be obtained, since you're visiting via another Schengen visa.

If it possible, one can get
Portugal, Netherlands, Germany Belgium, Italy, France and Spain visa stamps on your passport by respectively applying via their embassies, but the refusal rate will discourage one from this. Hence, people are stuck with France and Italy.
