[quote author=Madewithlove[/quote]Brother, i see you are a soldier. I wonder if you could throw some light on the availability of Drone in NA. Do they have drones? If they had one.. the false alarm raised early in your story wouldn’t happen because of their eyes in the sky.

If they do, why aren’t they using ones with infrared to seek out these Boko boys in sambisa .

Finally, don’t you think it would have been cost effective for NA to buy drones than the Tucano jets?

Your thoughts, please

Foreign AffairsRe: Israeli Jets Strike Houthi Targets In Yemen In Response To Attacks, Military Say by owagbeba: 1:49pm On Jul 21, 2024
11doubledee:
The circumstances and objectives of both wars are very clearly different.
All the Saudi's wanted in their own case was to keep Ali Abdullah Saleh in power and don't forget the Saudis have been very generous to Yemen since the early 1990s with aids and funding.
His own mistake was that he wasn't brutal enough like Abdel Fattah El-sisi of Egypt in crushing the "Muslim Brotherhood "(IRANIAN STOOGE).
But he was trying to unify all aggrieved parties ,most especially the Houthis (IRANIAN STOOGE).
Houthis having grown in influence over years coupled with Iranian weapons and funding become a Cancer that finally devoured him.
By the time he called on the Saudi's for help, it was almost too late and his own influence/support was already dwindling in Yemen.
But isreal's objective is very different, they have little or no stake in Yemen as a nation.
If Yemen keeps on attacking them, not just their military but other infrastructures maybe targeted which Yemen can't afford at the expense of ordinary Yemenis which is supposed to be their priority.
War no be child's play.
It requires massive funding that should have used for developmental purposes, takes human lives, stalls societal development, it's a different feeling from that of freedom we are enjoying right now.
People should always think deeply before they act, because every action has consequences.
In terms of infrastructure, who has more to lose in this tit for tat between Yemen and Israel?

In that case let's see as it goes then.
Even IRAN that supplies Yemen long range missiles don calm down for isreal at least for now.
If I may ask, what are Yemen's defence capabilities against the real "devastation" of isreali strikes?
Who in his right senses fights Saudi Arabia and isreal (America's Sworn allies) at the same time if not for madness.
Politics and religion are two different things.
They are just being too religiously emotional here, that's all i can see if not,how far have they been able to rebuild Yemen that they are clamouring for another war.
How does a society progress like that?
Think about this.. Yemen is a war torn country, far less facilities than Israel. And they have demonstrated they could get to Israel with their drones.

Honestly, I don’t think it is a wise decision to start this conflict with the Houthis. Saudi, UAE and the American coalition have all gone to war with the Houthis, they all failed.

How can a country that relies so much on america for weapons be looking for trouble everywhere, I only pity the american taxpayers

Israel wants to fight a war with Hamas, Houthi and Hezbollah at the same time knowing fully well that it doesn't have the capacity to do so

The genocidal Zionist regime should stop attacking oil facilities and civilians, US and UK have been striking Houthi for months without killing innocent people.

To those throwing curses and insults at me because of a foreign country that doesn't care about your existence, I pity una
Thanks for your foresight.
I think it is not a wise decision to attack Yemen’s oil depot. Israel has bigger targets for the Houthis to strike. I don’t see the wisdom for Israel to escalate this simmering war with all the proxies in the region, more especially acting against the Houthis. They will retaliate, and the result will be far more devastating for Israel.

Nonybb:
When I see Nigerians eulogize Dangote and hail him for building on local content, I just laughed at the level this Fulani con man has deceived so many Nigerians. Remember when he started his cement production and the normal cliché then was the affordability of price of cement. Today, cement has gone to the roof top despite Nigeria's local capacity of that products. Today, this evil genius wants to monopolize the oil downstream sector and corner the supply chain of the crude oil by playing politics and demanding that IOCs plays to his rhythm so that he will control the price indices, thus, monopoly of supply. The evil we are fighting is Dangote, not IOCs. Even before he comes fully on stream, Nigerians are already feeling the heat of this Fulani evil manipulator. I tell you, Nigerians will pay with their teeth if Dangote succeed in his control because his monopoly of cement industry is not a palatable one
Brother.. dangote’s refinery is a good development. We need more Dangotes in Nigeria. South Korea did it with Daewoo, hyundai, samsung and Lotte. We can do the same.

That's good. There are countless ways to make cool money in this Country. However, transportation, bad roads and insecurity spoilt everything.

As for the bolded. I advise you ask the manager weather he has an idea of the best way to preserve vegetables from the North to Lagos. Without necessarily using a refrigerated truck. Since he is into sales of vegetables, he will surely know the best methods to preserve them.

For instance. So many years ago, business men use local baskets to transport Tomatoes from the North to South. Before the truck get to the South, some of those tomatoes get bad. This is due to weather effect, numbers of hours spent on the road and the way those baskets are stacked on each other.

But these days, they have devised a better way to transport Tomatoes to South. They now use plastic baskets to package the tomatoes. These plastic baskets are arranged on each other, in a way that it doesn't affect any tomatoes.
I saw these plastic basket in Daegu in 2001. The farmers used these baskets to crate plums. And I always wondered why we are still using raffia baskets. These plastic crates can be made from recycled plastics that’s are filling our waste dumps.

As per refrigerated trucks, used tokunbo split Air Con and a DC to AC inverter can solve that. Although it may not cool to 4 degrees but at least cools enough to keep the vegetables fresh through the northern heat.

Cool.
The problem is that, vegetables are perishable goods. Due to distance and bad Roads, it always takes over a day for good to arrive Lagos from the North.

However, I will do research on the best method of preserving and transporting Vegetables for long distance. So that the Vegetables will arrive Lagos freshly and in good state. When I am done with my research, I will contact you for information about the vegetable market in Ikeja. Maybe we can even run the business together.

I took the pictures below from a local, small vegetable market here in Kaduna
I think refrigerated trucks will do it at 1-4 degrees. Again the difficulty of doing business in Nigeria, either it is hard to find a refrigerated truck that can do the distance or overly expensive.

Do the trains from Kano have reefer containers ? That would be the cheapest means to transport these perishables to Lagos.

with a population of over 200 Million folks, the business opportunities are endless.

No worries, I have the manager’s number at Ikeja vegetable market.

I will also check the price of tokunbo refrigerated trucks (6 tyres) when I travel…

Please how is cloud seeding local?

Are clouds stationary?
Depending on the cloud type and wind, they don’t move at high speed. When clouds in an area are seeded with iodide, it will force precipitation in that broader area. Governments try to creat rain through seeding in areas of drought.

Cloud seeding can NOT cause the torrential down pour experienced in gulf region.

For almost 2 weeks now, it has been raining so heavily.

It also rained so heavily in China that the flood issue there currently is a big mess.

Hope all this global heavy raining is not the effect of UAE cloud seeding?

Just curious
Cloud seeding is a localized process. Imagine…it takes a plane 1.5 or more hours to fly from the southern-most tip of Nigeria to the Sahel border in a straight line. Build a picture here, consider how long it will take to criss cross (draw lines side by side from south to north) the entire area of Nigeria, seeding each “thin” line of clouds with silver iodide. Quite difficult to even seed a state.
