Deborah Paul Enenche and her husband, Samuel Uloko, have unveiled the name of their newborn child. Recall that Deborah and her husband welcomed their first child on December 15, 2024. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zG-gbJvNhp8 The child is the first grandchild of Dr. Paul Enenche and his wife, Dr. (Mrs.) Becky Enenche, of Dunamis International Gospel Centre. Announcing the child’s name on Sunday, Deborah wrote: “Introducing PAUL-XAVIER ONDUJUM NOEL ULOKO HAWTHORN.” https://idomavoice.com/ondujum-deborah-paul-enenche-and-husband-unveil-childs-name/ Paul, meaning “humble,” was apparently chosen in honor of his grandfather, Dr. Paul Enenche. Xavier is of Basque and Spanish origin, meaning “new house” or “castle.” Ondujum is an Idoma name, meaning “My Lord is enough.” Deborah and Samuel tied the knot in December 2022 in a lavish ceremony in Abuja, attended by prominent personalities and pastors from within and outside Nigeria.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jurfBvZiPw The Concerned Christian Youth Forum has maintained its stance on pursuing legal action against Ogunsanwo Olumide John, popularly known as Seaking, who was recently arrested for making derogatory comments about Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). Recall that Seaking, in a viral TikTok video, referred to Pastor Adeboye as “very stupid and foolish” for subjecting his congregation to a 100-day fast. Following a petition filed by the Concerned Christian Youth Forum, Ogunsanwo was apprehended by the Nigeria Police in Lagos and subsequently transferred to the Federal Investigation Department (FID) in Abuja, under the supervision of DIG Dasuki Galandanchi, on allegations of cyberbullying. While Pastor Adeboye has publicly called for the release of Seaking, stating that the TikToker was merely fulfilling part of prophecies, the youth forum remains resolute in its position. Addressing a press conference on Monday, the forum’s convener, Adama James Paul, affirmed their commitment to pursuing the case to its conclusion, emphasizing their broader mission to protect Christianity and its leaders from defamation and blasphemy. Statement from the Concerned Christian Youth Forum: “We wish to reiterate for the enlightenment of the general public that we are not representing any particular denomination but the entire Christian Church and her revered leaders in Nigeria. “We have been at the forefront of confronting these unwarranted media onslaughts directed against our leaders by invoking the provisions of relevant laws as law-abiding citizens. We were behind the petitions that led to the arrest and detention of some errant media urchins in recent times. “Now, for the records, we categorically state that the recent petition filed against Ogunsanwo Olumide John was initiated by us, the Concerned Christian Youth Forum, and not by Pastor E.A. Adeboye himself. Neither was the petition filed at his behest. As a respected elder and grandfather, Pastor Adeboye should not be expected to engage directly in such matters but rather focus on his divinely ordained duties as a Man of God. “This does not absolve us, as responsible members of the Christian community, from the duty of safeguarding our faith and leaders from blasphemy, defamation, and insult. This is why we, as young, respectable, and responsible Christians, have taken it upon ourselves to defend our faith and our leaders through the instrumentality of law. “We believe that God works through His people to fight against injustice and oppression, and we see ourselves as His instruments in this regard. At this point, we emphasize that we will not tolerate any further abuse of our faith or our leaders. We are fully prepared to pursue justice in this matter until it is served. “This is a matter of utmost importance, not just for the Christian community but in the overall interest of peace and national security. We are committed to ensuring that the rule of law prevails. We believe in peaceful coexistence, regardless of religious belief, ethnic identity, or political affiliations. “Let this serve as a warning to those who seek to undermine Christianity and its leaders that their actions will not go unnoticed, and they will be held accountable. Those who defame our faith and our leaders must face the consequences of their actions.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cy_kA7Vdh4Q The Concerned Christian Youth Forum has claimed responsibility for the arrest of popular TikToker, Ogunsanwo Olumide John, also known as Seaking, for allegedly insulting the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A. Adeboye. Ogunsanwo was picked up by officials of the Nigeria Police in Lagos and moved to the Federal Investigation Department (FID) in Abuja under DIG Dasuki Galandanchi for alleged cyberbullying. The content creator had, in a viral video on TikTok, branded Pastor Adeboye as “very stupid and foolish" for subjecting his congregation to a 100-day fast. According to Adama, targeting such a prominent and respected figure like Pastor Adeboye serves as a stark reminder of the growing menace of cyber harassment and the urgent need to address it before it spirals out of control.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JY060_ikRiY Activist Adama Paul James has expressed deep concern over the increasing wave of online attacks targeting the Christian faith and revered clerics in Nigeria. Addressing a news conference on Monday, the lawyer condemned the surge of disparaging statements, libelous claims and malicious accusations circulating on social media platforms and blogs. His comment came amid the arrest and detenion of a former paster turned atheist, Abraham Daniel and two others for defamation. According to Adama, “These individuals have consistently used their platforms to launch baseless allegations against the Church and its leaders, seeking to demean and drag the Christian faith into disrepute.” Adama specifically named one of the prominent individuals involved, Abraham Daniel, who claims to be a humanist. He said Daniel has repeatedly insulted men of God, made defamatory statements about the Church, and described Christianity as a scam. “Such actions are not only reckless but are also capable of inciting religious tensions in an already fragile nation. This blatant abuse of social media poses a grave threat to religious harmony and national peace,” he warned. In response to these online attacks, Adama confirmed that he has taken legal steps by petitioning the relevant authorities. His efforts have led to the arrest and detention of some of the suspects involved in the campaign of calumny. He commended the Nigerian Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), and other security agencies for their prompt actions in addressing the issue. Adama reminded the public of the constitutional provisions guaranteeing freedom of religion and belief. He emphasized that Sections 38 and 40 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as well as international human rights standards to which Nigeria is a signatory, protect the peaceful practice of faith. “The targeted attacks on Christianity and its clerics constitute a gross violation of these provisions. I am fully committed to ensuring that such attacks do not go unchecked,” he affirmed. Adama vowed not to remain silent while a few disgruntled elements seek to drag the Christian faith into disrepute and sow seeds of discord in the nation. He pledged to pursue the matter to its logical conclusion, ensuring that perpetrators are held accountable for their actions. He further highlighted the global issue of social media misuse, particularly cyberbullying. According to Adama, this problem is worsened in Nigeria by the targeted attacks on Christianity and its revered leaders, which have become fodder for content creators, resulting in widespread mockery and defamation of the faith. “Such blasphemous acts are not only insulting to Christians but also pose a grave danger to societal harmony and tolerance,” he noted. Adama expressed personal concern about the impact of these attacks on the future of the faith and the spiritual upbringing of younger generations. He described the experience of witnessing deeply held beliefs come under attack as harrowing and unbearable. He called on all relevant authorities, including the Police, DSS, and other security agencies, to intensify efforts in identifying and prosecuting those who misuse social media to incite religious tension and propagate lies against the Church and its clerics. “To be clear, this is not a battle against free speech but against the abuse of free speech to promote hatred, falsehood, and religious intolerance. The law is unambiguous: anyone making defamatory or inciting statements must be prepared to substantiate them,” he clarified. Adama reaffirmed his vision of fostering a society where all faiths are respected, religious harmony is upheld, and the sanctity of belief is protected. “To be forewarned is to be forearmed. Let this serve as a notice to all those who seek to malign the Christian faith: I will not rest until justice is served and peace is preserved,” he declared.

The Concerned Christian Youths, a Christian body organisation, has claimed responsibility for the arrest and detention of some persons for cyberbullying and attacks on some Christian leaders in Nigeria. Recall that the Nigeria Police had invited a former pastor-turned-atheist, Abraham Daniel, and one other person for using their social media platforms to troll some clerics. However, a section of the media had attributed the arrest to an Abuja-based cleric. The Christian group in a statement by its cordinator, James Paul Adama, has now confirmed that it is behind the petition that led to the invitation of the suspects by the police. The statement reads below: “Our attention has been drawn to some online publications purportedly claiming that some individuals were arrested by or at the instance of a certain revered man of God. Nothing can be farther from the truth. “We would like to sensitize the public to treat such publications as egregiously malicious, inciteful and fallacious with the intention of swaying attention from the truth. “The individuals in question are cyber bullies who have been attacking the Christian Faith and reputable Christian leaders in Nigeria. Those publications are being peddled by the same acrimonious agents in furtherance of their nefarious agenda against the Christian Faith and Christian leaders in Nigeria. “The arrests were rather made by us, Concerned Christian Youths and Spiritual Sons of the Faith. And we invoked the relevant provisions of the Law against cybercrimes. “The Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, ETC) ACT 2015 with the Amendment Act, 2024 have explicit, unambiguous provisions against cybercrimes, including cyber-bullying. “Section 24 sub-section (1) provides that, “A person who knowingly or intentionally sends a message or other matter by means of computer systems or Network that – (b) he knows to be false, for the purpose of causing annoyance, inconvenience, danger, obstruction, insult, injury, criminal intimidation, enmity, hatred, ill will or needless anxiety to another or causes such a message to be sent. “Commits an offence under this Acts and is liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term of not more than 3 years…” “Similarly, Section 24 Sub-section 2 provides that, “A person who knowingly or intentionally Transmits or causes the Transmission of any communication through a computer system or Network – To bully, threaten or harass another person, where such communication places another person in fear of death, violence or bodily harm to another person; (c) containing any threat to harm the property or reputation of the addressee or of another or the reputation of a deceased person or any threat to accuse the addressee or any other person of a crime, to extort from any person, firm, association or corporation, any money or other thing of value, commits an offence under this Act, and is liable on conviction – In the case of paragraph (a) and (b) of this sub-section, to imprisonment for a term of this sub-section, to imprisonment for a term of 10 years…, and, In the case of paragraph (C) of this sub-section, to imprisonment for a term of 5 years...” Following the provisions of this Act, the Nigerian Police Force in December 2024 declared cyberbullying as a criminal offence punishable by Law. “Thus, the activities of the arrested individuals made them liable to prosecution and conviction under the provisions of this Act as highlighted above, and that is the reason for their arrest. “Before this time, we have invoked the above provisions to arrest and press charges against a certain prophet who was picked up by the police from Lagos, and after having tasted the other side of the Law, he offered a public apology both in electronic and text forms and published same in reputable national dailies. This shows the extent to which we are ready to use the provisions of the Law to confront anyone who denigrates our Faith or attacks our fathers of faith. This is regardless of whether the cyberbully is a self-acclaimed clergy or a laity. “We are not alone in this war against social media anarchy, brigandage and gangsterism. “In July 2023, a social media influencer (Tiktoker), Okoye Blessing Nwakaego was sentenced by Justice Oweibo of the Federal High Court, Lagos to 3 years imprisonment for engaging in cyberbullying a Nollywood actress, Eniola Badmus. “The police had accused the convict of conspiring between December 2022 and July 2023 to commit a felony, to wit: cyberstalking. “The convict was also said to have knowingly caused the transmission of communication via Tiktok, gossip mill tv, remedy blog and other social media network, which is grossly offensive and false and to cause annoyance, inconvenience, danger, insult, injury, criminal intimidation, enmity, hatred, and needless anxiety to the prejudice of one Eniola Badmus. “And away from Nigeria, in July 2021, a French court convicted 11 people charged with harassing and threatening via the internet, a teenager who harshly criticized a certain religion. The verdict was the first of its kind since France created a new Paris court in January to prosecute online crimes, including harassment and discrimination. “The court sentenced the defendants to suspended prison terms of four to six months and fined them about $1,770 each. “Across the globe, the hazards of social media, especially, cyberbullying have assumed a worrisome dimension. “In Nigeria, it is even more worrisome as these attacks are targeted at the Christian Faith and her reputable leaders. Almost every content creator in Nigeria is using the mockery of Christianity and Christian leaders to ply their trade. This is denigrating, defamatory and blasphemous to Christianity, and therefore unacceptable. No genuine Christian can watch the mockery and denigration of Christianity as is being done in Nigeria with indifference. ‘The most vital part of every man’s existence is his faith or belief system. We find the foundation of our existence as Christians, and our hope for the future, both in this world and in the hereafter, threatened by the barrage of unwarranted attacks against our spiritual leaders. “Most reputable leaders are either too big or too busy to engage detractors, and we cannot sit idly by and watch some malicious elements attack their reputation with the aim of confusing the minds of their followers. These are the very people from whose mouths we receive the gospel of hope and salvation. “Beyond this, the activities of these individuals are breeding social anarchy, moral decadence and lawlessness with the overall implication of plunging our society if not the whole nation into an inferno of social and religious violence. Our country has grappled with the challenges of insecurity for so long; we cannot afford to open a new front for another form of violence and insecurity. Therefore, it is in the overall interest of national security to address this social media brigandage called cyberbullying. “These are the reasons why we cannot hold our peace. We are ready to use every applicable provision of the law to tackle these unwarranted, illogical, brazen, malicious and ill-conceived attacks on the Christian Faith and reputable fathers of Faith in Nigeria regardless of denomination until justice is served and sanity is restored. We are fully armed with the truth, and we know that the forces of evil will always bow before good as the wicked bows at the gates of the righteous. “In conclusion, we want to reiterate the fact that the publicized arrests were made by us and not by any man of God as purported by those malicious publications. Therefore, any attempt to further twist the narrative and force falsehood down the throats of the public will be vehemently resisted, if necessary, with further legal actions using applicable provisions of the Law.”

The Senior Pastors of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, and his wife, Dr. Mrs. Becky Enenche, made a notable humanitarian visit to the Kuje Medium Security Correctional Centre in Abuja earlier today. Their visit was characterized by outreach to the inmates and the provision of free legal services through a team of esteemed lawyers. The legal team accompanying the Enenches included P.H. Ogbulu (SAN), Barrister Felix Tyokase, Barrister Lydia Jim Ibu, and others. They offered legal support to inmates who could benefit from assistance in securing their release. At the facility’s Chapel of Freedom, Dr. Paul Enenche delivered an impactful sermon titled "The Forces of Freedom." He expounded on transformative principles such as the knowledge of God, realization of the truth, mentality alignment, right associations, vision, the power of the Holy Spirit, praise, and prophetic impartation. “Liberty happens when mentality is changed,” Dr. Enenche told the inmates. “Your impact after here can delete your setbacks, and if your prison doesn’t stop your praise, your praise will bring you out of your prison.” Dr. Becky Enenche also ministered to the inmates, offering heartfelt prayers against addictions and ancestral curses while emphasizing the transformative power of faith and prayer. Speaking on behalf of the legal team, one representative stated: “We are here on behalf of God’s servants, Dr. Paul Enenche and Dr. Mrs. Becky Enenche, to offer free legal services to inmates and help secure the release of those eligible through legal processes.” The public relations officer of the correctional facility, AS Duza, expressed profound gratitude for the visit, commending the Enenches for their compassion and generosity. He led the couple on a tour of various skill acquisition programs offered at the facility, including tailoring, laundry, shoemaking, soap making, and salon services. Senior officers of the correctional facility, including DCC Aminu Abubakar, CSC Oke, Chibuzor Ogunde, AC Yakubu, Sarki Norma, and the chapel’s chaplain, warmly welcomed the couple upon arrival. A key highlight of the visit was the presentation of food supplies and relief materials to the inmates, a gesture that brought smiles and hope to many.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFWu3YReoLs A Lagos-based prophet, Godwin Ikuru, has issued a public apology for defaming and cyberbullying Dr Paul Enenche, the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, and his wife, Dr Becky Enenche. In a public apology published on a national daily, Ikuru expressed deep regret for his defamatory, abusive and hurtful comments directed at the couple, acknowledging that his words were not only misleading but also damaging and completely unacceptable. Ikuru further admitted that his actions were fueled by malice, prejudice, and ignorance and that he violated the fundamental human rights of the Enenches, especially their right to personal dignity. He acknowledged his ignorance of the law, noting that his actions amounted to cyberbullying, a crime punishable by imprisonment without an option of fine. Ikuru reiterated that Dr Paul Enenche and his wife had never wronged him in any way and that the negative statements made in his videos were unfounded and untrue. He commended the Enenches as respected servants of God and expressed deep regret for any distress or harm caused to them, their family, and their followers. His apology reads below: “I, Godwin Ikuru, wish to express my sincere apologies for my defamatory, abusive, and hurtful statements against Dr. Pastor Paul “Enenche and his dear wife, Dr. M. Becky Enenche. It has become clear to me that my words were not only misleading and fallacious, but also intense, hurtful, damaging, and completely unacceptable. “I have also realized that my actions were motivated by malice, prejudice, hate, and ignorance. And being thus instigated by hate and bitterness, I acted in breach of their fundamental human rights, especially their right to personal dignity. “I never knew that my actions amounted to cyberbullying, which is punishable with imprisonment without an option of fine, and this made me liable to imprisonment. “A member of Dunamis International Gospel Centre invoked the provisions of this law, got me arrested, and charged me to court. Thus, I owe my freedom to the leniency of Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche and his wife for intervening in this case and tempering justice with mercy, as I acted in ignorance of the law. “This should also serve as a deterrent to all those who engage in cyberbullying, especially against reputable and genuine men of God and fathers of faith in Nigeria, to desist from their nefarious acts or face the wrath of the law. “I wish to reiterate the fact that Dr. Paul Enenche and his wife, Dr. Becky Enenche, never offended me in any way, and that any negative statement I made against them in those unfortunate videos is unfounded and untrue. They are reputable servants of God, and I hold them in high esteem. “I had caused great embarrassment through my actions, and I beg them to please accept my most humble and sincere apologies. I have fully realized the consequences of my actions, and I am committed to making all necessary amends.”
