Pastor Ezekiel Atang, the Lead Pastor of God’s House of Refuge, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, is dead.

IDOMA VOICE gathered that Pastor Ezekiel died on Monday evening.

The preacher was said to have gone into coma before giving up the ghost. His death has also been confirmed by fellow pastor, Kingsley Okonkwo on Facebook.

“My brother and my friend, my partner in family life mandate to the body of christ. You left an indelible mark, and unforgettable legacy, you spoke with clarity and conviction, loved by all, we will definitely miss you.”

“I received the invitation to your 50th birthday celebration same day you went to be with the Lord. I’m happy I spoke to you and saw you a few days before you went to be with the Lord, we love you – you will never be forgotten on this side.”

He was 49, and would have been 50 in three weeks time.

An indigene of Ikot Udota in Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom state, Pastor Ezekiel served under the ministry of a spiritual mentor for fifteen years before starting his own, precisely on the 16th of April 2006.

He was an International Relationship expert, author and speaker. He was the founder and CEO of Fresh Wine for Couples International.

He was also the facilitator of Singles Frank Talk, which is known for drawing upward of 6-8,000 youths monthly.

He was the author of the best seller “Understanding Sex” including other books like; Lord, I’m still single, why? The marriage parable, Overcoming Masturbation, Sex and Destiny, Communication without Contention, and Transforming your marriage in 40 days.

Pastor Atang is survived by wife, Dr. Dara who pastors with him in the ministry and their union is blessed with 3 children, Levi, Olive and Ephraim.

The seat for Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency is now open to all the three local government areas to contest as we approach the 2023 general election.

Any eligible candidate is now free to contest across party lines and across the three local government areas which form Enone Federal Constituency.

It's either the contest is thrown open or the various stakeholders meet to zone it to one Local Government Council Area

In Ado Local Government, we have Zone A and B.
Zone A comprises of Utonkon, Ikpomilokpo and Igumale.

Agila Sub Zone has produced House of Representatives Member in person of Hon Bernard Otsepa.

Ijigban Sub Zone of Ari has produced Late Hon Emmanuel Oketa and the current Member Hon Dr. Francis Ottah Agbo. Note: With this, Ijigban District has enjoyed two terms already.

Igumale Sub Zone of Zone A produced Late Hon Chief David Attah and Hon Samuel Obande which equally is two terms.

Utonkon and Ikpomilokpo .....None.

Agila...........................................1 term

Okpokwu Local Government Council has equally enjoyed their full time term of 8yrs with Hon David Idoko Onobi.

Ogbadibo Local Government Council has enjoyed full time term of 8yrs with Hon Hassan Salem.

Ado Local Government Area has enjoyed full-time term of 8yrs plus.

From the above analysis, the question now is, who is going to be the next Enone House of Representatives? Which of the three local government areas should the seat be micro zone to? Should the seat be thrown open to all the aspirants across the three local government? Time shall tell as we approach the party primary elections.

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has acknowledged the support of the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleiman to the plight of Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs in Benue State.

Apostle Suleiman during a courtesy call on the Governor announced a donation of N20 million for the upkeep of the IDPs.

Governor Ortom stated that the concern shown by the man of God at the height of external aggression against people of the state through the donation of cash and call is also appreciated.

The Governor spoke Tuesday, 8th February 2022 when he received Apostle Johnson Suleiman and his delegation at the Benue Peoples House on a courtesy call.

He thanked the Apostle for finding time to personally visit Benue to identify with the people especially IDPs and support financially for their upkeep.

Earlier, Apostle Johnson Suleiman who is in the state for a city-wide crusade urged the Governor to believe in the course he is fighting, stressing that those who believe in what he is fighting are more than those against him.

He stated that though the Bible says people will reap what they sow, it is unfortunate some people have sown in their old age and may not live to reap.

The House of Representatives on Wednesday accused Nigerian motion industry globally as Nollywood of promoting ritual killings through its movies.

It also urged the National Orientation Agency (NOA), stakeholders, and the media to initiate a campaign towards changing the situation in the country.

This followed the adoption of a motion of urgent public importance by Toby Okechukwu, the deputy minority leader, at the plenary in Abuja.

Presenting the motion, Okechukwu said that incidents of ritual killings had assumed an alarming rate in Nigeria while decrying the upsurge of reported ritual killings, and abductions in different parts of the country.

“Ritual killing had become a predominant theme in most homemade movies which if not checked, our younger generation may begin to view it as an acceptable norm,” he said.

Popular Nigerian transwoman, Miss Sahhara has some words of advice for those who wish to transition into womanhood.

Taking to her Instagram story, Sahhara disclosed that she spent the night in the hospital after undergoing corrective surgery with the drains still attached.

She advised those prospective trans-genders against rushing into making decisions for their body because to become a woman is a marathon and not sprint.

I spent the night in the hospital after the surgery with the drains still attached, the surgery is to correct some pain and mistakes I made during my journey into womanhood. We go through hell to be our true selves, it’s a shame that some people trivialize our identity without knowing what it takes to be us.

I hope they never go through what I have been through.

To my trans sisters, I see a lot of you making the same mistakes I made in order to fit into society. Please be patient, don’t rush into doing things your body will produce naturally. Becoming the woman you truly are takes years, it is a gradual marathon step, not a sprint.

Recall that in an interview with IDOMA TV, Oche's father, Chief Agbo Ella had said he is proud of son, who was once his son and would welcome her with open arms if she chooses to return home.

He denied ever disowning Clifford Oche, now Miss Sahhara, stressing that he would gladly accept bride price from any man who is willing to take his daughter to altar.

“Provided they can live together, why not? I will accept,” he said when asked by IDOMA TV host, Naomi Oboyi.

Nigerian music icon, Innocent Ujah Idibia has said he has stopped impregnating women.

The singer said women should feel free to mingle with him as he no longer put girls in the family way.

IDOMA VOICE observed that the Okpokwu-born Africa Queen crooner stated this at the just-concluded Idoma International Carnival in Otukpo, Benue State.

The singer, who was one of the invited artistes at the carnival, said he can now control his third leg.

He said, "E be like some babe dey fear to shout, make una no fear, I no dey give belle like that again. I don change, ask anybody, they will tell you I am innocent.
The 46-year-old has 7 kids from three women.

The Mark Sports Foundation (MSF), Promoters of the Annual Mark D Ball Basketball Championship, have kick started activities towards the successful hosting of this year’s event. Interestingly, this year’s edition will be hosted in Nigeria’s capital city of Abuja for the first time.

Popular Nollywood actor, Chiwetalu Agu has linked the current government of President Muhammadu Buhari to that of Adolf Hitler.

The actor said he has lost hope in Nigeria because its leaders have failed and are heartless.

Organisers of Idoma International Carnival have honoured Ms Alice Alache Akla Adepe, Miss Nigeria 1963.

She was honoured with a lifetime achievement award at the just concluded Idoma International Carnival, held in Otukpo, Benue State, IDOMA VOICE reports.

In her short citation read by Henry Ipole, the organisers described the former beauty queen as a living monument for Idoma, Benue State and Nigeria.

Presenting the award to her, the National President of Ochetoha K'Idoma, AVM Tony Adokwu described the septuagenarian as the "people’s heroine."

Born to the family of Akla Adepe of the Oono family in Otukpo-Icho in the present Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State, she created history by being the second lady from Northern Nigeria to win the coveted crown for which she was rewarded with a scooter.
When she returned to Otukpo after her victory and made a historic trip through the streets of Otukpo on her scooter where she was cheered by hundreds of men and women who thronged the streets to welcome their heroine.

58 years after that heroics, Ms Adepe is still the people’s heroine. She is one of the irrefutable chapters of history that reminds Nigerians at large of the invaluable contributions of the Idoma to the making of modern Nigeria.

Popular recording artiste and entertainer, Slim Joe Omo Alajo (Joshua Olonitan) is dead.


IDOMA VOICE recalls that the singer was down with kidney ailment and needed N15million for surgery to rise to his feet again.

The entertainer, who ruled the airwaves with ‘O ti Yanyan’ and many other hit songs and collaborations, was diagnosed with the kidney failure and has been on dialysis for some time.

The versatile entertainer, who hails from Odo-Ayedun in Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti State, had called for the kind support of Nigerians to raise the required amount to stay alive.

The singer, however, died on Sunday at the age of 30.

His colleague, Raymond Gbaji, confirmed his death on Sunday.

8. It is a season of great acceleration and accentuation of things.

9. The judgment of Jehovah will move out of the way every man, woman and thing that is standing in the way of the move of God in the church, in nations and territories and for your life; it is a season of recompense and reward for the ungodly!
- Any man or woman standing in the way of the move of God for your life and destiny, in this season, they are moved out of the way!

10. It is a season of increased authority for the child of God; a season of increased authority and royalty for the church; there shall be an increase in level of command; the realm of saying it and seeing it! Not just the pastor but the church.

A Deeper Life Pastor, Odogbo Elaigwu John has emerged the new Och'Idoma of Idoma land!

He pulled 19 of the 28 total votes cast to emerge the new paramount ruler of the Idoma nation.

Pastor Elaigwu, who pastors with Deeper Life, becomes the first Agatu to be elected as the Och'Idoma after defeating the likes of Arch Sonny Echono, Prof Armstrong Adejo, Chief Idakwo and others in a keenly contested election today in Otukpo.

He was born on 27th March,1969 as the 5th born to the family of Mr. ELAIGWU EKOJA in Obagaji the headquarters of AGATU local government of Idoma in Benue State.
There is currently jubilation in Otukpo, the ancestral headquarters of Idoma nation following the emergence of Pastor John Elaigwu as the new Och'Idoma.

The management of Greenworks Farms Limited, Makurdi, the Benue State capital, has placed a N500,000 bounty on one Moses Awuhe for stealing some livestock from the farm.

The farm Manager Mr. Innocent Akogwu, who confirmed the development, said Awuhe made away with some livestock barely a week after he resumed as the farm security officer.


According to Akogwu, a week after Moses resumed, he said he wanted to go for a village meeting in Gboko but he was turned down.

He said, "We employed him last month after the guy from Kaduna left.

According to Akogwu, he got a call from Moses Awuhe on Sunday morning, that "around 11pm on Saturday, I (Moses) saw a flash light in the farm, and I became scared, jumped through the fence and escaped to Wannune".

The Manager said he had to rush to the farm to check, because Moses Awuhe's story sounded so fishy and unbelievable. On getting there, he noticed some livestock were missing.

"He has since ran away. We are placing a N500,000 on him. Anyone who finds him would be handsomely rewarded."

He added that the matter has already been reported to the police and is currently under investigation.


A police source told our reporter that the matter has been reported to the police and investigation is on to arrest the suspect.

The 2021 edition of the annual Kingdom Power and Glory World Conference of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre has ended.

The Christian Pentecostal Mission International (CPM) has officially confirmed the death of its General Overseer, Rev. Obiora Ezekiel.

IDOMA VOICE reports earlier that the fiery preacher, who is one of the founding fathers of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, died at the age of 78.

Confirming the sad development in a statement obtained by IDOMA VOICE on Sunday,

Rev. John Uzeh, Coordinator; CPM Int'l Imo state, Nigeria and member board of trustees, said the cleri came, saw, conquered, and left triumphantly.

Uzeh said, "Before his departure, he had been telling us to keep the vision alive, and the fire burning: that the mantle is with us; the glory is with us while he goes to wait for us to come over when the time is ripe."

The General Overseer of Christian Pentecostal Mission(CPM), Lagos, Rev. Dr Obiora Ezekiel is dead.

Rev. Ezekiel died at the age of 78.
IDOMA VOICE reports that until his death, the cleric preached the gospel of Christ for about 30 years with a record of miracles, signs and wonders following his ministry.

He left behind his ever-supportive wife, Dr. Mercy Ezekiel, the National/International coordinator of Christian Pentecostal Mission, a prayer machine; and they are blessed with children and a grandchild.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboy, was on Sunday at the Glory Dome of Dunamis International as part of activities to mark the ministry’s 25th anniversary.

IDOMA VOICE reports that Daddy G.O, as Pastor Adeboye is fondly called was accompanied by his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye.

Welcoming the cleric amid cheers and excitement from congregation, Dr. Paul Enenche recalled his first encounter with Pastor Adeboye in the late 70s as a young boy in Otukpo, Benue State.

He recalled “Sir, but if there is any fruit you have produced in the world, here is one standing. We are part of your spiritual genealogy and we are happy to be a part of that spiritual lineage. You have been involved in our lives from very early; '78, '79. I was 11 years old when you came to Otukpo in Benue State and then I encountered your ministry. Since then, of the global generals worldwide, you are the first whose ministry I encountered at that early age. I remember one of your associates then, Pastor David Cole was instructing me on how to be fervent in the Lord, how to fast and pray and remain with God and that seed left an indelible mark.”

“Sir, we want to let you know that your labour globally is appreciated and I know that you know

“Our leader then, brother Victor who was your ardent disciple. He was very impactful at that time and then 19 years ago, when we were only 6 years old, you visited us in the Area One Church under the canopy we set, 2002 titled; "No More Tears".

“You ministered powerfully and since then we have been in touch. When this construction was on, you came to the ground, drove round and prophesied upon the land and the building. You were thankful to God that this kind of property was available.

“On my 50th birthday, you would have come in person but you sent video message and also sent very strong delegation, your right -hand man and son; Pastor Leke was there in person with others. I'm saying all these, I'm sure you are aware but just to let you know that we value you, we honour you, we respect you and to let you know that we are fully conscious of your deposit in our lives. We are on this lineage and God has proved that who you follow determines what follows you. Your company determines your accompaniment. You cannot walk with giants and take dwarf steps. God has helped us and we glad.

“Mama, we thank You so much. The simplicity of Mummy is on another level. One day we were at the Redemption Camp, she was busy working and trying to serve the Pastors and my wife rushed at her; "Oh Mummy, don't do anything. We are here, let's serve". She refused vehemently: "No! I'm going to continue serving the people. That is why we are here". I heard the message that day "That is why we here". That's why I'm around here to serve as well as that is what brought us to this level - service. She continued to serve that day. If you want to serve, do your own service but I will do my own service.

“Please Sir, permanently remember that you have a deposit, a lineage, a seed and in our little way, God is helping us to reproduce the impact that your life has made. Two, three years ago, he was meant to go to North America for the North America Redeemed Congress and he was not able to go and he said to me, that I should go and represent him there at the North America Congress of RCCG and I don't take any of those for granted.”

On his part, Pastor Adeboye said he was happy over what God is doing through his servant, Dr. Paul and God’s handmaiden, Dr. Mrs. Becky Enenche.

He said is prayer has all being that his children should be greater than him.

The general overseer of the redeemed Christian Church of God, pastor Enoch Adeboye has urged Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom not to be distracted by what is going on around him.

Adeboye gave the counsel on Sunday at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre Glory Dome, Abuja.

Adeboye and his wife, Pastor Folu, who were at Dunamis Church as part of activities to mark the ministry's 25th anniversary, said they were proud to be associated with Governor Ortom, whom they described as their son.

Itoro, the young man who killed Tordue Salem, reporter with Vanguard Newspaper who was declared missing some days ago and later found dead, has revealed what happed.

Itoro, 29, a native of Akwa Ibom State, said he was driving around Mabushi bring in the night when he knocked down a pedestrian, for fear of being lynched, he fled.

According to him, his car was damaged and he fixed it the following day and continued his business.

Speaking while being paraded on Friday, the young man said he didn't stop because he thought he was an armed robber.

The lawmaker representing Surulere Constituency at the Lagos State of Assembly, Hon. Desmond Elliot, on Friday attended the ongoing Dunamis mega crusade in the state.

The crusade tagged, Lagos Mega Healing and Deliverance Crusade is hosted by Dr. Paul Enenche and Dr. Mrs. Becky Enenche of Dunamis at Teslim Balogun Stadium.

Hon. Elliot, a Nollywood actor while welcoming the Dr. Enenche and his team to Lagos, recall that he had known the cleric for almost 40 years now.

He said despite the farming in the land, it doesn't take away the fact that God is still God.

The Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, on Saturday, dedicated the Destiny Christian Academy (Dunamis' school complex) Lafia Central, Nasarawa State.

IDOMA VOICE reports that the new school is part of the Dunamis' vision to saturate the earth with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.

He was accompanied by his wife, Dr. Becky Enenche and other ministers.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Paul Enenche said the church would continue to contribute to the development of education across the globe.
He noted that most of the top universities across the globe were founded by churches.

Many persons have lost their lives and several others injured in a tanker explosion that occurred din Kubwa area of Abuja on Friday.
The explosion has led to a fire outbreak at a shop near the main market.

Femi Osibona, owner of Fourscore Homes, the developing company in charge of the building that collapsed in Ikoyi Lagos has been found dead.

The body was found on Thursday evening.

IDOMA VOICE gathered that his lifeless body was discovered around 6pm in the debris of the collapsed building.

Born Olufemi Adegoke Osibona, Femi Fourscore, as he is known, is a native of Ikenne, Ogun state.




The real estate developer until his death was the managing director of Fourscore Homes, a real estate development firm.




He attended Mayflower School in Ikenne before heading for Croydon University in the United Kingdom to study business and finance for his HND.




Meanwhile, search is still on for the bodies of the rest victims.

Ruth is the daughter of Bishop David Abioye.

Dr. Paul also ministered in songs in Idoma language in honour of the bride, who is his kinsman (Idoma).
