Please i need a solution to this kinda problem.
I bought a HP 2000tx entertainment laptop last year. and just last month i was browsing and the screen suddenly went blank. since then if I boot up the system, the lights will show but the display screen will remain blank.
I don`t know what to do.
Please help me out experts.

since nothing shows on the screen, then the problem is the ram. i'll suggest you remove & fix it back.

Someone please help, how do I restore the original windows of a lappy that comes without cd rom drive e.g portege? I need to reformat and reinstall but only usb external drive is available, can i use that? what do I do? please help

is it an external cd rom drive or just a flash?

What will make a laptop hang up at the booting stage and never boot up to Windows, I mean Windows XP will just keep loading and loading and loading, I've formatted 100 times, still the same prob.

if it indicates its booting on the CPU & shoes nothing on the screen, then ur problem is the ram. remove it & fix it back. that should solve ur problem.

LP5 normally means that the package is corrupt. This can happen as a result of a bad download or malware on your PC.

There are also some reports on the web that this error can be provoked by bugs in 3rd party software.

thats cos u have a sata hard disk & ur prolly installing xp which is why its telling u that

the easiest thing to do is install xp service pack 3 which will recognize the sata hard disk

the others method are long & complicated
