It didn't start this season.

In season 1, think about when the imp traveled from winter fell to the wall and back to kings landing and how catelyn traveled from winter fell to kings landing and to the vale. This time line discrepancies have been established since season one. You just didn't notice it then.
You just gave me an example of what am talking about. What you wrote above is a good example of a real time travel am talking about.

Because people are stupid. Don't be silly.
It's a fact that each season covers 1 year or so in Westeros, so, yes, it's about a year from Jon's death to Dany starting her invasion.

You guys really don't expect them to show every character travelling, right?
You don't understand nobody expects them to characters traveling or when they sleep and wake up. The shit started this season.

Oga, there is no time travel in the show. It has already been talked about here that the timeliness are not concurrent. They don't happen at the same exact moment in spacetime. It has nothing to do with GRRM. It's just budget issues most likely. People have been complaining about it even from the beginning so, your GRRM point is invalid. How do you want them to show it? They are practically squeezing in months of real time into 45 mins.

The timelines are not concurrent, plain and simple.
No need to talk with you, alright?? Why flash and Varys meme online?

One bottle of multi for you.

At the red wedding when the stack and their loyal men where slaughtered by (I have forgotten their names maybe I go rewatch the movie later) tywin lannister came to kingslanding shouting we won the battle as if he was at the red wedding. So you expect Jon to be shouting the knight of the val won when he was the one leading the battle or you think the knight of the val would have defeated Ramsey Bolton alone if not for Jon and his men who attack first living Ramsey with little men.

Lets say for example you got a contract and you paid 5 helpers for the job , when the job is done all credit will goes to the contractor not the helpers because if it wasn't for him the helpers won't be working in the site.

Jon may not be a good tactics but he is good at leading if na lie ask tormund.

You said Jon killed many of his men in the battle, didn't Ramsey kill more of his men than Jon. Even if Ramsey wins he Will not be able to defend winterfell from other enemies because he has little men, that why the knight of the val can easily defeat Ramsey.

Abeg I don tire to write.
My bro you try jare. Stop typing ....

Soon, Jon thought as they climbed. He'd seen the harbinger that had come to Maester Aemon with word of summer's end, the great raven of the Citadel, white and silent as Ghost. He had seen a winter once, when he was very young, but everyone agreed that it had been a short one, and mild. This one would be different. He could feel it in his bones.
ok.

I mean where you read it in the books or conversations that Jon and Sansa have witnessed a winter before, but it was short.

Jon didnt win the battle, Vale knights did.
Jon has no men, the Vale boys do.

It makes no sense that the lords of the north would trust their men to a reckless commander who had to be rescued by another house.

I mean, if even Sansa can't trust the dullard, how on earth are the nothern lords so eager to trust him...especially after a disastrous battle?

Surely, this point I'm making is pretty obvious no?
Yoi are making sh!t up actually.

He is a highly skilled swordfighter as Ramsey himself attested to it, from the words of both his friends and enemies, and he might not be such a good tactician his emotions failed him at d battle of the bastards and datz just it.

3.Jon said it all and i quote " Freefolk, the Northerners and the knights of the vale fought bravely, fought together and we won...my father used to say we find our true friends at the battle field" what more do u want songs will be sung of that battle in years to come everybody knows they swung the winning sword.....the rest of the northerners dont need that knowledge rubbed on their faces.....

There is no need to result to petty insults. Its a discussion. All he is saying is that some character's journey don't need much emphasis. When GOT elaborates on a journey, its because there is a dialog or event in that journey that is crucial to the story. What would Sam and Gilly's conversations be like. We all say what it was on the ship. So I don't think showing the journey was crucial. The same can be said of Varys'
Was frustrated when the guy said should they write 3 months later like naija movies, and another one saying some people want GoT to be showing them when Dany wakes in the morning, eat breakfast and other sh!t to i got to replied that in their face. But my point is even if there is no dialog during road travel or characters going to other places, they should just depict it somehow. Can you imagine someone here even said the Iron Island (Pyke) is not far from Meeren, and that's how Yara and Theon got to Meeren so fast. Another thing is if you watch closely lack of reportage in time travel started in season 6. So maybe its because they didn't have G.R.R.M book 6 and they were also twisting and doing hollywood on characters

I agree with you that maturity isn't restricted to age, even though you have to agree that this holds true only from some agreed age forward. What is that age? 10? 15? Open to debate.

But beyond this, wielding power and allegiance is depend end on so many other factors apart from age and maturity, and even more so when such age is on the low side ( see joffery and tommen); now like I said, its dependent on many factors hence an old man like Ned and the baratheons can fall while trying to weild same power. This I think is the essence of varys words- that you cannot actually determines who and what wields power at a particular point, its the end that justifies and gives legitimacy to the means.

Like cersei said after threatening someone ( can't remember who now) "power is power". Its regardless of who wields it or how.

Even dany without her dragons won't have lasted this long, and you bet she's more mature than the little lady.
She threatened Baelish.

That's the mistake you're making. Events across Westeros aren't happening simultaneously, perhaps not even sequentially. If you've read A Feast For Crows and A Dance With Dragons, you'd know that.
While I won't deny that there are statistical differences, with the scope of the show, it's the only way.

The Iron Islands are on the West of Westeros, while Meeren is far East to the South East of Essos, its farther than the distance between the Wall and the Reach which is just down south of Westeros. I guess we can ignore timelines, since that would mean more screentime.

Like someone else said, do you want them to be putting 3 months later? This is a show not a film, different arcs may or may not occur in different timeframes. It's just the way it is.

Also, does it matter? So far you can understand. I mean, were you really thinking the battle of bastards took 20minutes? Or varys traveled from dorne to mereen in 2 minutes?

It's just one of those things we have to ignore.

Also, in Sam's case, you can use the baby as a frame of reference , that's what i did.
Guy you need to think, nobody said they should be putting 3 months later. GoT manage time frame and time travel from season 1 to 5. Season 6 was just were writers intend to put characters wherever they like and also put in some elements of surprise, like Arya serving at the twins. Arya's journey to Braavos for example, we all saw how she boarded a ship to braavos. Ned and King Robert entourage we all saw as they went through king's road and how dramas ensued. Transportation of Tyrion in a box to pentos. But season 6 some characters were just placed wherever they want them to be without accounting for time travel. Please if you no get wetin i dey talk just shut up and dont quote with your shiit that do i expect them to write 3 months later.

Guy, GoT is a great show but their time travel is shit. For example look at Sam's journey, had it been that they have more roles for him, he could have arrived the Citadel library since episode 3, but they delayed his arc because no real story on his journey. The fact is since season 6 they start placing characters were they need to be not accounting for travel time. We all saw the long journey Brienne and Podrick undergo to reach the north, what about when Varys and Tyrion were traveling to locate Daenarys. But season they just drop characters were they need to be, doesn't matter tge location, whether its far or near.

I think Queen Cersei is the new Villain next season. But Dragon Queen's sigil looks Villainish, but more emphasis on her father (the mad King) will not make her a villain. Expect more dialogues as alliances starts in season 7.

There is no aeroplane or dragon. This episode could have spanned 8 months or even a year. Everything in the episode didn't happen in a week. And also, the happenings might not be serial.
D &grin lost the plot of time travel, putting characters at the actual location they need to be, without accounting for time travel. Look at Samwell Tarly journey from castle back to the Library. If they wanted to rush his story, he could have arrived at the citadel since Episode 1.

I remember you saying exactly this about Dany. "Dany isn't immune to fire" ...."blood magic this and that".

We know, viserys wasn't, we know Dany is. But we don't know why she is (not enough evidence). We know that she claimed that viserys wasn't a true dragon because fire cannot kill a dragon.

Maybe Jon snow is a true dragon.

Maybe he isn't.

If according to the series, only true dragons are immune to the fire, then Targaryens (some or most) may be immune to fire depending on bow frequently "true dragons" are born.
I remember G.R.R.M saying that when Daenerys enter that burning fire with the witch and Khal Drogo dead body in it. He said it could be a one -off thing, a bit of luck. But when she does two, three times and legend also has it that Targeyens are immune to fire. Then it's could Daenarys is immune to fire and not a matter of luck, its in-born.

GoT doesn't care about anybody except whomever they want to build story on. Lady Olenna family is wiped out and she's feeling somehow chilling negotiating in Dorne. I also want to know the dragon or aeroplane that flew Varys soon after his meeting in Dorne to Mereen.
