First, in North and South America, the colonisers practiced settler colonisation where they brought their people in large numbers to settle. Only in a few African countries was settlers colonisation practiced such as Algeria, South Africa, Mozambique, Angola, Zimbabwe and Namibia.

We need to remember a lot of Amerindians were killed by diseases the white man brought to the New World. This was not the same with Africa which had contact with Europeans and Arabs for thousands of years. It is estimated that is Peru lost 90% of it's population after the white man arrived

We should have remember that apart from the whites settling in the Americas, they also brought black slaves. Black slaves brought wealth to their white owners but meant their owners had a permanent presence. These slaves made their owners wealthy so they had a stake in staying. In Africa, the whites did not set up any farms in Africa except in South Africa, Sao Tome, Cape Verde, Mauritius (with a small white minority), Kenya and Zimbabwe.

Whites didn't settle enmasse in Africa as it was called the white man's grave. The weather was inhospitable and malaria made the continent a graveyard. Whites rarely passed the coast.

And the Caribbean, S. America was lovely? Euros has no issue making the place suitable for making money, of course it isn't a good idea to try to tame the Nile rain forest.

The purpose of Columbus' voyages was to bypass the Muslims/Turks and find another route to the East for trade. What Columbus discovered in the Americas was excellent for setting up shop and making money, sugar, tobacco, coffee, minerals, and later on stuff like Rum. Remember these were Trading Companies early on, then they became colonies of X country later on.
The primary purpose was the make money. Therefore with new land suitable for large plantations, and lots of goods to trade with Africans, the Africans could trade with slaves. It was mutual. And now with an entire new continent why piss off your trading partners?

Assad in Syria started his civil war by killing his people, Arab Spring protesters, then he ramped it up with artillery and shelling. He is a very bad man. You realize that 10-12 countries have meddled around in Syria. . US is in Afghanistan by invitation, just like Russia in Syria. Libya was a French/British/EU op, US did provide support. Gaddafi was "publicly" blackmailing the EU. He threatened the EU with mass illegal immigration if they did not pay him 4-5 Billion. He was dead 1 year later.

What "white monopoly capital"? There are lots of global energy companies and they employ all kinds of people, whites blacks whatever, and they compete with each other. Most are publicly traded and you can buy their stock if you want to. The only thing that resembles a monopoly is the Royal Family.
