Other banks have already started the restriction process. UBA has cancelled it already, GTB has limit it to $100 a month(soon they will remove it totally). other bank users are also getting the message via sms or mail.

Welcome to Nigeria where nothing works.
Tot travelex will make the dollar low a bit but with this new move by CBN, just buy dollars this week and keep it against next week/month.

it wont affect the market one bit..this move would rather see the black market rate drop when this banks are reintroduced to the market..this is solely because they refuse to sell remitance to bdcs at near official rate .instead they sell through the back door at black market rate..this mainly because travelex is selling remitance at almost cbn rate

I really wish i could be hopeful but the folks with billions of stolen naira stashed in safes and farms will mop up whatever is brought in with the quickness for onward transfer to their numerous foreign accounts....

Nigeria is a peculiar country, what has worked and is still working in other countries almost never do here, it's like there is something (apart from corruption duh) defective in naija's genetic makeup that just doesn't want to be great!!!

We may solely be import dependent but we all know importers don't require more than 40-50% of forex in the system, proceed of corruption is what is majorly chasing forex upandan.

ive been chanting this for years now..i call them cabals or evil men..they're in every sector of the Nigerian economy, not just forex!! My solution.. huh

Killl all the politicians In Nigeria. .spare no one.

We cant sustain renewable energy at this point..coal still remains the number 1 energy source all over the world, infact upto 40% of the total energy produced world wide comes from coal.
