Job Title: Bookkeeper – QuickBooks Online
Location: Fully Remote

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper with strong experience using QuickBooks Online (QBO) to join our growing accounting/bookkeeping/tax practice. This role will involve managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for a portfolio of clients across various industries. The ideal candidate is organized, trustworthy, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a small team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage client accounts using QuickBooks Online
• Categorize and reconcile bank and credit card transactions
• Process and post accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping and recordkeeping
• Collaborate with clients to obtain necessary documentation
• Maintain up-to-date financial records in compliance with best practices and client requirements

Qualifications:
• 1+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a client-service setting
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required (QBO ProAdvisor certification a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working remotely with reliable internet and workspace
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills

You just said the word! Someone on a WhatsApp group for lawyers that I’m In , used the reference letter From the bank in the Prescribed IRCC format only, without any statements or anything and she’s in Canada now.

Please do you have an idea of how the 6 months average is computed. I think this is the major reason I'm thinking of submitting bank statement.

My humble opinion - please use NOC 3113. I think for us doctors there isn't much else you can be except a doctor when it comes to job duties... you will notice that your main duties match the lead statement of 3113. Even though there are some matches with 3124, I think 3113 is a better match. Not all doctors perform procedures/surgeries, and I can see that's the main thing missing there. You prescribed medications right? Please add that (use prescribe, not 'administer', I believe those are 2 different things). Also add "diagnose" eg "examine and diagnose patients with oral complaints". You should include something along the lines of "supervising other staff" (the last statement in 3113) which you likely would have done working with nurses, assistants etc. (Guidance on page 1 says it should match lead statement and essential duties).

Please I just realize that my job description in one of my places of work I intend to use for work reference (a primary health centre) for NOC 3113 (Dentist) does not closely match the NOC job description, majorly because I did not carry our any procedures (such as scaling and polishing, filing, extraction etc.). This is because the primary health centre does not have the relevant equipment. So most of what I did were examining patients with dental and oral complaints, administer drugs, refer to tertiary hospitals where the case is beyond what we could manage, Management of pediatric patients (Dietary counselling, fluoride therapy) and Oral health education.


However, most of the other activities I carried out closely match that of Physician Assistant, which is part of NOC 3124 (Allied primary health practitioners).

Even though I am a Dentist by training, do you then think I should change my NOC to 3124 post ITA, or leave at NOC 3113, based on the explanations above.

What IRCC actually wants to see is "average balance for the past 6 months", we are the ones who have interpreted this to read 6 months worth of statements or money must be in your account for 6 months.......perhaps in the absence of average balance from our banks.

#Personal Opinion......in bold...very important for POF....showing/explaining the source of funds. POF ADRs seems to be an indirect way of VO saying "where is this money from, is it really yours"?

Whenever there is a lump sum, it may be best to explain where it's from e.g. accumulated savings of monthly salary for the past 5 years, gift from mum, sale of land, lottery win etc., with associated supporting documents.

this is an ADR they sent someone of recent . His salary was N1. 2m but had investment of 4m which had used over 6months in his account. Sometimes the visa officers use common sense. Provide source of the 70% to avoid stories that touch.

To the very experienced seniors in the house

Please I need a clarification regarding POF.

I deposited about 70% of my POF into my account as a lump sum back then in July. Since then, I have been adding to it from my monthly salary, and now the POF is complete.

If by any chance I receive ITA now, is it safe to accept it, especially considering that the fund wouldn't have stayed in my account for 6 months.

Or better still, since IRCC now gives 90 days to complete application, can I wait till say the 75th day of receiving ITA, before collecting the letter from the bank and with that, the lump sum payment would have stayed in there for about 6 months.

I would really appreciate your opinion please.

The reason for us giving light to them is due to the fact that Kanji dam, which is our major generating means, is on River Niger, and this river flows through those countries. Please I need help with these Tax queries.

Firstly, I want to know how long a tax payer has to pay his tax liability. The basis of my confusion is that LIRS put 7 days on the notice of assessment but I am well aware that PITA provides for 2 months from the date of service of the notice of assessment.

Secondly, I also want to be sure if a tax payer can write the tax authorities for a breakdown of his Tax assessment( not objection but a breakdown) and the time frame within which he can. I was told 30 days( would like to confirm)

Also, I want to have an idea of how long it takes to facilitate a Tax Clearance Certificate from LIRS after paying Tax due. Thanks

. For normal monthly PAYE tax payments, payments are due on or before the 10th day of the month following the month of salary
. For assessment which is not subject to any objection, payment is to be made within 2 months
. For assessment determined after objection, payment is to be made within 1 month

Yes you can ask, they normally ask you to come with a CD to obtain their computations. Also, since you can object within 30 days of receipt of assessment notice, it is save to say that you can also obtain the breakdown within 1 month

After submitting the application form, you should be able to obtain your tax card within 3 weeks. You may have to keep following up on them though.
