I v make my enquiry on the distribution of 10m.the issue is that he distributed 5k to people that dropped their information and acc details. So I guess he must spend beyond.... But by next week, he will commence.. I just spoke to his PA on finance and he explained all to me over 350widows and old women v collected money, over 190hausa indigene from ife and modakekr alone as collected.. Covid: The dilemma between lockdowns and normalcy is real. No force in modern history other than the virus has placed capitalism in such crisis as to have to chose between death from the virus and economic collapse/death from hunger. Public health should guide policy.

In advanced economies this is cast as an ideological and philosophical divide between wealth creation in a free market and individual liberty, on one hand, and a stronger role by the state on the other.

In the United States, also, it has become a constitutional issue of states' rights versus federal government powers, with the balance clearly in favour of the states. President Trump asserted "absolute powers" to order a re-opening across the country, but constitutional lawyers have made clear his position is legally wrong, and some governors have told President Trump they will see him in court if he dares force them to re-open their states if public health conditions don't recommend it.

In Nigeria, the matter is far more existential. It is a debate between lockdowns and the economic survival of the poor who need their daily hustle to exist, especially when the ability of the federal government to put economic stimulus into the citizens' pockets is questionable.

For us in Nigeria, these dilemmas should motivate us to move our economy and our governance (including especially healthcare) to more basic levels that can provide the required support for our citizens in terms of livelihoods and jobs, as well as health services.

We must become more critical in what we need in leadership because we should deserve better. Else, we deserve whatever we have.

I lost my Caucasian female dog this morning. Since Friday the dog v been vomiting watery blood and also stooling. I called her vet, the vet observe her and said it might be pavo virus that she need to be admitted with a deposit of 15k..after running around I could not get any fee and my bank said (microfinance) said till after lock down before I can withdraw. So I placed her on ORS and some antibiotics... So the dog want on it till this morning that I found her dead. She is 11months and 3weeks old. Almost time for me to be reaping.

A=i woke up at mid night and my spirit told me to celebrate him cos the future is close-by.

Q=How can you describe Mr Makinde?

Hon. Rotimi Mikhail Makinde was born in Ile Ife, Osun State on the 3rd of January 1966 into the family of Alhaji Niniola Makinde. He is a Muslim and married to Queen Oyebanke Makinde (a loving daughter of Eesa of Iragbiji). They are blessed with children.

Hon Makinde started his formal education at Ansar Ud-Deen Primary School, Isale – Agbara, Ile Ife in 1976. He attended Okuu Grammar School, Okuu-Omoni, Ile Ife in 1983. He later proceeded to Government Teachers’ Training College, Sokoto and obtained his Ordinary Level Certificate. He gained admission to Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi where he obtained his National Diploma (ND) in Accountancy in 1989.

He later went to Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin for his HND (Higher National Diploma) and possessed the certificate, HND in Accountancy in 1998. As a man who values education, he proceeded to Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso and obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Accountancy in 2006. He didn’t stop there but went back to the same institution (Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso) for his Masters program and got a Master’s degree in Finance (MBA), 2008.
