Gurus in the house would that be enough to apply for visa? 13k pounds?

Please i need answer, and what re the documents he need to send to me, Note, he's also a UK citizen

If everything in your sponsor's account is 13k pounds. you can't convince the VO
1 That he will use all the money in his account to sponsor you
2 That you are not desperate to just enter canada and hustle
3 That 13k can even cover Accomodation, feeding and other expenses not to talk of with school fees.
So sorry, I believe that's a red flag already.
If you can get enough money in the account. Fine. Until then please don't dash CIC free money by applying

Yea it's still there, are you applying for refund or they should just hold it till next resumption? And when did you apply for the deferment since you got the letter already by 14th coz I applied on Thursday and Im yet to get the letter

Hello peeps, what is the difference between Letter of Intent, Letter of Explanation, Statement of Purpose.

To my own understanding, letter of intent and statement of purpose are same thing, like an essay about yourself, introduce yourself, who you are and why you have chosen the course, school and country. But letter of explanation is like a formal letter addressed to the VO explaining your application, the arrangement and what you think the VO might not understand about it

Man! Why are you notarizing original documents?? Just scan the original documents like that. You can notarize the letter from the sponsor. That was what I only notarized Abeg

Iv deferred already till September o..even the embassy asked me to upload my new admission letter with the new resumption date which is September within 3 weeks

Asset and 6 months bank statement of sponsor, Letter of support from sponsor, notarized letter stating he's my cousin. Letter from sponsor's office. Sponsor's tax slip. Sponsor's pay slip for a year.

I want to thank everybody here and everybody that has contributed in one way or the other towards the success of one another, God bless us all. I will list all the documents I submitted when I get home.
I just want to add one or two things based on my observations. The following list of things are what I think gives upper hand in various applications really and they are;
Good undergraduate Result(That shows you have prospects of getting job in your home country even if you don't have one)
Enough money in the account of one's sponsor
When sponsor is one's parent too is a good factor( P.S sponsor was my cousin and not bearing same name)
Assets
And explain as innocent as possible. No dick riding of VO
Prayer works too( After you've put all you can put)

I got a delayed mail from CIC yesterday claiming financial reasons.
I was not so surprised because i submitted very minimal doc. I have applied already before coming here to Nairaland and the people that have submitted the least of docs here always dwarfed what i submitted. But ever since i submitted i have been constantly here studying here and I am ready to repackage.
I will be mailing my school now for a new date. This is the year for my trv.

Errrrrm,it's the first chance I get after a long day to get on the Internet. Saw an update mail from CIC o,my heart begin pump fresh blood. Oya me I enter Mycic account na,no way. It keeps saying technical error after I log in. Anyone experiencing this too? I jes wanna get over with this tonight. #Lordhavemercy

Congrats bruv! I think when it's an update it's medical but when it's a rejection it's straight up in your mail

Hi guys accra immigration replied me that my biometrics has been received when i sent them a query mail. they said i shouldn't worry and that my application is still queuing for processing. although the status is yet to change. Jan 8 will make my application two months i applied and am yet to get the next step.

my school registration deadline is 14th and i intend sending a mail to my school on 12th to defer my admission till may which is the next session. will call the immigration today if i need to inform them after i make the deferment or do u guys think is necessary to inform them?

still waiting for request for supporting docs or medicals by faith and i know God will do it

@tnuola do you track your application at all? There's really something wrong because your date is well passed. I think you should track it via VFS website.

I have applied for accommodation but I have not gotten an offer yet. How long did it take to get ur TRV? I paid for just winter cos dts wt my student account shwed dt i owed. I have not registered for summer so i can't knw the exact fees.

Iv not gotten TRV yet, but by God's grace..me sef dey wait oo..Iv been waitlisted for accomodation too but I even want to stay off campus instead sef. The courses I registered for most are in university of Ottawa so off campus will be more convinient and even cheaper sef

Good day Nairalanders, I am kinda new here but I have been going through the threads and I appreciate what you are all doing here.

Anyways, I am in a difficult situation in my Study Permit Processing. I was given a conditional admission by Carleton University for a Masters in Engineering program in Electrical and Computer Engineering in November and it took some weeks for my Undergraduate University to send my transcripts to Canada.

I finally satisfied the condition, paid my Tuition fees for the Winter term and submitted an Online application for my Study permit on the 11th of December. I also did an upront medical examination last month and attached it and my police character certificate to my letter of explanation on my application.

Please, I will like to know what are my chances of getting my TRV before the 5th of January. I know I have not waited for long but I will like to know what my chances are of getting it timeously.
