They didn't waste my time at the airport, they asked for my letter of introduction I told them i was not given and they said okay. So about those worrying about it, it's not compulsory
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by Padike: 4:00pm On Aug 07, 2015

I might have been delayed o....
I just tracked now and it's bn dispatched.
I feel I should recieve a LOI...Even if I did upfront medicals.

Na until I go pick my passport I go know as e dey go..come yarn my guys..

My 1 cent for guys is to observe that the pendulum has swung ooo...
Canada doesn't need your extra documents.

All my guys outside dis forum barely submitted annything.

And if u observe what we join together here I feel it's now doing more harm than good.

Well....till I get my passport sha...But already thinking ahead..
Cheers..

All of a sudden Kosi pressure.
Guy relax, I told you they hardly send any letter if you do upfront, you might have been given. Just pray and relax

hayqinsbFX:
Okay padike,
Did that happen this year...

Because in the approval letter that's bn sent, there's a paragraph which says print this along with your passport and show it to the immigration officer.

Does everybody have to take this letter along with the passport at the POE
Thanks
It happened in December, early December, and no not everyone, I'm guessing the one you are talking about is letter of introduction, and it's not compulsory as I was not given too. Online tho

I got the approval mail.
Well I'm not sure that's how it is for everyone, coz the person didn't get Sha. We went to vfs together as we were hoping he got it until we saw it.

hayqinsbFX:
Mr padike, maybe ur friend missed the mail... mr joe980 here said he received an approval mail before he went to pick up his documents
I dnt even knw sef
He received a mail showing his TRV has been approved? I strongly doubt. Ask him to confirm coz I can't see his post on that
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by Padike: 10:43pm On May 27, 2015
hayqinsbFX:
Okay..
Which sud I go with now...

Any source?..
Nothing like approval email, they'll only tell
You your package is being sent back when you track it. My friend that is in Canada already experienced that. He only found out when he opened his passport.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by Padike: 3:55pm On May 27, 2015
hayqinsbFX:
Alright then..
100percent confirmed?
Nope! You get to know when you see your package physically

Well, whatever! Let's call a spade a spade, his first paragraph sounds more like an insult on Mrnilobrowns academic qualification. You can't insinuate he's lucky for been accepted when he worked hard for his own result too regardless wether its HND or BSC. Solo8 might have some realistic and factual points, but he doesn't need to sound that rude. His last sentence about bn lucky like MrNiloBrown and going back to nigeria too is uncalled for. Also MrNiloBrown, please take it easy. It's all well and good. You both made your points. Anyone who's interested in that particular topic can make further research. Nice week everyone!
Exactly, the perfect explanation of what just happened, mr darefestus, mr Hayqin or the name I don't know Sha, obviously you should try and understand nilobrown's point and not be so fast to take sides because maybe you just want to. Let's move on

Lol... Sorry but u still don't get me o... Someone was asking if he won't have any issues going to canada 3months before his start date, and I said he could go as long as he can fend for himself before resumption... Its okay tho smiley
Lol yes..I thougth it was the post of that person with 'near expiry' visa that is still yet to leave naija.

tnuola:
Lol.. I'm sorry but you replied the wrong post. My reply was to the person resuming 3months before classes start smiley
I thought you were telling the person could go anytime he/she likes(Which isnt really so). Okay then

You don't need to provide solid answers to anything.. You can enter canada as soon as you get your TRV dsnt matter whether ure resuming soon or not as long as you can take care of your living expenses. What I'm not sure of is if one can work straight up before school resumes
Lol I beg to differ, it is from the airport here in Nigeria they will start scrutinizing you as to why you are resuming late based on when your visa was issued, as someone said earlier, the person in question needs to pray to avoid further hiccups. It is well sha

Yes you have to upload all your documents online, submit, make payment and get your appointment date THEN printout the same form you submitted online, sign it and attach the same set of documents you submitted online and take them along for physical submission on your appointment day.
I ddnt see any option to upload in my application tho, I just took the printed documents and went to submit

taregs:
@ padike, is there a way they can find out if he thick NO
Obviously they can't verify whatever. When they deny you visa in all these embassies they always stamp rejection on it. So you have to declare that. But in the case where you don't have a denial stamp on it. There's no need

Tick yes and state the year u were denied
kol1234:
Is there anyone successful candidate that used SOA from an uncle alone?

if you have been denied visa in USA for close to 10yrs and you since moved on( then I was applying for undergraduate), is it advisable to complete it the part f the form that asked if one has been denied as NO or YES?

please I need your advise

Thanks
Don't tick yes ..as long as your passport was not marked by the U.S. embassy, there's no need to do that

Using CBN FORM A is totally different, its quite easy sha just that its takes time and you need to have a dom account
I have used it before, all you need to do is provide them with a copy of your admission letter, the school wire bank accounts, your international passport, your degree results and NYSC certificate.
The Money will be taken from your savings account, converted at the official CBN exchange rate, deposited into you dom account then wire off to the school directly. the whole process could take up to a week.

what he is talking about is paying with your master card or visa card online.
Some schools send you an authorization form, you just fill in your card details and sign, then the money will be taken off your account at the bank rate. Most bank rates differ on this i heard Gtbank is very expensive sha. I haven't done it before but someone i know has.

The other is if you have already paid the acceptance fee and your my student page has been updated, you can then pay subsequent fees online with your credit card from your student page. You have to speak to your bank to confirm how to get your credit card to work on a foreign site.
That was what i asked the diamond bank guy, there customer care.
Lol the Form A doesn't actually work like that, it does not go through any dorm account. It is just removed straight from your naira account and passes through CBN at the CBN rate to the schools account in another country. It took me just few hours to do. Not even up to a day if you use a Top branch in Lagos

Ok, i wasn't going to comment before but i guess tnuola encouraged me. Seriously, Padike, no offence but i dont agree with your comment this time around. We need to encourage people to be proactive. I like @soji... because he's always encouragin people to read n do research while he ans there questions. Like tnuola said, most of us here are expectin trv and the oldies are busy with school n hustle in Canada. If we dont encourage ourselves to read back and do our research, some people will ask questions and wrong ans will be given. I dont know much but the little i know, i learnt it by reading previous post. Like Hayqinsbfx said, wen i see ridiculous questions like can anyone tell me the schools that have high acceptance rate, common, no one is paid here, so i just read past it. I dont know any school that has high acceptance rate, and i guess google will do a great justice to that question. Yes, i dont agree to jengbetiele, u could have said it in a nice way. Please, modskiller, try to avoid insulting people here. I understand you had a similar experience in the past and im sure you have read so much from older post and you have developed more confidence about the whole application process. Let us embrace peace here and not turn this place into a fighting ring.

I mean not to offend anyone. I just feel we should work together to make this place a better place.

All the best to all TRV hopefuls. This week is blessed.
Bro..we are about the same thing, the only problem is the way they attack people that don't really understand how the thread even operates not to talk of going back to read. It can always be said in a nicer manner, not making every new person that comes look brainless. Most of us are out of uni nau. No matter what courtesy still has to be. We are all family

It sounds embarrassing and immature with the way and how the new folks here keep answering newbies. If everyone from the previous parts of the thread were like you guys only God knows which direction the thread would be headed by now. If you have an answer to give to someone regarding a question kindly say it, even if you want them to use google kindly explain to them and stop the way and how you keep feeling on top of the world. Those who are even asking you the question(s) may get a TRV before you. And if you know you don't know the answer which I know 90% don't, then keep mute rather than display your mosquito maturity on here. It's good if they read up, yes. But not every one has got the time. So please stop using your attitude to drive people away, it's unkind. I know some of you would wanna take shots at me, I ain't Jesus, I'm coming right back at you.
Exactly. Na people Wey never even get the trv dey dey rude to people pas. Dont know why we can't just be mature and only drop help than condemn or drive away with ' read back' 'lazy' 'stay there' rants
