This is not another story from the news or dem say dem say, this happened to me.
I woke up one Saturday morning in oct 2010, and after a little clean up at home & a visit to my neighbor, I developed an intense headache which is something I have not had for about 7 yrs. Later in the day things got worst, as I vomited everything I ate or drank and by midnight, I discovered I couldn’t pee…it was nothing until I woke up in the morning and discovered that I still couldn’t do it…I now knew that this was no joke, and if it was, then it wasn’t a funny one.

To cut the long story short, after spending 7 days in two different private hospitals, I ended up in a teaching hospital where I was received by a young female doctor, who filled in female instead of male on my admission card, and entered the wrong age as well. She was probably too tired to see or hear well, but it didn’t stop there as she went ahead to write the wrong injection for me. Please don’t ask me what happened next, but I managed to see everywhere tumbling down, with the ceiling and the floor changing places…for those of you that have been drunk before, I believe u know what am talking about. It took me another day to be normal again.

Then the journey towards recovery started. Of course typical of teaching hospitals, I saw all sorts of medical students and Doctors and managed to learn new words from their Dictionary. I took quite a number of injections, drips and the Dialysis too. For the benefit of those of you who might not know what dialysis is, Dialysis is the process of filtering the accumulated waste products of metabolism from the blood of a patient whose kidneys are not functioning properly, using a kidney machine.

It was during one of the dialysis sessions that one of the doctors cut the major artery supplying blood to my right leg. Mmmmmh….i knew heavy pain and no pain killer could eliminate this BIG WAHALA. Movement was almost impossible…the rest is not good to hear. So when my kidney had stabilized and I finally started to pass urine, I was thankful to God, at least what took me to hospital at the first instance is now behind.
The weeks turned to months with me eventually spending Christmas and New Year at the same hospital. Later when they could not do much to reverse the damage done to the leg, they brought in the surgeons who sentenced my leg…u know what I mean…butchers’s day! It was at this final announcement that my family decided that they have had enough from this hospital and made arrangement for me to have the amputation elsewhere.
With over N500,000 spent on drugs, I still got amputated. Thank God, after a close encounter with death at the first hospital – another story for another day - I am alive. I also Thank God I am coping well with life as an amputee. God is good!!!

NB.
• The dialysis department accepted responsibility for the carelessness after initially attempting to deny it, but hey refused to disclose the doctor who did it when my Family requested to know.
• Some doctors noted that it was embarrassing for one of them to make that mistake in what they described a very simple surgical procedure.
• At the specialist hospital where I was amputated, a Consultant explained to me in diagram how it happened and how flow of blood could have been restored to the nerves on my leg, thereby preventing gangrene from developing and the legs from being amputated.
• Friends, members of the public and even medical professionals have called on me and family members not to allow this to go without taking any legal action
• I was in hospital from late Oct 2009 – Feb 2010. After about 7 months of bed and later crutches, I am now learning to walk with the aid of an artificial limb.

What will you do if this had happened to you?…God forbid! And what is your opinion if I go ahead to make a legal issue out of this? Thank you!

Pastor Chris Blast came with a point, if anyone missed that point, then they should simply read it out again. I f there was a ban, i believe it came with a reason. But their sudden reversal of Ban clearly shows some degree of "doing things without reason"

I have mentioned that blackberry doesn’t have B200 and if any of our sales persons or delivery man brings anything to you that is not the original, branded Blackberry Bold 9700, don’t pay, simply send him away. I don’t see any use in you claiming I am scam and I sell B200, when thats not what i am selling. No, am not selling B200! Blackberry does not have B200.

@Sharon. Thanks for throwing out an advice about location. People who have called me have been told to say a location, office or anywhere suitable. In as much as Residential delivery seems to be the choice of most customers, I am more comfortable with making deliveries at offices, so no one has me arrested when we have coincidences…u understand what I mean?
