Travel › Re: How Much Does It Cost To Get A Nigerian Passport And How Quickly? by pafun(m): 9:33pm On Dec 19, 2024 |
OkanlawonB: A 10 year Nigerian Passport at the rate of 130k , is just too exorbitant for a country where the minimum wage is just 70k per month.
In contrast an EU passport cost averagely 70 euros (119k naira) in most EU countries and the net minimum wage is about 1,500 euros per month.
Nigeria seem quite expensive to live in. What is minimum wage person doing with passport? He need am to go heaven... or wetin he dey find up and down? |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Trump Says He Will End Birthright Citizenship by pafun(m): 5:42am On Dec 09, 2024 |
Melezenawii: President-elect Donald Trump said he still plans to end birthright citizenship in the United States on day one — but was unable to provide insight into how he would go around the 14th Amendment.
“We’re going to have to get it changed. We’ll maybe have to go back to the people,” Trump said in an interview with NBC’s Kristen Welker on that aired Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “But we have to end it.”
Trump also falsely noted that only the United States has birthright citizenship, despite other countries like Brazil and Canada also offering birthright citizenship.
Welker asked how Trump plans to end birthright citizenship and whether he would do it through executive action. Trump responded: “If we can, through executive action.”

GodisStriking: We'll oppress the poor, even if they are righteous. We'll show no respect for widows or old people. 11We'll call ourselves right if we are strong enough to get what we want. No one ever got anywhere by being weak! 12Righteous people are nothing but a nuisance, so let's look for chances to get rid of them. They are against what we do; they accuse us of breaking the Law of Moses and violating the traditions of our ancestors. 13They claim to know God, and they call themselves the Lord's children. 14We can't stand the sight of people like that; what they are contradicts our whole way of thinking. 15They are not like us;
The Wisdom of Solomon Chapter 2 exposes how sodomites and occultists actually think about the righteous. Wow!... just wow! Na God go punish the person wey do you this kind thing. |

Politics › Re: Petrol Is Cheaper In Atlanta Than In Nigeria - Kperogi by pafun(m): 7:07pm On Nov 30, 2024 |
cococandy: First of all that was a question. You didn’t reply before you started asking me about smugglers. I was genuinely asking what’s the cost of petrol to Nigerians compared to the surrounding countries who I’m inclined to believe have similar economies. Is it cheaper or not for Nigerians? I’m truly asking because I don’t know.
As for your question. If someone smuggles petrol, it might not necessarily be because they’re going to sell it more expensive elsewhere. It might be because they got it from illegal sources in Nigeria and can’t sell there. Maybe due to licensing issues or they don’t have the infrastructure to distribute it to end users. So they smuggle wholesale to people who will sell it elsewhere. Either way they make their profit because they are part of class who can get it for cheap or next to nothing. People who can smuggle petrol have connections. The end consumer doesn’t have that privilege. Oh okay. Enjoy your day. |

ogododo: https://www.farooqkperogi.com/2024/11/petrol-is-cheaper-in-atlanta-than-in Idiut ni man yi o. First I don’t know where in “metro Atlanta” he is buying his gas from. Must be a dangerous neighborhood. Secondly does he realize that we were subsidizing petrol for the entire West Africa region? What nation can afford that? When monkeys like Kperogi take one commodity and links it to minimum wages just to try and prove a lame point you should also ask him how much an apartment costs to rent in “metro Atlanta “ and compare it to Nigeria. Ask him how much one plantain, one mango, one corn etc costs and compare to Nigeria. In my Atlanta neighborhood by the way, gasoline sells at around $3.90 and a single bedroom apartment goes for around $1400 per month. Now go compare that to Nigeria using the same minimum range. So dumb an article. |
